  1. Her cheeks flushed with embarrassment as Shadow spoke. But there was also a sense of pride in being able to please him. It was a strange mixture of emotions that seemed to mix whenever she enjoyed his company. Between that and the strange brain fog she had been experiencing lately whenever she tried to think about Azrael, Lilythe was completely at Shadow's mercy. He could keep her wanting him intimately, while keeping Azrael away. All without Lilythe realizing that anything was amiss. When he finally pulled her off his cock, Lilythe gasped for air. Before she knew it she was on her feet, Shadow's lips against hers, a hand at her breast, and his cock poised to enter her. She let out a moan into the kiss, her desire for him building as his free hand searched her body. His tongue snaked into her mouth, and Lilythe instinctively suckled softly on it, before letting it go. Lilythe's cheeks resumed their red hue as she replied. "Fuck me, daddy. Please."
  2. Lilythe gave the girl a soft comforting smile. "I'm happy to hear that I've made you feel welcome and accepted." That was one of her biggest goals with the new campers that came through her doors. Since almost every camper would spend at least one night in the Hermes cabin, she was one of the first people of authority that new campers met. If she created an atmosphere that was uninviting then it would make the camp as a whole seem unwelcoming. That wouldn't do for ensuring the safety of demigods! So she always tried her best to be as welcoming as possible. It was a relief to hear that it was working! "Feel free to have a tour around the grounds as much as you want! Just make sure you don't forget to grab dinner and head to the bonfire tonight." Lilythe gestured towards the camp in an effort to give visual permission to go explore. It was great that Amy wanted to look around. After all, she would be living here for however long she decided to. It was only smart to get to know the place. "I'll be up at The Big House if you need anything before then." ~~~~~~~~~ END RP ~~~~~~~~~
  3. Lilythe just shook her head. "If you're going to avoid the question, I'm going to guess that it's something you know I wouldn't approve of. I'm not an idiot." She gave a chuckle to show that there was no real ill-will here. She preferred to be gentle and supportive where she could, but Ares campers liked to push those boundaries. It often required being on the stern side to get the point across. While she wasn't really looking to punish anyone tonight, she wanted to make sure that the camper was at least safe. The last thing she needed was to write a letter to someone's parents that included the phrase 'Because they were left unsupervised'. "But I am going to recommend that you at least get a second person in here to make sure you don't get injured--or if you do that there's someone to call for medical attention." It had honestly been considered to make it an official part of the rules that a second party was necessary in the forge. Particularly for the last reason mentioned. There had been enough injuries by the Hephaestus campers over the year that she was surprised it wasn't already a rule. She could clearly remember a couple of campers who became amputees over night. Nectar could fix a lot of things, but dismemberment was hard to come back from. Nightly rounds had begun and she knew that Dustin would be there before long. If she played her cards right she could leave the girl with him and he could handle it. Since they were his siblings, and ultimately his responsibility, Ares campers were often best dealt with by him. Of all the campers in that cabin, he at least had the desire to try to restrain himself. It was one of the things that made him the best for that position as Cabin Leader. She wasn't sure what she would do if he ever decided to leave the camp and she had to pick a new one. Anytime now Dustin... It didn't take long for her silent prayer to be answered. Before long she could hear footsteps. Tagging in: @ Dustin Graves
  4. Lilythe gave a sigh that was somehow simultaneously relief and exasperation. She was grateful that Mateo was okay. She was even impressed that he was thinking about building a real future with Helena, it seemed. But she still wished he would have checked in before running off and doing all of this. "Well... as long as you're safe. But yeah, if I'm grumpy I'm sure Helena's going to be even angrier. You better get in touch soon." Lilythe said, her tone very much taking on the 'camp mom' persona that she had. "You'd be safer in Camp Half-Blood, but... I understand." She said with a soft smile. "You're still going to keep doing the job, yeah?" She smirked. "Because I think Argus is appreciating the help coming from someone that isn't a harpy." It was her way of lightening the mood. Now that everything was okay, she was happy enough to let him do whatever it was that he wanted. She wasn't his actual mother, after all, and he was an adult now anyway. He didn't really need her permission or approval, so pretending he did wasn't going to do any of them any real good. "When are you coming back next? Do you need me to bring Helena to The Big House? She's been hiding out in her cabin mostly since she's starting to show..."
  5. As Vienna started to chastise her for being mad over Azrael letting her believe he had hated her, Lilythe fixed her with a look that said it all. She was not going to hear any dissenting opinions on that. To her it had been one of the biggest pains she had endured--which said a lot given that she had participated in several literal wars by now. "Oh I don't know, Vee. He disappeared without even so much as a goodbye. He kept in touch with you and James, but wouldn't return any of my letters or accept any of my Iris messages. What was I supposed to think? And Azrael's not an idiot. He had to know I would take it that way." "Obviously I know now that he didn't hate me. But... I'm still working through the anger, okay? He had years to reach out, and he didn't until I was single. I'm hurt because he was supposed to be my friend, and rather than talk to me or let me know, he vanished... Poof!" It didn't seem all that unreasonable to her that she was upset about that. She had been upset about it before Shadow had even returned to camp. Though she didn't know it, the fact that she had this feeling was the entire reason Shadow's magic was starting to work at all. If she hadn't been upset with him to begin with, Lilythe likely would have noticed something was fishy right away. However, because she was already working through her anger with him, Shadow's magic could build on that and twist it, all without Lilythe even catching on. lilythe breathed a sigh of relief as Vienna let the subject change. "I promise I'm careful. I'm already camp 'mom' without needing to be an actual 'mom'" Lilythe said with a laugh. "So... do you want to come in? Or did you have somewhere to be?"
  6. Lilythe had to stifle a giggle as Leroy asked if the glowing was voodoo. She just continued with her explanation of his claiming. Before long he was off chatting with Derrick and no longer had his attention on her. She looked around at the other unclaimed children, hoping that more parents would claim them soon. It wasn't that Lilythe didn't love having a full cabin, she did. But it warmed her heart to see the child go from not knowing who their parent was to finding their brothers and sisters and getting a sense of belonging. That was the best part of the claiming, in her mind. So when she felt the warmth of the sun's rays, despite it having set, she knew that another claiming must be happening and a smile crossed her face as she turned to the source. Turning to the young girl, Lilythe gave Amelia a warm smile. Above her shone a miniature version of the sun bright, and on the wind she could hear the soft sound of a lyre's tune. "Amelia, your father has claimed you. You are a child of Apollo, god of the sun, healing, and music...along with a whole list he's probably upset with me for not reciting. You may go join your siblings in Cabin 7 now." She said, gesturing over towards the rest of her siblings off to one side.
  7. When she arrived at his cabin, his siblings were quick to tell her that she could find him up at The Big House. Lilythe quickly turned around and headed up that way. She hoped he was truly there and that they hadn't sent her on a wild goose chase. A smirk crossed Lilythe's face as she realized that Azrael was, indeed, here. However, he thought she was a new camper. She could feel her mind racing as she tried to come up, in the split-second she had, with a plan to mess with him. Immediately she thought to pitch her voice higher, but then the idea for an accent came and that led to an even better idea. She had learned bits and pieces of languages over the years, but spoke nothing fluently. Still, she could manage the phrase she needed in just about any language. I don't speak English. It was perfect. He'd have to come to her, right? If he couldn't give English instructions. Putting on a thick French accent, she pitched her voice higher as well to throw him off, and repeated the phrase she had heard when in Paris. "Je ne parle pas anglais." With that done, she took a seat on one of the chairs just off the main entrance, but out of the line of sight from the windows on the patio and waited for Azrael to come out to greet her. This will be fun.
  8. Lilythe let out another gentle moan as Azrael continued to tease her. "Yes, sir." She whimpered as his first string of words came out. The words themselves as much of a taunt as his actions. The length of his cock pressed against her body and Lilythe was reminded of their night in New York. If the passion they had shared that night was any indication, she would be in for a wonderful night with Azrael truly letting go and succumbing to his lust for her. Her desperation began to build the more she thought about it. "If you want me to beg, I'll beg. If you want me to scream, I'll scream. I'm yours to play with." Lilythe responded, reassuring him that this was, in fact, what she wanted from him. "Please, sir. Please fuck me."
  9. Amelia fairly quiet during the tour. Lilythe wasn't going to complain, it was a nice relief from some of the more obnoxious campers she gave a tour to. So she just kept walking and giving the tour. It came as no surprise, however, when after the tour was over there were questions. Though, she had to admit that the question she asked was one Lilythe hadn't heard before. "Not exactly. I suppose you could try to use the amphitheater, it's the closest thing to a stage. But we won't have a barre or private studio to use at all." She said in reply to Amelia's question. "So, just a reminder... You'll be staying with me in Cabin 11 tonight and until you're claimed. Your parent will claim you before your 13th birthday. While you're with me, I'll treat you just like I do all my half-brothers and half-sisters. You're family. If your parent isn't my dad, then after you leave? You're still family. Just changes you to being a cousin instead." Lilythe truly thought of all her campers as family, for the most part. "So you can always come find me if you need anything." She said with a smile. "But for now, sounds like you're ready to go adventure for a bit. We'll all meet at the bonfire after dinner. So I'll see you then!" And she gestured towards the camp letting them know they were free to head off if they wanted. She would linger around for a bit just in case they decided they had questions after all.
  10. The bonfire had only just begun. Things were still strange for her. She couldn't really figure out what was going on. Her head felt like it was in a constant fog most days. The only things that seemed clear was Shadow and her duties as a Cabin Leader. As the campers began to pour in. Before long the campfire was roaring and most of the members of Camp Half-Blood were sitting there around it. As had become tradition, Lilythe guided the new campers, including @ Leroy Bernard to the front of the group. She smiled and reassured them that everything would be okay, explaining to the younger ones--those not quite 13 yet--that their parents may not claim them tonight and may wait until they were older, and ensuring those who had reached their thirteenth year, or close to it, that their parent would claim them tonight. They didn't have to wait long. As soon as the sun set the gods began their work. Lilythe searched the crowd for the first claiming. It was only a matter of a few minutes before it began. As James took his seat, however, Lilythe caught a faint green light. She looked over towards the source. Sure enough, just above the head of Leroy a shimmering green, four leave clover appeared. At his feat a few drachmae appeared, and a cornucopia appeared in his lap, filled with more drachmae. Lilythe knew well enough that the drachmae were likely to disappear shortly, but it was an impressive sum while it lasted. "I have good news for you my friend. Tonight's your last night in Cabin 11. You've been claimed. Your Mother is Tyche, goddess of fortunes both good and bad. Welcome to Cabin 19." Lilythe beamed, happy for the young boy.
  11. Lilythe was making her usual rounds around the campgrounds. Things had been strange lately. She still felt like her brain was in a fog most of the time. Like she needed to remember something--or someone--but couldn't seem to bring herself to. The only thing that ever came to her clearly anymore, truly, was Shadow. She found it strange, but couldn't bring herself to feel anything but comfort by it. That odd spot in her life was what was busying her mind when she stepped into the forge, expecting to find it empty. It was getting pretty late, after all, and most of the campers had made their way back to the cabins. She did not, however, find it empty. As she stepped in she could hear the distinct clanking of tools. Lilythe silently tiptoed her way towards the noise. There, hunched over something they were working on, was another camper. A child of Ares if she wasn't mistaken. "Everly... what are you up to?" She asked in that tone she reserved for when she needed to play camp mom. As the Cabin Leader for Cabin 11, Lilythe had met every single camper at some point or another, because they passed through her care before their parents claimed them. Hermes hosted all the "travellers" since he was the god of travellers, and so it had been her honor and privilege to touch the lives of all the demigods at camp. That didn't mean it wasn't also a headache sometimes. Especially when children of Ares arrived at camp. They always seemed to have attitudes bigger than themselves. While she had a soft spot in her heart for them, she also acknowledge that they were almost always a handful. She couldn't deny feeling just a bit of relief whenever one left her cabin for Cabin 5. @ Everly Maisley ((OoC: Godmodding was only to set the scene that was discussed with Everly's writer beforehand. 12. "Pleased to meet you Amelia." Lilythe smiled as the young girl seemed to be ready to see the campground now. She knew that, much like some of the other campers before them, the poor girl probably hadn't really had much of a stable place to call home that felt safe. She had worked with that before, and would for as long as she was at Camp Half-Blood. Lilythe stood up from her seat. "This is The Big House. We're a bit literal here sometimes." Lilythe chuckled. "We always have a cabin leader up here to help greet new campers, and generally help Mr. D with things." She paused briefly before continuing. "Mr. D is the Dionysus. Greek god of Wine, Parties, and Madness. If you respect nobody else here, I'd recommend respecting him--no matter how disrespectful he is to you--or else you may very well find yourself turned into a strawberry plant." That was not an exaggeration. Mr. D was not exactly fond of the half-bloods to begin with, and any excuse to turn them into a plant was taken up at every opportunity. "And no, I'm not kidding." Lilythe moved out to the porch and gestured towards the campgrounds. "Over there are the volleyball courts. And that building is for Arts and Crafts." Lilythe pointed to the courts and the greek-looking buildings off to the east of the house. "To the west are the strawberry fields, and only some of those plants are former campers." Lilythe said with a smile as she started walking down the steps, taking strides towards the grounds. As she walked up the trail, she gestured. "Over there are the Forge. The Hephaestus kids spend a lot of time there. Though anyone's welcome to help them." The young girl might be the arts and crafts type, or maybe some metalwork would be up their alley. It was good to have a hobby around here, because things could get really boring otherwise when there weren't quests or events happening. "Behind the forge are the Pegasus stables and to the north is the Armory." Lilythe kept walking along the path, letting Amelia follow her. "Up ahead we have the Arena where we practice our combat skills, and then just beyond that are the cabins. In the middle of all our cabins is a large bonfire. We gather every night before bed, sing some songs, roast marshmallows, and sometimes the godly parents claim their kids. And the showers are to the east of the cabins, and the mess hall is to the north." Lilythe stopped along the path and gestured further up. "If you follow the path you come to a lake where we do some canoeing, the forest where we play capture the flag will be to the northwest of the cabins, and beyond the lake further up the path will be the Amphitheater and the Climbing Wall. The path ends at a beach, where the Long Island Sound is." Lilythe turned back around and faced the boys. "While you're here we'll train you to be heroes. So that you can protect yourself against the monsters that hunt you simply because you smell like the gods. You're not trapped here. You can leave at any time to return home if you like--or you can get permission if you just want to go on a day trip into the city. But we have a magic boundary that helps protect us from the monsters here, and it's a safe place for you for as long as you want it." She offered a warm smile to her temporary companion. "I know it may not feel like it yet, but I hope one day it feels like home." She genuinely meant it. After the wars, Lilythe had worked hard to foster an environment around camp that helped support one another and really keep the place safe for everyone. When she took over Cabin 11 from her half-brother Conner when he left to follow Travis at college, Lilythe had doubled those efforts to ensure that every camper had a warm welcome. Even the ones that were more rough around the edges. "You will be staying with me in Cabin 11, where the 'travellers' and children of Hermes reside, until your parent claims you. But I have a feeling your parent will claim you soon. You look like you'll be 13 soon, and they have to claim you before then." She reassured the young girl. "Do you have any questions before I turn you loose?"
  13. Lilythe could hear the nerves in the poor girl's voice. She had seen it several times over the years. Campers often arrived scared and unsure, things had changed so suddenly and they found themselves having to come to terms with a whole new reality in a matter of minutes. It was overwhelming to say the least. "Pleasure to meet you. I'm sorry, I forgot to ask your name. What should I call you, dear?" She said with a reassuring smile. Settling into her chair, Lilythe nodded as the young girl asked her question. Grabbing her lemonade, she took a sip. There was a lot of information she was going to have to go over. She could tell. The satyr must not have had much time with the girl, or perhaps the girl hadn't thought to ask him anything. Lilythe had no way of knowing what had occurred on their trip after all. "It'll just be a lot to take in. You might want to get comfortable." "This is a camp for half-bloods. We're the half-mortal children of the Greek Gods. Demigods. I run Cabin 11, the Hermes Cabin, and that happens to also be where you'll be staying for the night since we don't know who your godly parent is. Hermes is the god of travellers, so we house those of you who are 'travelling' until your parent claims you." She sat back in her chair. She paused here, knowing that it would take a minute for that to truly process and sink in. "Out there, beyond the camp, there are monsters. Heaps of them. Monsters that mortals can't see, but we can. And to them we smell like the most delicious cake you've ever tasted. Here, at Camp Half-Blood, we train half-bloods to be heroes so that you can protect yourself from the monsters out there in the mortal world." Lilythe grabbed a cookie and nibbled on it while letting that information process. This was going to be a shock to her system, Lilythe guessed. She was fairly certain Amelia hadn't been told anything before arriving. Lilythe said. "It's okay... I know this is a lot of information and a really big change. But you're safe here. And you can decide whether you want to stay. But, I promise you're safe here." And she truly meant it. Things hadn't happened to the campers at Camp Half-Blood in nearly 10 years now. She truly hoped and believed that the worst days were behind them. "Would you like to know more about the camp?"
  14. Lilythe could hear the familiar sound of the front porch steps creaking, followed shortly by the front door swinging open. She smiled as she heard an unknown voice. A new camper. "I'll be right there! Make yourself at home." She called from the kitchen towards the front of the house. Lilythe poured a couple glasses of lemonade and threw together a plate of cookies before following through with her promise. Placing the beverages and cookies onto a tray, Lilythe walked herself into the front room. "Welcome to Camp Half-Blood. I'm Lilythe, one of the cabin leaders here at the camp. I'm sure you're tired and have a ton of questions." She said sweetly, and placed the tray down on the table before the girl. Grabbing one of the glasses of lemonade, she took a sip and sat in a chair opposite the couch the young girl sat upon. "Please feel free to relax, have a cookie or two, and drink some lemonade. I'm here to answer any questions you might have. And when you're ready I can show you the camp." Lilythe said with a smile.
  15. ~~~ Mid-December 2021 ~~~ Lilythe awoke with a headache. She hadn't remembered drinking anything, so it couldn't be that. Over the past week or so, her mind had been incredibly foggy. She felt a bit light-headed more often then not, and it was hard to focus on anything. Anything that wasn't Shadow, anyway. Thoughts of him seemed to come to her mind clear as day, while even though it hadn't been long since their last encounter, she was struggling to remember Azrael's face. Popping a couple aspirin, Lilythe got dressed. She had decided that she needed to see Azrael. If for no other reason, than because she missed him. At least, that had to be what forgetting what his face looked like meant, right? She wasn't entirely sure what was going on, but she figured it wouldn't hurt to try and spend some time with him to get her head back on straight. Once dressed, she applied a thin layer of natural looking makeup and hopped out of her cabin, making her way to cabin 16. As she arrived, she chewed nervously on her lip. What if Azzy had been trying to avoid her? She wasn't sure where that thought had really come from, but she couldn't deny it evoked a lot of anxiety in her. Azrael had left camp for several years because he couldn't stand to watch her date someone else. It would make sense if he was avoiding her again now that Shadow was back at camp, right? She would just have to convince him not to leave this time. That everything could be okay. And she was still just figuring things out herself. Please...I can't lose him again. She prayed internally to whatever god might listen.
  16. "He's kind and courageous." Lilythe smiled, thinking about when they were teenagers all the hijinks and adventures they would get up to before Shadow had pulled her away from all her friends with his jealousy. There was so much about back then that she missed. But mostly she missed how happy they had all been. Well, at least as happy as a bunch of traumatized teenagers could be anyway. "Intelligent. You know he was attending the university in New Rome." That intelligence was something Lilythe prized in a partner. Being able to hold a conversation with them, long term, was just as important to her as the physical attraction. "Honestly, Larissa, there are a lot of 'pros' for Azzy. He was my best friend for year and years. I was so sad when he left, and I felt so much joy when I saw him return. But... I just don't think I'm ready to forgive him yet for letting me be mad all that time. And that's not exactly fair to him..." And there it was. The real root of why Lilythe wouldn't just jump into a relationship with Azrael or even admit to herself that she wanted to. She was still hurting, angry, and didn't want to hurt him in the process while she was healing. Lilythe very clearly cared about him, but he had hurt her pretty badly with his actions. "Besides, I'm not sure I even know my own feelings about him yet. Not really..."
  17. Lilythe had just spent some intimate time with Shadow. She felt like she was always with him now. But this time it was by her choice, at least that was what she believed; unaware of the magic that Shadow had been working in the background. She had thrown on her clothes and was headed back to her cabin from the Hecate cabin when a rainbow and shimmer of mist appeared before her. Glad it wasn't a few minutes ago or that could have been very embarrassing. She thought to herself. Turning towards the Iris message, she began. "Hello?" Before long the clear image of Mateo Sanz appeared before her."Mateo! Where the hell have you been? Your brother and I have been worried sick!" Lilythe had been the 'camp mom' for as long as anyone could remember. Nobody left at camp had been there longer than her, and very few were left who had been there as long. As leader of the Hermes cabin every camper passed through her doors at one point or another. So she looked after all of them as if they were her own. And anyone dating Lilythe would need to know and understand that. Whether or not Shadow had actually worried about Mateo's safety, only he could truly know. But he had at least done his part in supporting Lilythe through her worry and validating her. Only he would know if that was all an act or not, and Lilythe wasn't in the right frame of mind due to his spells to question it. "Are you hurt? Should I send some more campers to come support you? Oh I knew I should have sent three. Always send three! She thought aloud. Three was a magic number in ancient Greece. All quests were done in sets of three, with the exceedingly rare exception of when it was seven. Lilythe had only seen a prophecy for seven once in her entire time at camp. Every other prophecy had always been three. That's why quests were always done in groups of three. Sure, this hadn't been a quest per se, but now Lilythe was wishing she had treated it like one. If Mateo was injured she would only blame herself. And if he wasn't injured, he had better have a damn good excuse for worrying her like this. And Helena... Poor, pregnant, and heartbroken Helena. She hadn't heard from Mateo yet. That was the main reason Lilythe had been so worried. Mateo had seemed so determined to make things right with her before he left, so when Helena never got a letter from him, Lilythe began to get incredibly worried, and assumed the worst. She was relieved to see he was alive, but she could already feel the anger building if he didn't have a good excuse for not contacting her yet.
  18. "I'm doing alright, mostly. I think." She said with a smile towards Annie. "How badly are you injured? Do I need to run up to The Big House and get the nectar? Or should I run and grab an Apollo camper?" Nectar was typically saved for dire straits as it wasn't an endless supply, and the Apollo campers were renowned healers in the camp. They could fix just about anything faster than it would take mortal doctors. Still, neither option was really instantaneous. They both took some time to fully heal you. As Annie joined her, and began to help, Lilythe knew that the injury couldn't be too severe and her nerves seemed to settle. She couldn't help feeling protective over the campers, especially those who were under her care in Cabin 11. While she was there to support every camper, those in Cabin 11 held a special place in her heart. She was their Cabin Leader after all. Lilythe chuckled as Annie spoke about hanging with whoever she wanted. "Azrael and Shadow are both busy today, and I am sure James is with Larissa. I don't know what Vienna's up to, but sometimes that's for the best." The people she listed were all the people she would typically spend any free time with. Her lovers, and her best friends. "Besides, I'm due for a shift at The Big House in a couple hours anyway. And we'll be expecting a surge of new campers soon. So this cabin will be busier than ever until they're claimed. This is probably the last chance I'll have to really clean for a while." She shrugged. "What were you planning to do as you hung around the cabin?"
  19. Lilythe giggled and popped open the bottle. "I didn't think you'd say no." She said with a wink and began to pour the two of them a glass each. The wine wasn't anything incredibly fancy, but it was a decent enough bouquet that it could suffice for an evening between old friends. The two of them had been separated for so long, and even though they had written letters and done the occasional Iris message, nothing beat an in-person conversation. Lilythe settled into her seat with her wine as she listened to Vienna's story. The way Vi's face lit up as she spoke about New Rome, Lilythe could tell that it must have been a very magical place for her. It had probably helped her push away some of the old trauma associated with camp and really feel free again. Lilythe envied that about her. She still bore a lot of the burden of the events from the various wars she'd participated in. She began to get a starry-eyed look on her face as her focus began to drift, a bad habit of hers that her friends were more than used to by now, when Vi asked her about her trip. "Oh it wasn't much, not really. I just let my impulses take over, whenever I came to a crossroads. It led me down south to Florida." Lilythe's father was the god of travelers. Whenever she felt the urge to leave camp, and got the permission to do so, Lilythe would let her impulses taking control, trusting that it was her father guiding the way. It was just a superstition she'd had since she was a little girl. But it gave her comfort when not many things did. "Anyway, as soon as I got there I decided to go visit all the obvious attractions. Don't ask how I got in." She winked. Her father was also the god of thieves. "Had a bit of fun. Flirted with a few men at the beach. Drank some cocktails in the Keys. And then, eventually, decided that I missed home." Chewing on her lip, Lilythe dared to ask. "Now that you're back, you planning on staying a while?" She had missed all her friends who had left camp, but most of all she had missed Vienna. When Vi left, Lilythe had a particularly big hole in her heart that was hard to fill. Even though she knew the girl wasn't gone forever, she struggled with her best friend being so far away. While she would never ask Vi to stay at Camp just to keep her happy, she couldn't really hide the fact that she had missed her friend dearly.
  20. Lilythe watched the array of emotions that crossed over her best friend's face as she took it all in. She guessed it must have been a hard pill to swallow. And she couldn't really blame Vi after everything that Shadow had put her through before. But he seemed to genuinely be repentant and that had to be worth something, right? And Lilythe couldn't honestly say that she had stopped loving him just because she realized that leaving was healthier at the time. "I know, Vi. And I'll be careful. Promise, the first sign of controlling Shadow and I'll stop things between us." She tried to offer her a reassuring smile. "But I never left him before, either. I think that really got through to him. So yes, I do think. At least for now..." Shrugging at Vienna's question, Lilythe continued. "I've been honest with both of them that I'm not ready for a commitment just now. And that I would be seeing other men. I didn't say specifically who those men were, because it's none of their business and I thought it was only going to create unnecessary drama that would cloud things, given their history together. They both found out eventually, obviously, because nothing stays secret here. But honestly? Neither of them has said anything. Not yet anyway. So as far as I know, yeah. They must be okay with it." That was the truth as she knew it. If either of the men were upset about it, neither of them was telling her. They were both honoring her desire to come to her own conclusion in her own time. Honestly, Lilythe respected that about both of them. "Vi... I can't put Azzy's feelings before my own. He's a grown up, if he has a problem he needs to say something. I love him, I really do. But he let me believe for years that he hated me. It wouldn't be fair to him to commit to him when I'm still upset about that. It would cause problems. And his actions have consequences. The consequences are that I don't trust him the same way I did when I was 15." Either Vienna would understand, and be supportive. Or she wouldn't. And honestly, either would be fine with Lilythe. Their friendship wasn't something delicate and fragile. They had been through literal wars together, traumas. Lilythe could handle Vi being a little judgmental of her actions if she couldn't get over it immediately.
  21. It was the beginning of the summer. Schools in the United States would be wrapping up term soon, if they hadn't already, and the campers who returned to their homes for the school year would be back soon. Additionally, there would also be swaths of new campers coming to join them. Because Hermes was the God of Travelers, Cabin 11 always played host to all the unclaimed campers as well as any children of minor deities that didn't have cabins of their own yet. Lilythe was constantly receiving new additions to the cabin, and the influx over the summer just intensified it. Lilythe found herself prepping the cabin for the massive rush of new and returning campers to Cabin 11. She was in the common area, sweeping under the furniture, when she heard the door open. Looking over at the sound, she noticed Annie walking in. "Oh, hey Annie! Hope you're doing well." She said with a smile before resuming the task of cleaning the cabin.
  22. Lilythe had been fast asleep in her bed. Things had been absolutely crazy lately, and she had been getting very little sleep for an abundance of reasons. So tonight, she had actually been looking forward to sleeping. That was until someone decided that the middle of the night was a perfect time to throw a heavy metal party in her cabin. If it had been another cabin she might have just rolled over and ignored it. Ares kids blasted their heavy metal all the time, Dionysus kids threw parties into the wee hours of the morning often, and the Apollo kids were known to have jam sessions that lasted far too long. She ignored all of them because that was their cabin leaders' responsibility to handle unless someone dragged her into it. But this was clearly in her cabin, and she knew exactly who it would be before she even pulled the covers off of her. Fuming, she pulled herself out of bed and stormed down the hallway until she got to the room where she heard the noise. She threw the door open and slammed it against the wall before reaching over and unplugging the CD player from the speakers. "What part of 'Lights Out' did you not understand?" She said, staring at both of them individually. "It's the middle of the gods damned night. People are sleeping. What in all of Hades's underworld were you thinking?"
  23. Lilythe smiled at Shadow. "You know me so well." She kissed his cheek gently. Shadow had been so much more attentive to her wants and needs this time around, from Lilythe's perspective. He still seemed to want a large portion of her time, but she supposed that was normal for a partner. It would be weird if he didn't want to spend time with me, right? Lilythe thought to herself. As long as things weren't getting in the way of her duties to the camp and her friendships, she was willing to believe that Shadow had really put in the effort to change. She was contentedly sitting with him when one of her favorite campers showed up. Vienna sauntered over to them and shoved Shadow aside. Lilythe giggled as she heard the whoopie cushion go off, while Vienna wedged herself between them. From where Lilythe stood, Vienna seemed to be coming around to the idea that she and Shadow would be spending time together. At least, she no longer barged into the cabin in the middle of the night freaking out over people talking about them being seen together, which had happened not too long ago. Lilythe was completely oblivious to the fact that her best friend and her lover couldn't stand one another. "Glad you could make it Vi!"
