About Me

  1. Devin Long biography Born in west county, St. Louis to a mom who worked at a garage as a secretary, front desk lady. So he spent most of time playing in the garage and the older gentlemen mechanics would teach him a few things here and there. They would talk to Steve, the owner of the shop who wasn’t actually a very good mechanic. At about six was the first time he accidentally burned a candle by making the flame so intense, vibrating the atoms so vigorously that the wick burned inside the wac also. It seemed like the fire was mimicking his intensity with his anger. It happened when he and his mother got into a fight. This amazed and scared him and he could not figure out how it happened. He would turn to his mother after however she could not explain it either. She would let Steve know what happened. He would spend the next few days making Star Wars hands at every candle but not understanding why it wouldn’t happen again. He would spend everyday at the mechanics before and after school till he was about 9. He had to study more for a test and formed a study group. when he was attacked by something in his school and he accidentally burnt the school's library down defending himself. He had noticed that the librarian was paying a little too much attention to Devon. All of a sudden he saw feathers sprouting from her and The monster moved with great speed. When he got angry and scared a fire would form in his hand and he would just start throwing them willy nilly. The fire in the library got more intense the more upset and scared that devon got. Devon would rush home. Steve had gone over after hearing about the attack. He wanted to talk to Devon’s mother about getting devon to Camp half-blood as soon as possible now. He saw the same type of creature which he recognized as a harpy attacking Devon’s mother. Steve would fight it off. Steve was his protector,a satyr. He knew they were after Devon because of his abilities. When he got home Steve was over and grabbed the young buy stuck him in a 69 Chevy and drove to camp half-blood. Devon was so confused seeing a half goat trying to drive and asked so many questions on the trip to camp half-blood. He would try to answer as many as he could. The only thing he could answer was why they were after him. He would try to explain that Devon was a demigod, and a very rare one with the power of pyrokinesis which made him more valuable and more of a threat to others and that The harpy killed his mother. He arrived at camp half-blood and found out that he could control fire. Chiron would go into more depth about the pyrokinesis. About how the last camper with it was some kid named Leo and how it is very rare. When he turned 11 he was claimed by Hephaestus which shocked no one because of his fire abilities. He would celebrate that night and then move to cabin nine He would be trained and learned how to control those abilities. They would train him in fighting too so that he could defend himself better next time he got attacked. However he fell in love with building machines and weapons for the camp, taking in requests all the time. He would spend from 13-16 building a mechanical horse to ride that was as fast as motorcycles and cars it ran off of his pyrokinesis. They would train him in weapons and fighting but his true love was building and forging. Personality He tends to be more of a loner than anything. He is friendly but likes to alone in the garage or a workshop rather than in a large group of people. He does not like to go in front of crowds or show off any talents he might have. He is quite Reserve when he is off the battlefield or not in his garage. But if you ask him about a device or a weapon he can talk for days. He is not very talkative but is a very good listener, sometimes. He tends to be a little reckless at times even though he is calculating and very good at making things work. He tries to make machines that might be too reckless or explode or cause damage. This extends to battles too; he fights in a reckless manor. It takes a lot for him to make friends or relationships in general so the ones that he does he is very loyal. He is also very protective over his family and friends. he tends to be a little secretive about his ideas and drawings. He is also talking to himself a lot of the times doing calculations and things in his head. About Me Birthdate: October 19, 2003 Likes: working on and riding his machines, salty foods, sea food, mechanics, hard rock ,older cars, St. Louis sports teams Dislikes: modern cars, large groups, Chicago sports teams, swimming, the ocean in general. 2. Beatrix "Trix" McCoy biography Trix was born in 2006 to her mother Elizabeth. Elizabeth was just 19 when Trix was conceived in a club bathroom. The hook up was as passionate as it was unprotected, and the affair that followed? Pitifully short-lived. A goth with substance issues, Elizabeth relapsed soon after Beatrix was born. She just wasn't able to maintain the sobriety she kept up during the pregnancy, and soon Trix was taken away from her. Elizabeth's mother Cynthia was given legal guardianship of the child. With Elizabeth recently in prison for drug and battery charges, one could describe Trix's home life as troubled, even broken. While Cynthia was a good woman, she found being a grandma hard; Trix had never been an easy child. She was always doing reckless things and causing trouble at school; it seemed that Trix was almost completely fearless. She picked fights with bullies twice her age, vandalised school property, etc. Trix's peers avoided her, calling her creepy; she told a lot of gruesome ghost stories, feeling strangely energised by her peer's fear. Friends she may have made were banned from engaging with her by their parents -- she was only seven when her reputation began to precede her. Trix started running away from home at the age of nine. This habit, along with her blossoming pyromania, saw her shipped off to a strict boarding school for delinquent kids. The school was a harsh institution, stopping just short of being unlawful. Trix was often in detention, being verbally abused by the headmaster. This made her lash out even more, occasionally violently. After throwing a chair across the room in a surprising feat of strength, she was made to work as assistant to the groundsman, Mr. Wilder, as punishment. One day, weeding the herb garden with Mr. Wilder, Beatrix was attacked by a harpy. It took a decent scrape at her arm before Mr. Wilder’s favourite trowel transformed into a short-sword. A battle ensued as Trix watched from the ground, taken aback. She soon collected herself, and used her fearlessness to her advantage: she wielded a garden fork and finished the beast off. Kind, patient Mr. Wilder explained what was going on. He was a satyr, and Beatrix was a demigod. He readied Trix for the journey to camp. Mr. Wilder's letter to Grandma Cynthia was met with an indication that she had passed away of natural causes in Trix's absence. This left Trix without a viable guardian. Mr. Wilder took her to Camp Half Blood. He kindly pretended not to hear Trix's crying at night, knowing she'd be humiliated that she'd let her guard down while someone could hear. Beatrix was claimed by Phobos at the end of her first week at Camp, at 11 years old. It did little to alleviate her feelings of being alone in the world. She has since found a home at CHB, and is very attached to the Camp. She enjoys playing pranks, telling scary stories to the new arrivals, and using her powers to figure out what her peers fear most. Personality Beatrix is 5'2 of pure, red-headed confidence. She is thrill-seeking, and can come off as fearless and disrespectful. Amongst her favourite hobbies are flirting, scaring people, and being vaguely off-putting. Trix gets carried away easily, sometimes to the point of badly injuring people in training and Capture the Flag. Because of this, some may see her as aggressive, competitive, or even sadistic. While the first two are fair observations, the latter is a bit extreme. She enjoys using her phobikenesis to get the upper hand over her peers, and is greatly energised by the fear response it brings about. At her best, she can be very charismatic, charming, and playful. She has a dark sense of humor, a sharp, sarcastic tongue, and enjoys teasing her peers. If you can get close to her, you'll be rewarded with some of the most fierce loyalty you'll ever come across. Trix's bravery makes her an excellent person to have on your side; she wouldn't hesitate before laying her life down for a true friend. Trix, like any Phobos kid worth their salt, has perfected the art of scaring people and always gets a kick out of it. She disregards any and all societal rules, making her something of an anarchist. She is a fierce feminist who can and will beat you up if she catches you being misogynistic. She makes no attempt to hide her irritation and refuses to sugar-coat her words. If she hates you, you'll definitely know. Beatrix has a general distaste for the boys around Camp and is impatient when it comes to suffering fools. About Me Birthdate: December 14th, 2005 Likes: Morbid stuff, horror movies, flirting, making people scared, using her phobikinesis, combat Dislikes: The camp shirts (orange clashes with her hair), buzzkills, authority, boys, societal expectations Family: Mom: Elizabeth, 38 (whereabouts unknown) Dad: Phobos Siblings: N/A Other: Grandma Cynthia, 65 (deceased) Happy Thoughts: Horror movies, other people's fear, collecting animal skulls, getting pretty girls flustered, autumn weather, candles. Nightmares: Being alone forever. You would never know it, but she worries she is an inherently broken, unlikable person. Fatal Flaw: Her audaciousness (in every sense of the word). She tends not to recognise her own limitations and disrespects authority to a dangerous degree. PLAYED BY: CICADA FACE CLAIM: Katharine Isabelle
  3. Damien Dawn biography Damien Dawn entered the world in a blaze of brilliance. His mother, Miranda Dawn, was a small-town theater actress with a voice like honey and a passion for the stage. She never thought she'd meet someone who could captivate an audience like she could, until she met Damien's father, Apollo, though at the time, she knew him as "Alan." "Alan" was a traveling musician who happened to be performing in her sleepy little town. Miranda was smitten from the first moment he strummed his guitar and sang a song about the sun kissing the horizon. For her, it was like listening to the Muses themselves. They spent several magical nights together, their shared love for music and storytelling painting a beautiful, fleeting canvas of romance. Then, as quickly as he appeared, "Alan" disappeared, leaving Miranda with a heart full of love songs and a child in her womb. Miranda raised Damien with the love of a single mother, always fostering his creative and artistic pursuits. As it turns out, Damien inherited his father’s godly gifts—especially in archery and music. He grew up in the limelight of his small community, a local star who could do no wrong. He was the archery champion, the best guitarist in the school band, and yes, the handsomest boy in his grade. But along with these talents came an insufferable level of confidence bordering on arrogance. As Damien often said, "Why be modest when you're this magnificent?" Life took a radical turn when Damien was in middle school. During gym class, the strangest thing happened; a new student, who had been quiet and unassuming, suddenly transformed into a vicious creature—a harpy. Panicked screams filled the gym, but Damien, inexplicably, felt an instinct kick in. His gym teacher, Mr. Greenthumb, tossed him a celestial bronze sword that appeared out of nowhere. Damien, trusting his gut and his skills in archery, threw the sword like a javelin, hitting the harpy dead center. The creature disintegrated into dust. As the gym class recovered from the chaos, Mr. Greenthumb revealed himself to be a satyr and explained the world of gods and monsters to Damien and his mom. Miranda, was shocked but accepting. Realizing that her “Alan” was, in fact, Apollo, the god of music, prophecy, and archery, everything suddenly made sense. Damien was a demigod, and he was in danger as long as he stayed away from Camp Half-Blood. At Camp Half-Blood, Damien was claimed almost immediately by Apollo, and he felt right at home among his half-siblings in the Apollo cabin. His skills in archery and music quickly made him a camp favorite, but his arrogance also earned him some enemies. He saw the camp as yet another stage for him to shine, and shine he did—but often at the expense of teamwork and friendship. Damien became the guy everyone loved to hate: talented but unbearable, heroic but egotistical. Now a regular at camp, Damien is continually working on his “masterpiece," a song that he believes will be his legacy, something so extraordinary that even the gods on Olympus will take notice. But beneath the layers of vanity and arrogance, there's a part of him that wonders if there’s more to his identity than just being Apollo’s talented son. Damien Dawn, the son of Apollo, continues to navigate life at Camp Half-Blood, leaving a trail of admiration and annoyance in equal measure. But behind the spotlight of his own making, he's still a boy trying to outshine his father, the god of the Sun, and find his own place in a world much bigger than he ever imagined. Personality Damien Dawn is a kaleidoscope of charm, talent, and staggering self-confidence, a magnet for both awe and frustration among his peers. To him, life is a grand stage where he plays the lead, driven by a relentless ambition to outshine even Apollo, his divine father. While his skills in archery and music are undeniably extraordinary, they are often eclipsed by his insufferable arrogance. Damien is fiercely competitive, viewing every challenge as a stage for his brilliance; yet, this focus can render him oblivious to the emotional complexities of those around him. His friendships are few but deeply loyal, though betraying him is the quickest way to become the tragic hero in his next artistic endeavor. Underneath the bravado is a young demigod grappling with the shadow of a legendary parent. Damien wonders if he will ever be more than Apollo's son, more than just an epitome of egocentric excellence. This existential questioning fuels his compulsive drive to perfect every note, every shot, every performance—a drive that masks an underlying insecurity about his place in a world of gods and heroes. Though many at Camp Half-Blood may find him unbearable at times, there's a complexity to Damien that hints at future growth, if only he can learn to step out of his own spotlight. About Me Birthdate: June 15, 2006 Likes:Archery, Music, Performance, Attention, Admiration, Competition, Physical Fitness, Victory, Dramatic Flair, Self-Expression Dislikes:Being Upstaged, Inadequacy, Emotional Complexity, Humility, Being Ignored, Authority Figures, Mediocrity, Bookish Learning, Subtlety, Dependence on Others, Snakes Family: Mom: Miranda Dawn 36 Dad: Apollo Siblings: None Happy Thoughts: Nailing a performance or a shot that no one else could / The flood of applause and admiration that comes with being the center of attention / Moments when he's so clearly outperformed someone that it's undeniable, even to them Nightmares: Fading into obscurity, becoming a 'nobody' / Realizing that he might never live up to Apollo's legacy, becoming just another demigod lost in the pages of mythology / Being entirely dependent on others, losing his sense of self and individual greatness Fatal Flaw: Damien's fatal flaw is his excessive pride and overconfidence. This sense of superiority often blinds him to the needs and feelings of others, as well as to his own vulnerabilities. His ego can lead him to underestimate his opponents and overestimate his own abilities, putting him at significant risk. PLAYED BY: FullMoonRising FACE CLAIM: Luke Eisner
  4. Cora Laine biography Cora was born at midnight on December 1st, sadly her mother didn't survive the birth. Cora was taken home to be raised by her grandparents Mr. and Mrs. Laine. Her grandparents hated her, they blamed her for their only child's death, and she resembled her mother, which only made it worse. As she grew up, her grandparents shunned her and told her, that it was her fault her mother was dead. By the time Cora was 6, her grandparents made her move to the basement, they would lock her down there, thinking that she hated it, but really, she loved it being in the dark with little light and able to do pretty much whatever she wanted, she was quite content on her own. She didn't know why they did it, but she never cared to ask. Going through school she noticed that kids seemed scared of her, which kind of bothered her at first. At first, she wanted friends but the harder she tried the worst the hurt was when kids would run off screaming. Cora gave in and started to embrace her appearance, acting as scary as kids thought she was. She had no idea that she was projecting their fears at them. When Cora got into 6th grade she meets a boy name Avery, who seemed to be a bit scared of her, but he pressed through to her and became her best friend. She still walked around like she was some badass scary person, even though deep down she just wanted to be liked. Even her grandparents were scared of her, they hardly even talked to her at this point. When she was 12 and half some type of shadow monster attacked her while she was out walking around her neighborhood at dusk, it was her favorite time of the day. She tried to run from it but it was faster, so she tried to fight with it, but she was losing. Just as she went flying a crossed the street, she seen something come running up and attack the monster. Standing to her feet, she noticed it was her friend Avery, but something was different about him. Avery was able to get the monster to leave for now. When he came over to Cora her eyes were wide, she couldn't believe what she was seeing "What are you?!" she exclaimed. Avery her hand and with a smile he said he was a Satyr and she needed to get to camp half blood. Cora wasn't sure if she should believe him or not, but the thought of leaving her grandparents' house and starting over somewhere that was supposed to have others like her, it made her excited. Following him back to her grandparents house, she was slightly worried what they might think. But when Avery said she needed to leave here, Mr. and Mrs. Laine barely gave him time to explain, interrupting to say "good redans" After a long few days of traveling with Avery they arrived at the camp. Cora was soon claimed by her father Phobos, and learned that she had a younger half brother who lived at camp. She stayed at camp, she did not want to go back to her home for school or anything. She was finally happy. Spending her days mostly with her brother, and walking the woods at dusk. Personality Cora still likes to think of herself as a badass, but since coming to the camp, she learned about her power and realized that she could control it. This realization made her extremely happy, she started to make all kinds of friends throughout the camp. She isn't one to shy away from virtually anything. She loves to be surrounded by people. She does have a dark side, if you pick on her or someone she cares about, she is not afraid to use her power on said person. Cora's favorite place to be is out by the lake at night. During the day she is either with her friends or with her brother. She can be one of the sweetest persons you ever meet, or one of the scariest persons you ever meet. You choose your desired experience with her. About Me Birthdate: December 1st 2003 Likes: Dark colors, The night, making friends, Halloween, Hunted Houses, Fall Dislikes: Bright colors, summer, winter, school, reading Family: Mom: Dead Dad: Phobos Siblings: Half brother from father Other: Mr. and Mrs. Laine, Grandparents Happy Thoughts: Being at camp away from her grandparents Nightmares: Being sent back to live with her grandparents Fatal Flaw: Lack of Self control PLAYED BY: J.C. 5. Everly Maisley biography Everly grew up on an air force base located in Moron De La Frontera in Spain. For the majority of her life, she never suspected she was much different than the majority of the other kids on the base. She had two loving parents: a mother of high ranking in the air force and a loving stay at home father. Natalie Maisley seemed to have been married to her job and the Airforce than her husband. She did not spend a lot of time in the house but when she was present, it was made obvious that Everly was the favorite of her two children. Unknown to everyone but Natalie until Everly’s twelfth birthday, was that the youngest daughter of the Maisley family was a product of an affair. Natalie had met the god of war after she was first promoted to Major. That night, Natalie felt as if she had finally found a man that understood her dedication of the military. Shortly after she had found herself pregnant with no trace of the man that had seen her for who she truly was. In order to keep peace with her husband and their son, she told Allan that they were expecting their second child together. However due to her recent promotion, they would have to keep the pregnancy a secret for as long as possible. When Everly was born, Natalie could tell immediately that her daughter was special in the way her son was not. She claimed that Everly had a fire behind her eyes that she has only ever seen in the best soldiers the military could offer. Even as a kid, Everly seemed prone to getting into altercations with other fellow children at the base. She was easy to anger, and her temper seemed untamable. If anything did not go her way, she would react in violent outbursts. After she had ripped out a chunk of another girl’s hair, her mother and father were called into the principal’s office to discuss her behavior and attempt to control what appeared too almost be uncontrollable. In the hopes of being able to channel Everly’s ever growing strength and rage, Natalie enrolled her in kickboxing from the age of 5. By the time she was 10, she was a regional champion. Her strength was praised by trainers, as they had never seen a little girl progress at that level. This seemed to help turn Everly’s anger into something productive. Although her physical abilities seemed to have proved her mother right, her academic abilities seemed to fall short. She was never the most brilliant student, averaging at a C at best in most of her subjects. However military history was the one niche academic topic she excelled at. By the time she was in middle school, Everly seemed to have grown a keen interest in the workings of ammunitions as well as their development. Against the clear instructions of her teachers, Everly had submitted her own explosive device to her school’s science fair. When she was instructed to leave the premises with her device, Everly lashed out at the teachers and accidently set the bomb off at her school. Fortunately, it was not a too large of an explosion and no one was seriously injured in the incident. However, she was immediately expelled. Fortunately, her mother and father did not need long to figure out what to do with their juvenile daughter. A week after her expulsion, a strange man had appeared at their home claiming that Everly was an offspring of a Greek god. The claims were first met with a fit of laughter and both her father claimed that was impossible. Everly’s mother had a growing pit of guilt, an affair she had tried hard to suppress for the sake of her family could no longer be forgotten. She quickly confessed to her infidelity and the possibility that Everly was the child of an affair. The revelation that Everly was not in fact the daughter of Allan, the man that had raised her, lead to an emotional breakdown of the family. Whilst her parents bickered inside the house, the man led Everly outside of the house. Here is when he explained that he was a satyr, a protector sent to take her to a safe place for kids like herself. Full of anger and resentment towards her mother for what she had just confessed to, Everly suggested that leave immediately. Although the Satyr had insisted on staying and trying to work things out with her mortal parents, Everly had already stormed off. He had no other option than to follow and lead her to camp without further consultation with her parents. To this day, Everly had stayed at camp, and never looked back at her life before. Her parents had tried to reach out on multiple occasions however to no response from Everly. Since arriving at camp, Everly had finally felt as if she had found a place where she was not condemned for her strength or anger. Instead, she had been taught how to channel it properly with the help of her Ares half siblings. She was praised for her abilities instead of being mocked for not being like the other girls in her cohort. She continued to practice kickboxing in her spare time and favored hand to hand combat over wielding a weapon although she excelled at the latter as well. Personality Everly is a very passionate person, if she likes something or someone, she is very devout to this thing or person. She constantly pushes her own boundaries to achieve what she wants to achieve and become the best in her chosen field. The same can go for her friends and those she considers family. However, if her trust is ever betrayed, the table is quick to turn. She is not of the forgiving type and often gets consumed in her own anger. Blinding her from the notion that the world is not in black and white as she often perceives things. This plays into her stubbornness, while she values the opinion of those around her. Once she is convinced of something, it is hard to get her to change her opinion. Often her ideas can lead to unfortunate events such as the explosion at her school. It is however not usually until afterwards does she realize that she may have not been in the right. All in all, she is a loud person with a strong personality that is often dominated by what others might deem her more negative traits. This leading her to be a hard person to get along with at times. About Me Birthdate: 04/15/2006 Likes: The history and development of ammunition, traveling the world and seeing new things, Battleship (the boardgame), kickboxing, spanish tapas, virgin mary (drink), a good challange Dislikes: When people tell her to control her temper, when someone talks up a big game but can't back their words, the color yellow, country music, displays of weakness, giving up, betrayel Family: Mom: Col. Natalie Maisley (49) Dad: Ares, Allan Maisley (52, step-father) Siblings: Cooper Maisley (23, Half-brother), Aries half siblings Other: N/A Happy Thoughts: Causing explosions, leading troops into battle Nightmares: Becoming a stay at home mom Fatal Flaw: Holding grudges PLAYED BY: Vee FACE CLAIM: Phoebe Bridgers
  6. Alexia Bluesea biography Her mother Mary was a marine researcher in California, who enjoyed diving to watch underwater life and research animals, had a small house near the beach and lived healthily, enjoying nature. One day she went out on a boat with some friends, the sky was clear and the sea calm, they started drinking and having fun, not realizing that the sky was changing, until they were trapped in the storm, their boat started capsizing because of the strong winds and Mary began to cry, believing that this was the end of her, as she was about to drown, the boat now sunken. But just before closing her eyes and passing out she saw a figure coming towards her, almost a spirit descended from the sky. When she woke up she was back on the beach and the figure she had seen earlier turned out to be a very kind man who helped with her wounds and saved her life. That man, unbeknownst to Mary, was Triton. The two continued to see each other and became lovers until, about 9 months later, they had a daughter, Alexia. Shortly after Alexia was born, however, the man walked away, leaving Mary alone and in despair, she did not become depressed only thanks to the loving presence of her daughter, she raised her to become a kind and helpful person with everyone. She hadn't a easy time at school, words joked with her every time, she had dyslexia. Alexia's true love was the ocean, she was always near the water and played there for hours, she felt at home and never left the beach even if the sea was stormy, indeed, if she felt even more attracted by it, when the winds were strong, she needed her mother to take her home. When Alexia was older her mom remarried, she wasn't happy about it at first, she ran away from home and fled to the coast, here she met a thin boy, he looked like a homeless man, and she helped him. She and that boy immediately became friends, his name was David, he was the one who convinced her to go home and accept her new family situation. Slowly Alexia warmed up with her mother's husband who treated her as if she were his daughter, after a few months of her life, a little sister was born, Lily, whom she loves so much. Years went by and one day a strange episode happened, she felt observed every time she went somewhere and at school she could feel the teachers watching her with a much higher interest than usual. She told David about it and he blanched, became worried about her, when, the next day, Alexia showed him her suspicions at school of her he made a frantic face and asked if he could talk to her mother about her. The girl agreed and took David to her home, there she learned from her friend that she was a demigod, her father was a god and that the right place for her was the half-blood camp. David, who was in fact not a normal boy but a satyr, explained that the teachers who were so mean with Alexia, watching she as she was a meal, were in fact monsters, Camp Half Blood was a refuge from monsters like them, who would have attacked her soon. Mary seemed to understand his explanation and agreed to take her and David up to the camp, with the promise, however, that she would come back to see them when she could. Alexia struggled to accept the new order of things, understanding the true identity of her father, who had abandoned her as a child. When she arrived at the camp, she struggled the first months, all so new for her... she arrived at 12 and a few days after her arrival she got claimed, her dad was Triton. She worked to accept her new identity but, she managed to make a lot friends thanks to her warming personality very fast. Those friends where the ones that truly helped her to adapt there. Now, if she's not in the beach watching the waves come and go you can surely find her in the volleyball camp, trying to find some mates for a match. Personality Alexia grew up in a kind and peaceful environment and this has poured into her character, she is always very polite with everyone, she likes to listen to and understand points of view, she loves talking to people, about anything and sometimes she can even be defined meddling because of his great curiosity. Despite her normal kindness, however, she is a girl who takes everything too much to heart and experiences strong emotions, even negative ones, she does not easily accept changes and strongly opposes anyone who wants to take away her freedom and decision-making ability, she describes her feelings like tropical storms, unpredictable. She attaches to people quickly and is deeply influenced by them. She does not forget a wrong and usually takes revenge for it. Plot Outline: Emberlynn receives a vague prophecy telling her to hunt down a monster in the "state of a score, ten, and eight". Emberlynn is unconfident and tries to reject the quest, but is ultimately convinced that she needs to go The party is formed and figures out that “state of a score, ten, and eight” is Indiana The group takes a train towards Indiana and gathers information pointing toward the high school The party investigates and identifies Emily Greenberg as the monster The Half-Bloods confront Emily. Emberlynn fails to act at a crucial moment and another team member is injured. Emily pins the chaos on the group and gets them banned from the campus. Emberlynn sneaks away to confront the monster on her own. Emberlynn fails miserably, is knocked unconscious, and is nearly killed. She accidentally discovers that the monster’s weakness is being insulted. Teammates nurse Emberlynn back to health and are furious with her for going off on her own. Hearing her story, a companion puts together that the monster must be an Empousa. The group comes up with a plan to kill her - this time together. The team has a final confrontation in which Emberlynn uses her telltale quips to weaken and confuse the monster while the others come in to deliver the killing blow. The campers return and celebrate victory. Emberlynn realizes how important it is to believe in both herself and her friends. Plot Locations: Camp Half-Blood Train to Indiana (Maybe local library for researching info) Suburban High School Empousa’s lair - clearing in nearby woods Return to Camp Half-Blood Full Plot: Emberlynn has been at Camp Half-Blood for about a year now, and is finally starting to get used to things. She spends most of her days in relative peace - working on crafts, developing her powers, and deepening her relationships with her newfound friends and family. But the more she learns about the world of demigods, the more alienated she begins to feel. Much as she yearns to be, Emberlynn doesn't feel like a hero. Her combat skills leave much to be desired, and for all her creative pursuits, she's unable to determine a true talent she can boast of. She longs to find a purpose here, to help these people who have given her a home, but her self-esteem issues make it hard to see herself as anything but useless. So it comes as an absolute shock when she receives a prophecy from the oracle. She is tasked with tracking down and slaying a monster in the "state of a score, ten, and eight". At first she claims it must be some sort of mistake, that the quest must be meant for one of her older sisters or one of the more "hero-like" campers. But when it is made clear that the prophecy is indeed for her, she begrudgingly accepts and finds a few other campers to join her. The group figures out that the vaguely-described monster must be in Indiana - the 38th state - and set out to begin their adventure. As the group travels closer, they find information that points them to a particular high school in the suburbs. They enter the school posing as transfer students from another district there on a visit. It soon becomes apparent that something is off with the "popular clique", and in particular with the captain of the softball team- the almost supernaturally popular Emily Greenberg. Having identified their monster, the team formulates a plan of attack. They confront the creature, and things seem to be going well until it comes down to Emberlynn needing to make a split-second decision. Unsure of her answer and lacking confidence in her skills, she freezes. Another member of the team is wounded. Emily takes the opportunity to use her charmspeak on the principal, getting the Half-Bloods banned from campus and pinning the chaos on them. Emberlynn feels beyond guilty over her wounded friend, fully blaming herself for their failure. While the others plan and regroup, she secretly decides to try and take out the monster by herself. At least that way, she figures, nobody else can get hurt. She tails Emily and her clique back to their lair, but gets discovered and surrounded. Normally Ember is all quips during a fight, but in her determination to "do it right" and "act like a real hero", she keeps silent and focuses on the fight - a fight in which she is severely outnumbered. She fails miserably, getting beaten to within an inch of passing out. Just as the monster is about to feast on its prey, she lets out a feeble insult... and the creature shrieks and flees from the room. One of her companions tracks her down just in time and drags the unconscious Emberlynn back to safety. Her teammates are understandably furious with her, but her story of what occurred strikes a chord with one of them. They've heard of a monster who screams and flees at the sound of insults - an Empousa. This time they know what they're up against, and they're going up against it as a team. They manage to isolate the ringleader and Ember uses what she now realizes is her special talent after all - her words. She hurls the best insults she can think of, and as the monster reels back, the others close in and turn it to dust. The group returns victorious. After everything that's happened, Ember has not only learned that it's alright to rely on those around her but is a bit more comfortable relying on herself too. Does this impact more than just my character and those I'm writing with directly? No, only quest participants and (minimally) residents/students in the small suburban town. Would this make major headlines or otherwise ensue panic or happiness on a massive scale? No, the reality of most of the chaotic events is obscured by the Mist, and nothing large enough to make any major headlines will occur. At most the school newsletter might mention something vaguely related.
  8. Jet Castello biography Jet was born to Alley and Eurus nine months after their one-night fling during a party in California. Growing up Jet was always pulled to the wind, like his mother who was a professional windsurfer. He learned how to wind surf from a young age as his mother had ended up teaching him how to. When Jet was around three years old, Alley had ended up finding a new boyfriend and marrying him a couple months later. The man had a positive outlook for Jet and was also a wind surfer and helped teach him tricks and gave him tips on what to do when in the air. The years before going to school were filled with him learning everything about windsurfing from his mom and stepdad. He traveled the states with them taking flight through different places and loving it. When it was time for him to return home to go to school, he found himself having a little bit of difficulty with reading and all together paying attention as he would have much rather been outside in the open air playing around. By the time that he was twelve years old he was in middle school and had made one great friend by the name of Dylan out of the whole year. He was very quiet and laid back to some points but once angered his temper blew like a violent wind. Dylan and Jet were often seen together and getting into trouble, or rather trying to stay out of trouble. They were on their way home from school one day when a monster had ended up finding them and Dylan had ended up having to fight for them. Jet just stood there in awe and partly scared for his life because he had no idea what was happening at the moment. Dylan explained on the way what was going on and that he needed to be somewhere safe, along with telling him that he was a satyr. Soon they were at Jet's house talking to his parents about what was going on. His mother had an understanding look on her face, however his stepfather didn't want to believe for one second that his son was the son of a god. Alley had ended up taking his husband upstairs and talking to him for a couple minutes before coming back down with a bag for the boys to fill with everything that Jet was going to need for the trip and camp. She gave him a kiss on the cheek and sent them off after they were done with everything. It took a week to get from California to New York and by the time that the boys got to the camp they were already worn out. Dylan got him to the big house where all of his questions were answered as he asked them. He was shown around the camp which was interesting. He found himself a little confused with the set up. By the time night rolled around, people were getting ready for the bonfire that was getting ready to happen. Jet, just like the other unclaimed campers, sat near the group and waited for their parents to claim them. Jet was lucky enough to be claimed by his father Eurus that night since he was only twelve still. The next three years, he went to school but with all the monster attacks he had decided to come back to camp where he was able to practice windsurfing when he wasn’t in class with his cabin mates. He had a couple of close friends that he would normally hang out with here and there but other than that, he found himself enjoying sitting on rocks above the waters, feeling the breeze. Personality Jet has a thirst for exploration. Wanting to travel the world, and windsurfing all the places that he can. He feels at ease when he is in the open air. Rather, he wishes that he could windsurf all the time. He is very patience when it comes to most things. As he understands that not everyone is going to understand things right off the bat. He is willing to help them understand. He also has a stormy attitude. His emotions are strongly influenced by what the wind is doing that day. Which at camp can normally be cool and chill. He has a love of nature, and mainly for the open air. Loving the fact that he could be in it all the time due to him windsurfing. It makes him feel at peace. He is also very brave for being able to be in the air like he is. 9. Winnie Sullivan biography Born and raised in rural Montana, Winnie was always a whimsical girl. She spent most of her young life traipsing the fields and picking wildflowers to bring home to her mother Dorothy. Dorothy was a hugely successful poet before Winnie was born, travelling the world to find inspiration and market her books. She took many lovers on the road, but the most alluring was a young man she met in her late 20s. He was handsome, mysterious, and seemed to glow; he was enchanted by her way with words and the two spent a passionate night together. A few weeks later, Dorothy took a pregnancy test and decided it was best to return home to have her baby. On her way back to her rural property, she was in a crash; she was unharmed, but the damage to the family in the other vehicle was considerable. It was ruled a mistake and neither party pressed charges. That being said, Dorothy, who had a long history of mental illness, became very paranoid and swore to protect her baby from the world. Winnie was homeschooled for as long as she could remember. Her mum insisted on living in as remote a place as possible; Winnie was never sure why, but her many questions always went ignored. She had little contact with the world, but she adored her mother and her grandparents, who visited frequently. One day, Winnie’s mother received a devastating call: her beloved parents had passed away. With nobody to manage their property and business, Dorothy reluctantly packed up her daughter and they moved to New York. Once settled, Winnie turned 11. She began to have strange, vivid dreams almost nightly. In some, she saw horrible creatures prowling around the streets of her town, their awful noses to the ground as though smelling, hunting. In others, she saw the wind skimming over beautiful strawberry fields on a sunny day. With her new inheritance, Dorothy hired a private tutor, Calix, to school Winnie from their townhouse. He was a strange man, but he understood Winnie’s unique way of thinking and the two became very close. Winnie confided to him about her disturbing dreams. Calix always listened patiently to her stories, nodding solemnly. Not long after her birthday, Winnie was drawing on the pavement outside her house with chalk. It was a peaceful day, but she had the distinct sense that something was terribly wrong. Disturbed by this, she fled inside; as soon as she shut the door behind her, an awful creature emerged from the street and began to bang its head against the house. She recognised it as a minotaur, thanks to Calix’s extensive Greek myth tutelage. Winnie called Dorothy in to help, but Dorothy was paralysed with fear, unable to comprehend what she was seeing. The minotaur broke down the door and cornered Winnie, nearly piercing her on its horn, only to crumble suddenly into a pile of ashes. Behind the pile stood Calix with a fireplace poker. He then explained to Winnie and her mum who he was: a satyr, guide for demigods. He told them of a place called Camp Half-Blood, a summer camp that provided education and protection to demigods, and assured Winnie that the dreams she had were not signs of craziness, as she had feared, but instead very real. Dorothy didn’t believe him at first. He had to show his goat legs to prove he was telling the truth. She was still unwilling to send Winnie away, but Calix persisted and described the dangers of a demigod living in normal society, as well as the magical barriers in place around the camp. He had to swear Winnie would be safer there (and constantly in touch) before Dorothy let him take her to the camp, insisting on joining them the whole way. Once safely delivered at camp, Winnie was claimed by Apollo in her first week. She adored camp, especially the scent of the strawberry fields on hot days; her and the satyrs became close as she got involved with the camp’s cover business, Delphi Strawberry Service. She packs the strawberries ready for sale at local markets and Iris messages her mother every day. Personality Winnie, having grown up almost entirely in her company, is a strange girl with a rich internal world. Eccentric yet serene, she has a way of observing truths that other people may not notice. Content in her solitude, Winnie can happily while hours away simply people-watching and talking to herself. She also enjoys repetitive movements such as clicking her fingers and swaying, finding them to be soothing. Winnie is neither insecure nor self-conscious, quite happy to be herself even when others don’t like it; optimistic and kind, she holds no grudges and doesn’t enjoy confrontation. She is an excellent archer but doesn’t enjoy training, being more of a lover than a fighter. Like her father, she adores art, music, and poetry. Being the daughter of the god of prophecy, she has frequent and vivid dreams that tend towards the prophetic. She enjoys the company of satyrs, appreciating nature and singing with them. When interacting with others, she is friendly and sweet but can come across as odd: extremely curious, it can seem like she asks intrusive questions. This could be interpreted as a disregard for social etiquette, though it’s never meant to offend. There’s nothing sinister about Winnie’s curiosity, she just finds everyone, and everything, deeply fascinating. 10. Amelia Celeste Martin biography Hailing from Longueuil, Quebec, Canada, Amelia's life was one of relative comfort. Her parents' steady incomes provided stability, further supported by the involvement of her stepdad's parents in her upbringing. It was her step-grandfather who played a pivotal role, helping her secure diagnoses for autism and ADHD at the ages of 3 and 5, respectively. As her academic journey began, he recognized the need for further assessment, leading to diagnoses of dyslexia, dyscalculia, dysgraphia, and a non-verbal learning disorder. In addition, her array of anxiety disorders (general, social, and specific phobias) was also identified. Amelia's diagnoses, while illuminating, failed to provide the support she truly needed. They inadvertently led to interference in her life. Her struggle to grasp social cues left her bewildered, often referring to it as "how to people." The inability to read nonverbal signals resulted in awkward and uncomfortable interactions. Paradoxically, her heightened sensitivity made her feel as if she absorbed others' emotions as her own, fostering a deep connection with her step-grandfather, who became her solace. Amid her busy parents and step-grandmother, she hesitated to confide, fearing to burden them further. New challenges arose when a fellow student joined her class in second grade. Amelia's anxiety escalated to an overwhelming extent, hindering her focus throughout the day. Recess beneath a familiar tree offered her temporary respite. Her step-grandfather, the only refuge she truly felt, discerned her distress, effortlessly understanding her hypersensitivity to the emotions of others. In contrast, her maternal grandparents, subscribing to outdated beliefs, remained distant due to their disbelief in mental disorders. Amelia's step-grandfather's unwavering support extended beyond emotional understanding. He introduced her to ballet and piano, nurturing her passions. An escape to the basement, where a soundproofed room housed an old grand piano, became her sanctuary when overwhelmed. School proved challenging, draining her energy with fidgeting, panic attacks, and struggles with assignments. Positioned at the front of the class, her desk overflowed with papers and textbooks, her pleas for assistance often falling on deaf ears. Academically, Amelia faced hurdles, excelling only in music and art. Gym class, rife with sensory triggers, left her overwhelmed. The pungent smells and cacophony of noise tested her senses. English class brought forth daunting essays and comprehension tasks, compounded by nerve-wracking oral presentations. Math class felt foreign, while even her proficiency in French couldn't ease her discomfort. Recesses were solitary moments, spent under a tree with her dolls as companions. Amid these challenges, the church emerged as a haven. An old cathedral provided solace, its pipe organ resonating welcoming melodies. Sabbath School offered her cherished moments, with music playing an integral role in her connection to the community. At home, the piano, the basement, and her room became realms of comfort, surrounded by an abundance of dolls, clothes, and stuffed animals. Amelia's half-siblings stood as her closest allies, forming the core of her friendships. At the age of 10, a bearded man named Steve entered her life, assuming a protective role and earning her trust. His constant presence brought assurance, his caring demeanor a source of comfort. Yet, an unexpected revelation would test the boundaries of their connection. One day, Steve, the bearded man, shared a startling truth with Amelia. He revealed that he was a satyr, a mythical creature from ancient Greek mythology. Confusion enveloped her as she grappled with this astonishing disclosure. Unsure how to process this new information, she distanced herself from Steve for a few days, the once-solid foundation of their relationship now shaken. However, Amelia's curiosity and quest for understanding led her to delve into books on mythology. As she absorbed the tales of gods, heroes, and fantastical beings, a gradual acceptance blossomed within her. The notion of Steve being a satyr began to align with her growing comprehension of the extraordinary. In time, Amelia reconnected with Steve, a newfound awareness underscoring their interactions. Their bond, once briefly strained, emerged stronger, fortified by her evolving perspective. Steve's presence became a bridge to a world beyond the ordinary, enriching Amelia's life with wonder and adventure. As their connection deepened, Steve guided Amelia towards a pivotal juncture. A poignant farewell to her mother and step-grandfather marked the beginning of a transformative journey. Steve, her steadfast companion, drove her to Camp Half-Blood, a sanctuary where her unique heritage and abilities could flourish. With bittersweet farewells behind her, Amelia embarked on a path of discovery, emboldened by her connection to the mythic realm and the unbreakable bond she shared with Steve. Personality Amelia is a loyal, caring friend but is disconnected in social situations. Despite her loyalty to her loved ones, she sometimes pulls away for days, ignoring all attempts at communication. Acquaintances of her would likely describe her as quiet, intelligent, serious, gentle, and a bit reclusive. Others generally perceive her as a pleasant person to be around, but notice that she can be moody, aloof, and even somewhat crabby on occasion. Intensely private. Despite their loving and sensitive natures, she has a tendency to close herself off from the world and doesn’t give people the chance to know her or see the wonderful qualities she possesses. Even in her relations with family and trusted friends, she can be enigmatic. When she is feeling frustrated or introspective, she will retreat from social contact without so much as a word of explanation, which can throw others for a loop. Conflict averse. She dislikes conflict intensely and will usually intervene to stop it, but this is one area where her perspective can get distorted. She fails to recognize that conflict can actually serve a useful purpose, allowing a good process of give-and-take to be established and giving all parties the opportunity to resolve their problem forever. She would be wise to acknowledge the value of open and honest dialogue, instead of automatically assuming that all squabbling is harmful. Sensitive. Once she has made up her mind, she tends to be very confident in her conclusions and does not have much tolerance for those who continue to dissent. When someone challenges their conclusions, she reacts very strongly and is especially vulnerable to criticism. About Me Birthdate: January 1st, 2010 Likes: spending time at her church, long winter walks, ballet, skating with her step granddad and half-siblings, watching the nutcracker, watching barbie movies, spending time with babies Dislikes: loud chewing, not following her routine, not doing something spontaneous, reminded of how old she is by her maternal grandparents, her things being moved around, doing oral presentations, eating new foods. When confronted with a decision, such as determining the timing of her oral presentation for English class, she becomes immobilized, her speech falters, and she eventually relies on her teacher to make the choice on her behalf. In her perception, the weight of selecting the right option becomes paralyzing, fueled by the fear of inadvertently causing harm to others. This fear of future regret and the notion of disappointing the world engulfs her mind. Consequently, she finds solace in procrastination, a coping mechanism that shields her from the stress of decision-making, allowing her to momentarily embrace comfort and security. Inescapably caught in a cycle, she grapples with a sense of impending doom regardless of her chosen course of action – a sentiment that prevails whether she takes a step forward or remains immobilized. 11. Leroy Bernard biography Leroy was born in the great city of New Orleans and raised by his father Remy.his father was not a rich man at all living with his grand-mother, Térésa Boutin, and Marius, Remy’s step father. Their neighbor Salomon Bergier would help when he could. He was a lot younger than Remy, maybe 17 or so when Leroy was born. Salomon was born with some birth defect or muscle disease. But he would watch Leroy if all the adults were working. Remy worked on a boat in the gulf and would dredge up all sorts of things. Nothing usually valuable but one time he dredged up 3 coins. 2 were obviously French francs from the 1600s and one that he had never seen before. Leroy was about 4 when his father gave him those coins which unknown to his father at the time would run his life and help him make some of the biggest decisions in his life. They lived out in the bayou and his early childhood was uneventful for the most part. His father was either working or gambling/cheating. Which is where Leroy probably got his fix. Playing poker with his family for candy or to get out of chores. His father would always refer to Leroy as his “porte-bonheura” because his winnings would drastically increase when Leroy was around. Leroy would go to public school He had alway struggled with school he spent more time trying to scam other students by playing red/black and would sometimes make enough money off his fellow students to buy his lunch and sometimes even dinner for the family. He, like a lot of his fellow students from the bayous, had thick cajun accents. He also had a hard time sitting for so long during the day. Very active, always exploring the swamps and the area around his house. He would play all the typical war games with his friends then go and try to scam some of the older kids in dice. He would continue this for most of his life. He would alway have his coins though and would use them to help him make some decisions. Like heads or tails on which kid to challenge or which path to take and for some reason it always worked out in his favor whenever he did that. All the way through his time till 2019 when his father was working out in the boat trying to make a living and a hurricane swept him out and his body washed ashore. Leroy's grandparents had been given the instructions that if Remy were to pass they were to “give THE letter to Salomon”. Leroy's grandma had since passed, but his step-grandfather Marius knew what that meant but refused to do so. Now it is 2022 and Salomon was not waiting any more. Marius was not necessarily the nicest man or most attentive Grandfather. Salomon on the day leroy turned 12 showed up. Marius did not let leroy have a party but was passed out on the couch after drinking himself into a coma. So Salomon would look at leroy as he Marius was taken away in an ambulance. Something was off about the scene and Salomon would shed his disguise and show to be a satyr and escorted him to the camp for his safety. Their travel was uneventful, and Leroy arrived at Camp Half-Blood within a few days of this tragedy. Personality Leroy is typically very polite. Raised by an old school Cajun grandmother, she would not accept any sort of disrespect or rudeness. He is a fairly normal looking kid. Nothing too special but he can seem overly nice. This niceness seems sincere but it is rarely sincere; he almost always has an ulterior motive. He can be quite reckless because he figures his lucky coin can get him out of most problems. Even though he is very outgoing and talkative he does not have very many friends. He is very slow to trust thinking people are out to get back what he won. Those that are considered friends are lucky because he is one of the most loyal and fun people to be with. 13. Alexander Dion biography Like so many demi-gods much of the woes of his life can be attributed to events before his life. His mother Aphrodite had met a young man one night at a bar who had been so stricken by her beauty that he had professed his love for her right on sight. Flattered by his attention they had spent a passionate week together and then she left, as the gods are likely to do and his father had been heartbroken to the point of madness. 9 months later he was contacted about the birth of his son but wanted no reminder of the beauty and love that had been taken from him. He drank himself to death shortly thereafter and Alex was put into the system. From the time that he was born to his arrival at Camp Half-Blood, Alexander "Alex" was a child within the foster care system looked after by a saytr Magnis (Mags) who posed as his social worker. While he had been in the foster care system, Magnis had been the one constant in his life life that Alex could count on. For the first few years of his life Alex stayed with a family who adored him but were not able to legally adopt him. Alex was a charming, playful and very imaginative child who made friends easily. For the most part the first eight years of Alex's life were stable. Around his eighth birthday, however, things started to take a turn as he began to gain the attention on monsters nearby. Mags, fearing for his safety, made the arrangements for him to be placed somewhere new to the dismay of both Alex and his foster family. Several times over the next few years Alex would try to run away to get back to his first foster family remembering that love that he had experienced and wishing to go back to the place where had felt seen and wanted. The next few years for Alex were rough. Alex found himself being shifted from home to home every few months without much cause. This would be harder when he could feel the love certain families had for him. He wanted a home, a place where felt loved and could love but every chance he got it seemed that it was torn away. The constant change affected Alex who despite his natural charm and sociable nature started to become distant and introverted. After all, as soon as he became attached to a family or friends he would be moved. He was also told that he could not communicate with anyone via phone or email which made it hard to have any long lasting connections. He also struggled with self esteem not understanding why he kept having to find new placement feeling like he might be the problem but not knowing how to fix it. Then one fateful night, as if his life couldn't get any worse, several harpies descended on the house where he had most recently been placed and in their pursuit killed both of his foster parents whom he was beginning to grow attached to. As they were dying he could feel how in their final moments they they felt only love as they called out to him to run. Later as they drove to Camp Half-Blood he would learn the truth from Mags; as Alex was aging he had attracted monsters and that while Mags had tried to deal with them, as it was his first assignment he struggled to keep up. After saving him Mags brought to Camp Half- Blood he was both angry and lost. Upon arrival he was claimed by Aphrodite but this only made his life more confusing. After all, if his mother was a goddess why couldn't she have done more to protect him from the trauma of the last several years, of that night that haunted his nightmares. Aphrodite had claimed him as her son but it did not mean he had really found his family or place. The first year at camp was particularly difficult. While he had been assured that camp half-blood was his permanent home for the next several years he had a hard time trusting others resulting in him being both charming and overly sweet and yet reclusive as a defense not truly trusting that he wouldn't be asked to leave but that somehow he could use his abilities to control the situation. Alex tried to run away from camp once, very unsuccessfully. Now that it has been a couple years Alex is 15 and beginning to settle and let people in. Personality Fellow campers would describe Alex as the sweet guy who is a bit of a loner. When he is around others he is charming, imaginative, and has a natural gift for creating meaningful and engaging conversation yet will often choose his own company if given the option despite people often inviting him. As a child oh Aphrodite he has the ability to see and understand connections with others which he mostly uses to navigate conversations however, when he feels scared or hurt he sometimes abuses this power to get what he wants. 14. Elliot Payne Biography Elliot Payne never belonged anywhere. His mother, goddess of strife and chaos, was both uninterested and unfit to raise a child for obvious reasons.. His criminal father was no better. Having a child kid was little more than a whim for them, and young Elliot was discarded at their earliest convenience. The baby ended up at the ironically named Caring Hands Orphanage. A place with many orphans and little to no caring hands. Horrible as it was, this was perhaps the luckiest thing to ever happen to the boy. The entire complex reeked of the worst of human filth. The director, a large and unseemly man by the name of Alistair Rockwood, was a shameless con man. He provided the kids with barely enough to survive, only parading them out when seeking charity and donations.. Between his human stench and the depravity of the place in general, young Elliot's life was relatively monster-free. That wasn't to say that his life was free of conflict. Far from it. Strife and chaos seemed to follow him wherever he went. He wasn't prone to getting into fights himself, but a suspicious number of brawls among the other kids would end in "but... but Elliot said...". Mr. Rockwood saw him as a troublemaker - which wasn't always too far from the truth - and punished the boy frequently, that only landed the man a spot as target #1 for Elliot's pranks. Every time he would storm and rage at the child, it would only be met with laughter. It was almost as though his stress was funny to the boy. But it wasn't until middle school that he truely came into his own as a malicious prankster. Elliot loved middle school. Here he was surrounded by emotional preteens for whom every crush or broken friendship was a matter of world-ending importance. A rumor here, an anonymous note there... it was a veritable breeding ground for drama. His grades weren't the best between the ADHD and the dyslexia, and he struggled to make any real friends. But he was comfortable sitting back and watching the swirling storm of melodrama around him. Unfortunately, being away from the rotten humanity at the orphanage exposed him to more than middle school bullies. Elliot began noticing breaks in the mist, and things beyond it started to notice him. His school's assigned satyr noticed him too, and brought him safely to Camp Half-Blood. He even managed to convince Mr. Rockwood to let him attend under the guise that perhaps some time away at camp would help him grow into a more respectable and obedient child. There he stayed for exactly one summer: the summer of his claiming. He had to admit, he had been a bit hopeful when he was first brought there. Finally a few things had begun to make sense, things like his difficulties with learning and his struggle to fit in with other preteens. Prior to the bonfire, he had wondered if perhaps he'd find a group of people like himself here. He could learn some new skills, discover more about himself and his birth, maybe even make some new friends... but those hopes were dashed when the claiming symbol appeared over his head. Eris. Freaking Eris. Mother of chaos, despised by many gods and humans alike. There was no cabin for him here. No acceptance. Only whispers, glances, and more targeted insults than he'd ever experienced in regular school. Many campers seemed similar in temperament to their celestial parents, even forming rivalries with the children of their parents rivals. But many gods did not like Eris... and very few of the campers liked Elliot. Those that were willing to even give him a chance in the first place were quickly turned off by his irresistible urge to stir up conflict. So when the time came to register for full time residency, and then later to return for another summer, he decided he'd rather take his chances with monsters and middle schoolers. The orphanage, having seen that his summer away had not, in fact, changed his behavior, likely wouldn't have sent him back anyways. Of course, he wasn't a moron either. Back home quickly realized that the monsters steered clear of Mr. Rockwood and people like him. So he spent a lot of time hanging around with the worst sorts of people that society had to offer. Once he was old enough to be ejected from the orphanage, he spent most of his time migrating from place to place, training to defend himself when he had to. He learned to drive a motorcycle, and even joined a few gangs here and there. Unfortunately, those gangs always seemed to get involved in horrific gang wars shortly after he signed up. So why return to Camp HalfBlood? Elliot had always planned to ignore his heritage for as long as he could. To remain on the run from who he was, and any responsibility that came with it. But lately he's been having these odd dreams... something big is going down. Something poised to shake the worlds of both gods and men... something to do with that camp he went to all that time ago... something he's sure won't want to miss. Personality It's a dog-eat-dog world out there, and Elliot is more than content to sit back and watch the dogfight. He loves to stir up drama wherever he can, and seems to thrive the most when there is conflict going on around him. He maintains a rough style that sets many more conservative folks around him on edge as he very much enjoys the feeling of nonconformity. Despite his flashy looks, however, he has no particular desire for attention. Elliot is happy to keep himself anonymous while seeking out situations to amuse himself. He is eternally slacking off and shirking any responsibility placed upon him. He has little regard for his own well-being, and a deep self hatred that he has no plans or even real motivation to address. He knows he was never supposed to be born, that he was never wanted by the goddess of strife, and certainly not by any of the Olympians. So as far as he's concerned, there isn't much more to life than looking for cheap thrills and watching drama unfold around him. As such he has very little care for others around him either. He doesn't go out of his way to get people hurt - not physically anyway, and certainly not by his own hand, but if his pranks and manipulations have a negative effect on his fellow campers... well that's their problem, now isn't it? Elliot is actually quite an intelligent person and very good at reading social situations. However, he is awkward when brought into personal conversations. He comes off to most as the silent brooding type, so tends to be left alone. Which is perfectly fine by him. At least, that's how he chooses to see it. The man is jaded to the world around him, seeing both himself and everyone else as mere pawns in the games the Olympians are constantly playing. He tells himself that nothing matters, so he may as well amuse himself while he can. Though deep down he is haunted by a terrible fear. That people's lives really do have some deeper meaning... and that his is simply broken beyond redemption. As such, he is loathe to work with others, even when doing so might save his life. PLAYED BY: AdelynnWilde FACE CLAIM: Art by Josh Burns, edited by AdelynnWilde
  15. Tempest Truett biography Tempest Truett was born of a union steeped in heartbreak, vengeance, and retribution. Her father, Charles Truett, was a renowned world chess champion, a young man of charm, elegance, and an earnest believer in old-school values. He was also rather vain. His belief in finding his one true love someday did not go unnoticed and attracted none other than Aphrodite, the goddess of love herself though he did not know her true nature at the time. She swept him off his feet with promises of eternal love. Charles had been wanting to save himself for his eventual true love and now believing he'd found her spent several intimate nights with the goddess. However, after a couple months she soon grew bored with him and departed without a word, leaving Charles distraught, disillusioned, and heartbroken. In his pain and frustration, Charles cast aside his former beliefs. He lashed out, succumbing to a bitter cynicism about love and attraction. His anger and desire for revenge attracted another divine entity, Nemesis, the goddess of retribution. Abandoning all caution, Charles was quickly seduced, which led to the birth of their child, Tempest. She was delivered to his doorstep with a letter. Believing that Charles was a bit too full of himself, Nemesis let slip in the letter an important detail, revealing that Aphrodite was the woman who had so callously broken his heart. Learning the identities of both goddesses shocked him deeply as he had assumed both to be mere humans, but instead of offering solace, this revelation only further embittered the vain man, a bitterness he unknowingly passed on to his daughter. Tempest, thus, was born under a shadow of pain and resentment. As she grew up, she became withdrawn and kept people at arm's length. She inherited the calculated mind of her chess-champion father, a skill she frequently used to stir up trouble. She had also developed a desire for causing chaos and a cruel streak, which she often employed against those who embodied what her father had grown to despise - overly romantic girls and anyone who held naive beliefs in true love. Middle school brought an unusual acquaintance into Tempest's life: Glub, a seemingly peculiar boy who spouted bizarre tales of monsters. He was persistent, always hovering in her peripheral, yet she found him to be mostly harmless, if not very odd and crazy. As she navigated through school, she struggled academically due to her dxylexia and ADHD, but found a way to leverage her strategic thinking to play elaborate pranks and create drama. One fateful day when she was just 12, Glub's wild tales turned out to be real when a new girl who had been harassing Tempest transformed into a monstrous harpy. With no means to defend herself, Tempest was saved in the nick of time by Glub, who, as it turned out, knew much more about her lineage than she did. In the aftermath, Glub revealed to her and her father his true nature as a satyr and the existence of a place called Camp Half-Blood. Upon her arrival at camp, she was immediately claimed by her mother, Nemesis. Confronted by her father, he unveiled the truth about her parentage and his own bitter past with Aphrodite and Nemesis. The truth about her divine lineage only fanned the flames of her inherent nature. Tempest became even more entrenched in her ways, her taste for drama and her proclivity for manipulative relationships amplified. Her upbringing in a household scorned by love led Tempest down a path of vindictive pleasure. She sought out both boys and girls alike, using intimacy as a tool to wreak havoc, particularly among those in serious relationships. Tempest reasoned, if her father and she were denied the comfort of true love, then why should anyone else have it? Tempest Truett, daughter of Nemesis, continues to navigate her life at Camp Half-Blood, leaving a trail of chaos in her wake. But beneath her sharp exterior and thirst for vengeance, she is still a girl trying to understand her place in. Personality Tempest Truett is an enigma wrapped in a storm of chaos and drama. She exudes an undeniable allure, her magnetic charisma tainted by a vindictive edge that keeps many at bay. She embraces her bisexuality with the same fervor she uses to disrupt the peaceful ebb and flow of the camp. Tempest treats intimacy as a weapon, a tool to stir up chaos and disrupt the balance of relationships, whether those involved are boys or girls. The thrill she gets from shattering the peace, particularly in the face of those who believe in the concept of true love, is like a drug to her – addictive and deeply satisfying. Like her mother she is also not afraid to turn her attention to those she deems having acted unjustly, or for the service of those who have been treated unfairly. She is a fierce ally to those few she chooses to befriend...unless they ever betray her. Tempest's belief in her cause is unshakeable, rooted in the bitterness passed onto her from her father, with each dalliance further fuelling her dramatic streak. Tempest's personality is as turbulent as the storm she's named after, full of fierce determination, uncanny cunning, and an unquenchable thirst for chaos. However, this tumultuous persona masks a deep-seated yearning for understanding. She cloaks herself in indifference, hides her insecurities behind a facade of provocation and chaos. At her core, Tempest is a young woman trying to comprehend her place in the world and her divine parentage. But for now, she masks her insecurities with each flirtatious smirk, each manipulative ploy, and each dramatic scheme she conjures. As Tempest traverses the tangled path of her youth, one can only wonder if the turbulent storm within her will ever find calm. 16. Henrietta "Henry" Abbot biography Henry grew up with her washed-up author father, drifting from state to state, school to school… the classic demigod situation. It wasn’t an unpleasant childhood, aside from the frequent nightmares and monster sightings, but it left a little to be desired. While not abusive, Alistair was never a warm parent. Ever since her mysterious mother abandoned them both, Henry’s dad was depressed and uninspired, living off the salaries from his first nine crime novels. Henry learned from a young age that independence was important; her dad’s nose would always be parallel to a blank document on a computer screen. She reheated a lot of leftovers in her first eleven years or so. Henry was a good student, bright and precocious despite her ADHD and Dyslexia. She excelled mostly in debate and visual arts. While academically gifted, Henry proved to be socially disadvantaged: her outspokenness made her unpopular with her peers. Her teachers found her ambition challenging and her antagonistic personality jarring. She had few friends and spent most of her time alone. That was until Magnus -- a strange boy with a slight limp -- transferred to her new school in Ohio. He hovered around Henry, seemingly taking a deep interest in her which she was very flattered by. Stuck in Ohio at twelve years old, it unfolded all at once: a disaster, seemingly caused by her, at the school in which she was enrolled. In actuality, the damage was the result of a hellhound rampaging after her through the hallways. Discovered sheltering in the art department by Magnus, Henry was given the spiel. It was only when Magnus revealed his goat legs that she believed him. She tried to have a mild reaction, but in reality her emotions were mixed: disbelief, relief, concern, anger, and hurt all whirled through her brain. Despite having several run-ins with monsters throughout her younger years, Henry had never told anyone about it. Her father was emotionally unavailable, and she had no friends to share her visions with. The monsters made her paranoid and scared, worrying from a young age that she was crazy. Magnus whisked her back home while the school frenzied about the damage. There, he explained everything to Henry and her dad. Alistair almost seemed relieved, confiding that he could see through the mist; he admitted to suspecting Athena’s true identity and blaming his writer’s block on her abandonment. Henry then allowed the satyr to drag her across state lines all the way to Montauk, Long Island. Once there, a close call with a cyclops leaves her with a black eye for her first three weeks as a camper. At the end of that third week, she was claimed by Athena. It was only then that she began to feel a sense of belonging at Camp; her outspokenness embraced, her ambition rewarded, and her quick wit recognised. While she struggles to share a space with her siblings (and is famously messy), she feels at home with them. Secretly Henry holds some resentment for Athena, blaming the goddess for her father’s depression and emotional neglect. Henry’s three years at camp went by with relatively little upset. The odd monster attack, the reality of watching other campers leave on quests, the horror when they never return. But, hey! That’s just what demigod life is like. Personality From the outside, it may look like Henry is completely self-assured. She is outspoken, opinionated, and even occasionally antagonistic. She is known to use her quick wit in tandem with her sharp tongue to keep people at arm’s length. If you want banter, she’s your girl. If you want sincerity? You’ll have to prise it out of her cold dead hands. However, underneath that tough exterior Henry is an extremely emotional person with much more capacity for love than she’d like to admit. Criticism is taken entirely to heart, and often results in outbursts of anger (especially if she feels you’ve made a valid point). Henry tends to have her guard up, especially around new people. Having always been an outcast, that is where she’s most comfortable – making smart remarks from the outskirts of things. Morality and justice are deeply important to her. She is willing to resort to violence when necessary, especially if she sees those values being disrespected. She favours sparring with swords, but isn’t afraid to get her knuckles bloody either. As a daughter of Athena, Henry has a deep craving for knowledge. She spends most of her time researching the great Greek sculptors. Her biggest aspiration (aside from proving herself in a quest) is to sculpt for the Gods themselves, immortalising them in marble for the world to see. About Me Birthdate: November 14th, 2006 Likes: Sculpture, debate, the rain, being right, swordplay, praise of any kind, horror movies, loud music Dislikes: Ignorance, heat, maths, the climbing wall, disloyalty, asking for help, being proved wrong, being called Henrietta Family: Mom: Athena Dad: Alistair Abbot, 42 years Siblings: Cabin 6 Other: None Happy Thoughts: Listening to music or watching horror movies somewhere warm and comfortable, with heavy rain falling outside. Victoria unaware of the divine presence she had encountered, found herself drawn to a charming and enigmatic stranger who seemed to possess an uncanny knowledge of the city's hidden secrets and a deep appreciation for its rich history. As Victoria and Hermes spent time exploring the city together, they forged a connection based on mutual curiosity, intellectual stimulation, and a shared love for adventure. The two had a night of passion but in the morning the man was gone. Finishing up her travels she quickly found out she was pregnant. This shocking news made her make some hard decisions. Making Victoria go home early to make sure she had the best doctors as she felt this child gave her a new purpose in life. Celeste was born as a healthy baby girl. One that seemed to have a knack for being pretty quick once she started to move. Celeste grew up straddling two worlds, embracing her mother's independent spirit and her father's mischievous nature. As she grew she found herself getting into trouble as she loved to get into places she should not be. Celeste's mischievous streak manifested itself early on. Celeste had an insatiable desire to push boundaries and seek out excitement. She would often find herself in situations where her curiosity led her down a path of trouble as impulsive behavior would take over. However, Celeste possessed a unique ability to worm her way out from the predicaments she found herself in. Her words seemed to be just what she needed to get her out of trouble at times. One particular skill that Celeste developed as she grew up was her ability to pick locks. She found herself fascinated by the intricate mechanisms that kept doors, cabinets, and safes locked away. With her newfound talent, Celeste would often find herself in situations where she needed to gain access to forbidden places. Whether it was exploring her mother's extensive collection of valuable artifacts or sneaking into restricted areas during her travels, Celeste's nimble fingers and fast feet skills allowed her to bypass even the most sophisticated security measures. When Celeste was around 12 years old she was in a government building taking a tour with her mom when she slipped away to pick a lock to a side room. This is where she was looking around when a sound came from the side. Turning she saw what looked like a monster came at her, screaming she ran from it, that was when one of the guards from the government building ran in but he had goat legs? Celeste was so shocked she stopped as she watched as the goat creature attacked the monster. It wasn't until the fighting was over when she talked to the satyr who told her she was a demi-god. Part of her thought she was imaging it until the monster came back. This time she helped the satyr fight it off until it left. Hearing that this would keep happening if she did not go to camp, she went to her mother who was upset she broke into another room but was worried when she was told about the monster. Her mother was shocked at her daughter being a demi-god but bill helped her understand. The satyr bill then convinced her mom that Camp-half blood was the only safe place to be so she let her go. Making it to camp half-blood with bill she was claimed later that night as a daughter of Hermes. The girl then grew up still finding herself in all sorts of trouble with her friends and siblings. One day when she got older, her mom got tired of her always using her money and getting into trouble so she told her to get a job. Not knowing what to do she began to look for ways to get money but most were so boring. It was her exceptional skills and natural inclination for stealth and cunning led her sneak into a lot of places to steal things when she could get permission to get off of camps grounds. Trying to steal for money as she hated the idea of a desk job. So she spends a lot of time at camp unless she gets the rare permission to leave camp. Personality At her core, Celeste is a spirited and adventurous individual. She has an insatiable curiosity and an unyielding thirst for fun, always seeking out new experiences and pushing the boundaries of what is considered possible. Her mischievous nature adds an element of excitement to her life, as she often finds herself drawn to unconventional paths and unconventional solutions. At times she can be impulsive leading her into trouble which she has to use her quick tongue to get her out of or use mommies money. She can be a brat as she has always had money and hates the idea of being "poor". She likes to be treated like a princess. Celeste loves a bit of drama as life can seem boring to her! 18. Miroslaw Mihailov biography Alexey Mihailov is a member of the Bratva, the Russian mafia, and lives in Moscow, he comes from a family of gangsters who have been there since its creation and today have great power, since he was a child he showed a strong charisma derived from his great beauty. For this reason, when he grew up and started working for the family he became a seducer with the task, for money or for a mission, of extrapolating information through courtship or sex, he was an ace in his trade and so far all the women he had with flirted had fallen at his feet... or that was what his family thought, in the deep of Alexey's heart he wanted a better life and a real love story. One day, in a St. Petersburg night club, there for a mission, he met a beautiful woman, the most beautiful he had ever seen, indeed in the world... Alexey began to courting her and lavishing attention upon her, she was the first woman he had ever attempted to court for love and passion, she was the woman of his dreams. He approached her slowly, but with her determination and tried her usual jokes trying to make her fall at her feet, but she was also cunning and ended up being the one to bed him. After that endless night of passion Alexey, with pure sadness, never met the woman again until about 9 months later he returned to St. Petersburg and saw her again, the woman said she was actually Aphrodite, the Bratva member couldn't believe it at first that all Greek mythology was real but then, looking at the woman, he understood that all that beauty could not be human and he was given a bundle that contained his son and the Goddess: Miroslaw. Alexey loved his son and he didn't want for him a life like his own so he tried to make them escape, but they couldn't due to a illness Alexey had that made him die before the escape. Miroslaw was adopted by his evil uncle, the other one that knew the truth about his mother. Miroslaw grew up in the world of the bratva and from an early age he was accustomed to violence because his uncle believed that, being the son of a goddess, he would be more powerful than many others and so he was, he always proved obedient and always managed to complete every task that came his way. was assigned. He was absolutely beautiful and this made him a good manipulator having taken after his father and mother. Unbeknownst to his uncle though, Miro didn't like the life he lived and just wanted to be a normal boy with friends and go to school, not being teaches at home with his uncle, he really liked history and astronomy and he would have liked to know more. But the day he was broken came...he was 9 when they took him into a room and asked him to beat a man up, the boy panicked under the stoic eyes of his uncle and, using a frightening force he managed to open the door and escape, everyone was alerted of the escape and looked for him, but there fate helped Miro and suddenly his appearance changed making him look like a 40 year old man, his normally blue eyes became brown and his hair blonde , was totally unrecognizable, not even his features made him recognizable by his acquaintances. Miro kept running, running and running until he reached a thicket and there he tried to build himself a shelter for the night, he stood on tiptoe to grab a branch when he realized he didn't need it: he was tall enough to reach for it without having to stand up on his toes and wondered why there was a river nearby, he looked in his mirror and understood what had happened to him. So many questions ran through his mind, as he had? Why did he have these powers? Was he special? He wondered this constantly throughout the night, but decided not to try to regain his real appearance because these powers could serve his purpose: he had decided to leave Russia, the Bratva and all his old life to start over, only him, like his father wanted. The next day he managed to get passage to a port on the border with Estonia and there he decided to look for a ship. While inspecting the port he found his uncle in front of him and, frightened, returned to his natural appearance, the evil adult had a falsely reassuring face and tried to convince his nephew to return home. "And you dare to call it home?" It was the answer of the boy who, for the first time in his life, stood up against his uncle and everything he represented. "Don't you want to come? Good! Know that there won't be other places that will treat you like a normal person, you are different! You are not human and you never will be!" And he laughed mockingly at his nephew as he approached and tried to take him by force. Despite the courage he wanted to show to his uncle Miro was terrified, he had always had so much self-confidence throughout his life, but now he felt totally important "I would like to leave, go away from here, as far away as possible, away away" were the thoughts repeating in his mind. His uncle was about to grab his arm when it turned into a fin and soon became a small fish under his uncle's incredulous eyes, Miro no longer understood anything but he knew he had to get away from there and he immediately jumped in the sea and swam away following the sea current, with a little difficulty since he wasn't in full control. Miro didn't know how he had become a fish, it felt out of his control. Throughout the journey, however, he kept thinking about uncle's words: "You are different. You are not human" surely they were linked to his abilities, but he didn't feel like a monster ... maybe. After an interminable swim he felt all his strength draining him completely and he suddenly felt heavier, he was human again and was in the sea, but a big port was nearby so he could go back to the safe ground, he was all wet, tired and he wanted to collapse but he came rescued by an accidental homeless boy, Drims, who let him know he was in New York and taught Miro English. The two lived together for a while, in the alleys of Brooklyn until one night Miroslaw, who usually woke up late, got up earlier and found Drims with a pair of goat's hooves, then asked his friend if he too could transform as he had done Miro months before and Drims marveled at his friend, realizing that he was a demigod, the satyr explained everything to him and took him to Camp Half-Blood. Here Miroslaw was claimed by his mother Aphrodite and became the new little brother of house 10, while, in the company of his friends and siblings, he learned to control his abilities and try to leave the past behind. Eventually he learned that his transformation into a fish must have been a blessing from a god who took pity on him. Finally Alexey's dream of a better life for his child became true. Personality He is a very calm and serene person, he appreciates silence but he doesn't disdain people's attentions, if he finds some kind and beautiful girls he starts filtering with them. He doesn't like people without values or who don't show gratitude and is very loyal to those close to him. He's actually quite shy, so he doesn't look for the first approach, but waits for people to come to him. He is always welcoming to everyone, but one thing that embarrasses him a lot is being treated like a little boy since he is among Aphrodite's newest children in the camp. 19. RYO MITSU biography Ryo Kento Mitsu was born in Japan. He never knew his mother since birth but only that she left him. He grew up only with his father until he remarried and he had a stepmother since then. Besides, she was a very kind mother to him, and took care of him whenever he was in need. At the age of 4, his younger half sister was born and he was quite happy with having a younger sibling. He wasn’t alone anymore while playing his games or going outdoors. As he grew and began international elementary school in Japan, he became good in math and science. He also learnt English and spoke in his daily life aside from Japanese. Even though he isn’t good in other parts of his studies, he took part in some sports clubs, being very good in martial arts and crafting activities particularly. He only made friends and some of them were even best friends that they hang out together all the time. They thought he was quite intellectual and only find it odd that he was never quite good with his grades. Though they didn’t mind that but only value friendship. Ryo is also a Christian and he went with his friends to summer camp often. He often volunteer helping out in camp activities, which made the pastors, teachers and students quite impressed with him. At least he’s good at something out of school which made him proud of himself. At one time he overheard his father and stepmother arguing two rooms away that was about planning to stay at a foreign country, US, to work and have a better living there. His stepmother disagreed as she wanted to remain at her home country and most of her family was here. She was quite traditional to her culture and values, and Ryo had to agree with her on this one. Especially when he also had friends here in his hometown. Hence because of the arguments constantly it resulted in a divorce. Ryo had no idea as they were doing great actually especially having a younger sister who he took care of very much, but he accepted the result with his current family issues, and bid farewell to his sister while he and his father moved to the US. He knew he would see his sister one day again. He also kept in contact with his best friends through letters and emails whenever he can. By the age of 11, he had troubles adapting to the new environment, but he knew he had to and slowly he made new friends at his new school. One evening when he was walking back home from school, he was shocked when attacked by a monster he never knew of but he ran away successfully. Soon at age 12, he met another monster attack, and this time was saved by a satyr, Troy. He kept in contact with him ever since as he wanted to keep in touch with whatever odd going on in his life. He also knew that he was a demigod by the satyr. He informed his father about the news , and the satyr met his father to explain his engagement with monsters before. He knew he trusted his own son no matter what hence he agreed for Ryo to stay at camp and comes back when he can. After going to camp brought by Troy, he was claimed and knew afterwards that he was the son of Athena goddess of wisdom. It had certainly fit all the holes and dots in his life of why learning hadn’t been easy for him as it did for his peers but better with some tasks and subjects than others. His father began another romantic relationship when he was 14 years, while Ryo was grown more and had no issue with it as he also wanted his father to be happy. But this time without being married as his father didn’t want the same thing to happen again, though he might change his mind in the future. Ryo continued training his abilities and also attend classes at camp, meeting his fellow half siblings and also demigods from other cabins. He was much happier there since it was a place for people like him. At age 19, his younger sister, Rei, came to the US to find him without his stepmother as she wanted to study here and live with her brother as long as she can. Ryo would get permission to leave for home when he can. Ryo also told his sister about his birth line and his staying at camp half blood, which Rei was happy for him. He continued to stay at camp until present as he wanted to be around his kind whenever he can. Personality Ryo is loyal, kind, friendly, reserved, inspiring, lovable, intelligent, INFJ, and always around when anyone needs help. He can be a bit stubborn when it comes to defending his own personal values. He likes games of chess or any board games that require solid thinking and strategy. 20. Lydia Hawthorne biography Lydia's father was a graveyard keeper in New Orleans, with a gift for communing with the dead through seances. She never knew her mother--and had never really bothered to ask the story of how her parents met--but had been informed that she had been given to her father early in life. Lydia grew up toddling through graveyards and making friends with tombstones. A lonely child, Lydia struggled to make friends with the other kids. Often alone when at school. It came as no surprise to her father when she developed imaginary friends to compensate for the lack of social interaction with her peers. What did surprise him was the day he walked into the room and saw a fully manifest spirit of a child playing dolls with his daughter. Edgar, in all his years, had never managed to manifest an embodied spirit and knew his daughter must be a special child, indeed. From then on, Edgar would often invite his daughter to the seances when a high paying client would come, or around Halloween. Lydia, not realizing that her father was letting his greed get the better of him and using the gifts from her mother for profit--trusting the only caring adult she had ever known--would oblige and summon the spirits of those called forth. Of course, most of the mortals thought that it was a trick of some kind. But those who believed in her gift were often terrified. Further alienating her from society. Lydia's father realized in time what he was doing, but it was too late. Too many children were afraid of Lydia in their neighborhood, and the bullying began. Lydia would walk home from school, and her peers would throw things at her, call her terrible names, and try to humiliate her. She took it all in stride, but it was clear that it was wearing on her. Eventually Edgar decided to homeschool her and hired a tutor to teach her. The tutor, Spruce, and Lydia became fast friends because he, also, knew what it was like to be different. Spruce taught her a lot about Greek mythology and history during her lessons. One night, when Lydia was 10 years old, well after she should have been asleep she heard her father in a heated conversation with Spruce. Wondering what her tutor was doing there so late at night, Lydia crept up and overheard the argument. "She needs to go to camp, Edgar." "I'm not abandoning her and hurting her again. It's my fault she's so lonely." "There are others like her there." "Like her? Really?" "Well... not exactly." Spruce confessed. "I've never met any demigods that are exactly like her. But there are other demigods." At that point Lydia stepped out. "Like Heracles?" She tilted her head to the side. "And Achilles?" "You don't need to go dear." Her father assured her. "I'll... I'll keep you safe." He swore. Poor foolish mortal. He couldn't have known the lie he was telling her. Spruce left. But not three weeks later an attack on their home occurred. A terrible creature, something that Lydia couldn't even identify in her fear, trashed their home. In her father's efforts to save her life, he sacrificed himself. Seeing the dead body of her father, Lydia dissociated. Hundreds of ghosts rose to her aid and the creature was fended off--not defeated, but gone. When Lydia finally came to, only one spirit remained. The small ghost of the little girl she had played with as a child. "Your father is gone. Go find the Satyr, Spruce. He'll take you somewhere safe." And then she dissipated. Spruce had never really gone far, and was easy enough to find. A devastated Lydia followed the advice of her former imaginary friend, and let Spruce guide her to her new home Camp Half-Blood. Just before her 13th birthday, Lydia was claimed by her mother, Melinoë. It's been 5 years since that tragedy. Lydia's never managed to call the spirit of her father, despite her best efforts to try. She has spent her time learning to defend herself, but has no motivation to ever leave camp again. She is content to speak with the dead, and continue her studies. Hoping that one day she'll be able to call her father's spirit to her, and see him one last time. Personality Upon first getting to know Lydia, on the surface she seems like an airhead. Often seeming to be spaced out or daydreaming--well day-nightmaring?--she can be hard to get to know. For those willing to put in a bit of effort, however, they will discover that she's quite intelligent and a brilliant artist, if a bit macabre in her choice of subjects. Lydia can be a bit melancholic and wistful, but she has a heart of gold and is happy to support and help anyone who is willing to accept her eccentric attempts at support. Lydia finds joy in things most people would find off-putting. Perhaps a side-effect of being the daughter of the Goddess of Nightmares. She prefers solitude or a small group of friends over crowds, and the company of ghosts over the living more often than not. Lydia feels most at home in a graveyard, but has learned to make due at Camp. 21. Benji Baker biography In Kansas, a woman named Brittany Baker grew up and was known as a powerhouse when it came to fighting in MMA. One night, after a particularly hard fight, she noticed a man who had been watching her for the past week, standing there observing another fight. This sparked something in her, and she walked over to confront him about it, as she had felt his gaze on her throughout the week. They struck up a conversation and soon found themselves back at her house, having a few drinks and engaging in a night of intense, desire-filled sex. The next morning, she woke up to find that he had left in the middle of the night without saying a word. Later that week, she tried to find him but had no luck. He had vanished from her life just like that. A couple of weeks later, she discovered that she was expecting a child and attempted to find the man once again. However, when she mentioned it to the people she usually interacted with, they claimed not to remember anyone she had spoken to back then. Nine months later, after a challenging pregnancy, she gave birth to a baby boy whom she named Benji. Taking care of him proved to be quite difficult as he was a very challenging baby. He would always fight his mother when he was angry, which seemed to be all the time. As he grew up, his mother enrolled him in MMA to help him with his anger issues. He excelled in his classes and soon reached a high level of fighting. In middle school, he began making friends with the wrong crowd, becoming a bully and engaging in frequent fights at school. However, during a week-long suspension, he befriended a boy who often spent time in the park. This boy was different from the people Benji usually associated with but was someone he would typically pick on in school. Strangely, Benji found himself unable to bully this boy and ended up striking up a conversation with him, discovering they had some common interests. Benji's anger seemed to subside when he was around this boy. One day, during that week, Benji noticed another boy in the playground who appeared strange. The more he observed, the more the boy didn't seem right. It became clear what was off only a few minutes later when he turned into a monster! Benji looked over to his friend and noticed that he had taken off his pants and noticed that there was goat leg there. His eyes then traveled up to his head and noticed that his had to come off and there were horns there as well. He freaked out for a moment but then the monster charged them, but Benji's friend bravely confronted it. Leaving Benji worried about his new friend's safety. The fight was a blue to Benji as he watched, overwhelmed by the fact that he was witnessing a monster from Greek Mythology, something he didn't think was real. He yearned to help his friend, but his legs refused to move. Eventually his friend dealt with the final blow and rushed to Benji, urging to run to his mother's house, saying he needed to talk to her. Once they arrived at the house where Brittany lived, Benji and his friend rushed in with Benji frantically speaking and screaming. There was so much he wanted to convey, but not enough time to say it all at once. His friend quieted him and began explaining to Brittany what happened, emphasizing that Benji needed to go to camp for special kids like him. Initially resistant, Brittany started to believe them after Benji Recounted the story of what had occurred. Something in her wanted to trust him, so she listened to both boys and soon found herself helping her son pack his bags for the journey. She informed them that she would take them to New York. They soon embarked on their journey and within a few days, they arrived in Long Island. Brittany dropped them off and watched them disappear, hoping that her son would be safe. Benji entered the camp and approached the large house, where he received all the information that he needed to know. He stayed in cabin 11 until the bon fire where he was claimed as cabin five, a child of Ares. As the years went by, he found himself growing more attached to two of his siblings. Dustin and Liam. They soon were the three that ended up causing the most trouble in the camp. He had bonded with them pretty well. He also helped Dustin with his hand-to-hand combat, teaching him things that he had learned when he was younger in the MMA. He had also found himself, flirting with the girls when he was older. He helped where he could and was allowed to help. Personality In essence, Benji is a hot-tempered, fiercely protective, and proficient combatant with a penchant for impulsivity and challenging authority. His fiery temperament often lands him in skirmishes, yet he's incredibly loyal and protective when it comes to his friends. His upbringing and parentage have bestowed upon him a natural talent in fighting, with MMA being his forte. Though prone to impulsive actions and a noted rebel against authority, his confidence extends beyond the battlefield and into social interactions, often manifesting as charismatic flirtation. Deep down, Benji carries a sensitive heart hidden beneath his rugged exterior, which he rarely showcases. Despite his rebellious disposition, he exhibits remarkable adaptability, adjusting swiftly to his new life at Camp Half-Blood, while bringing his own dash of rebellious flair to the environment. She found a job as a receptionist in a hotel in Buffalo, she didn't like the city very much because it was cold (very different from her lovely Spain), but she made a sacrifice: "All for a better life" she said. One day there was a big snow and a big man entered in the hotel and met Julia, he was very nice and calm, unlike she, who was very sociable and dynamic; they looked at eachother and they've fallen in love... they made sex the night after. One day she was outside returning from school and some bullies started to mocking her her because she was always at home studying or watching outside, but When they started to kick her the rain suddenly started to fall making all the boys wet, worried about the possibility of a storm, they left, leaving Annie in peace. When she was about 11 years old at the hotel where her mother worked went a new director arrived, everyone welcomed him and he seemed even nicer than the previous one, but Annie could see that something was wrong with the man: his sharp teeth and how he always looked hungry whenever he saw her, her mother told Annie that it was just her impression, but Annie didn't believe it. Soon, however, some money disappeared at the hotel and the manager didn't think long before accusing Julia, "Obviously we can't trust a foreigner here, with little money and a daughter to support" that's what he said before firing her. The news spread and no one wanted to give Julia a job, let alone Annie who offered to help her, so the winter arrived and they find themselves homeless in the cold. It wasn't a problem for Annie, who had always tolerated the cold well since she was a child, but for Julia, yes, she had never got used to the cold temperatures of the city and got sick easily... the disease kept getting worse with each passing day and the weather was always bad, Annie couldn't do nothing to help her mother no matter how hard she tried. The thing that most marked the girl in those days was mom who complained of a cold that the young girl couldn't feel ... just before the winter ended, among Annie's desperate cries, Julia died. She was buried in the nearby cemetery and Annie found herself alone, running away from anyone who tried to get her since she was alone, not long after, the hotel manager arrived in the alley were Annie lived and suddenly he turned into a monster and tried to attack the still upset girl, she was still thinking about her mum at the time and She didn't care about dying but then a goat-legged boy tried with a bronze sword to save her, he wasn't good at fighting and the monster started to attack him, that was the time Annie got really angry, she didn't wanted to protect her life, but the one of the only boy that tried to save her. As if weather responded to her thoughts, at that instant a great storm began to hit and the more tears flowed down Annie's face the more hail fell on the monster, thanks to that distraction the boy managed to hurt the monster and the two, using the strong wind, fled from danger. When they were well away the guy introduced himself: his name was Thomas. Thomas explained that he was a satyr, a being from Greek mythology who had come to take her to Camp Half-Blood, a place for people like her, apparently she was a demigod. Having nothing to lose Annie decided to leave Buffalo with him and going to Long Island for a new beginning. 24. Carter Price biography Lazy, lacking in energy or motivation. These were the things that Carter heard from point he could start to understand. He had always been a quiet child, able to entertain himself and rarely if ever cried. It was only as he started to grow into a toddler that this muted rhythm of life seemed to become a characteristic over a phase. He was often seen to be staring into the distance or lethargic for large portions of the day. His mother took him to experts but they could find nothing physiological that would answer these symptoms, he was mostly seen as having learning difficulties and these became more pronounced with his delays in reading and then into writing. He had a good if uneventful early childhood - struggling to learn or pay attention in classes and even when moving to special needs he was still hard to pull into focus. As he got through his first few years of schooling bullying and getting picked on increased greatly, his slowness made him useless at sports, his lack of attention made him an easy target for verbal abuse. He kept himself to himself and craved the times he could escape school and the rest of his troubles but each day he was forced back onto the bus and into the school once more. It was only around the age of ten that the boy really managed to take stock of his predicament, he returned to consciousness after another long night of sleep but had awoken as a lucid dreamer, the gift of full recollection and awareness within dreams. In that night he had been able to grasp the wisps of the dreaming realm that had always left his hold before. He had met another dreamer while walking in a golden city and learned tales of the dreamlands and all its paths. Little could he tell if he had met the figure in the past as is the way of dreamlands but now he was clear within his mind. The dreamer was little but a mortal vagrant in the other world but here he was able to be whatever he wanted, whether he was human, demigod or god it didn't make the same differences here. From this moment onward Carter changed, his ability to concentrate or focus on a task at hand was still diminished, especially if it involved reading or writing but his capabilities and knowledges improved though how he made such leaps and bounds were less commonly known. Alongside him at the school he was attending was another kid, named Trent, that was weird on a level to match Carter. He had big afro hair and seemed pretty easily distracted but thankfully seemed to be one of the few souls who did not torment him. Carter most appreciated the shakes from Trent to keep him awake through classes when a teacher was likely to pick on him, he might not be any good at the subjects but still wanted to avoid the troubles being singled out by teachers would cause. During another class, trying to teach them the complex world of mathematics, Carter dozed off once more, the spinning numbers putting him under. He bolted upright in his seat, a nightmare keeping its hold on his mind. He screamed out involuntarily, only just realizing that the hazy memories of black mists and tentacles of his nightmare were still around him in the classroom. If it hadn't been for Trent at the next desk over he would have been crushed by the tendrils that seemed to be forming in the mist around him. As they escaped the class room the the room was filled with a dark smoke with shapes moving ominously within it. Once they got to Carters home, they found out his mother had been contacted by school - his erratic behaviour, his outburst and his truancy being reported back with none of the otherworldly troubles that had affected him. It was then that Trent dropped the follow up bombshell - that Carter was a demigod, a child of one of the gods of the world and that these attacks would continue. It took a lot of soul searching and discussions, where Trent revealed the camps existence and showed his Satyr horns and hooves as proof, Carter and his mother finally agreed that he should go to camp to try to overcome these troubles. During his early days at camp he ended up unhappy with his lot and was still adapting to the struggles of camp life, especially for anyone so prone to sleeping and the lethargy of their cabins predicament. It was never really discovered what happened that day, whether it was a dare, an accident or a cry for help. What was known was that he had been found lying next to the waters that dripped from a poplar tree branch within their cabin, a conduit directly linked to the river Lethe. Since his self-inflicted amnesia, Carter has been able to keep mostly to his own cabin. He has learned to use the few hours of the day that he forces himself to be awake (powered by caffeine or stronger substances) to eat, exercise and do those tasks he needs muscle memory for (like swords work and similar) During his slumbering hours he has learned to frequent the New York Public Library or any of the number of private galleries and libraries across the city. He gets pre-opening access to every exhibition, he has the best seats (floating above them normally) to every show in town. Personality He abhors his time in the waking world and only subjects himself to time there as he knows without it his body will wither and die, it means he tends to keep busy loathing his time away from the dreamlands and trying to get it over with as quickly as he can. He keeps a diary next to his bed with major events he forces himself up for, timing his sleeping hours around these such as capture the flag or specific lessons - where these are not needed he tends to aim for the late afternoon into evening taking in the nights meal, activities and then the bonfire before retiring to sleep once more. Few really know the other side to Carter, from a young age he had preferred his dream side, learning to focus and adapt his image and to frequent the street and libraries of the golden city of Celephaïs and to live where he was not limited by the earth realms limitations no longer being bound by the jumbling of characters on text or being locked to the ground for motion. During the days he has learned to do enough to keep his body from falling apart, exercise and sustenance were major parts in the hours he pushes himself to do but for most of his time he enjoys seeing the camp from the astral plane. He does not consider himself to be snooping as much as not bound by the mortal frame. He has been able to provide knowledge and insight into many of the most esoteric topics with thanks to his studies in the dreamland libraries and taverns where he is considered an old soul, likely from the powers that Hypnos has granted upon him. He tends to be a privileged and happy go lucky camper, mostly keeping his own company and his own tasks - always seeming to be impatient to get done when going through the motions of the waking world. He is known in their cabin most for humming or singing along to musical numbers when he is visiting them in astral form. 25. Finley Walker biography Mr. Walker was given a job by his father in the communications department of a well off company. Unfortunately, he batched it so badly that he was sent back to the local college on a refresh course of a communications class. This is where he met a gorgeous TA who was extremely great with her color coordination as well as her communications skills. Working together closely he found himself falling for the girl as she helped him improve tremendously. This ultimately lead to a night of passion, but when he woke up the next day, she was gone. Getting back to a new job at a organics company, Mr. Walker put his new found skills to work getting better and better in his job. Finding that he was climbing the ladder to success quickly when all of a sudden a baby was brought to him by the TA he met in that class! Shocked he asked who the child's was when he found out it was his and that the TA was the goddess Iris. This new information made him light headed so he took a seat as he now had a baby to bring up. Finley was the new baby's name as he had beautiful eyes that changed from time to time depending on what he was wearing. As the boy grew he found a love of art as he brought both his love of color with being able to express himself. He hated going to school as he struggled a lot with reading plus having ADHD. Art was something he felt he was naturally good at as the colors he worked with in his art just came to him naturally. Growing more and more he started taking up surfing which is when he met a friend, Oak, who loved the idea of surfing but was terrified of the water. So he just sat on the shore as he watched the other surf, making great commentary when his friends got back to the beach to join him. Finley was always found either at school or out and about with his friend Oak. The two had many adventures together which mainly happened due to how much Finley hated a boring life. Causing him to act recklessly to add more adventure and fun to their lives. Just like the time he had them sneaking out late at night from his dad's house to go to meetup at the beach. One of those times they were walking to the beach when they were chased by this scary looking creature which Oak saved him from. But he had goat legs??? Too stunned to talk, Oak dragged Finley back home, he woke his dad who was shocked about them sneaking out when he told him about the monster. His dad explained to him that he needed to go to this special camp. His father was sad by his son leaving, but he understood he needed to go. It took them some time to make it to the camp, battling a lot of monsters on the way. When he got to the Big House, he was shocked to find out the Greek gods were real. Later that night at the bonfire, he was claimed by Iris. Finley found himself at home with others who were also just like him in many ways. Finding they communicated very well plus they all were very color coordinated. Since then he spent all his time around year at camp as he tried to find new and exciting things to make his life more interesting. Whether that was a new girlfriend or even finding a monster to fight. Finley loved being at Camp Half-Blood as his life was far more than ordinary and he hopefully would never be stuck at a desk job ever again! Personality Finley has always been the laid back surfer dude who just does what he feels like. He does not like to conform to what society says he should do aka get a desk job! As he grew up in California, he found himself drawn to doing things like surfing and even taking art classes at the local studio in town. This brought him around a lot of people that taught him if he wanted to grow in his art, then needed to find his muse. This idea along with a struggle he had with life just being ordinary made him engage in impulsive behavior to bring him to new heights and experiences. Finley is someone who craves life to be something exciting with new experiences and sensations all the time. When he's presented with an opportunity to try something new or take a risk, he acts impulsively and jumps at the chance without thinking of consequences and such. However, he is great with communication which had gotten him out of trouble for a time or two! Thanks mom!!!!! Finley is one to be the life of the party as you never know what he might do next. This along with his string of girls, as he gets bored quickly. Leading to him going girl to girl whenever he feels like it. But one of his biggest compliments in any relationship he is in is that he is great with his communication About Me Birthdate: 13Dec2004 Likes: Surfing, Painting, Nature, Goo Goo Dolls, Nirvana, Friends, California Weather Dislikes: Crowds, Conformity, Authority, superficial people, Blink 182, Being confined or limited Family: Mom: Iris, Goddess of the Rainbow Dad: Mr. Walker, 47 years old, Communications for a organic company Siblings: None Other: None Happy Thoughts: Nice summer california days when he was in the art studio expressing himself Nightmares: Being told he has to conform and get a desk job, never to do art again Fatal Flaw: Impulsiveness PLAYED BY: DUDEITSBRITT FACE CLAIM: Corrado Martini
