  1. Tye shuddered, looking up at the man who sat next to her. "My friend-" She nodded towards the windowsill, tears streaming down her cheeks. "Something was following us and- I didn't get here in time." She continued sobbing into the couch cushions, fidgeting with a homemade bracelet on her wrist. Looking up at him, her eyes were stained red. "He made this for me.." She said sadly, looking at the pot on the windowsill. She blinked, as if trying to hold back the pools and pools of tears from slipping down her reddened cheeks. She wiped her nose on the sleeve of her jean jacket, shuddering silently.

  2. The campers in the big house didn't often get big dramatic arrivals, but the girl crying as she held a daffodil in her hands was definitely enough to get some strange, inquisitive looks. The new arrival wore a black and red striped tank top, a jean jacket, ripped black jeans and a pair of dirty old converse that looked like they were red at some point in time. Tears trickled down her cheeks at the girl stared intensely at the daffodil, as if daring it to continue being just a flower. When it continued to sit in her hands at just a plant, she let out a cry of pain and fell to her knees.

"Chad!" she cried out, her eyes welling up with water. A few campers ran up to comfort her, and the others exchanged solem looks. This wasn't just a shaken demigod crying over a plant. This was a teenage girl crying over a satyr, apparently one named Chad who had died to bring her to safety. They didn't need to know what this girl's story was to know she was in no position to find out about her heritage.. not yet at least. A few older campers helped her up and took her to the windowsill, where an empty clay pot was waiting. Hesitantly, the girl tilted her cupped hands down, letting her friend slide into the pot. Instantly, the name Chad appeared painted in blue and green on the rough clay. The young girl clutched her stomach, and her tears slid straight into the soil. "He- he didn't deserve this. It's all my fault." She said, pointing to her head and frowning deeply. "Stupid, stupid Tye Dezera. Always messing everything up." Falling onto the couch, she sunk into the cushions and made a series of faces that gave mixed emotions. Finally settling on a scrunched up snarl, Tye cried until all the wrinkles she'd made in her face were full of glistening droplets. Clutching the homemade bracelet on her wrist, she let out another cry and curled into a shuddering, crying ball. And there she stayed, until she swear she heard the daffodil call out to her in Chad's voice. Wiping the snot of her nose, she looked at it with wide eyes. It finally said one last word to her before it turned towards the window: "Forgive."

She shuddered silently, realising the last thing her friend ever asked of her was something she would never be able to do.

    BIOGRAPHY

Her Mami always used to sit her down and tell her about how she met her Papi:

"I was at home, talking to my Mama on the phone when I heard a knock at the door. At the time I had no clue that knock was going to change my life forever. Era tu Papi, mi hija. Your Papi was on the other side of that door, and I knew I was in love with him the moment I opened it to his handsome face. I probably smiled like some lovestruck idiot, and, well.. You're living proof that it worked out."

Her Mami died when Tye was 3, and she lived with her Abuela full time until she was 7. That's when the first monster attack happened.

It was 10:34 am on her 7th birthday. She was just about to blow out the candles on her homemade cake when she saw him, just walking around outside the window. Being small for her age, she was used to people towering over her, but this man in the trenchcoat was a whole other story. And that's when he looked at her. Craning her neck to see his face, she dropped her slice of cake and screamed.

Her Abuela later convinced her it was just a dream, and they were moving because of something else, but Tye never forgot what she saw when she looked at him: he only had one eye, right in the middle of his forehead.

Fast forward to present day. Tye has been to 14 boarding schools in the last 5 years, never failing to get every teacher on the board to hate her before she's expelled. At first she tried to be good, she really did. But she always fell into her old ways, and eventually she just had to accept the fact that she was always going to be a role model student for the kids who prefer to sit in the back of the class.

At the latest school, a St. Willas in New York, she makes friends with a student named Chad Riles. Despite her annoying tendencies to poke fun at Tye's "stories" about winged bat ladies and giant dogs from hell, she knows Chad see's them too.

Well, she didn't KNOW until the attack. They were walking to the park on Saturday when Tye noticed they were being followed by an old lady wearing a leather jacket. She grabbed Chad's hand and steered them both towards the giant oak tree. Waiting for the lady to walk up, Tye ripped a piece of fabric off her sleeve.

"Chad, I need one of your boots."

    "Why mine?"

"Because I don't think hitting her across the face with a ratty old converse is gonna do much."

He grudgingly took off his combat boot and handed it to Tye. She barely had time to process what was on the end of her friends leg when the old lady started getting closer. She tied the boot to the end of the fabric and swung, hitting the lady smack in the face. She hissed, and lunged towards them, her face twisting and turning into a hag like mess, her jacket flapping like bat wings in the air. Her nails turning into talons, she lunged and scratched at the air. Tye grabbed her neck and rammed her head into the tree until she did something unexpected: she popped into a cloud of dust flying in every direction. But her victory was short lived.

"Tye-" Chad croaked, holding her bloody stomach. She realized with a jolt that the hag had gotten to him before she went full dust explosion mode. Picking up Chad, she followed his instructions to a hill with a Pine Tree on top.

"Chad, we made it-" And then saw she wasn't holding her odd friend with a hoof anymore.

    She was holding a Daffodil.

She was later informed of her Abuela's death. She felt as if she had been their to protect her, she might have lived. Naturally, she feels as if everything she does has to make Abuela and Chad proud, as she feels their deaths are on her hands and her conscience.

    Personality

She is brave and strong, but can sometimes get anxiety attacks. She tries to hide her fear of failing by always throwing herself into a situation before she has the time to worry about it. She also often doubts her own capability and assumes people are lying to her if they tell her she did anything right. She also blames herself for her Abuela's death, constantly feeling like she's not good enough for anyone.
