  1. Luca eagerly stepped onto the fertile grounds outside of his cabin, his eyes sparkling with anticipation. The scent of rich soil and blossoming flowers enveloped him, filling his senses with a comforting familiarity. Unlike many other demigods, he isn't the type to include exercise in his morning routine but he does get a good light workout sometime within from his daily activities. Spending so much time outside, he was drawn to the camp's bountiful gardens and orchards, where vibrant crops swayed in the gentle breeze. The rhythmic symphony of rustling leaves and the earthy scent of freshly turned soil awakened a deep sense of purpose within him. With each step, Luca felt an innate kinship with the plants around him.

He wasted no time in immersing himself in the world of cultivation. He eagerly sought out opportunities to put his green thumb to work, sowing seeds, tending to delicate saplings, and nurturing the land with unwavering devotion. Whether it was the vibrant hues of blooming flowers or the sight of plump, ripe vegetables, each sign of growth brought him immeasurable joy. From an early age, he had been immersed in the rustic beauty of his father's farm, where the fields stretched as far as the eye could see, and the scent of freshly turned soil hung in the air. It was during those long days on the farm that Luca first glimpsed the extraordinary abilities he possessed as a child of Demeter. He discovered that his touch had a unique effect on the plants. With a gentle stroke, wilted flowers would perk up, and drooping vines would reach skyward once more. It was a natural affinity that both fascinated him, reminding him of his deep connection to the goddess of agriculture which he found out when he was claimed.

Today, he was found meticulously tending to a flourishing patch of sunflowers that basked in the sun's rays... @ Hunter Arion Betelgeuse

  2. Luca wasn't surprised when she mentioned Dawn would also drag her into her mess. To him, it was almost like second nature to her but he was certain that it would be something harmless. Every time it happened, it was no hard feelings but other times some took it too seriously. It falls down to choosing the right people and what to mess with. It seemed like she was completely okay with it as well so he was happy that Dawn has her around as well. "Yes, I remember one like it was yesterday. It wasn't too bad and we almost got caught." With that, he was thinking Dawn should be the one to elaborate the details. Luca listened to her experiences beyond the camp borders and was happy to know that she was able to enjoy without monsters attacking her. It might be in the suburbs, wherever she went. He couldn't help but chuckle when she made the assumption and it could be in some ways true.

"I haven't seen my dad in a while, but I send him letters once a month. He's a bit worried that I'm sticking around with Dawn even though he wants to see her sometime. 'What sort of girl is she? You should invite her sometime.' is what he wrote on one of the recent letters." Luca did invite her and she took up on his offer, but he still hasn't gotten around to setting up a date for them to leave. Now that he mentioned it, he should set one up before the season ends. Just as he was about to speak, he was given a bag of marshmallows and it quickly drew his attention. He grabbed a handful and passed it to the other while getting a stick as well.

  3. He couldn't argue about that. Both of their rooms are a mess. Forgetting to pick up after himself or change new clothes after walking in with filthy attire, Luca is entirely the blame for that and he was certain she was too for her room, but that was not important right now. "Sure, count me on board. I'm not good artist though I hope I don't ruin your aesthetics or anything." He cared about not being a good at artistic endeavors only because Dawn was one of the more... creative half-siblings so he found it fun to look at her designs and see whatever she's come up with.

"The Aphrodite kids have nothing but make up on, though- right? They could probably convince people without doing anything. And even some of them are terrible actors... I think," Luca paused, "Well, we don't have a choice. We're bait for monsters and I get shocked some campers have led normal lives before coming here." He did not know much about her father since she's only mentioned him but never talks about him. He sometimes wondered what exactly happened to him that could tarnish their surname but maybe this is the time to talk about it. "Do you... want to talk about it, Dawn?"

Being alone together in their little treehouse gave them privacy too, so she was free to speak unless some dryad sneaks up on them.

  4. It was not that he did not care for the claiming, but Luca tends to find something to do and then be hyper fixated at it. So when some of his half-siblings told him to come with, he said he will "in a bit". It was a while after they had left and the cabin had nothing but him. He was working on some flower patterns that he thought was his best work. He was not a terribly good artist, but he felt confident in his little sheet of paper that had a sketch of the morning glory. The boy shot a glance over to the flower that is being kept alive by the cabin's magic when it should have wilted by now. Then it hit him. The claiming. He stood up and left his drawing on the table, rushing only to find out that the event hasn't started yet. Whew! He wasn't the type to tend to commitments but he couldn't miss this one!

One of the first campers he saw was Dawn, whose dress made her stood out. In turn, he was wearing a green shirt with leaf patterns on it along with a pair of khaki shorts. If anyone had the eye, he looked like a safari tour guide. All he needed was a bucket hat. "Hey sis!" He called her out but when he approached her, another two lass did the same. He hadn't seen her before but he did see the other around. "You are... Mei Lin, right? Dawn has mentioned you a couple of times."

  5. What his older half-sister said had reassured him and he made a mental note not to worry about her as much. He still worries for his friends and family, but he's beginning to express a little bit more of that to her since she gets herself in trouble practically every day. And yet she still appeared to have fun and not get harmed. He's also been part of the experience as well... he could testify that she's like a harmless lady bug that constantly annoys people whenever she gets the chance. Yes, she can handle herself just fine. Luca continued to look at the morning glory flower before finally giving Dawn his undivided attention. Giving the flora life before they could die. How could it not be the best gift given?

"More like organized crime..." He muttered, only to laugh out loud at his comment whether or not she heard it. He already knew his room tends to be a mess and some of their half-siblings have already pointed it out, complained, and occasionally cleaned for him. In turn, he'll make them meals if they ever do that last part which is why he is rarely seen cleaning his own room albeit he was confident it was more cleaner than Dawn's. Anyways... "What are you working on this time?" He asked as he laid down on the floor with her with no regards to his clothes being dirty. "You should be an actress while you're at it. Maybe you'll shock everyone!"

  6. Luca waited for someone to open the door, completely okay if it does not open. The children of Hypnos is an enigma to him but he was slightly jealous that they are allowed to sleep all day when most of the other campers have their own schedules. Camp Half-Blood is certainly a safe haven, but he couldn't imagine himself staying here forever. He's held a train-life balance since he's arrived where the other athletically-inclined campers tend to work harder. He continued to grip the box on its sides, glancing behind him to see the other campers just strolling by, chatting with their friends, or even preparing to train. The morning sun continued to shine on the valley so his mood is considerably good at the moment.

And finally, the door to the cabin in front of him opened. It appeared to be a girl younger than him. She looked awfully presentable if she was in bed before then. "Hey, good morning. Sorry to interrupt your sleep. I just wanted to hand out strawberries to the campers if they wanted a morning snack. You want some? Oh, and let your siblings know too." Luca began with a cordial tone. In no way he was forcing nature's candy into someone else, but he thought it was a good idea to take initiative. "If not, that's okay. I can move onto the next cabin.

A certain child of Demeter was up since the early morning working the shift in the strawberry fields. He loved seeing them grow, only to pick and pack them for a huge order placed by a local farmers market. Their growth can also be attributed to the music played by the satyrs' reed pipes and there was two this time to help out. He doesn't talk to them as much as he would like to so he wasted no time in doing so. He knew they're responsible for searching for demigods and bringing them here so rarely he saw one. And if he did, he must have been distracted in his own schedule. After having a brief conversation with both of them, he elected to pick out the strawberries and place them in a vacant, wooden box. It was a rectangle made up of wood grown in the woods, crafted finely by the children of Athena and those who helped. He decided it would be nice to go door-to-door in the cabins and hand out strawberries.

The young man finally reached Cabin 15, evident on the wreath made of red poppies that hung in the door. Hypnos' symbol also hung from the mantel and anyone could discern from the mud walls. He's never been inside but many know that it won't be difficult to fall asleep. It's a rule to not let other campers inside their cabin, but knowing the gods' symbolism, Luca had no doubt he might be right. He wouldn't be surprised to find the camper who answered the door be drowsy. He knocked anyway. Only one way to find out. @ Elena Miller

  8. Luca couldn't help but chuckle. He remembered telling stories about him and her through his letters, but despite the worry his father has for his son, he was delighted to know that he's met a few friends that could even stand him. Perhaps extending an invitation might be too much for her, but the offer would still stand. "It won't be weird but... my father will make you earn your keep. He makes me do the chores so... I don't see him letting you slack off. We live pretty far from urban areas so we haven't had much monster attacks." In truth, he hasn't thought much about inviting her until recently but the mere possibility of her going gave him the serotonin he needs. Luca approached a potted plant that sat on the window, shrouded with sunlight. It seems like a dryad or one of their siblings took care of it this morning.

"A beautiful, yet fragile flower. They last a day and fade as the sun sets. Our powers can offset this." Luca spoke with a soft tone, taking a pause before he could employ a joke. "Who would want to snoop in your room? It's a mess. You probably lost track of your stuff.

  9. Luca already knew how capable she is but there is a limit to how concerned he can get for her. Even though she can handle herself in the face of trouble, he would sometimes get dragged along with it simply because they're often seen together. Which he didn't mind at all whether or not it affected him. Dawn had just given him a reminder and he elected to take it to heart so he may pay no heed. A soft chuckle parted his lips after a drew a sigh of relief. "Okay. My bad for caring." There was no offense in his tone. She's a smart lilac. He doesn't take pleasure in hurting others, but if it is a harmless prank... he could make an exception.

"Well if you didn't want to go out with me, you could have said so." He bantered. "Just saying my dad would love the company. I talk to him about you often so he might be curious to see who the person who keeps dragging me into her predicament." The thought of him discovering how much trouble they went through made him chuckle, so it might be more fun if they bring the trouble over there. Except the monsters part. "It'll be fun, but I won't force you." Luca took the moment to gauge the interior of the treehouse, pleased to see that it was somewhat tidy. It was never meant to be spotless but he didn't like a mess if it was there for too long in spite of his somewhat unkempt appearance.

"I have your favorite flower in my room back in my home. I keep flowers representative of my loved ones there so there is a couple from camp. You included. Sappy, I know."

  10. "You will get reprimanded if your pranks get too far. That's were I have to draw the line," he paused for a sudden moment, "I know you tried. You're not above that." Luca drew a sigh. He could not tell if he should be concerned or relieved, but he never liked hurting people when he is having fun. It just ruins the fun for him and it's clear that the two of them are different this way. He would scold her sure, but he would never bring himself to hate her. "Just... know who are you pranking, please? I don't want you to get in trouble again. I'm not telling you to halt your fun altogether, but I'm more worried that people might gang up on you or something. What if I wasn't there to help you?" While Luca may be immature at times and that his morals can be a little twisted, what trumps over this is his compassion for his friends and family. A hand moved to intertwine their fingers, giving her a soft squeeze as he looked at her in the eyes, creating such a familiar affectionate air around them.

"I know you may not care about others, but I do for you."

It didn't take them long to reach the stables and pegasi can be seen giving campers a ride for the lesson. Screams of joy can be heard from afar as each of them felt a continuous blast of wind to their faces. Luca took the moment to enjoy the sight of enrichment, but later focused on his older half-sister. It certainly has been a ride. They finally reached the treehouse and Luca sat cross-legged across from her. Inside the makeshift home is are arrays of rare species of flowers grown and maintained by the Demeter Cabin with the help of dryads. Animals made it its home too, but sometimes leaves a mess for others to clean.

"I've been spending time with my dad's farm. You know the routine. Help him grow his crops so he could earn a living, though we can't do that forever... so he's been hustling to get a career change with classes and stuff. Why don't you come with me next time? I'm sure he can accommodate you. We can go out to the nearest city which is, I don't know, twenty miles away."

  11. Luca was suddenly being dragged along with her hand firmly grabbing his wrist, but it was let go as soon as he was walking alongside her towards the forest. "Hmm... I don't know. I think I was thirteen when we met. It's a long time ago, so I don't really remember much. All I know is that we first met there, but maybe this visit could bring back memories." He felt something land on his shoulder, but he was unfazed by the eight-legged insect. Instead, he held a flat hand next to the shoulder so it could proceed to that hand and showcase it to himself. "Hey, little fella. Sorry my sister bothered you, but we're on our away to the treehouse. I'll put you on my shoulder, but you're free to ditch if you want." The child spoke and placed it back where it was when it first landed. Surprisingly, it stuck around. Luca began humming as well, in the same tune as Dawn's.

Meeting her allowed for him to see that she is the sister he never had and she became the first on the receiving end of his affections. There are times some campers thought they were dating... which is weird with them having the same godly parent. But really, they tend to be in sync. "I'm happy to see you, sis. How have you been? Sorry for leaving you alone."

  12. Luca was admiring the newly grown strawberries that was achieved using his god given gift when he could hear nearby footsteps thanks to the ruffling of the grass. He could already tell it was none other than one of his dear half-siblings simply because he had grown accustomed to her pranks. In turn, well, sometimes you have to fight fire with fire. Or not fire. He wouldn't want to burn nature's offspring. His suspicions were confirmed by her voice and by instinct, he managed to avoid pellets of dirt to his clothes with a roll to the side. His head lifted to meet her eyes, lips forming a grin as he stood up. He took a moment to examine, not judge, her current outfit which he knew it would be different every day - varies in color. He would be convinced she would be a child of Iris if she hadn't implied they were half-siblings.

Paying no mind to the fruits he had just grown and the dirt she just threw at him, he was nevertheless happy to see one of the few people who could stand his unusual way of thinking. Well, it was more like she understood him. "Erm... I forgot to write you back. Sorry." He was almost apologetic in that tone, but he does have a penchant of forgetting his priorities sometimes. "I've been here and there. I was going to see you but I spotted an un-grown strawberry so I used my power so it can catch up to the others." He shot a glance at her. "Then you ate it." Not that he was upset but the hand holding lifted his already lifted spirits. The prospect of their little adventures seemed bright. "Riiiiiight." Luca was playing along, even though the tone sounded sarcastic. "Oh yeah, want to go to our secret hiding spot?" In truth, it's really just the Demeter Cabin's hiding spot which is a tree house deep within the woods.

Their first meeting took place there.

  13. Luca had kept in touch with his half-sister outside of camp. @ Dawn De La Vega  is her name among the select few that he writes letters to - though sometimes he forgets to write back so his father had to be the one to tell him that someone wrote back. When the school year was ending, they decided to meet up on the strawberry fields and that is the first thing he would go to after putting his belongings in Demeter's Cabin. He did not bother to wear the usual orange tee but instead adorned a forest green tee with patterns of strawberries on it. Beige shorts covered his thighs and dress shoes touched camp soil, but he did not wear socks. The child of Demeter paraded towards the strawberry fields where the campers pick the fruits for them to sell and export to local restaurants and to Mount Olympus thanks to the joint effort between the Dionysus and his mother's Cabins. It's not just fruits that he liked to grow but flowers too as he liked to beautify the camp - which became a way to deal with his emotions.

As he walked on the open row, he admired the entire aesthetic of the field. Though when he gave a particular spot a closer inspection, he found a baby strawberry plant that he noticed was in need to grow. An index finger gently tapped onto it and it began to grow until it became like the rest as he hummed a happy tune. "There we go!" He sounded hype.

  14. Luca held no remorse for what he did and the lass's reaction did not stir him one bit. Many of his friends found this to be bizarre, others just plain annoying. The child cared little about what others think of him, but that could change depending on the person. His slow pace chewing returned to normal once she had expressed her intention to share with him in spite of the boy already having one. He'd normally be the one to hear an angry tone by now but he was happy that she did not raise her voice at him - at least, kind enough to even let it go. Once he finished his cookie, he drank the milk in question anyways, not minding whoever would come inside and claim that it was theirs. It was his need to quench his thirst after devouring that circle of sweetness and they could have not left it there if they actually wanted to drink it. But to find two things that were for two different people, he thought it was a bit amusing. He had no intention of apologizing for the milk since that person wasn't here.

"I came here to check in with a cabin leader since I'm sticking around for the holidays. The pavilion just... slipped my mind I suppose. What else were the dryads' serving out there?" Luca helped himself to another cookie to savor that same texture, flavor, and sweetness that he so loves while he was still curious about the camp's seasonal menu. Some of the crumbs fell on to his ugly sweater and he patted that spot so they fell again towards his jeans. It was barely noticeable to him and easily forgotten now that he's entered a conversation with the owner of the plate of cookies. It sat in the middle of the table while the half empty glass of milk was more on his side. "Thank you." He added, a bit he also felt like was missing. Even if it was too late, he felt it was better to say it now than never. "I'm Luca. What's your name? Are you sticking around for the holidays too?"

  15. Most bits of his social awareness had went away when as soon as he set his eyes on the plate of chocolate chip cookies. The smell was enticing enough but seeing it allowed the pastries to direct his hand to grab and munch on one. Crispy golden brown on the outside, tender and chewy inside with a pronounced brown sugar flavor, subtle butter, and vanilla notes in the background. Semi-sweet chocolate chips and overall temperature was warm, the perfect gooey texture of its kind, he believed. It didn't matter what sort of cookie he ate, but it was this one that hit the spot. He isn't confident that he could recreate the cookie at home, but there are times he and his father baked for themselves or others. With his father being a chef, Luca can be found helping out with preparing and cooking meals. It was the year that he first arrived at camp that the two of them started learning the art of baking. Tasting these cookies reminded him of the good times they had trying to get the perfect cookie, albeit the kitchen would wind up being a mess.

There was not anyone here he knows of that could bake confections of such caliber so he deduced that it was the work of the dryads with his siblings occupied with cabin decorating. He was enjoying some mere moments of bliss when a voice had interrupted him, prompting him to turn around to see who it was. Even though they were her cookies, he continued to chew albeit slowly. Someone who ate another's cookies by mistake would usually grow flustered but this young man was different. He just resumed eating as he stared at her with indifference and finally speaking up as soon as he finished chewing. "I'm not a Hermes kid. Though..." It was then that he found his action to be a bit rude. Not many people know this, but he can be a bit slow when it comes to social cues. "... Sorry. I didn't know. Could I have some though?" He asked nonchalantly with a smile. He already is aware this could produce bad habits, but it somehow slipped his mind. His tone slightly changed in the next moment. "Is this glass of milk yours? I want to ask before taking a sip." As if he hadn't eaten her cookie in the first place. It could likely he hers, but any sort of annoyance she was going to express would need to be clear for him to understand her feelings.
  16. "I'll see you later, Dad."

The young man spoke to the older man as he looked down at him. His father was still in his classic white 1974 Fiat Cinquecento looking up to his son with the window down. After exchanging a brief good bye, the two parted on the street and the one sporting an orange shirt seemed to be walking towards Delphi Strawberry Service, which really is nothing but a farm dedicated to growing produce depending on local demand with a peculiar specialty to grapes and strawberries. Though as the young man walked up the hill, it is not all what it seems to be. A pair of Doric columns stood before him, both of which are somewhat covered by vines that sprout from the rich, earthy soil. This could be the work of Dionysus, a child of Demeter, some other mythical power, or just the magic of nature. Craved on the frieze above is Camp Half-Blood with a Dalek font, a conspicuous display to anyone with an invitation to the area beyond the pillars. The young man could argue that they could do better with Ionic columns, but who would be willing to change to something that's been there for who knows long? Passing the entrance revealed to him is what he had expected to be a snowing landscape, but a thought occurred to him that only Mr. D could decide on the weather within the barriers. Nevertheless, having anything but bad weather and precipitation is almost reassuring.

When he visits camp every summer, this time of the year became an exception when his father went to go on a business trip. There was not as much campers as he had seen during those times, but he was glad he could stick around for the holidays. Approaching his mother's cabin, it was being decorated by some of his half-siblings. Lights were hung on the walls, socks with the names of every Demeter child, and many more on the oak tree. With an exchange in greetings and short conversation on the surprise visit, he decided to check in with a cabin leader in the Big House so that they know he's around.
  17. After his little reunion with Laney, the ragtag group of red team members decided to put their plan into a hold. A horde of myrmekes was coming their way so it was best to retreat to keep the kids safe. Nodding over to Azrael, he used some of his abilities to grow a dense vine wall in the cave mouth so they wouldn't get detected. Even if they did, they would have to get through his plants. By the time they break through, the group would be long gone. "Covered. Let's go." Luca grabbed his weapon that he had left on the floor near the snacks and ran from the mouth.

It's been sometime since they started walking. If it weren't for the dim lighting provided by the centuries old light fixtures and Azrael's presence, the group couldn't have been more comforted. Luca held Laney's hand with a firm grip and fingers interlocked; he was giving her a look of reassurance - to tell her that everything will be okay as long as they, no we stick together. The other hand held a makeshift weapon that he borrowed from a camper but he would be a lot more confident if he had his scythe with him.

  18. Luca could not help but bring about a wide eyed expression and a smile upon Laney's entrance. The last time they were together was not quite a sunshine memory but he was still glad that she is actively participating, considering the circumstances around her sister's passing. Placing the snacks down to the stones, he got up to embrace her in a hug so suddenly. It was firm, nothing too tight or loose - he just wanted to know how much he cared about her as if he had just dismissed what they were talking about. "I'm so glad to see you. Are you alright?" He had a hand softly planted a hand on her cheek before letting it hang on her shoulder, turning his head to Azrael's response. Smiling once more with the reiteration of using confections as strategy terms and suddenly promoting the children to generals.

"So I act as their advisor." He began. Even the notion of that would surprise many. "So we have traps laid out near the flag. We can't make traps around it so it's more convenient to lead them to it. That's where I come it. I use myself as a distraction while Octavia runs for the flag. I have Azrael escort the generals to get the flag back to our base. With the luck of all three of them... we might have a shot in this thing. If you want to help, it'll bring nothing but reassurance to us winning. I'm sure..." He glanced over to the kids and then to the older man who was looking out. "... we need it." He paused. "Thanks for finding us. We need the help we can get to steal that flag. It means a lot to me."

"So what do you think? You in?"

  19. Luca was occupied tending to his mother's cabin, cleaning up while everyone else is gone. It just dawned on him that he would like to do this and take initiative but if someone else asks him to do it, he changes the subject. But to clean up a grassy floor can only be done if you treat it like it's your lawn. He took the time to take out the weeds. They may be grass inside a goddess's cabin but they're still grass. Then he took care of the plants in the front porch and plucked some tomatoes from the vines to make the walls look cleaner. The tomatoes grown here would either be given to the dryads for food preparation or to be sold along with their abundance to restaurants. It's safe to say that the entire cabin is practically a green house when whatever is grown here is given ample sunlight and protection from pests. Though as he was cleaning, there was something that he always felt he was forgetting since he woke up this morning. In a calendar hung near his bunk bed is a note in front of the today's date.

    Fireworks Night w Laneyand friends.

The note is surrounded by little ornaments in no part to his burst of creativity. It was obvious he was looking forward to it but all it takes is one look at it before he can be aware of what he was forgetting. Once he finished making his bed, a glance was finally shot over the calendar and bringing about a wide eyed expression. "That's right! Today was the fireworks day." Quickly getting dressed into his beach clothes, he left the cabin in quite a hurry and pranced towards the beach.

  20. After having a hand in fending off the blue team campers, he decided he wanted to contribute to defending the flag. The boy sprinted across the forest, with each step allowing him to have greater awareness once he passed the creek. It would be easier to just use teleportation... but there could be a moment when it needed his magic. Within ten yards of the flag, he was approaching until he stopped his tracks when he heard voices. He could see it right there but the two men are about to fight. He edged closer as he was curious as to what they were talking about instead of playing the game. What's so important if the flag is right there? Luca wanted to know.

Wait a second. Azrael? He knew he wouldn't hesitate to grab the flag when he saw the opportunity but he didn't. He kept on talking with that older Hecate child, with every word filled with mal-intentions. With the planning of Operation Cupcake, he thought he was a good man to kids but this is side he hasn't seen. What could make of his man that could bring it out? After he eavesdropped, one of them was finally going to make a move. It was the other guy as he was about to lunge towards him with his blade. But just when he was about to get close, Luca grew vines around his legs and have them wrapped around them. When he showed himself, the vines began to tighten. Even if that man we're to cut them down, more would grow. "Azrael!" He called out to him. "I'm here to help. Sorry I took so long." It was half a truth when he was hiding nearby to hear all that tea.

  21. Luca more than welcomed Octavia's inquiry about dryads. It's not every day people ask him though it is assumed that every camper knows because there is an entire forest within the boundary. Pondering as his fingers fiddled with the snacks inside the snack bag, he began to elaborate. "So a dryad are spirits of the trees you see around camp. Hmm, not every tree has a spirit and they are usually female. They're beautiful and they live as long as their tree does. They are also the ones who provide the camp food." What he spoke may seem like basic camper knowledge but he learned this by speaking with them rather than from another camper. He always had this... affinity for plants and he wanted to extend to trees and that's how he met the wood nymphs.

"could teleport to lead them to the traps. They won't know what we have in store for them. So once the traps did their magic, that makes the flag easy game. Why don't we have... Octavia run back with the flag? She could use all the luck she needs while the rest of us stall the enemy to keep them from touching her. Azrael and I, we'll hold them off and Derrick will accompany her. With their combined luck, our kids will have our point secured." There was confidence in his tone and Luca felt smart just by putting two and two together. "And yes, we all do. I'll have the dryads make the food extra delicious for us." He could not help but giggle at the thought.

  22. After finishing up some snacks, he felt much better than he was ten minutes ago. The boy approached the makeshift table and sat crossed legged near it so he can get a better view of the map where it's indicators are snack food. "I wish I could." He gave Azrael a look of uncertainly. "I could use vines to trip them or wrap their ankles to pull them off the ground. I certainly can't grow specific plants near them because they would arouse suspicion. I heard one of my half-siblings has this ability over earth but that's one you don't come across often. Could be useful to make pitfalls though." He suggested. Even if he wanted to, he was not too confident in putting in energy on an ability he knows he does not have.

"Honestly, I haven't tried it yet but I think the farther I get the more energy it drains out of me. I don't think I can teleport cross country to near some plant that's growing in California." The thought made him chuckle but it would nonetheless be a miraculous feat. "So if you guys want me to teleport... make it count." He nodded, giving them his approval to add teleportation to the plan.

  23. "Archery range?" He inquired for the moment as it seems he could not recall what it meant to her. But before she could respond, the boy became wide-eyed. "That's right. You love the sport, I remember now." Luca was not aware of her business in there but he did not mind as he felt she grew happy from frequently attending their classes. So when she decided to show off one day, she almost hit a bull's eye from several meters away. The awesome sight made him clap as he was not exactly made for combat either but he preferred close contact over range since his plants can make up that range. Wood carving classes with the satyr is one of the leisure classes he wound up enjoying because he can somehow sense a precise location of wood. So if he ever felt like carving wood, that is where his ability comes to use. It seems like the both of them are in good hands when they are not talking about a class they are not reluctant on attending.

"Aw man. Just let me know if you need help and I'll convince my dad to drop me off." Luca became rather restless because of the rare monster activity back home. Upon hearing that mortal technology is how the monsters reach demigods, he even suggested to his father that they move to the city just so he can fight monsters more often. He wanted to like fighting monsters but he began to feel that life in the farm is getting dull. Why are other demigods facing monsters when he is like... once a month kind of thing. Luca is perhaps one of the few campers that are eager to face one and he hasn't even seen most of them. To make it up, he took the time to cultivate his abilities granted to him by his mother and continued despite facing some shortcomings as a result of using them like overgrowing the crops.

When the pair entered the forest, Luca became distracted by the leaves rustling that he thought one of the dryads were calling him so he parted from his half-sister as she began her response. With slow steps that were somehow inaudible to her chatting, his head was tilted up as the clouds moved like molasses in the empyrean skies. Nope. Taniara isn't here. Or Lily. Luca pursed his lips. He was looking forward to seeing them again, but his eyes were latched onto a sunflower that happened to grow near the roots of a nearby tree. Leaning down to grab it, he yanked it off from the soil and returned back to Dahlia with the flower in hand - unaware that he had left her mid conversation.

"I love it here too. I found a sunflower nearby. I don't usually see this growing inside the forest.

  24. Luca certainly helped himself to some of the snacks that were laid out by his teammate. He did not think he was starving until he saw them but perhaps he had been too occupied with the state of the battle. Flags are being taken back and forth it was almost hard to keep track. The boy approached the pile of stones and leaned down to see what looked like baked cupcakes. The smell of frosting tingled his nostrils, each a different color per cupcake while each cupcake seemed to be made with a different batter. Good enough for him - he had always liked a variety. Except raisin cookies. Listening to Octavia talk did nothing but further enriched her sunny disposition which did remind him of his younger self. She seemed to be more relax despite being in this game and it is something he could learn so he could at least function better as a player. "I can move plants, yeah. Hm, sometimes I talk to the trees either. They can tell me what the weather it is like up there." He paused with a grin. "I'm kidding, sorry. I can't do it unless I want to offend the dryads." Listening to her story, he was a bit envious at her luck of her father not finding her. Luca couldn't even sit still so his restlessness is what always got him found in the first place.

It was his first time meeting Derrick and he seemed like a good chap but that was all he could get from his reaction to him teleporting. "I can teleport through plants. I can;'t explain the "science" of it but I know that anywhere there is a plant whether it is grass or weeds, then I can go from point A to point B instantaneously. Consider it a perk of having plant magic." The boy elaborated.

"Ah yeah. Those teams. I'll have you know- Bella should have ended up with Jacob. He's sweet and kind while that other guy is manipulative! What's his name? Edward! I can't believe this." Crossing his arms, he shook his head in disapproval, only to look at the three of them with a gleeful smile. "Right, off topic. I stand with chocolate chip."

"Hmm..." With Azrael being the core distraction, Luca thought he could attempt to keep the enemy at bay so the kids could have a chance at snagging the flag themselves instead of him just teleporting close to it and take it for himself. "How about when you have their attention, I can have my plant friends render them immobile. They won't move for a couple seconds but I can devote my role to stall them so I can have you two get the flag for yourselves. Derrick can help by setting traps nearby so the chase won't start out good because they fell into a hole or something. I can help with trap prep too.
