Each camper that came through those doors, were always different and not in a bad way but in a way that kept the cabin leaders on their toes. But this girl in particular seemed to be a very literal and factual one. Laughing he nodded "Yes that is true, we do have better food in the dining hall. The Dryads prepare a delicious assortment of  barbecue, grapes, apples, strawberries, cheese, and fresh bread so we do have healthier things." Hoping this might make her feel better about taking a cookie. It wasn't as if they ran off just cookies here but a lot of campers did love them! It wasn't long after when he saw her take one.....good he thought to himself. With all the craziness of travel it was a good treat to give the new campers. 

Seeing that she was straight to the point he nodded to let her continue as it seemed this girl was on a mission! But how old was she? She couldn't be older than 13 of course but for one so young she seemed so on top of things. "Wow that is a question to start with" he said laughing as most who came into the big house for their first time wouldn't even even know where to begin. "So I guess Barnaby said it dealt with magic which is true. I mean I am not sure how the magic works but do know what it can do. Like cure any living thing, resurrection, magical protection like our borders, it causes plants to grow, and can shapeshift if needed" he said thinking hard about this. It wasn't as if he thought we was going to get a lore test!!!! 

But upon this she pulled out a notebook that had things scribbled in it. Trying to look over on the page it seemed like a lot of writing and drawings. Making him smirk as he took a cookie himself. Leaning back he relaxed "Sooo did he tell you about the God's having mount Olympus above the empire state building?" he chimed in to see where she wanted to go with this conversation next.

James just watched his best friend as she made her way into his room. Seeing her plop down on his bed had him laugh a little. Life was not easy so it was moments like this he knew it was good they had each other. It seemed the recent appears of both Azrael and Shadow were a bit too much for Lilythe to handle. James knew that Amber came back it would be a problem, so he could only imagine the turmoil that she would be feeling once Shadow kissed her. James had been personally cheering for Azrael to win her heart as he was a solid half-blood. "Wow" he got out while pausing to think as she put the pillow over her face. If all that wasn't enough it seems that her and Azrael did indeed get a bit more personal with each other. He thought his friend had looked a bit more happier after coming back from the date with Lilythe.

"I am glad I am not you" he joked with her as he looked at her sympathetic eyes. "But what do you want? " He said trying to look at her in her eyes. "That is what matters! The boys can fight all they want but when it comes to it. You are a grown Demi-God who can decide which man she wants for herself." This might not be an easy decision for her as their was history with both men. So it might take some time!!!!

Poor James just wanted to have a simple game of Volleyball but like all things at this camp....things were never that simple. He had been distracted by Dustin coming to join the group. He nodded to Krystal the other cabin leader of Nike with a smile. It was good to see her talking to Dustin once again as the boy hadn't been the same without her! But with anything things began to go into chaos as Theo the boy who knows no bounds started to flirt with Helena. "Theo don't" he tried to say but it was too late. The boy seemed to always take things to a ten if he could which is when he noticed Mateo walking over. "SHIT" he said as Mateo threw a punch........running his hands through his hair he was worried how Lilythe was going to take this! Not to mention Mr. D. 

"Everyone just calm down" he called out as Evelyn was being her dramatic self once more. Shaking his head he saw that Gael, TJ and Evelyn were taking the boy to the big house. Things were still a mess so why did he even try anymore???? But his head snapped to the side of the courts when he heard a clap....CRAP!

His gazed turns towards the God he knew would be there as always at the worst time. The God was as he always was found with his diet coke in toe. "It is James and I I I tried sir...but you know how the campers are" he tried to stutter out as he hoped he would not get put on latrine duty! "If you say so sir?" He said back to Mr. D who had called the punch a foul.....well i guess it sort of was.

Shaking his head he knew he needed to get the group of them settled into the game. Okay TJ had made the suggestion of Girl God children on one side and the males on the other. Counting he started to figure out what that would make the teams. "Everyone EYES ON ME" he called out before naming the teams.

Team 2: James Selway, Samantha Adams, Helena L' Amour, Mateo Sanz, Katie Rose

Calling out the names for what team, he would add them more as they joined.

James was happy to hear Helena was going to be careful and had a plan if things were not like she wanted them to be. Laughing he did agree that "Yes that does make it a bit more challenging but your secret is safe with me" he patted his chest smiling at her. The girl had enough on her plate with Mateo then to worry about what he was going to do with what he now knew! "Good" he feeling much better, but time had come for him to get the Pegasus ready for the class he would be teaching later. "Well I got to get them Pegasus ready but I will see you later Helena!"  Giving her a smile he walked through the stalls getting them all ready, one by one as the campers would soon be getting out of bed to find their way here.

James was there for not too long when he saw the first person to arrive which was Gael. "Hey" he called back as he smiled a bit "Come on over, we shouldn't have to wait too long for the others to join" he joked around with him. Well he wasn't wrong as MK and Theo both joined in. They had arrived around the same time and said the same thing that it made him smirk. Ohhhh those two were very competitive so it should make things a bit more fun! "Yes it should be fun and it is good to see you two."  The camp was one filled with many campers who stayed year around or even just for the holidays. So having this little fun thing to do together was a lot of fun. 

"No worries Samantha, we haven't started just yet" he reassured her. Before looking around at all who had gathered. "If you are playing then stand on the court and if not then to the side please!" 

James was happy to see so many different campers here at camp this winter. Knowing that the weather was always so nice at camp because of the magical fleece. It was short and t-shirt weather even in the dead of winter. Smiling he knew this was going to be a very fun event for all those who joined. Some might even come to just watch the game on the side lines. Walking out to the court which was to the side of the big house. James began to stretch to get limber up as he knew if any of the nike kids were joining, then it would be a tough game indeed.

Looking out he wondered who would join and who would win! Maybe with the help of his mom, he might have a bit of luck on his side for his team! Jame was still pretty young but these teens can move a bit faster than he can at times. He wanted to make sure to bring his A game!

James was in the big house as it was his time again to man the front desk. He had gotten away to Spain with Arsen over the Holidays which was nice for a change. The two had hit the town for drinks, dancing and much more fun. Arsen had been such a good friend that he even got James some records while he was over there. Putting the record player behind the front desk, he was closing his eyes and jamming out to some of the artist he found. James might not be a child of Apollo but that did not stop him from loving music with all of his being! 

Hearing the sound of the door open he opened his eyes to see a young girl standing in front of the desk with her hands together. Smiling he nodded to her as she spoke. Laughing when she said the words logistical points he got up. Standing tall he stretch and towered over the girl. "Welllllllcome Penelope" he said as he finished his stretch. "My name is James Selway, I am a son of Tyche and a cabin leader here at Camp Half-Blood" Going around the desk he waved her to follow him, "Take a seat over here on the couch and I will grab us some cookies" he said with his clam, chill vibes he always seemed to give off. Grabbing the plate that had just been made not even an hour ago he walked back placing them on the table before taking his own seat.

James could not help himself but laugh when she called him kid. "Asher" he laughed more "I am older than you, maybe by only 9 months but still" he smiled at her genuinely. He didn't take offence. Honestly she acted a lot older than he but then again he didn't have a giant business empire to run. That had taken her away from the camp quite often. "Well most just ask about you.....like where are you when you aren't here or ask me what were you like when you were younger." He said this not to make her feel any sort of guilt but just to show they cared for her. "Loukas in particular has been curious about how to approach you." James looked down at the meal he was preparing as it was going by so fast. Pulling the meal off the stove he put it to the side as he grabbed some plates. Putting some on both he had a hard look on his face. "Yes it is hard.....it is hard to know we will never be enough for them or that they will continue this until the end as we all know it." Placing the plates on the table he looked at her as he turned back around. 

Taking a seat at the table he listened to her talk about Disney. "Well I haven't but I have heard it is the most magical place on earth" he laughed as he patted the table for her to join him to eat. "We could go there!!!! I am up for it if you are. We can do whatever you heart wants! If that is ride rides then that or even get ears and have all the snacks." James might not have been but when he was dating amber, it was all she talked about at times. She was obsessed with the place but james just never had the money to take her. 

James knew a lot about creatures, lore and of the Gods, but he was still so new to exploring the world like Arsen had done! Which is one of the many reasons he was happy to have him by his side on this trip. The guy knew his way around almost anywhere they had been. Like traveling had been second nature to him. Listening to him talk about the plane food made him nod as if he understood the experience Arsen had had in his life. Which wasn't entirely true as he had only been out of the country a few times in his 22 years of existence. "Right then I will change into similar things" he said with a smirk. 

Disappearing he went to change into a pair of black jeans with a white shirt and a brown jacket. His hair had been tamed with some palmate and his beard trimmed to a stylish look. Feeling swave,  he walked out of his room to the main room to find Arsen. "Ready when you are" he said 

James did not know what he did to bring such a beautiful and wonderful woman like Rissa into his life, but he would not mess it up this time! As Rissa sucked on his member all he could do was moan as it felt so good. But this was just going to be the beginning of the night as he had so much planned! This sibling died in the war that claimed so many lives. But their memory would not die if he could help it. As James looked at Asher, he could himself filled with compassion towards his friend. He knew that it might be hard to think about things or even process it but in the long run he knew it would help her. "Well just know I am always here for you Asher. I" he paused for a moment as he thought about it "I might not be able to help you with your business but I am here to listen. I am your friend as I have been since I met you." He said hoping she would trust in what he said. Being alone was never fun. Glad to hear that she was working with Tristan with her magic. "Good your half-siblings would love to get to know you and Arsen. I know they tell me all the time." 

Wanting to have a bit of fun with Asher like he was going to with Arsen. He thought of the first thing that came to his mind which was an amusement park. "Ohhhhh so much, there are rides and food.......I mean it is known as one of the best places to go for fun....other than Disney World." He laughed thinking about Asher wearing some mickey ears with a mickey ice cream bar in her hand. If he had the money he would take her there for some fun but Cedar point was closer plus a lot more affordable. 

With losing his family so young, James never really had the typical experiences in life. He had grown up at camp from the age of ten where he was thrust into the wars happening. Learning to fight by the side of his friends, James had made some really good friends! But he never got to experience life like some of the others might have. As he looked over as Arsen, he was thankful for the friends he did have which he could call his family. He might have been alone in the world without the other Demi-gods but now he was traveling the world with one. 

Spain was beautiful and that was only the little he had gotten to see just now. He knew in the days to come there would be so much more that he would get to experience and do which would blow his mind. Feeling Arsen's hand pat his shoulder he turned to look at him. "I am definitely hungry for sure, I am not sure I ate too much on the plane. It didn't agree with my stomach." Wondering what type of food they would get to experience, it was as his mouth began to respond as he salviated a bit. Not enough to drool but to know he was very hungry!!!! "Sounds good to me" he said as he turned to go back to his things. He needed to find something a bit nicer to put on but what? "What are you going to wear? "

James was excited to take Rissa on an adventure out of the camp after getting back from his adventures with Arsen. The boys had been out in Europe having a blast, but he missed Rissa the entire time. Sending her Iris messages the whole time so we could just get a glimpse of her beautiful face. But tonight he was taking her out on a date to New York City where they would be going ice skating at Rockefeller Center. 

He had picked her up at her cabin before taking a taxi from the edge of the boundary line into the city which did not take too long. Having it stop in Time Square. Jumping out of the car he rushed over to get Rissa's door. Hoping to treat her every step of the way. With a smile of excitement on his face. He didn't know how much Rissa had ever been ice skating in her life. The snow was slowly falling around the city as the temperatures were pretty cold. James had layered up to make sure he was good this evening. "Your evening is about to get festive" he said excitedly.

What would she think of this date idea? Guess he was about to find out!

Life of being a demi-god was one full of pain and misery but today he would change the course of his life as he choose to be happy. Even if Rissa didn't want to be with him, he would know that he gave it all he got. But that bad thought was wiped from his mind as she hold him of course she loved him. This gave him the courage to ask her what he had been wanting to ask her since the day the two had become complicated all those years ago. Holding his breathe he watched her ask if he wanted to make it official which he nodded looking longingly at her. The words YES came out of her mouth which made his heart soar through the sky. 

Finding himself wrapping his arms around her as she did the same, the kiss on his cheek felt like a kiss from the sun, warm and life giving. He then spun her around once more as he held her tight. "I got you something" he said with excitement to see her reaction. Putting her back down he reached in his pocket, pulling out the box with the ring in it. "I want you to know how serious I am about this" he said with so much happiness. Opening the box the ring was inside that he held out to Rissa "This is a promise ring that you are the one and only to me and that I will love always." He was hoping she would love the ring as it reminded him of her which is why he had it made for her. 

James knew that he enjoyed spending time with the campers, he just hoped they enjoyed it back as he tried to come up with fun things to do. Making sure to hold the canoe steady for Katie as she got in he did the same as he had done this many times. Thinking back he knew the faces of the older campers that had been this person for him as he grew up at camp. He was thankful for them and missed them quite a lot lately as he wished they were around to help him out. "Thanks Katie" he said as he grabbed a paddle. 

Turning to give Katie his smile he hoped this would soothe her of any worries. "Okay together we paddle okay? We can take it nice and slow if you like." he tried to make sure she knew it was going to be okay. As he began to slowly paddle through the calm lake. The air was one of stillness as he began to speak "So Katie, how was your first summer here at camp?" He wanted to give her the space to talk about the things she might have liked or disliked. It was a lot to take in after all!

James smiled at Rissa as she told him she wanted anything. Nodding he knew what to get her then. Turned he saw Arsen and Asher join the group, happy to see his favorite twins. He called out to Arsen about their trip, which he was getting so excited about. Lilythe then gave her speech which everyone wished her a happy birthday but then he turned back to Arsen.  "Wow Arsen, thank you for doing all that. I will start thinking of where I want to go next then. We are going to have a blast my friend" he said with the wild smile on his face. The thought of adventure was thrilling to him, plus having a travel buddy to go off on these adventures made it even better. This would be good time with Arsen that he would enjoy. The two of them went way back, as they had gotten claimed around the same time. 

That was when Vi showed up "VI you are back" he said excitedly!!! Man this party was one to remember for sure as all his friends were there. It sort of made him feel very sentimental as it had been some time when all of them were together again. Walking to the bar he smiled at Azrael and then looked to Shadow. Nodding to Shadow before he looked to Azrael who was passing out shot for the toast. Taking two he then brought one back to Rissa.  

From the outside Asher seemed like she had it all together all the time, but James wondered if the girl just wanted to let her hair down and have fun. He had his suspicions! They all had their stories, which James was always there to listen to anyone who talked to him. He was sort of like the go to person. As he watched Asher, he wondered if he could do anything for his friend. To help her have a bit of fun and relax! I mean he didn't know what the girl liked to do for fun but maybe he could give her some options and then they could go do that activity she picked! 

Magic was something he knew little about, but he did know Asher. She was a determined woman who stop at nothing to figure it out. "Well have you talked to any of your siblings? Maybe some of them can help" he suggestion. He knew the twins were never really around much so it was hard for them to get to know their other half siblings. But maybe one of them could tell her the things they knew which could lead her to the solution! That was when Asher seemed to understand where he was coming from with his issues. "Doesn't that get tiring Asher? Or even lonely?" he asked her hoping she knew that he was there for her. Just as she had been there to listen for him. "Heyyyyy I got an idea, want to ummmm go to Ohio and go to Cedar Point? Screw the business and this camp for a bit and let us go have a bit of fun. What do you say asher?" All James wanted to do in this moment was for his friend to relax and have fun.
