  1. Kenna felt a surge of gratitude as Aaron's healing touch spread over her, the warmth seeping into her body, soothing the ache in her muscles. She let out a relieved sigh, the pain gradually disappeared. Her gaze shifted from Aaron to Samantha, who stood nearby, remorse etched across her face. Kenna's heart was full of empathy as she knew this wasn't done on purpose. From what she knew about Samantha that was not in her character at all!!! With a gentle smile, Kenna nodded, her voice filled with understanding. "I forgive you, Samantha," she replied, her words carrying a tinge of empathy. "We all make mistakes, and it takes courage to admit them. Just promise me that you will think about this when we train together again." A soft giggle came out of her mouth as she looked up at her.  With Aaron's healing nearly complete, Kenna took a step forward, her hand reaching out to Samantha. "It is okay I promise" she reassured her. "Come on lets go get some food" she smiled at her friend as they left together.

  2. Kenna's heart continued to race as she engaged in conversation with Annie, her nerves threatening to overwhelm her. Annie's smile and genuine interest in her words brought a surge of gratitude and relief. Kenna couldn't help but feel a sense of comfort in Annie's presence, despite her initial apprehension. Annie mentioned her own interest in visiting the forges, Kenna's blush deepened. Annie's cool demeanor and apparent experience made Kenna feel even more self-conscious about her own skills. She listened attentively to Annie's words, finding herself intrigued by the idea of showing her around the forge. Kenna's shyness caused her to lower her gaze, feeling a mixture of embarrassment and joy. It was a small victory for her to have someone express interest in her work. "That would be cool, I........I could show you my work and maybe could work on a....was it a spear you like?"

  3. Kenna's heart was pounding so fast as talking to new people always got her that way. Kenna asked her question, her voice timid yet hopeful. Annie returned her look with a genuine smile, and Kenna felt a rush of gratitude for her reaching out and offering guidance. As Annie introduced herself to Kenna felt a flutter of nerves but managed to respond with a shy smile. What if this girl didn't like her or if she sounded dumb saying stuff about herself????? Pushing through this all she then began to speak up. "I'm Kenna. I'm fairly new here, actually. Hephaestus claimed me not too long ago, and I've been mostly working in the forges. But I want to improve my fighting skills too," Kenna explained, feeling a surge of vulnerability. She paused for a moment before adding, "Thank you for your help. It means a lot to me." A blush came across her face as she looked at Annie. She must be older than her plus she seemed a lot cooler too!

  4. Kenna's palms grew sweaty as she continued to struggle with her sword movements, her eyes downcast, trying to hide her frustration. The instructor's words of guidance barely registered in her ears as her mind was filled with self-doubt. But amidst her struggle, a soft voice reached her ears, offering advice that seemed both authoritative and compassionate. Startled, Kenna looked around, trying to identify the source of the voice. Her gaze landed on a girl with fiery determination in her eyes, hidden within the shadows. It took Kenna a moment to recognize her as Annie, one of the campers who always seemed confident and skilled in combat. Feeling a mixture of gratitude and apprehension, Kenna hesitated for a moment before giving Annie's advice a try. She straightened her posture, adjusted her grip, and attempted the swing once more. Surprisingly, the movement felt a bit more controlled, a touch more purposeful. "Thanks....do you have any more tips?" she asked shyfully.

  5. Kenna nervously entered the weapon fighting class at Camp Half-Blood, her heart pounding with both excitement and anxiety. She glanced around the spacious training arena, taking in the sight of campers eagerly practicing their combat skills. The sound of clashing blades and the occasional cheer filled the air, making her feel even more self-conscious about her own abilities. Trying to remain inconspicuous, Kenna moved to the back of the class, hoping to blend in with the crowd. She tucked a loose strand of hair behind her ear, feeling the familiar smell of metal in the air.

As the instructor, a seasoned demigod, started explaining the basics of weapon fighting, Kenna's attention shifted nervously from him to her fellow campers. They all seemed so skilled, their movements fluid and confident. Doubt crept into her mind, whispering that she would never be as good as them. Taking a deep breath, Kenna adjusted the grip on her training sword and attempted to mimic the instructor's stance. But her movements felt clumsy and awkward. Each swing of the blade seemed to lack the finesse she witnessed in the others. She couldn't help but wonder if she belonged in this class at all.

  6. Samantha's comforting words resonated with Kenna, offering a glimmer of solace amidst the pain. She clung onto Samantha's support, grateful for her presence and determination to find help. As they approached the Apollo cabin, Kenna's body throbbed with each step, the weight of her injuries becoming more apparent. She admired Samantha's strength, knowing that carrying her injured form was no easy task. With a surge of relief, the Apollo cabin loomed before them, its radiant emblem of Apollo serving as a beacon of hope. Kenna's heart fluttered with anticipation, yearning for the healing touch of the cabin's residents. Samantha guided her towards the entrance, their steps slow and careful. Kenna leaned on Samantha, finding reassurance in their unspoken connection.

"We're here, Kenna," Samantha whispered, her voice filled with determination as she knocked on the door. Kenna winced, her injuries protesting with every movement. She hoped desperately that someone would answer, that the healing hands she sought would be waiting on the other side. The seconds stretched, anxiety growing within Kenna's chest. Finally, the sound of footsteps echoed from inside the cabin, and a surge of hope washed over Kenna. She straightened her posture as much as she could, preparing to face whoever appeared at the door. "Hi" she choked out at first "Can someone in the cabin heal me, I got hurt" she winced as took in who it was.  As the door creaked open, Kenna's eyes met the gaze of a tall figure with golden hair and warm eyes. It was Aaron, a son of Apollo renowned for his healing abilities. Relief flooded through Kenna, and she mustered a weak smile as Aaron's concerned gaze shifted from Samantha to her. She silently prayed for a swift resolution to her pain."What happened?" Aaron's voice was filled with compassion as he focused his attention on Kenna, his healer instincts taking over

  7. Kenna's eyes flickered with a mixture of pain and surprise as Samantha's hand gently rested on her shoulder. She listened to Samantha's remorseful words, feeling a wave of understanding wash over her. The intensity in Samantha's gaze mirrored the regret that churned within Kenna's own heart. I mean she did ask her to not hold back and she did just that. How could she ever be mad at her or even upset? Touched by Samantha's genuine concern, Kenna mustered a small, weary smile. "Samantha, it's not entirely your fault," she replied softly, her voice carrying a hint of vulnerability. "I wanted to prove myself, and I pushed myself too hard. But I appreciate your honesty and the fact that you care."

She gingerly shifted her weight, testing her ability to stand. One....two....three times she tried.  While the pain gnawed at her, she managed to find her footing, albeit unsteadily. "I think I can manage," Kenna replied, accepting Samantha's offered hand for support. As they began to move, she continued, her voice a whisper filled with determination. "I mean....we can find an apollo camper and I will be okay....right?" With only being at camp less than a year she was still learning things from what they could and could not heal from. Kenna stopped to look at Samantha "Where do we even go? The big house?" she asked wondering if this was where the apollo camper would be to help her. Or would they just cut to the chase and go to the apollo cabin where all of the campers might be!

  8. Kenna stood opposite Samantha, her wooden sword clutched tightly in her hands. She watched as Samantha assumed a ready stance, her eyes focused and determined.  Samantha lunged forward, her wooden sword slicing through the air with precision. Kenna's reflexes kicked in, and she managed to raise her sword just in time, deflecting Samantha's first strike. The impact reverberated through her arms, but she held her ground, refusing to let go of her determination. She had seen Samantha's moves before, and she tried her best to anticipate the next attack.

Samantha pressed on, her attacks coming in a relentless barrage. Kenna focused all her energy on blocking, dodging, and countering whenever she found an opening. But it soon became overwhelming for her as every blow was then striking her one after another. Kenna knew she told Samantha not to hold back but this was to the max she thought. That is when she flew back as Samantha did her last big blow on Kenna. The young camper had not a chance in this world against this older Athena camper. The pain was all over her body from the many hits that Samantha landed on her. If this had been a real battle...she would be dead!

Kenna lay on the ground, struggling to catch her breath. The impact had knocked the wind out of her, and pain throbbed through her body. She looked up at Samantha, tears welling up in her eyes. Despite the pain, she managed a weak smile. "I'm... I'm okay," she gasped, her voice shaky. "It was... my fault too. I wanted to experience... what it's really like." Kenna took a deep breath, willing herself to push past the pain. "Thank you... for pushing me. I want to be strong, like you." Maybe they should go get an apollo camper to heal her???? Was she dying??? Or even really injured?

  9. Kenna couldn't help but chuckle at Penelope's wide-eyed amazement and her attempt to process the newfound realization that there was more to their world than met the eye. She took a step closer to her sister, placing a reassuring hand on her shoulder. "Welcome to Cabin Nine, Penelope," she said, her voice filled with genuine warmth. "You're one of us now, and trust me, there's so much more to figure out." Kenna thought back to last  year when she arrived all surprised and new. It was her older siblings that took her in under their wing to get her to the place where she was at today. Luckily for her, her mom was talented jewelsmith that she had helped out. But weapons were different than jewelry.

As they stood at the entrance, Kenna glanced around the cabin, her eyes taking in the familiar sights—the workbenches, the tools, the unfinished projects waiting to be brought to life. The familiar scent of oil and metal filled the air, and it felt like home. She turned her gaze back to Penelope, her smile growing wider. "This is where we forge our destinies, where we harness our abilities and learn from one another. It's a place of creativity and strength." Kenna could sense Penelope's mixed emotions. She knew that feeling all too well. It was a lot to take in, but Kenna was determined to be there for her sister every step of the way. "You'll learn to control your powers, to understand the intricate workings of machines and shape them to your will," she reassured Penelope. "And we'll be here to guide you, to support you. You're part of a family now, Penelope, and together, we'll face whatever challenges come our way."

With that, Kenna stepped into the cabin, waving for Penelope to follow her. "Come on, let's explore our new home. There's so much to see and learn. And trust me, it only gets more amazing from here."

  10. Kenna listened attentively to Elena's words, feeling a mix of relief and excitement. It was comforting to hear that her friend was okay and that her mom was fine. She nodded when Elena mentioned being introduced to her friends and showing her around the camp. "Of course! I'd love to introduce you to everyone and show you around. We can relive some of our old camp memories," Kenna replied with a smile, feeling a sense of nostalgia. As Elena asked about her activities, Kenna's eyes lit up. Happy to share all that she had been doing as she was proud of the progress she had been making.  "Yes, I've been spending a lot of time in the forge, honing my skills. Making weapons has become my passion. I've been working on improving my techniques and learning from the experienced campers. It's been challenging, but I'm making progress, maybe I can make you something if you like" she explained proudly.

Kenna's gaze shifted to Elena's tired eyes, realizing how exhausted she must be after the journey. "You should rest and regain your energy. We have plenty of time to catch up and explore the camp together," she suggested, concerned for her friend's well-being. Looking at the inside of the cabin she was shocked how they ever woke up being inside the cabin as it looked like the best place to sleep. "How do you wake up???"

  11. Kenna couldn't help but feel like the youngest camper in her cabin. Not saying that age mattered but she had just gotten to camp, meaning she was just learning all this stuff for the first time. She knew she had a lot to learn, especially when it came to making weapons and armor. She had always been fascinated by the craftmanship of her siblings, but never felt like she could measure up to them. As she practiced with Samantha, she couldn't help but feel like she was still lagging behind.  She wanted to make her siblings proud and show them that she was just as skilled as they were. But Kenna also knew that she needed to be patient with herself. She was still young and had plenty of time to hone her skills. She reminded herself that everyone had to start somewhere and that even the most talented demigods had to put in the time and effort to improve. With that thought in mind, she continued to practice, determined to become the best she could be.

Kenna ran over to where the wooden swords were stored, eager to spar with Samantha. She grabbed two swords and tossed one to Samantha. Taking a deep breath, she stood at attention, ready to begin. "Don't go easy on me okay?" She called to her with big eyes. "If I am to learn what its like to fight a monster then you got to prepare me." Kenna knew that monsters were not so easy to be killed.

  12. Kenna was watching her newly claimed younger half sister. Deep down, Kenna hope the two of them would become good friends as they had many years ahead of them at camp right? From everything that people talked about, having a life as a demi-god was dangerous. It was one that was filled with danger in every step of the way. But right now, Kenna smiled as her eyes watched her sister sigh and put her hand on the door. Hoping she wasn't going to give up. Her hands were clasped in front of her as she held them tightly together. Thinking in her head YOU GOT THIS SIS!

That was when she noticed the girl was moving her hands which meant she had this. Of course telling someone to feel a machine was strange but for them in cabin 9 it worked! "YOU DID IT" she jumped up and down with a cheer. The look on her face was one of how proud she was of Penelope. She could help her half sister was super surprised as well. "wasn't that super cool" she said as the door opened more for them.

  13. Being one of the newer campers to the cabin, Kenna was still a bit more reserved than most. Feeling like she had so much to prove to her dad and to herself. Finding out you are a demi-god was a big deal. It felt like her life was almost a bigger deal as if it had a bigger meaning than most. Her father was a great builder of machines and worker of metal. Some of these traits passed down to them of course but then again some had different ones than the others.

So when she came across the feisty new member of cabin nine. Kenna just smiled as she could tell the girl was frustrated with the door. Yes it was a bit different then the other cabins but then again they did not have their abilities. "you won't need a code to get in" her voice was one of encouragement. But it seemed the girl just wanted to get in the door. "Put your hand on the door and listen" her words were one that sounded weird but it would make sense in the end.

Hephaestus children tend to have a knack for being able to sense machines, mechanics, or metal. They could even identify the machine type but just a touch. "Try it and see if you can get it to open" this was not her trying to be mean in any way, but her wanting the young girl to see her use her gifts.

  14. Kenna could see Savanna was busy talking to her newly claimed half brother. That was when Elena walked up too. Joining the group of Savanna, Codie and Elena she beamed. "Congrats on being claimed" she said to Codie. "These two are great demi-gods so I know you will be in good hands" giggling she looked at her two friends. Kenna had gotten a half sister at the last bonfire which was really nice and all. Now she had someone to pal around with when she was in the forge or even when they were planning to build a new bot or something. Kenna was a shy one but yet she really enjoyed her friends. Putting her hands in her pocket she pulled out a little contraption that she would pull apart then put back together. It was sort of a game for her to play when she was nervous or anxious. Then seeing even more being claimed she clapped along with the others as this was a very active bonfire.

  15. Kenna was done having fun catching up with her old friend Elena who had come back to camp. It was nice when you make friends that actually like you. Well anyways she was making the short trip back to cabin 9 when she saw a girl aiming a kick at the door. Running up to her she wanted to first make sure the girls foot was okay and then to help her in any way. "Hey are you okay?" she asked her trying to make sure that the first point in her head was satisfied. Then looking at the door she put her hand on the cabin before turning back to the girl. This was the girl that had been claimed at the bonfire! So she was her half sibling. Kenna was very shy but then again she wanted to make the girl feel welcome. "I am Kenna, this is my cabin too."

  16. Kenna was coming to the bonfire with her siblings as always. It had almost been a year since she got to camp which felt like such a long time ago. But anyways she had finished working on a sword when they said it was time to clean up. Looking in the mirror she noticed that she was pretty gross with grease all over her. Cleaning up she then got to the bonfire which was in full swing of things with music and such. Looking up at Kendall who was dancing with her brother. This made her giggle as her eyes went to see Savanna there as well as Julia. Both had been such good friends of hers since she got here. That was when she snuck over to Savanna to talk to her "Heyy" she said as she giggled at the yawn her friend did.

  17. It was sort of fun showing the camp to her new friend. Even though she had been here only for less than a year. The place was starting to feel like home. Don't get me wrong, her heart still ached for Asheville where her mom was. But here she was with others like her that understood her in ways that her mom didn't get. Seeing that Julia sat down in the sand, she followed her. This is where she went to think when she felt overwhelmed. Nodding her head "Oh yesss back home was nice beaches with lighthouses and lots of shells" she giggled. Taking her own shoes off she put her feet in the sand too "It is calming isn't?" Kenna looked out to the water that was from the sound of the Atlantic Ocean. The sounds of the waves crashing was something when she grew up that was fun and exciting. It meant time in the sun with her mom as she played in the water. Those were much simpler times she thought to herself. "This is a great place to come think" Then she saw that the day had been flying away from them as it was getting late. Standing up after a while she dusted off "I should take you to your cabin before the bonfire." She held her hand out for Julia to take.

  18. Kenna knew that Samantha was much older and wiser than herself. I mean Kenna had only been at camp a little bit which meant she had very little training compared to her. But showing her the movements anyways she could tell that Samantha was enjoying it as from the cheers of her being able to do it. "Yay that is so exciting" she called back to her as she turned to look. That was when she caught the wink that Samantha sent her way "Ohhhhhh not sure how much of that was me...you were the one that did it" the girl was shy so this made her feel proud inside. But then she got another compliment about the dagger. Kenna was feeling all sorts of things which just came off as a blush again. "Well I have been working on that the longest with my brother Stefan, he is much better than I am but I am learning."

Kenna was shocked when Sam moved behind her, moving her arms a little bit to try it that way. Saying that it would tire her less. Nodding she then began to do her movements again. Feeling the power of the blade moving in her hands as if little effort was being using but it was much more effective. "Woah that is so cool" she said as she kept doing her movements over and over. Then turning to Samantha she tilted her head "So you want to spar, I have some wooden swords as well?"

  19. Kenna was nervous at first as she was waiting to see if the door would open. Would Elena even remember her or would she ask her to go away. Kenna was shy enough so it was hard when she pushed herself to go after her friends. Trying to not let the anxiety well up in her, she heard the door open to see her friend saying that she missed her. "Well I am okay, been learning a lot in the forges and meeting more people at camp" this was all very true. Kenna's work wasn't the best but it was improving a lot over time. But then she enjoyed the hug she gave her. Laughing as she felt better inside that her friend did miss her. "How are you? How was being home?....is your mom okay?" Most of the kids that come here have monster chasing them as they find their way to the camp for the first time. Not to say that monsters don't still find them as they grow but they are just more prepared.

  20. Kenna had been working hard on her different techniques in the forge. Some days were longer than others but she finally felt like she was where she belonged. She had just finished a sword when she heard chat that Elena Miller was came at camp. Her jaw dropped as she hadn't seen her friend since the previous summer. Getting all her gear off she then rushed out of the forge towards the Hypnos cabin where maybe she would be. The smile on her face was cute as Elena was one of her first friends here at camp. Maybe the two of them could hang out again like they used too. Well she stopped outside of the cabin as she knocked on the cabin door as her heart was racing from excitement.

  21. Kenna knew about some things but when older campers talked about things from time to time. Kenna would always have the most confused faces as she just didn't get what they were talking about. But Samantha told her not to worry about it. Shrugging her shoulders she smiled "Okie dokie" she giggled as she then went back over to where she was standing with her sword. Kenna felt so cool when she practiced as her friends back home would have never believed that she KENNA was a demi-god. Well they couldn't know but she wished she could tell them. Showing Samantha the stance she did the moves of Stab Stab Stab Jab Cross.

Turning around when Samantha said she had it. Kenna hoped she did as it was a good thing to practice just to get used to holding and moving with swords in general. "YOU ARE DOING IT" she exclaimed as she saw her new friend doing so well. This must be an Athena thing as they picked up things so incredibly well!!! Then getting beside Samantha she would do this over and over again at the same time as if they were in some move montage thing. "How does it feel in your hands?" she asked as she thought Samantha looked like a natural with the dagger.

  22. Kenna was one to know almost all her friends birthdays as she loved knowing all of those good reasons. Her own mom always told her that it was easy to make people to feel special and it was to just pay attention. It was the little things that mattered to people like their birthdays. Kenna's mom was always good at that sort of things which made Kenna beam when she could tell how much it meant to the others. Coming back out of these thoughts she hugged her friend before she followed her friend into her cabin as they were going to eat the cake. "Ohhhh I mean the cabin leaders talk so I just overheard which made me happy to know." she said looking around the cabin amazed.

This cabin was so different than hers...I mean that made sense but still she looked shocked. "WOAH, your cabin is so cool" she said in a whispers as she ran a bit to keep up with Savannah. "I think it was james" she said as she looked over to this milk looking thing that was dripping. It looked so nice but what was it, she thought feeling herself feeling drowsy.

  23. Kenna nodded her head as she smiled. Julia was so bright that she hoped that she was one of her siblings. It would be fun to be in the same cabin together. Always getting to sit with each other at meals and bonfires. "Me too, let's stay friends okay" she said hoping the girl felt the same way.  The rock wall was in front of them when julia asked a question. "Yeah at some point" then leaning in "It also has Lava to make things more challenging" she said looking a bit terrified at the thought. The wall looked challenging enough to then add lava to it all. Kenna found herself giggling when julia seemed to get so excited about so many things like the lake and beach. "Okay this way" she said as she began to run a little to help get them there a bit faster.

It wasn't too far when they got to the beach. The salt air could be smelled as the sound of waves hit her own ears. Kenna thought about her own beaches back home in North Carolina. They were so beautiful with their lighthouses. Even the tales of Blackbeard had treasures along their shores. One of her favorite places back home was this island that wild horses ran on...they were so majestic.  Turning her face to look at Julia she beamed "So what do you think?"

  24. "It's just my cabin" she whispered as she smiled. It was typical that campers would sit with their cabin while those new campers might be claimed. Hopefully Julia would know that Kenna was not leaving her in anyway. "I got to stand with my cabin but I hope you get claimed" she said with a big grin. Then joining her half brothers and sisters she watched as her friend had a challeous appear above her head. Her mouth dropped as she realized her friend was a child of Hebe. With big eyes she looked over back to her when Julia spoke to her again.

"I guess not" she looked bummed but was happy she knew who her mom was. Then seeing more of the other new campers she wondered who else would be claimed????
