Liam Santos Rare Posted June 20, 2023 Share Posted June 20, 2023 RPC 12) Defeat some Myrmekes Liam was out with his brothers having a bit of a good time with the capture the flag. They were off searching for the flag playing around as they always did. The three of them had always been close since they all got to camp around the same time. Being claimed by their father and pushing each other in training. They had just gotten the flag so as it was being reset again they were shooting the shit as they came up on the north woods. That was when he heard a sound that was no camper but a monster. Capture the flag was one of his favorite activities as it allowed him to get away with no holding back on other campers. While he enjoyed hanging out with his siblings he also loved going solo and targeting the enemy. He prided himself on seeing how many of them he could knock unconscious. So far he'd taken out Jake an Apollo camper, a Hermes named Philip, and some Athena camper who seemed to think he was flawless and above everyone....what was his name? Started with a 'Z' maybe? Benji couldn't remember but he enjoyed beating him up none the less. And now there was a possible monster coming near?? "I did." Benji grinned. Ohhhhh how he wished the three of them would find punks to mess with but for now all that left Liam's mind as he looked towards the sound that the others heard too! "Oh yeah, they will regret ever messing with the ares boys" he said with a smirk. His word had been through a number of monster fights which only made it a even better. The monsters appeared as 3 myrmekes came up around the corner. The giant ant looking monsters ready to try and kill the demi-gods in front of them. Anytime there was the potential for danger, especially if it meant fighting monsters, he felt alive! When Liam asked if they were ready to take down the monster Benji lit up. "Hell yes!!!" he yelled, eager to fight. With his adrenaline pumping Benji charged towards the myrmeces along with his brothers. With ease Benji took down the first myrmex with a lightning fast slash of his sword as he then kicked the creature sending it several feet back across the forest floor. Even if they came back he found joy in killing them as he saw Benji go straight for the kill. Laughing he ran and jumped on top of it. The Myrmeke began to spit acid everywhere as he began to stab it over and over again. "Take that monster scum" he said as he gave it the final blow as it turned into dust. He flicked his sword to clear it of myrmekes' blood before turning to face the third monster. His muscles were coiled aching from the thrill of the fight and what was to come. Each swing felt like victory and he reveled in it. This was where he belonged, sword in hand and back to his brothers', fighting against the impossible odds stacked against them. "That's two down," he called out. He met Liam's glance and nodded. "Let's make it three." He stepped forward as he sized up the last myrmekes. It was much bigger than the others! Benji gripped his sword tight, "After you, brother," he gestured grandly with a sweeping motion of his arm, a wicked smile on his lips. Benji felt truely invincible in moment like these. The third myrmekes loomed before them, its size intimidating, but Liam wasn't one to back down from a challenge. He tightened his grip on his sword, the familiar weight comforting in his hand. "Thanks, bro," Liam replied, his voice filled with determination. With a determined shout, he charged forward, his battle instincts kicking in. The myrmekes lunged at him, its pincers snapping menacingly, but Liam deftly dodged and rolled to the side. As he regained his footing, Liam swung his sword in a wide arc, aiming for the monster's vulnerable underbelly. Summoning all his strength, he delivered a powerful strike, the blade of his sword finding its mark with a resounding thud. The myrmekes crumbled to the ground, dissolving into dust. Liam stood there, chest heaving, adrenaline still coursing through his veins. He glanced at Benji, a triumphant smile playing on his lips. "Three down!" Liam called out, his voice filled with exhilaration. He joined Benji's side, clapping him on the back. "Nice work, brother. We make a great team." Benji exclaimed his voice filled with admiration for his brothers, some of the few people at camp he cared about. "We really do make an unbeatable team!" he added with a big grin. The adrenaline was still pumping and Benji felt truely invincible in that moment, ready to take on anything that stood in their way. "Now let's go get that flag and bring home the win!" he said. With their spirits high and their brotherly bonds stronger than ever, Benji, Liam and Dustin all charged forward ready to claim total victory for the Ares cabin!
