About Me

  1. Novalie Abrams biography Growing up Mr. Abrams was gifted with words being able to create such lovely poems. However, he was made fun of when he was younger which made him go under a pen name to write them without people knowing. When he was older, he was writing back and forth to a mystery writer when they had decided to meet each other in one of the most romantic spots in the world. Paris. After a wonderful day and a very special night together, the woman that he had met had ended up leaving him in the middle of the night. The next day, he was leaving his apparent after noticing that the woman wasn't there anymore. He had noticed laying on the ground next to his door a bundle of blankets with a baby tucked inside. A note was placed on the baby that told him who she was and who the baby was to him. Mr. Abrams believed that she was the real goddess of love but was shocked when he seen that the baby was his. He lifted the child up in his arms and looked closely at her. She had looked just like him, so without much more thought he had agreed to raise her. He had named the child Novalie, and the man and baby had started their life together. More than a couple years had passed since that day that Mr. Abrams had found her on the doorstep, and he was at the moment watching her play outside of his window while he worked on his writing. He was always amazed at what she was getting herself into. She had been playing with sticks at the moment, like she had always done. She liked to pretend that the stick was a sword, always telling her father that she was the princess that saved the prince from danger. Which was he would always laugh at. It had brought him into putting her into fencing. Which she had loved and was soon one of the top students in her class for her year. She was around nine years old when she and her father had to move out of France to the states due to his work. Once she was there, after months of waiting for the right paper work, she was soon off to school in New york city. She was swarmed around by all kinds of people. She had meet a boy who brought her more happiness than anything, he soon became her best friend. They became as thick as thieves. They would get into trouble together but nothing to bad,as she was still pretty much a good girl at heart. She did have some toruble in school, with reading and such. It was one day that they had a sub teacher that things began to be a little off for Novalie. She had gotten into trouble almost the whole day with this woman adn she was told that she needed to stay after school to have a talk. He friend had offered to stay outside of the classroom and wait for her, to which she had agreed to. She waited for a little bit with the sub, the teacher not saying anything much to her yet, She had glanced at the door then back at the teacher, to which wasn't the teacher anymore. She let out a scream and rushed to the door to open it up only to see her friend standing there. However it wasn't her friend at the same time. This time he had horns and goat legs. She screamed again this time only being able to move pass her friend and into the hallway where she watched her friend kill the monster. After killing the monster, the friend grabbed her hand and told her to run wtih him as they went to her dad's house. Not stopping for nothing. There, her dad was told about the monster attack adn that the friend would be able to take her to a safe place with people like her. Even going as far as to tell him that she would be able to come home later for school and things like that. He agreed, already knowing most of what the friend was saying. He hurried to help her pack a bag, telling her that he would be waiting to come home when she could. He promised that he would write her everyday once she was able to write him first. It took a day to get to get to camp. Nothing had happened. No monsters had come at them this time which was good for Novalie. During that time, her friend had began telling her everything that she wanted to know. Even going as far as to tell her what he was and why he was there for her. He helped her to the big house and soon she was handed off to one of the people in there. She had loads of questioned still, this time most of them being answered by someone who knew more of what she was going through. She had gotten showed around the camp and told that she would be able to stay at cabin 11 before she was claimed by her godly parent. That night at the bon fire, her mother, Aphrodite had claimed her by dolling her up. She was pretty shocked to know that her father had known about this and that there were others like her. She went over to her siblings and was welcome with open arms. Through the years, she would head home to go to school in the city and in the summertime, she would travel to the camp to see her siblings and friends. Then one summer, she had met a boy named Liam, who showed her how to fight with a sword. It kind of reminded her of how she used to fence, and she enjoyed it. She would help out where she was needed, or she could be found around the camp under some trees reading some of her spicy books. Personality Novalie is a pretty sweet girl to most but has an attitude to those that cross her bad side. When she gets to that point she uses her mouth and then stomps off to the waters edge where she can be calm down. She had a thing for fruit platters and can be seen in the kitchen eating them, or with a bowl of fruit around the camp. Pineapples and watermelon are some of her favorites. She has taken after her father by writing poems like him. She has a book with all her poems in them. She can sometimes be seen with a camera, taking pictures of different things here and there, and sometimes taken pictures of people. She likes to people watch. She had a solid dislike for sad ending in books and winter weather. The more skin that she can show the better. She doesn't like when someone speaks over her or thinks that she is weak. 3. Alyssa James biography Alyssa is the product of a one-night stand at a party between her father and a mystery woman that she never had been able to get the name of. Her father simply insisted that the woman had been beautiful and full of life, and that Alyssa reminded her of him. When she was nothing but an infant, a Social Worker had brought her to his door, with a note that simply read 'She's yours, Alex, treat her well.' Alex raised his daughter with love and compassion, but worked late hours. He hired a nanny to watch her in the evenings after he went to work. Alyssa didn't mind, she was usually asleep for most of the time her father was gone anyway, and the nanny was just there to make sure she was safe and make her breakfast in the morning. The older woman was like part of the family. So it grieved Alyssa greatly when she went away unexpectedly one day, and Alyssa learned that she had died. The girl was only 7 years old, and it scared her to her core to know that growing old meant that you would one day die. A new nanny was hired, though this one was far more strict, and her breakfasts weren't nearly as good. Around Alyssa's 10th birthday, the nanny seemed to reach peak cruelty. One day before school, Alyssa could have swore she saw claws where her nails should be and fanged teeth. But when she looked again, nothing seemed out of the ordinary. Alyssa set down her school bag by the door instead of keeping it with her at the table and the woman snapped! She started straight up attacking her. Alyssa screamed for help, but nobody else was home. The fangs and claws came back, along with some wings, and Alyssa's screams only grew louder. She managed to grab a frying pan off the counter and smacked her nanny--or whatever had replaced her nanny--over the head with it. Once freed from her clutches, Alyssa bolted out of the house and straight to a nearby park. She had always been taught that if she were being followed by someone trying to harm her that she should go to a public place with witnesses if she couldn't find a police officer. As she entered the park, Alyssa was met by a stocky man with a limp. He told her to follow him and he would keep her safe. The man had a hat on, but she felt like something wasn't quite human. Still, he asked where her parent worked and he escorted her straight there, so Alyssa had no reason to object. When they arrived at his work, Alex was surprised, but the man introduced himself and removed his hat to reveal two horns. He explained that he was a Satyr from Camp Half-Blood and that Alyssa was a half-blood child. He told Alex that he could keep his daughter safe, but she would have to go. After a long discussion, Alex agreed. Alyssa began to cry, not wanting to leave her father, but her father knelt down and told her to put on a brave face and that he would write once the coast was clear. Alyssa dried her tears and they quickly went to Camp Half-Blood. Upon arrival, Alyssa was claimed by her mother, Hebe, and she has stayed at the camp year-round ever since. She still writes to her father often, but they've come to an agreement--now that she's older and understands the danger--that she'll keep her visits brief and always return to camp for her safety. Personality Alyssa is a carefree spirit. She tries not to take things too seriously, and go with the flow. She loves her father dearly, and writes to him as often as she can. Alyssa is funny, outgoing, and her smile lights up a room. She's kind, but can have an attitude when people cross a line. She isn't the most athletic of campers, but she likes to play games and stay active anyway. She can be a little vain, often taking an interest in keeping her 'youthful glow' but she doesn't let it get in the way of having fun and getting dirty. Largely it comes from her overwhelming fear of death. About Me Birthdate: June 15, 2006 Likes: Chocolate, Parties, Flowers, Cuddles, and Stuffed Animals Dislikes: Responsibility, People who take themselves too seriously, Cockroaches, Death, and Cheaters (games or relationships, doesn't matter) Family: Mom: Hebe Dad: Alexander James Siblings: None Other: None Happy Thoughts: Her father and their visits. 4. Abigail Asteria Anderson biography Declan Anderson was brought up in Salem MA as apart of a a long line of descendants from the witch trials back in 1692. Growing up he always wondered if a bit of magic was still apart of him as he tried to study the craft to no avail. It wasn't until he was older when he found a group of others around his age(early 20s) that came up with this idea of performing a dancing ritual together to get the attention of the god(s). As they had all been working on the ritual to make it perfect in hopes of getting magic. Declan had prayed to the goddess Hecate to bring forth magic in his lineage! As the dead of night came upon them, when they all descended on this magical spot where 10 men and 10 women would go about the dancing ritual. There was this girl in the group that had caught the eye of Declan who was more gorgeous than any he had seen, especially in the moonlight. What he did not know was this was Hecate in disguise. He had made sure to pair with her! Later that evening, the pair went off to have a night of passion. As time stretched on and Declan did not find himself to be able to use magic, he was saddened. It was only some time later after that when that the woman who he did the ritual with showed up at his door with a baby girl in her arms. She told him who she was and that this was his child who would be able to do magic. Shocked he didn't know what else to do than to fall to the ground to worship her. The goddess told him to take the child and raise her well. Disappearing into the night, never to be seen again from Declan. He would soon find himself raising this feisty, red headed, and little magical girl he would name Abigail Asteria Anderson. Raising this magic wielder was quite the handful as the girl was clever but dark. It was Declan's dream come true that the lineage of Anderson's could have magical abilities! Abigail could be found many times playing in a room by herself with her imaginary friends. Or so he thought......when he would talk to abigail after she would talk of the dead as if they were alive. Saying she had conversations or played with children he knew to be dead. Abigail had been calling on dead children to play with her since she was brought up alone. As many of the other children found her to be a little off kilter. But as she grew, her abilities did as well as she practiced most evening with her dad to help her. Which caused her to be sleepy during most her school hours. It was as if she got in most trouble most for sleeping in class but then when she was awake her ADHD and Dyslexia didn't help her want to pay attention. School seemed pointless to her but her dad made her go in hopes she would make friends. One day in middle school she met this student named River who did not mind her strange ways. The two of the were close to each other as they hung out every day during school. Until one day on her way from school, there was a sound of some creature that was stalking her. Scared she began to run. When out of nowhere it attacked her. Feeling weak as it was during the day she normally would call on her dead friends but she did not have the strength to do it. It was then when River came charging with a sword as it fought off the monster, but he had goat legs and horns? Getting her to safe distance away. River told her to run but when River was fighting the monster it pinned him down. Abigail found herself falling to her knees and using all her strength calling the dead to aid in her friends rescue. As the ground opened up as the dead began to spill out of the ground and saving them both. River made Declan tell his daughter the truth, that she was a child of a goddess. It was then when River talked to both Abigail and Declan about Abigail going to Camp Half-Blood where she would be safe. Her father sadden that his daughter would be leaving him, he made her promise to come back to see him. Traveling to camp was hard as they were chased by monsters which River got her safely to camp where she was claimed by Hecate at age 11. The girl then grew up at camp for the most part as everytime she would leave camp for long periods. Monsters would find her and she would be challenged to fight. But as she grew more and more. She found herself pulling away even from her half-siblings as she felt different than most of them. As the dead were still more comforting than the living. But she still had her friends where she would open up to and hang out with. Some even call her the Triple A Threat as she was clever, magical and beautiful. But it did not stop her from still feeling like an outcast in the camp she had lived at her whole life. At times he was arrogant from her abilities thinking it would be the only thing she needed other than her dead friends. Personality Abigail was one to be extremely clever as the girl had studied magic almost her whole life once her dad could. The girl was one full of mystery as she not speak all too much around others as she found the company of the dead much more lively! However, she was one always down for a bit of fun especially in the dead of night. Those who know Abigail says she was almost mystifying as from the outside she seemed a bit strange but once you got to know her she was extremely open and fun. Abigail is also known to fixate on certain boys in camp half-blood in which she would have her own love story with them until she got bored. Leaving them once again. It seemed her attention span for the living was much shorter than for those of the dead! About Me Birthdate: June 19th, 2003 Likes: Night, the dead, cemeteries, Good haunting book, Paranormal shows, Dancing, A good time if you know what I mean! Dislikes: The day time, training with swords, fire, salads, Happy go lucky people, Bunnies unless sacrificing them! Family: Mom: Hecate Dad: Declan Anderson, age 41, Salem MA Historian Siblings: Cabin 20, half-siblings Other: N/A Happy Thoughts: The times when she was a child that she would play with her dead friends Nightmares: Losing her abilities and to never see her dead friends again Fatal Flaw: Trusting too much in her own abilities and not taking help PLAYED BY: DUDEITSBRITT FACE CLAIM: Angelina Mitchelle
  5. Character Name: - Azrael Blackburn Cabin: - 16 - Nemesis Other Characters involved in Plot: - Derrick Raines - one/two other campers based on volunteers for the hunt/plot Plot Overview: (This should be a brief summary, including the end goal) - Hunt the Chimera that killed Forrest the Satyr Plot Outline: (An outline of events necessary to complete plot) 0 - Historically Derrick lost his satyr on his way to camp.. still in need of vengance 1 - Azrael asking to keep in the loop of monsters reported through to the big house via the Satyrs 2 - Azrael tries to keep this under wraps and deal with it for Derrick 3 - Papers go missing/lost/info gets out to the camp (similar to the nab things from the cabins type pranks etc) 4 - Once this happens Derrick gets wind of the situation and insists on being part of the retribution 5 - Plan moves to a cabin/allies based group to go forth and hunt this specific chimera creature down 6 - Hunt takes place in the world 7 - tracking through local mountains 8 - The actual attack on the beast 9 - Sending the beast back to Tartarus 10 - The return to camp Plot Locations: (List all areas you intend to go in the world) - starting with camp half blood - Travel montage from camp to mid states - moving through the mid Rockies - Hunt itself at the Colorado southern end of Rockies - Returning to camp half blood Full Plot: (Please be as detailed as you can here) Derrick has been distanced since he arrived at camp, this is in part a downside of being a child of retribution and vengeance, and in part for having lost the satyr that befriended him and was guiding him to the camp. This plot is an attempt by Azrael to bridge that gap, help by vanquishing the monster that had killed Derricks friend but due to unforeseen circumstances he ends up bringing Derrick along to hunt the beast and ends up giving the kid the chance at striking out in revenge for the turmoil it has caused. The end goal of this one is to provide personal plot for the cabin members of Nemesis to bond over as well as a chance to Derrick to bond and grow out from under the trauma he has been carrying. 0 - Historically Derrick lost his satyr on his way to camp.. still in need of vengeance On his way to camp Derrick Raines had a traumatic experience where the satyr (Forrest) that had been guiding him to camp died in a Chimera attack. This has stayed with him since his return to camp, haunting his time at camp and likely a major part of why he is so reserved and defensive. Azrael Blackburn had been trying to get to know his cabin mates in cabin sixteen with mixed results, they had seemed tough to reach and even more of a challenge to get to open up as most of them had had enough tragedies and troubles over the years, children of Nemesis didn't seem to have an easy path. The one that he did manage to befriend was Derrick though, still young but fiercely loyal but had been left scarred at the death of the satyr by a monstrous Chimera. 1 - Azrael asking to keep in the loop of monsters reported through to the big house via the Satyrs So Azrael will use this knowledge to ask around the camp primarily via James as the Mythical Creatures Lore Instructor and also one of the folks in the camp most likely to receive the reports of monster activities from the satyrs around the country (along with Lilythe, Mr D and Chiron) 2 - Azrael tries to keep this under wraps and deal with it for Derrick Azrael will ask James to keep any such sightings private as he is worried Derrick will go off to try to kill it himself if he gets wind of it. This tends to be restricted to Cabin Leaders and above so should not be an issue - until the details of a reported sighting get out into the camp (possibly through the common game/prank of stealing a thing from each cabin) 2.5 - reports of a chimera come in via satyr reports of incidents - this is passed into the safe keeping of Azrael as per his earnest request to the other cabin leaders. 3 - Papers go missing/lost/info gets out to the camp (similar to the nab things from the cabins type pranks etc) With an increase in hi-jinks and challenges around camp, there are pranks to steal something of importance from each of the camps. In this case though this pushes the need to find the information and worry that other members of the cabin might have gotten hold of it. Once these kind of things go missing they quickly stop being secret plans and quickly become a part of camp gossip. 4 - Once this happens Derrick gets wind of the situation and insists on being part of the retribution With the report missing the fear is Derrick gets hold of it and Azrael's plan to get the grown ups to try to take down the monsters changes to one that pulls Derrick (and others if other players want to jump in on this invite)) into the hunting party. 5 - Plan moves to a cabin/allies based group to go forth and hunt this specific chimera creature down There will be scenes of preparations for their 6 - Hunt takes place in the world This will cover scenes of moving out, some heart to heart and tactics between the hunting party. 7 - tracking through local mountains The rest of the plot is around preparing and equipping the expedition and then them going out to try to hunt down the Chimera - in this case a tracking of finding and following devastation in a remote area of the Rockies. This will cover the of exploring, tracking and hunting along the creature's trail. 8 - The actual attack on the beast The full hunting party will have tracked the beast down to the eastern Rockies - a remote outpost/cave system where the chimera had taken over. use of tactics and planning while also ending up with some injuries and poisons with the need for Ambrosia to heal the worst of. 9 - Sending the beast back to Tartarus Derrick getting the killing blow and taking a trophy (goats horn or similar) that can be made into a blade or similar and if it was menacing a young demigod or similar then they could be saved and brought along to the camp. 10 - The return to camp The completion of the quest - a return to camp, victorious though with some added war wounds - expect the major points will be: a - Derrick getting to tell his tale of fighting the beast - a coming of age type moment. b - Azrael asking for the Trophy to be made into a a blade with cabin nine for Derrick. c - Azrael realizing the risks he had taken by agreeing to let a youngster go big monster fighting Goals (end outcomes expected for the personal plot line): - Defeat the monster - Vengeance for Forrest (and for Derrick) - A trophy weapon (possibly magical at least in flavor) for Derrick made after the quest - RP reasons for Derrick to come out of his shell a bit more Does this impact more than just my character and those I'm writing with directly? - No (should only affect those who go hunting) Would this make major headlines or otherwise ensue panic or happiness on a massive scale? - No (will mostly be remote / far enough away so avoids headlines etc)
  6. ELENA CLARKE biography Elena was born in Italy with her mother until the age of seven, her mother brought her to the US where her mother worked as a doctor while Elena started elementary school. She never knew her father since young so she wasn’t aware of how it was like having a father. She was very much close to her mum , although she never mentioned where her father was and she assumed he left them. However her mother always mentioned that she looked like her dad whenever she was moody or in bad temper. Over the years, she grew up with an abnormal temperance. When she was at school, she was sometimes seen to be fighting with her classmates as she had huge strength and easily getting angered when arguing or being insulted by others. She didn’t excel much in her studies but she was very good at sports that made her teachers doubt her abilities. Since her tempers go on widely from time to time, her mother urged her to join in some outdoor activities where she could channel her tempers at instead of at school. She had the ability to use a wooden ruler as a weapon to defend herself (not transfigured) when attacked by some thieves at a shop she visits. She decided to go someplace suitable for her, where she came to a sports training area for young children. She helped with carrying huge objects since she had greater strength like the other male workers there. By the age of 12, she was attacked several times by monsters whenever she was outside. She ran away by using her physical strength. This happened frequent and she had no choice but to tell her mother about it. She was told that she was a demigod, hence her abilities were inhuman, after meeting a satyr during another monster attack. The satyr told her about a camp for half bloods like her. Her mother got the news as well and told Elena to stay there as it was safer there than outside. Even if she was her only daughter she wanted her to grow well and strong like her dad. Few days after, Elena followed Malvin the male satyr to camp. After being claimed, she found that she was the daughter of god of war. During these years she started her life as a demigod and got to know some of her half siblings, joined classes and trained herself to be a stronger demigod. Personality Elena is strong physically and has a physical strength like the other male demigods. She is often agitated if attacked or offended and will defend herself by using physical force. She has a quick temper in any situation like studying or doing chores with her mother and can never stay at one place. However she was trained to be more patient and calm by her mother. She also likes sports such as running and sword fighting where she can use most of her physical strength. She is good at communication as well and form good relationships despite her tempered demeanor. Although she is sometimes temperamental, she is quite matured her age. 7. Mason Grimes biography Mason was born at 4:02 pm on November 12th 2009, the reason the time is important is because I have brother, who is just 2 minutes younger than me. The doctor's told our mom we Were Mirror twins, I was left handed and my hair parted to the left, Maddox was right handed his hair parted to the right. They found out we were mirror twins by the inkblot shaped birthmark on my left forearm just below my elbow crease, and my brother had the exact same mark mirrored on his right forearm. We were born via C-section thanks to my "little" brother, he was facing wrong which caused our mom some complications. After a few days in the hospital we got to go home with our mom. Now she was a party animal per say, at least that's was she told us. She meet our dad one wild night, and he disappeared after that. Our grandparents helped our mom out, by moving us into a little house behind theirs. As we got older, we weren't the best of kids to our Momma G. Her and our grandparents tried to help us the best they can but they were at a lost with our anger issues. In school we were bullies, well mainly my brother, who hit first and asked later, but I always stuck up for him, no way was he going down without Me by his side. One day when they were 6 years old, they came home to their grandparents house burned to the ground, sadly they were inside and didn't make it out. We also had learning issues, we got told we had ADHD and Dyslexia, which we just shrugged off. Didn't matter what labels we had, it didn't change who we were. In September just two months before we turned 12 years old, we were called into the principal's office, which wasn't unusual for us. But something was off when we walked in and there was a cop and some lady we didn't know. That was when we found out that our Momma G died. As we took that information in, they started to talk about foster care, that's when we both looked at eachother, talking through looks, we knew foster care wasn't for us, we didn't want to be seperated. With in seconds, I shoved the cop, and we both darted out the door. We found some older "street" kids, that took us in and helped us learn the streets. We lived happily, even celebrating our 12th birthday with the kids we meet. We would steal, fight, and do whatever we needed to do to serve. We had only lived on the streets for about 5 months, when were out without our street family, and this giant bird like creature came right for us, both I and my brother were frightened we had never seen anything like it. Just as I was about to get in front of my brother, he grabbed my jacket pulling me back as this strange man came racing up with a sword, fighting and eventually killing the creature. Maddox was ready for a fight with the guy that just saved us, and I was just standing there in shock trying to take it all in. The guy explained to us that he was Satyr and about a camp, and I felt maybe this was for the best. Of course I had to convince my brother, and we set off with the clothes on our back and nothing else. After a few weeks, and plenty more creatures trying to attack us, we made it to this big blue house, where the satyr told us to wait inside there, for more instructions. Personality Mason was the level headed one of the two. Well if you could call him level headed. If you compared him to someone other than his twin they wouldn't really call him level headed. He had his anger issues, but unlike his brother he didn't always hit first. He cared for his brother and that was it. He had trust issues, only reason he trusted the Satyr was because of some weird gut feeling he had. He hated authority, and would fight back any chance he got. He didn't get told what to do, he told you what you were going to do. Mason did have a hint of a sensitive side, but the hell if he would let anyone know that, he wanted everyone to be scared of him. He didn't want anyone thinking they could weasel their way into his or Maddox life. Which by the way they were a 2 for 1 deal, no matter where Mason was Maddox wasn't far behind. Mason is hard to get along with, so his only real friend was his brother Maddox. Which he was perfectly fine with. 8. Maddox Grimes biography Momma G always told us about the night that she had meet the man of her dreams. Said it was magical and something that she would never forget. She also told us the part where he disappeared and then nine months later ended up having me and Mason. She said that it was an emergency c-section. Apparently, I wasn't in the right space to come out safely. After a couple of days in the hospital, she was finally able to name us. Mason is my older brother by two minutes. My name is Maddox. The doctors told her that we were mirror twins by the ink blotch birth mark on our elbow crease. Mine showed up on my right arm and his mirrored on his left. She said that when she got us back to the small apartment that she had, she started to cry and that was when our grandparents came to the rescue. Telling her that we could live behind their house. They had a small little place behind them. They were able to help her with us. However, we were violent. Mason and I would end up throwing things, hitting things starting out as a young age. Hardly anything was able to calm us down. When we got to the age to start school, things became a little worse for wear. We both were diagnosed with ADHD and dyslexia. A long with those, and the bad attitudes we had we ended up becoming bullies around the school. Pushing kids on the ground and starting fights. It felt normal for me to do that. I'm the one that often punches/pushes first without thinking. It was a normal day in school, the calls to momma G about our behavior. However, when we got to the house, we noticed that our grandparent's home had ended up catching fire, they weren't able to escape from there. Which was sad as they were the only people in our lives that were able to understand us. It was hard on our mother but as they say life goes on. Years went on and by the time that we were just about twelve years old, we were just as mean as ever. Bullying kids still always seeming to get into trouble. The cops had been called on us a couple times. Them normally just talking to momma G about us and how we needed to go to therapy. One day at school, they ended up pulling us out of class and brought us to the office. There was a strange woman and an officer standing there along with the principle. I was worried, just by the look on their faces. Something had happened. My brother and I were told that momma G had died in some kind of crash and that they were there to take us to a safe place, since there was no one that would be able to take us in. The word foster care came into play a lot and I couldn't help but look over at my brother. Knowing that I didn't want to go there because I didn't want to be pulled away from him. He was my other half. Someone that knew me more than anyone else...more than momma G knew us. Not wanting to leave with them, we cause a ruckus and fought tooth and nail to get away from the adults. They hadn't even had the time to lock the school doors before we were out and running away. Foster care be dang. We ran and hid away from the officers that tried to find us. We had even found some people that were just like us. Run aways. They were a little older than us, but they were able to show us their ways. The officers finally gave up on finding us a couple months in. Which we had been happy about. I was content with living like I was living. I had my brother and that was all I needed. By our twelfth birthday, two months living on the streets, my anger issues had already begun to increase. Living the life, we had the last couple months could do that to some people. I didn't care who was on the other end of it. However, the kids that we lived with hardly ever took the blunt end of it. One day we had been walking around by ourselves and something strange happened. A flying monster started to attack us. I had no idea what it was, and Mason seemed to be just as scared as I was. We hadn't even started moving before someone ran past us with a sword. Attacking the monster that was in front of us. Scared, I couldn't help but grab on to Mason's jacket and pulled him back away from the fight. It was my first thought, to save my brother, well and I didn't know how to fight a monster like that at all. I was shocked when the man had ended up killing the monster. There were many things going through my head. It was then that the man walked over to us, and Mason couldn't help but step in front of me, but the man only stopped so close to us. I was thinking that I would have to fight this man. However, I stopped thinking when I noticed the man tip his hat. His curly hair bouncing and there was a set of horns on his head. I stood there shocked, unable to look away from the horns on his head while he started talking to us. He called himself a satyr and that he knew of a place that would keep us safe. Something called camp half-blood. He began to tell us about the place, and I can remember looking at my brother like he was crazy, however, my levelheaded brother seemed to like the idea, and you should know by now, anywhere he goes I will follow him. It took about a week to get to where this camp was. We had to go through some more fights, but we ended up at the camp with no big issues. Now, I'm standing here looking at a big blue house, in the middle of nowhere. Personality Maddox is the younger twin by two minutes, he doesn't like it either, and when his brother teases him about it, they end up wrestling to fight it out. It's normally 50/50 who wins that time. He likes to be around his twin all the time. They hardly ever leave each other's side. He has been on his own the past couple of months, and he has a hard time trusting other adults around him, he thinks that they are going to take him to foster care. Maddox is easy to anger and will have no issue with swinging first and asking questions later. He does everything with his right hand first, having a harder time trying to copy his brother and using his left. He can become very manipulative at times. Knowing how to play people, especially once he gets to know them. He has a carrying side. It's mainly toward his brother, but it will start coming to the surface when he finds out that he has other family members. He hasn't really had many friends so he isn't sure how to treat them, and might treat them poorly at first, but he will grow into that better. About Me Birthdate: November 12th, 2009 Likes: his twin, fighting, arguing, talking people into doing things for him, loud music, Dislikes: crybabies, people trying to baby him, people feeling sorry for him, being bored, being told her can do something, someone trying to restrain him. 9. Petal Price biography Atsa was a proud man and prominent member of a free-spirit community he grew up in. That prominence buckled when it came time for him to marry, instead of the woman arranged for him he chose instead to follow his heart, marrying the waitress Peggy from a town outside the reservation. Ostracized, he set out with his new wife, soon building his own fortune through hard work by starting a successful construction company. Believing strong discipline could accomplish anything he would teach the same to his twin boys; or so he thought. One brother heeded his father’s wisdom, the other…well he chose a life of drugs, music and spiritual free living. Dropping out of high school he fell in with a group of similarly minded outcasts. Spending their combined savings on an RV he took on the moniker Eagle and took off for one music festival or party after another throughout the whole south west. Working whatever odd jobs he could find in town to pay for it. It was during one particular music festival that he met a beautiful young woman that he could have sworn had wings that glowed a many colored aura (he’d later assume that was the shrooms he’d taken earlier). They hit it off immediately and like many that night they spent their passion in his tent. She was gone when he awoke and as the months went on she became lost in the number of women he slept with from festival to festival. Reality came one day in the form of a letter and to his great surprise a baby girl. Perhaps for the first time in his life he was forced to make an adult decision. He knew his lifestyle was no place for a baby so with a heavy heart and a difficult phone call little Petal was sent to her grandparents to be raised under their watchful eye. While Petal loved her grandparents she lived for the summer, the time when she was allowed to travel with her dad and his weird friends. He took her to all sorts of fantastical events (some he had to sneak her into) and she grew up meeting so many bizarre characters. School was never easy so like her dad she grew up to be a free spirit living in the here and now rather than worrying about grades or her future prospects. During this time she made a new friend who looked around her age; Kyz. Kyz seemed to always have a knack of showing up at nearly every festival she went to. Sometimes she even swore she’d see him outside of summer back home but that had to be preposterous. Much like her father, reality would come crashing down hard when she turned twelve. During that summer at a music festival she broke into her father’s mushroom stash while he was away wanting to see what all the fuss was about. At first it didn’t seem like it had any effect; until she saw what looked like some sort of hellish beast right outside her window! Screaming she ran outside to look for her father thinking it was all just some sort of horrible hallucination, if she could just find him then it would all be better! The beast was too fast and soon she was cornered in a sea of parked vans, cars and RVs. As she clenched her eyes shut, hoping this trip would end and promising whoever would listen that she’d never ever ever try drugs again she heard the beast cry out in pain then silence. Opening her eyes it was her friend Kyz who had saved her! Only, he looked nothing like himself, was that the drugs she wondered? It wasn’t long when her father appeared and Kyz began to explain things. She was a halfblood, and her life was in danger. These attacks would continue unless she went to a place called Camp Halfblood. Petal’s summers would never be the same but she soon accommodated to camp life where she was claimed by Iris at the bonfire. Camp Halfblood honestly wasn’t too different from the summers she was used to, fantastical events and bizarre characters were the norm here. While she was sad she couldn’t spend her summers with her dad anymore she was excited to see what this new chapter in life had in store for her. She was a free spirit after all, and going with the flow was second nature to her. Personality In short, Petal is a free spirited, bubbly, outspoken flowerchild camper girl. A little more mature for her age given that she was exposed to so much growing up. She wants to live her life to the fullest and will never pass up on an opportunity to try something new. She’s kind and fiercely loyal to her friends. She’s known throughout the camp as someone always willing to dish out advice, though it’s not always the best. A true peacemaker hippie at heart she’ll work to try and resolve any conflicts that come up at camp using her communication skills, this sometimes backfires and gets her into trouble as she butts into others business. About Me Birthdate: April 17th 2005 Likes: Aphrodite campers, painting and expressing her creativity through art and color, trying new experiences, nature (flowers), bringing people together in harmony Dislikes: Bullies, fights, homework, studying, being stuck inside will drive her crazy Family: Mom: Iris Dad: Eagle (William) Siblings: Probably a few out there that she has no idea about but she knows she has a younger half-sister Piper from her father. Other: Grandfather (Atsa) Happy Thoughts: Something that makes them happy Nightmares: Being trapped or inclosed, people not liking her Fatal Flaw: Wants to live life to the fullest so will try anything once even if it’s dangerous or foolish to do so. 10. Andralyn O'Dell biography Mr. O'Dell was a huge gambler, and loved women, he had already had a one night stand that ended with the women becoming pregnant. She had a little boy name Ryan. Mr. O'Dell really didn't have much to do with his son, and never changed his ways. Five years had passed and he was losing everything thanks to his gambling. The Goddess Tyche, had been watching this guy for a while. She found him fascinating, because no matter how much he lost he just kept going back. She decided to appear to him one day, because her curiosity got the best of her, and she just had to ask him. Mr. O'Dell was enchanted by this beautiful Goddess in front of him, he answered her question, with the simplest explanation, addiction. She offered to help him with his luck, if he gave her a good time. He a greed, and they went back to his apartment, and had their fun which results in the goddess becoming pregnant. She was gone the next morning without a word, and he was up ready to head to the casino to test out his luck. Nine months had passed, and Mr. O'Dell's luck was on a winning streak. He also had money saved up for a house. He went out and had a few drinks with some friends. When he got home there was a baby sitting at his door, with a note that said "Thank you, Here is your Daughter Andralyn, take care." Mr. O'Dell was in complete shock, he hardly wanted his son round, and now he has a daughter. He cursed the Goddess name, as he carried his daughter into his apartment, trying to figure out what he was going to do with her. Because the man cursed Tyche's name, she took her gift of luck back. Mr. O'Dell, was losing again, all the money he had just won. Panicking, it changed his actions, he had to take care of this child. He got himself a job, and when Andralyn was 2 he found another women. She moved in, and got married to Mr. O'Dell. She was a great Step-Mom. When Andralyn was 10, they had a little boy of their own, naming him Cole. Andralyn went threw school, with no friends. She had the hardest time. As she got older, all she wanted to do was make bets with the other kids, and when they didn't want to do the bet, she would get mad. At the age of 8 she meet a boy name Archer, he became her best friend. He would agree to all her bets and be just fine losing. Throughout school, she wasn't the best, but Archer helped her through school. Archer was also the one who kept her in line at school, so she wouldn't get so mad at the other kids. In March of 2019, it was about a week and a half away from her thirteenth birthday. Archer and Andralyn were walking back to his house when something shook the earth from underneath them, and they both fell to the ground. Andralyn was about to say something, when she started to stutter, because right before her was a giant ogre like creature. It started to reach for her, and Archer was up in a flash, to block the creature as he yelled for Andralyn to run. She listened until she seen her friend who now has horns, go flying across the ground out of the corner of her eye. Taking a breath she turned around and charged toward the creature. She had no idea what she was going to do but she wasn't going to let it hurt her best friend. After what felt like an eternity, the creature just disappeared. Archer took Andralyn back to her house, and explained to her parents what had happened. Andralyn was in complete shock because her dad never told her about who her real mom was, and well she never asked because she had a loving step-mom who she felt was her mom. Andralyn and her father sat down and talked it out. They came to the conclusion that she can leave, and have a chance at meeting her biological mother. As long as she came back for the school year, and finished out school at home in Los Vegas, Nevada. Andralyn and Archer arrived to Camp Half-blood just a couple days before her thirteenth birthday. He told her to wait in the big house, until it was time for the bond fire. Andralyn was claimed by her mother, and she was shorted into a cabin with her half siblings. During the summer she spent her time training with half siblings, loving her new found "friends" from her cabin. She only really had her siblings as friends because they are the only ones that really understood each other. She was a little more emotional with her mood swings though. During the school year, she would leave back to Nevada. She is now fifteen, and she ready to try to open up more, after two (summers) years of being at the camp, she has kept to herself. She really wants to make friends though. Personality Andralyn is a very challenging person to be friends with, not because she doesn't want friends. It's hard for people to get close to her, because of her mood swings, you never know if your gonna get the sweet loving girl, or the crazy manica that wants to cuss you out because you looked at her wrong. She is a huge adrenaline seeker, she finds herself in verses predicaments that most would never want to find themselves in. But thanks to her mothers gifts, she is usually able to come out of whatever she is doing, without to many injuries. She has broke her arm quite a few times, and once even broke her ankle. That was still her luck working to her because she was still alive. The few friends she does have find her very hard to read, and love to engage her in games, and bets. Majority of the time they lose, but every now and then they may come out on top just onces. Andralyn says its because she lets them, because she feels bad that they are constantly losing and she hates that feeling. 11. Liam Santos biography Maria and Paulo Santos were a Brazilian couple who worked for the government. There jobs were simple, they were in different departments but were in charge of watching the imports and exports of the country. Both knew the the challenges of this job as Paulo was put undercover to find out information on the many pirates that were threatening the trade routes on the Amazon River. This of course worried Maria as she watched her love go off, wondering if she would ever see him again! Paulo had been doing his job well as many of the attacks had been stopped. Well this was until the government was sent a video of Paulo being killed telling them they were out for blood. If they wanted his body back they would have to give them money in exchange. This was Maria's fear coming true as the woman became blood thirsty! Getting a team together to recover the body. The woman only had one thing on her mind and that was to kill every pirate on that ship. It happened in the middle of the night, Maria and her team had a decoy ship of supplies set up to lay a trap for the pirates which worked all too well. As the Pirates descended, Maria only saw read as the woman and her team began to take out the pirates one by one. The blood thirst driving her to take out every one of them and even running down their ship that was getting away to get the info to recover her husband's body. A man on her team that was with her every step of the way as they killed the pirates, was none other than Ares in Disguise. Maria filled with so much of an adrenaline high plus pride that the two had a moment of passion with the man as she felt herself needing to feel connected with someone again and thought this man was the one. This is how she got pregnant with Liam, which she found out weeks later. This caused her to be shocked at first as then depression took over. As Liam grew up he was a hot headed child who could always been seen outside playing with other children playing sword fight or exploring. It was as if he he feared nothing which scared Maria as she never wanted to lose her boy as she lost her husband. This made her a bit over protective as he grew up which just made him become more cunning as he made up stories in order to go out and have fun. As the boy started school he had a hard time sitting still as he just wanted to play outside which caused a ton of outburst of anger. Reading was hard as the letters never made sense to him so he just wanted to do what he felt good at which was playing. It was then when strange things began to happen to the boy as he grew into middle school. It was here in school where he made a friend named Ajax. A weird curly hair boy who was always down for the war games Liam would want to play with the other kids. But at times these creatures would attack him as he played outside. This made Maria try and keep Liam home when he was not at school. Making him angry as he wanted control over his own life. But in an instant his whole life changed, in the middle night Liam woke to what sounded like a big BOOM. Making him sit up in bed and rush towards it as he found himself face to face with a creature who seemed to have destroyed half the house. Liam's eyes went to the ground behind the creature where his mom laid dead. Feeling his anger taking over, all Liam wanted to do was kill the monster. As he was about to act, Ajax came rushing in stabbing the creature turning it to dust. Shocked, he just stood there seeing Ajax who had goat legs and hoofs...what? Ajax told him he had to go to Camp Half-Blood where he would be safe. After what he just saw he had a gut feeling to trust the goat man. It took a while as the boy and Satyr had to travel to the states first. Then too New York where the camp was. On the way they fought several monsters together until they arrived over the hill into the camp. Liam was then explained everything about the god's. Later at the bonfire he was claimed at age 12, by Ares. Liam lives at camp year around with his siblings in the Ares Cabin. He is close to both Dustin and Benji who are close to his age. The boys can always be found together. Liam is a hot headed boy who is always into trouble as he is one not to think clearly when angered. Resulting in a couple of relationship breakups over the years. Liam can always be found by Dustin or Benji's side or in the Arena practicing for the next challenge he will have. Personality Liam is a hot headed boy who always wants to be in control of whatever is happening. When things go differently it makes he act out in anger. Which has caused several of his relationships go south as he allows his anger to make him say things he regretted later. Liam is also loyal to his friends and half siblings who he would do anything for. Over the year he had become more and more stubborn as he is stuck in his ways. Liam is also known for his great cunning tactics in war games as he wins them quite often. He prides himself in trying to beat the Athena cabin Campers. But at times his arrogance gets him into trouble as he doesn't want to listen to his siblings if they have ideas. He wants to be the best and show he is the best! 12. Kendall Ray bography After a one-night stand in New York Kendall's mom found herself pregnant. She didn't have a hard pregnancy, though she noticed that her child was pretty active most the time. After nine months, she was rushed to the hospital with her mother after her water had broken. Twenty-four hours later, Kendall was born. She was the light of her mother's eyes. Growing up, Ms. Ray had always told her stories of how she had fallen in love with a stranger and how the love turned into her. By the time that she was able to use her hands, she was already building things with blocks. Her mom always told everyone that she had a genius, but when she got into school, she found herself failing a couple of classes. Which caused her to sneak on the computers and hack into the school system to change her grades. It was a week until she turned thirteen, she had ended up finding a friend by the name of Aaron. They had started out just talking and then ended up thick as thieves. One day on the way home they both looked at their report cards and found out that they were both failing. An idea popped into her head, and she told him that she would be able to change the grades. The only issue was that they were going to have to sneak back into the school that night. Aaron tried to tell her that it was a bad idea, but she couldn't help herself. She told him that he needed to meet her at the store next to school at nine. Her mother would always put her to bed at eight-thirty. That night after dinner, Kendall was placed to bed after being told the same old story that she had been told since she was growing up and as soon as her mother shut her door she was out of her bed and already climbing out the window. It took her about fifteen minutes to get to the store next to the school and another ten before Aaron showed up. She was giddy when he did and told him to follow her. As they got to the school, they made sure that none of the car's headlights were going shine on them before they made it to the door of the school. She pushed her fingers to her lips, letting Aaron know that he needed to be quiet. She pulled wire cutters from her belt loop as she made her way over to the box that was near the door. Within minutes she had already disarmed the school system and opening the front door. Heading into the front office. She once again hacked into the school computers and found their names before changing the grade that they were failing. She also made sure that she hacked into the camera system and deleted anything that had to do with her, and Aaron sneaking into the school and stopped it from recording for five minutes so that they could get away. Once back out of the school, she walked over to the box that held the alarm system and put everything back in its place. Even used her electrical tape from her pocked to help keep things together. One the way back home however, something happened. Both she and Aaron were talking when the ground started shaking which caused them both to lose balance and fall to the ground. Kendall started freaking out a little and Aaron had pulled her closer to him hoping that would clam her down, but it didn't as soon there was a hellhound there. Kendall was shocked and was told by Aaron to move behind a tree when the big dog began to rush towards them. She watched as Aaron fought the hellhound and screamed when he was pushed backwards. Though she had noticed that he had horns on his head. It shocked her, what was he hiding from her. Without thinking she rushed to grab the weapon that Aaron was fighting with and rushed toward the hellhound without thinking killing it after a couple minutes of fighting it herself. She was shaking by the time she got back to herself, and she dropped the weapon back on the ground when Aaron came up to her smiling. He told her that she needed to get back to the house because they were going to keep coming. Getting back to her house, she rushed to her mother and Aaron had followed in behind her through her room. He told Kendall's mom that they needed to talk and went into detail about how the man that she had fallen in love with was a god and that Kendall was now in loads of trouble if she didn't get to camp. It took hours of them talking before he was able to persuade her to let Kendall go. When her mom told her to go pack her things she rushed. Packing her clothes and tools that she had been using to fix the machine that she had been working on. It didn't take long for her to get to the camp from where she lived and soon Aaron dropped her off at the big house after he explained that he was a satyr to her. She was still very much confused and didn't know what to do but she waited there when someone helped her the rest of the way. When the bon fire started, she watched the other new campers getting claimed. She thought that she wasn't going to get claimed, but that all changed when she was the last camper to be claimed that night. She was claimed by her father Hephaestus. For the next seven years she had been helping out her brothers and sisters with the machines and weapons making. Helping out with the younger campers when needed. She had left when she turned eighteen to go to New Rome, only to return when she was twenty because it didn't seem to fit her just right. Personality Kendall is a flighty person, being more curious about different things than her half brothers and sisters. She likes to be around machines and is often found fiddling with different parts trying to make them fit together whenever possible. She is a go get 'em kind of person. She wants what she wants and normally has no issue with getting it either. She isn't likely to give up to easily so she will more than likely get herself hurt before she ends up quitting something. She is a slightly flirtatious with some campers, especially if she was wanting them. She can be quite jealous over someone and doesn't really know how to stop it when it starts happening. She is an extremely hard worker and normally doesn't leave her spot until the job is done. She loves getting her hands dirty and doesn't really care about the way that she looks, unless it is around someone that she likes. She has a tool belt filled with tools that is normally around her waist, though hanging a little lower than normal. As the girl was betrothed to another boy once she got older. To keep the secret, he hired a private tutor who kept the girl up to date on her school while she did her terms of pregnancy. He then made her give the child up at an orphanage as it would keep the last name thatcher but that was all. Little baby Theodore would not have any information on who his family was or if his mom was still alive. Theo grew up in the foster care system, bouncing from one foster family to the next. As the boy was always in some sort of trouble from stealing or bullying the other kids. He never quite felt like he fit in anywhere, no matter how many of the families said they cared about him and were there for him. It did not stop him from trying to run away time and time again as he just longed of freedom. The freedom to do what he wanted or even pick the people he had around him. It always felt as if he liked someone they would just be taken away like they always did! Coach Jory who always seemed to be in the right place at the right time when Theo would find himself in trouble. It wasn't as if he was always the one who created the issues but it was always blamed on him. Coach Jory always told the boy to keep his head down and one day we could have the freedoms he so wished but for now he needed to focus on the task set ahead of him Which was a hard thing to do when it seemed these ummm creatures would came after him on his walk home from school. At first he just thought some rabbit dogs were after him but one day he got a closer look as he ran from the thing. This Hellhound was terrifying and if it wasn't for Coach Jory sweeping the thing away with a hockey stick. As it hit the ground he watched his coach hell for him to run home and that he would be there soon. Rushing home, his foster family thought he was making the story up when Coach Jory arrived but he had horns and goat legs. How was this possible? Coach Jory told the family about what Theo was and how he needed to go to camp for safety. The family was worried about the child they brought in their home that they gladly sent him away. Coach Jory and Theo traveled for a week until they got to camp which, Theo had a ton of questions about. The cabin leaders answered a lot of questions he had as he soon claimed by Hermes at he bonfire. Theo felt anger at his father and mother abandoning him as he joined his crowded cabin Soon though, he quickly made friends with the others in the cabin. Feeling like he finally had a family that was going to stick around. He stays at the camp year around as he does not want to go back to the foster family or school he once was at! Personality Theodore is a trouble maker who loves to stir the pot when it comes to any drama at the camp. There is something in watching the chaos around him that allows him to make moves in the advantage of the chaos. He also finds so much joy in trying to steal things when possible from the other cabins. Finding it like a game to see if he could get caught! He has little to no belongings so he is protective of the things he has! Theo is also a romancer pursuing anything on two feet and loves to have girls or guys at all sides of him. He knows how to play his cards right being so light on his feet. Making him smooth to any guy or girl he comes into contact with. Theodore is also huge on his cabin as it is all the family he has that stays around with him no matter how over crowded they are! 14. Evelyn Scott biography Nicholas Scott was a man who was obsessed with writing the perfect romance novel. It all started when he was a child as he watched his parents, love for each other, as they grew old together. His parents had been pen pals living in different parts of the United States, who crossed paths one random day and it was love at first sight. The two quickly exchanged information as they began to write to each other over several years before they decided to finally get married. Hearing stories about this type of love inspired Nicholas at a young age to write his stories of love that was just meant to be. As he began to grow in popularity he caught the attention of a certain Goddess who knew a thing or two about love, Aphrodite. The two quickly fell in love with their own short perfect love story which was more than he could ever dream of. It had surpassed any of the books he had written giving him new inspiration to write more, new romance stories. The two had a short courtship as their passion for each other was expressed physically. But then one day she tragically disappeared, never to be seen or heard from again. The man desperate for his love story to continue, searched for the woman wondering why she had left him, if they were so in love. Months later a child given to him saying the mother had died but left the child to him, claiming he was the father. As they stated the name of his lover, he felt the grief washing over him as he just wanted his own happy ending. As the child grew, a part of him blamed the child for the death of his lover. Even thou they never told him such a tell. As a result the girl grew to feel unloved and unwanted by her father. She just wanted her daddy to love her and spend time with her. As his story with Aphrodite inspired many more romance novels, his popularity grew to the point many more women flocked to him. But each relationship fell short of the love he had, so he would leave them in the end. Evelyn watched as her father would search for love, but could he not see her, the little girl in front of him that loved him so much. As she did not understand why he was searching for love when he had her. Was she not enough for him? It was however apparent as the girl grew she favored the beauty of her mother as many would comment on just how stunning she was. Nicholas faced with Evelyn's striking appearance of her mother with never finding a love like he had felt trapped in a life of reminders of his love without her love. This lead him to a dark decision that would end his life. It was a neighbor who found the body. Evelyn had become an orphan who was then thrust into the foster system at the age of 7 years old. The only thing her father left her was his fortune which was put into a trust fund. As she bounced from house to house, she was always treated poorly and would get in trouble for things that was not her fault. As these things would attack her when she played outside. Making things break or catch things on fire when she tired to fight it off. Being beautiful as a child made some of the families greedy as they even tried to used her in child modeling to make a buck or two off of her beauty. This is where she began to feel powerful as those around her seemed to marvel at her beauty. Making her feel as if she had some sort of value for once in her life. It was when she got the noticed that those around her would give her some sort of power if she used her beauty. So that was when she began to feel bits of happiness when her modeling would get attention as she grew older. The happiness would come and go as in waves that would crash on her day after day. Things began to come after her again when she was at school in her 6th grade year. First she thought this other girl just didn't like her as she was always getting her into trouble, but then one day she saw her as this ugly looking monster. Screaming she tried to tell the teacher that the girl was something unnatural when she got in even more trouble for speaking ill of another student. This was when she met Geo who she thought had a crush on her at first for how much he starred at her in class. But when she got to know him that was not the case. The two grew close as the curly hair boy helped her try to watch the evil girl who was out for her. The two even had a secret hide out, outside of school. It wasn't until one day in the hall when the girl became that monster she had seen once before. Telling her how she smelled so good and she was going to finish her once and for all. The two began to fight which the Aphrodite child was not the best at. The monster slashed and clawed to her causing her to be cut and scratched. Screaming for Geo when Geo came into the hall knocking the monster out. Run he told her which she did until she found herself far away the secret hideout the two had. Waiting for when Geo would show, the girl was bleeding but she was more scared than anything. When Geo showed up, he was badly hurt but was quick to tell her she was no longer safe here. Evelyn was confused at first but he told her to trust him and come to camp half-blood. Going to her foster family, they told her she was crazy and that she was nothing but a liar. Packing her things they tried to lock her in the room when she heard a knock at the window. Seeing Geo telling her to hurry up. Grabbing her things she pointed to the lock on the outside of the window for Geo to break. Finding a rock he broke the lock which she unlocked herself as well, pushing the window open to fleeing with Geo from one of the many places she had called home. Geo took her to half-blood hill which the journey was far from her place in Virginia. The girl was no one to workout or exercise so the trip exhausted her. It was only when they ran into a monster or two did she push herself to get to this camp. Once she did, she learned all about the Gods and how they had children with the mortals. Later that night, Evelyn was claimed by Aphrodite as her child. Part of her was angry with her mom as how could she let such a tragic thing happen to her and her dad. Over the next few years she began to learn to fight and defend herself at the bare minimum but mostly she spent time with her siblings. Evelyn could always be found around the camp reading one of her dad's novels no matter how hard it was for her. She too craves to be known fully and to be loved for her and not her beauty. As many at the camp made it clear that was what she was good more. As boys came and went who claimed they loved her but she would know it was only true infatuation with her looks. Was she destined to have a tragedy as his father did? Personality Evelyn is a fire cracker of a personality that lights up the room when she walks in but most just see the beauty. She is bubbly as she loves to get to know people and their story. Hoping that they too would want to know her. When she feels others being distant she can become shy and pull away as to fear of getting hurt once more. Being a child of Aphrodite she loves to look in the mirror as sadly it is one of the only places she feels she has power or any worth. Her love language is quality of time and words of affirmation as she never got that as a child. She longs to be loved for the real her inside who is weird and corky but only Geo and a few others have seen that side of her. She had only been in the states for 2 years, when something crazy scary happened. Which turned her life upside down. Her 12th birthday had just passed when her and James were walking to his house after school. Something flashed passed her and she froze, blinking her eyes she looked at James "did you see that?" she asked him. But before he could answer her, she was knocked back onto the ground by a huge furry looking monster. She screams for James, who was already running at the monster, and he had horns. Her eyes couldn't believe what she was seeing, all she knew was she was scared to death. Scooting on her hands and butt, she tried to get away, as she watched in horror. She had no idea what was happening or what her best friend just turned into. After a few minutes James killed the monster and was back to normal, coming to her side, taking her hand to pick her up. "it's time" he said to her. She was so confused "time for what?" she questioned. He lead her home, saying he would tell her at the same time he told her parents. Once they got to her house, they walked in and he sat her down on the couch. Mrs. Adam's was the first one to see her daughter who looked like a ghost. Her mom came running to her, asking if everything was ok, and all Julia could say was "monster" Her mom looked at James in questioning. He asked her to get Mr. Adams into the room and he would explain everything. Mr. and Mrs. Adam's were in shock, they couldn't believe what they were hearing, and they wanted more proof. They thought James was just making stuff up. Julia, didn't know what to believe, she never knew her birth parents, so she had no idea. But when James said going to a camp would get her claimed by her Godly parent, she was kind of curious. She loved her adopted family, but the chance at getting to know at least one of her parents was an exciting thought. In order to convince her parents, James showed them his true self, and they almost fainted. But after being convinced and they were thankful he was around to help their daughter, they talked with Julia. Coming to the conclusion that she could go to the camp, but she needed to continue to go to school. She agreed and James even said that, its works fine because the camp is actually here in New York. Julia packed her belongings, and said her goodbyes for now. She was excited to find out who her mom/dad is. Getting their didn't take long. As she approached the gates, she looked at James in shock as she tried to grasp how real this all was. He escorted her in, bring her to the house. He told her to wait here until the bonfire, which is where she will finally know who her mom/dad is at least. Personality Julia is a compassionate person. She cares for her family and friends, and is always willing to help wherever she can. Julia can be a very outspoken person, and tells it like it is. She has no filter. 16. Samantha Adams Biography Austin Adams was a man of great ambition cursed with terrible luck. Raised in a Georgian family where success seemed to come as naturally as breathing, he became somewhat of the black sheep for the fact that he never managed to accomplish much. His one saving grace was his strong desire for civil service and it was here that he managed some accomplishment in running for local office. Through hard work he had managed to win election to the city council. Taking joy in his role as public service Adams set his sights even higher. It was no secret the current congressman was greatly unpopular. This was the chance Austin had been waiting for to climb the political ladder. What should have been a walk in the park instead became anything but. With only a few months left until Election Day, Austin knew he was certain to face another defeat. It would take a miracle to pull out a victory and for once in his life the fates would grant him one. One day in a fit of fury Austin fired his campaign manager. The next day, a striking young woman walked into the campaign office to apply for the vacant position. Austin was immediately struck by the way this mysterious woman presented herself. In interviewing her he thought she’d seen her way through many successful campaigns; trusting his gut Austin gave her the position. The next few days were a whirlwind of change as this woman spoke with such wisdom and tactical experience that he could not help but soak it all in. “Politics is no different than war, '' she used to joke. Austin shot up in the polls guided by the woman that the staff had nicknamed “the General”. He found himself drawing closer to her too, drawn not only by his desire to learn but to her beauty. On election night while his staff was watching the results, the two of them were busy joining in what could only be described as a thought provoking conversation. That morning was a hazy blur for the newly elected congressman and he couldn’t exactly recall what had happened last night. Shockinging answers would soon come in the form of a baby girl and a letter that appeared in his office later that afternoon. He would never see Athena again but she had given him two gifts; a daughter and the wisdom to succeed in whatever he put his mind to. Over the several years that followed Congressman Adams became Senator Adams. He grew in influence as many sought him out for his sage advice in many dangerous political situations. At his side nearly every moment of this journey was his beautiful young daughter Samantha; dubbed “Georgia's delight” by the citizens who loved her dearly. There was not a room that did not immediately light up when she walked into it. Her father did his best to impart the wisdom and virtue he himself had learned onto her and like him she soaked it up. Whereas school was a challenge for Samantha, her father was gracious, remembering how he had struggled too. She did excel in history and ancient languages spending many nights reading Greek tales to her father in his study. On one of these reading nights when she was twelve she had just settled into the chapter for that night when a terrible form crashed through the window of his father’s study window. A monster the likes of which she had only ever read in stories stood before her rearing up and ready to attack. Samantha’s mouth hung agape as she sat there frozen in absolute terror. Closing her eyes in fear she only heard, not saw, what happened next; a metallic sound, clanging, horrible screams and then silence. She felt her father’s arms wrap around her as he called out her name trying to break her out of her shock. When she opened her eyes she saw one of her father’s security detail standing over the monster, scimitar in hand. It was Jeqos, a personal bodyguard who had recently been assigned to her; and now had saved her life. It had never made much sense to her why he kept the sword close to him but now she began to suspect why. “Sir, we need to talk” he said to her father, a tone of urgency she had never heard before. In the conversations that followed she learned so much about her past that had always puzzled her. The satyr, for that is what he was, explained to her father how she would need to go to a place called Camp Half-Blood. The next morning Samantha put on a brave face, said goodbye to her father and got in Jeqos’ car. Upon arriving at camp she was claimed by Athena as one of her own during the bonfire. Excited for the new opportunities that would present themselves she still felt the pang of sadness for having to live away from her father for the first time ever. Her first couple years at camp were the hardest for her as she had never been away from her father for any extended period of time like this before. Fighting back the feelings of homesickness proved to be a challenge but one that was made easier when she began to make friends. Unsurprisingly, the kids she grew closest to were her fellow half-sisters in the Athena Cabin. She found them to be of a similar like mindedness to herself and value the same things that she did. Over the years she became somewhat of a motherly type figure for the younger Athena girls of the cabin teaching them the values she believed to be most important; whether they wanted to hear it or not. If there were any fellow campers she found herself opposed to it was in the Aphrodite kids. They were to be her perfect foil in every way. Where she valued restraint, chastity and wisdom, they seemed to revel in passions and living life in the moment. She often found herself unable to resist speaking out against their actions, especially the way they openly flirted around with other campers. Because of this there was usually a lot of arguing between them and she often found herself on the receiving end of many of their pranks and teasing. Over time, she grew more comfortable in her life at camp though she’d still visit home whenever the opportunity allowed. Camp life had allowed her to grow socially in a way that her sheltered campaign life could not allow for. She especially took to the physical training aspects of camp, finding herself to be quite the athlete but still occasionally struggling in anything revolving around direct one on one competition. This was mostly due to her either over thinking her plan of attack or going into a challenge assuming it would be an easy win. Regardless, her skills slowly developed over the years until had become a formidable opponent. Personality Samantha, like her father, believes in wisdom and virtue above all else. Believing that strict devotion to discipline is what keeps mind/body pure and faultless. Because of this belief set she often looks down on those she deems too impulsive or free spirited. This has gotten her in trouble plenty of times in camp and though she does not mean to be cruel it has been difficult for her to make many friends because of that. Those that do work their way past her iron shield quickly see the positive side of her sincerity and loyal devotion to her friends. About Me Birthdate: May 16th, 2003 Likes: Her father, virtue, sincerity, tactics, reading Dislikes:Dishonesty, promiscuity (Aphrodite kids), being called Sam (she’s not a beer) Family: Mom: Athena Dad: Austin Adams Siblings: None Other: N/A Happy Thoughts: Childhood memories of spending time with her dad on the campaign trail Nightmares: Freezing in a fight or flight situation, Fatal Flaw:Because of her strict devotion to virtue and integrity she often assumes she’s better than those who “give into baser instincts”. Treating her with contempt compared to her kids. Sage felt like an outsider in her own family. It also did not help as she grew up with weird things beginning to happen. Which Helen loved to blame Sage for, as her father never told her the truth about Sage's mom. It was her friend who lived down the road, Basil, who stuck by her side. The two could be found hanging out at local park when an animal(monster) came after them. She had never seen a dog like that before which scared her. But that was just the beginning as she got closer and closer to the age of 10. The attacks continued until one day Sage got hurt by a Hellhound. Basil fought the creature off then he helped her to her house. Seeing that her friend had horns he explained he was a Satyr here to help her. The two made it to the house. Sage's father was pushed to his limit with all the weird things that happened with her that he yelled at her that he never asked to be her dad. With tears in her eyes, Basil told her dad that there was a safe place for kids like Sage at Camp Half-Blood. Happy to have her away not causing trouble, the girl packed her bags and followed her friend to camp. Basil told her all about the God's and how she was a Demi-God on the way to camp. Sage wanted to know as much as she could so that she could find her place in the camp. Arriving when she was 10 years old, Sage was not claimed until 3 years later on her 13th birthday. Happy to find out her mother was none other than Athena. Being a seasoned camper, Sage can be found helping out around the camp year around as her family did not want her home. 18. Loukas Makris biography The events leading up to Loukas’s conception were ones of tragedy, betrayal and unquenchable greed. His father, Darius, was from a long lineage of Greek magic practitioners that went back so far their exact origins were unknown, even to themselves. Magic ran deep in the blood of this family; or so it used to. Sometime during the 16th century the heir of this bloodline set his sites on the riches and possibilities of the New World. Later patriarchs would speculate if the decline of their power was due to the distance put between them and their gods or if the world was simply becoming a little less magical. Regardless of the cause, by the time Darius had come into manhood, his power was but a fraction of his forefathers. Barely manifesting in simple parlor tricks and basic illusions. However, for what Darius lacked in actual ability he more than made up for in charm and seduction. Taking on the title of Magus he fashioned himself an extravagant lifestyle around making others believe he held actual power and through the right tricks gained a considerable amount of local influence, ultimately attracting a following of acolytes and “magic obsessed groupies”. The indulgence of the parties he threw and the life he lived would have satisfied any man, but the Magus was no ordinary man. For every successful party trick he pulled there were half a dozen failed attempts at real magic and one night the Magus had had enough. Several decades earlier the Magus’ forefather had sealed away the family’s greatest and most arcane artifacts. He did so out of concern that the family simply no longer possessed the ability to safely use them; a concern the Magus did not share. The only thing greater than his hurt pride was his sheer arrogance. Thus he broke the seal and grabbed several objects of power, items not used since the world was young and the gods daily walked among men. When the moon was full and at its height his assembled acolytes began their ritual. What exactly transpired in those following moments few can say and most who witnessed it are dead, but what has been determined is that at first something went right…and then very very wrong. When the noise died down and the wailing subsided the Magus looked up to see a glorious figure burning bright in the room, straining to rein in the wild unleashed magic. For a few painful moments it almost looked like she couldn’t, but then in a final flash of light it was over. Darius, humbled, now stood facing a very angry and wrathful witch. His misplaced spell had clearly violated the order of things and this mysterious witch had intervened just in time. Knowing his next words would determine his life he acted in the only way he knew how; he turned up the charm. No one knows the words that ultimately passed between them, but when all was said and done this witch took a certain pity on a man who simply yearned to reach the achievements of his ancestors. Over the next week she became a guest of his house, first learning about the man, then teaching him a few harmless spells of real magic and finally in a single night of passion, sharing a bed with him. Not long after though, having had her fill of him she grew bored, disappearing one night while he was away in his study. Nine months later though the result of that passion appeared in his study; a baby boy with a note attached. A demigod son Hecate had named Loukas. An ordinary man would see this as a wake up call of responsibility, but the Magus saw only an opportunity. Real magic had come back to the family. What should have been a son became a personal project. A baby that should have been held and comforted but was poked and studied. Magic that should have been nourished and encouraged was a battery for the Magus’ ambition for real power. So it was that the boy Loukas grew up not in a warm home but under the cold stare and tutelage of the Magus. A stare that grew colder as his father realized his son’s magic would never bring him the power he desired. This was not a pleasant life for Loukas save for the joy he found in his one and only friend. An acolyte named Wruk who had joined the order when Loukas was only eleven and unlike all the others was very kind to the boy. Where the Magus only taught him to despise himself, the acolyte tried to encourage him to love his gift; and he might have succeeded but for the Magus’ final act of greed. As if his previous attempt had taught him nothing the greedy Magus sought once more to achieve real power with a spell. This time would surely be different for while most of the old objects of power had been destroyed in his last attempt he had something better. He had Loukas; Hecate’s blessing in human form. Once again the acolytes gathered, the runes were drawn, offerings made and a terrified Loukas began to read the words. He had always struggled in his private tutoring sessions but for reasons that made no sense to him the ancient Greek he now read out loud proved no trouble. Once again the Magu’s arrogance would get in the way, this time fatally. For this spell did sumon power, but not in the form he expected. With a loud bang a grotesque monster appeared before them all. One by one it tore into the acolytes devouring and tearing through them. Fighting through the haze and the terror Loukas tried to collect himself just long enough to fight back. Taking a deep breath he lunged toward the monster, his magic at the ready. He had no idea though that the magical energies coming from him would react so poorly with those conjured forth. The reaction created a loud explosion throwing men and beast backwards as the house began to collapse in on itself. That’s all Loukas remembered before everything went black. That he did awake at all was because of Wruk, the acolyte was in actuality a satyr in disguise. So much was explained in the conversations that followed; his actual parentage, the origin of his abilities, the sad news of his father’s death from the explosion. His life was going to be very different from now on as Wruk explained Camp Half Blood; his new home and new beginning. Upon arriving at camp he was claimed by Hecate as one of her own during the bonfire. Afterwards he stayed at camp as a seasoned camper helping around as he could. Personality Loukas is quiet and reserved by nature, outwardly he might seem standoffish but those who get to know him will quickly see a softer caring side. Those willing to deepen their friendship with him further will learn just how goofy he can be too. The most important thing to know about Loukas is that he is a HUGE nightowl, finding peace through thoughtful reflection during the nighttime. Often sneaking out for a late night run is his outlet for processing the day’s events. His nocturnal nature is in large part due to his unique parentage. His mother being a moon/nighttime goddess imparted a bizarre foil to her half blood son’s enhanced universal abilities. During the day he’s not that much more enhanced then the average human, but as the day wanes, and the sun sets his powers grow as the night takes hold; peaking at midnight before slipping away again in the early morning. The phases of the moon also seem to act as modifiers to this ability as well. Finally, due to his traumatic upbringing he has a strong dislike for his magical gifts and much prefers to spend his time in athletics rather than magical presuts. 19. Vienna Pimm biography Vienna's mother (Maria) worked at her parents’ vineyard in California when she met Dionysus, Greek God of Wine, Madness and a number of other things. The poor woman suffered from hallucinations since a young age and her parents kept her at the farm to ensure her safety. Dionysus came to the farm to sample the wine and also cure Maria of her madness. Once cured of her madness, Maria was ever so grateful that she doted upon Dionysus who found her hard to resist. After this they had a brief interlude together before Dionysus left to return to Camp Half-Blood and complete his banishment. Dionysus had made no secret of his true nature while with her, though, and when Maria told her parents she was going to have a child of a god, they didn't believe her and sent her to a psychiatric hospital for treatment, assuming the madness had returned. The time in hospital was not kind on Maria, who was now cured of her previous hallucinations but suffering with the treatment she was receiving. When she gave birth to her child, Vienna, the baby was taken from her and soon after Maria lied to the doctors in order to get back to her child. She was released from the hospital and for a few years, looked after her child at her parents farm. However, she could never forgive her parents for what they had subjected her to, so when Vienna was old enough to walk, they moved to Las Vegas together. Maria gave Vienna every freedom in childhood, never wanting her daughter to lose her freedom like she had. As a result, Vienna became a truly unruly child, running away from her home and doing whatever she could to be obnoxious. Even then her mother wouldn’t discipline her and Vienna began to wonder what it would take to get her mother to actually pay attention to her. She was nearly 10 when she escalated beyond what her mother could even handle, however. While on one of her runaway attempts, Vienna found herself being chased by some creatures that hid themselves in the wind. She swore she saw their faces as she ran. And they terrified her. The young girl crashed her bike off the side of the road, falling down a very rocky hill, and was lucky to be alive when she was found. A man—if he could be called that with his goat legs—dragged her out and took her home. The next thing Vienna recalled was him having a conversation with her mother, saying ‘it’s time, Maria. Vienna came out of the room and demanded answers. Maria had always been too scared to tell her daughter about her Dad, for fear of being locked up again. Once Vienna learned of her true parentage, she realized just how much her mother had done for her. She agreed to go with the satyr to this Camp Half-Blood place for the summer. Mr. D—who it turned out was Dionysus, her father—claimed her upon her arrival so she could join her siblings in their cabin. It was, perhaps, the only real kindness he ever showed her while she was there, though. During the Titan War she tried to maintain a low profile. In truth she couldn't much decide what side to join and therefore was on the fence for most of the war. In the end she decided that the only real family she had left was her Dionysus siblings, Castor and Pollux, and she helped them in the fight. Of course she killed a few friends and a few foe but by this time she had already dealt with a lot and it didn't effect her too much. Vienna would return to camp off and on for the summers and school breaks every year. Until she was 16 and decided to return home to see her mother for the summer. However, upon coming home, she found her mother gone, killed by a monster who had been after Vienna. Vienna went a little crazy and trashed the placed. She was reluctant to return to the camp, but she had nowhere else to go. Upon her return Vienna took to partying and drinking. Eventually she fell into that rhythm and it became what she was known for. She learned to live through the parties and having a good time and slowly she began to enjoy herself more. As more trauma added itself into her life with the Second Giant War and the Second Demigod Civil War, Vienna only found herself self-medicating more and more. It took Lilythe, James, Azrael, and Larissa holding an intervention for Vienna to realize how much of a problem her go-to coping mechanism had been. At the age of 21 however, she decided she needed some normalcy in her life and left the camp to experience one year as a legal adult. During that time she found herself back out in California, and subsequently New Rome. Her one year quickly turned into a few more as she started attending university out there. She changed her major several times and never really settled on anything. She might have stayed there permanently, if it weren’t for Azrael coming to get her. He explained that Lilythe—Vienna’s best friend from Camp Half-Blood—seemed to need her help. Azrael seemed to be convinced that Shadow’s return had created something unhealthy for Lilythe. After everything that Lilythe had done for her, Vienna couldn’t bring herself to leave her hanging when she was needed most. Personality Vienna is a party animal. When she was younger she was wild as she was acting out to get her mother's attention. She would not listen to anybody and was constantly in trouble. She loves to have a good time but her good time often involves hair-brained schemes and high chance of injury. Vee was reckless, and to this day still has a significant impulsive streak in her as a result of her wild younger years. Vienna has tried to become more responsible over the years. She actively avoids using alcohol when she’s upset now, but she still likes to party and have fun. The young woman is a bit of a handful, and still talks just a little too loud and speaks what is on her mind. She can pull people out of their shells and get them to be loose and have some fun. Vee’s playful, hilarious, reckless, brave, and one of the most loyal friends you could ever ask for. You just have to be willing to put up with her more chaotic side. 20. Gael Masterson biography There isn't much on the Masterson family as a whole. From what we do know they were a very interesting family. Always traveling in pairs and never alone. It was a shock to most when the well-known family was murdered one night before Halloween. However, there was only one person barely alive when the cops got there with the ambulance. The woman was rushed to the hospital where she was pronounced dead but there were more issues as the woman was pregnant. They rushed to get the baby out, and at 12:06 he was pulled out of his dead mother making him the sole survivor of the Mastersons' murder. Growing up he was in he was involved in many fights and things that were happening around him. He found himself being friends with more of the freaks in town. By the time he was eleven years old he had run away from the boy's home that he had been living in since he was born. He ran around the streets, stealing and causing people to be scared. This seemed to be his specialty, which helped out some of the older kids when they wanted to get the younger kids food and clothes when they needed them. The next year he found, or more like he was found by another person by the name of Gabe. Gabe was a little like him, only not at the same time. Gabe would always talk about a camp that he could go to and Gael would always end up blowing off the suggestion when it was brought up because he didn't want to be in another place. He felt free where he was. The months leading up to his thirteenth birthday were interesting for him. His friend Gabe still wanted to go to the camp which was still not appealing to him. It was in the month of October when things started going to crap for the boys that were hanging out. Gael was hanging out with Gabe alone when they were attacked by someone or rather something. It took a moment before Gael was able to realize what it was. A monster. To Gael's surprise, Gabe was able to defeat the monster with a sword that he didn't know he had, but that wasn't the only thing that was wrong with the whole sense that was playing out in front of him. The boy had horns on his head. Once the monster lay dead, or what he thought was dead, Gabe ran over to him, telling him that he really needed to get to the camp he was talking about. Gael didn't really say much at all, only nodding while looking at the monster that had just been killed. Only hearing that it would come back again later. This broke his eye contact with the monster and started asking questions right away. Gabe told him as much as he was able to, how he was a satyr and got him to camp half-blood as soon as he was able to see as he live a little farther away from New York. There were still questions coming to his mind. He was a child of a god but which god? How would he know which god...and how would the god know him if they had never set eyes on him before. Soon they arrived at camp half-blood and he was put in the big house where most of his questions were answered. There were still more but those would be cleared when he started getting through the camp. He was brought to the bonfire just like everyone else and was soon claimed by his father Phobos. Which was a shock, now he knew part of her parentage was. He would do more to find out more about his family later. As he grew up, he tried to help out where he was needed, helping out his siblings more than anything. Supplemental information Mother is the oldest Masterson child still living at home going to college and ended up pregnant by a one night stand after a party. Family was murdered by a monster Family was pagan and worshiped Hecate, which was a reason they were able to see through the mist and said monster didn't like it. Personality Gael is pretty much your average boy turning into a man. He is still trying to find himself. He is a very flirty person. He gets along with mostly Ares and Aphrodite's kids; he thinks they are his father's parents. Though he lives with Hermes cabin, so they are okay with him. He loves to fight and will be able to have fun with Ares's children. He also has a thing about showing people fear when he is pissed off. He normally keeps to himself or stays with his siblings/ those in his cabin. He looked around, but didn't see anyone. Grabbing the child, bring it into his house he noticed the note. The note read "Our one-night stand resulted in a pregnancy. Fast forward to her 6th grade year, she was not excited to go into middle school, she hated school. Krystal was in trouble constantly thanks to getting into fights with other students. So her first day of 6th grade, she dreaded, until this boy came up to her at lunch introducing himself as Howard. She was skeptical of him at first, no one ever wanted to be her friend. Krystal gave him the chance though, and she was happy she did. Krystal and Howard became the best of friends. She and Mrs. Rose got into a huge fight. Krystal ran out of the house, headed to find Howard. It was snowing and she didn't grab her jacket. She wasn't to far away, but far enough that she was slowing down from trying to breath, she was shivering, with tears running down her face. As she walked, a shadowing figure appeared, and it seemed to be running at her, as it got closer it looked like it was growing in size. Her eyes went wide and she let out a scream, she knew she was closer to Howard's and hoped that he might hear her scream. The creature was huge and terrifying it had large horns on its head like a ram, as it come into view. She couldn't run, she just slowly started to back away, as her heart bounded out of her chest. Just as the creature lunged for her, Howard came out of nowhere, between her and the creature. She wiped her tears away, as she stared at the boy she swore was Howard, but he had horns. After what felt like forever, Howard defected this huge ram like creator, then proceeded to walk over to Krystal, and comforted her. He brought her home, even after she protested. He really didn't even have to explain anything to Mrs. Rose, she shoved an already packed luggage at them, and said good reddens. Krystal lived in Kentucky, so it was far, but not as far as other states, so that was a good thing she guessed. Once they got to New York, he lead her to where the Camp was. She didn't want to leave the camp and didn't want to think about the next big step in her life so she broke things off Dustin, leaving him and herself heartbroken as well. Personality Krystal is a very competitive child of Nike. It doesn't matter if its a race with random people or sibling or it could be a simple card game that she is wanting to win. She is a very confident girl, always going after what she wants and knows that she can more than likely get what she wants if she tries hard enough for it. Just like being confident, she is very determined in what she does. Krystal is very teasing when it comes to a certain person in her life. Dustin. She loves to tease him until they get into an agreement or one of them folds. She loves to be able to tease him since she still very much likes Dustin. 22. Axel Gauthier biography Axel's life has always been one of competition. It started, he supposed, with his stepfather. Mr. Rainer - as he called the man - had entered the boy's life at the ripe old age of four. He was a master at chess. In fact, one of Axel's earliest memories of Mr. Rainer was helping him move all of the shiny game trophies into the new home. At first this had proved a way for them to bond. The man taught Axel to play, and the two would spend evenings in friendly competition. But over time the mood began to shift. There had always been a small issue with Axel being a sore loser, but it was generally excused due to his young age. The real problems started when he started winning. His first victory came at age 6. A fluke, Mr. Rainer said. Obviously, the champion had let the child win. And yet there was an inexplicable hint of surprise at the moment of triumph. By 8 the kid was winning consistently, and each victory seemed to build on the tension. Mr. Rainer began treating him differently. Less like a son and more like an annoyance. Suddenly every childhood mistake was a malicious crime worthy of punishment. Axel could do nothing right in his stepfather's eyes. Nothing except for winning - to win was the ultimate way to prove oneself right, so how could that be seen as wrong? Yet every win just seemed to make the problems worse. His father stepped in where he could at first, but he was often busy with work and rarely home to witness his husband's controlling nature. Things came to a breaking point when his younger step-brother - Mr. Rainer's biological child - became old enough to join in their games. This child, Elliot, was supposed to be the prodigy. After all, he had champions blood running though his veins. Yet at 6, he did not find the same victory that Axel had. At 8, he could barely contend with the Junior Chess Club, much less with his father. Axel, who had been forbidden from joining the club himself, tried to help his little brother and give him advice at first, but this only further enraged Mr. Rainer. He accused the child of trying to make his brother look bad. And while this wasn't true, it wasn't exactly unfathomable either. Axel was still a terrible loser. So while he would offer advice and help, he never once let Elliot win. As the two boys grew, the favoritism grew with them. Elliot got the first pick of everything, the most attention, the best rewards. Nothing Axel did could measure up to his brother simply existing, no matter how many times he "won" in life. He had better grades, was better at sports, would prove himself again and again and yet it was never enough. He became bitter and resentful toward Mr. Rainer, and in turn the man turned from snide and neglectful to angry and abusive. His father, by this point, had fallen ill. He spent much of his time in treatment or too exhausted to interact with the rest of the family. But not to worry, right? Mr. Rainer would watch the kids. He would take care of everything. He was a hero in her eyes, and a villain in Axel's. His father was in no position to defend him, so he began to defend himself. He'd get into screaming matches with the man, and eventually into physical altercations. These he would not win. But every time he tried to bring it up, his father would simply lament about how he wished all his boys could get along. At school he would often get into fights, and he wasn't always sure why. Sometimes he knew he had started it, as anyone who dared to bully or mess with him would quickly be challenged and defeated in a schoolyard scrap. But sometimes... he wasn't quite sure. He'd be joking around or just hanging out, and people just grew unreasonably angry at something he said. So angry that they would challenge him, even though that never ended well for them. Then again, was there truly anything "unreasonable" for which to attack Axel? Mr. Rainer sure didn't seem to think so. Then one fateful day, a 12-year-old Axel was suspended from school. Fighting again. This was it - a real loss. A real solid reason for Mr. Rainer to scream at him, an actual event that would disappoint his father again. Going home would bring so much pain for him - so he didn't. Instead he went to a local park. The place was in an unpopular neighborhood and was usually abandoned, but today an old man sat there playing a game of chess. Eager for a taste of victory after such defeating day, Axel sat down across from him. "Wanna play?" the man inquired, a wry smile crossing his face. Axel nodded, too weary from his own thoughts to notice that something was off. The man's face suddenly began to contort. He revealed long, sharp teeth and eyes black as night. "Funny-" his voice sounded stranger now, almost otherworldly. "It's not often a godling falls right into my lap!" Then he lunged. Axel's mind was shaken, but his reflexes weren't. He grabbed the chessboard and threw it upward, creating a makeshift shield as he tumbles out of the creature's reach. "Ahhhh..." it hissed. "Thissss one has skillssss..." What one looked like legs began slithering under the table, preparing another attack. Axel scrambled around looking for something, anything to use as a weapon. He managed to snatch up a fallen tree branch just as the thing began its assault. Normally such a thing would be too heavy for a twelve-year-old to lift, but perhaps due to the adrenaline of the moment it was posing him no issue. He brandished it in front of him as the snake-man advanced. But it never came within striking distance. As the creature reared its head, an arrow came flying through the foliage. It pierced the thing's left ear, protruding from its head as it crumpled to the ground. Before Axel could so much as react, a horned man emerged from the bushes, mumbling incoherently and holding a longbow in one hand. "Geezus kid," the man spoke. "You good?" "A-are you a demon?" Axel asked suspiciously, hand still clasped around his tree branch. "What? Of course not! What exactly are you accusing me of-" "You have horns." "Aw, crap! My hat!" The man grasped at his matted hair with a look of utter panic before rummaging around in the bush he had emerged from. "Where is it? Where is it? Ah! That was close. He pulled out a battered cap and placed it atop his head. It looked lopsided and strange upon the horns, and Axel couldn't help but stifle a laugh. Whoever this guy was, he didn't seem to be a threat. Not that h would lower his impromptu weapon anytime soon. It still had a bow. "Okayyy..." the kid said slowly. "So what, are you then?" "You really don't know? I figured you'd had training and all since you fight okay. I'm a Satyr. Say-tur. Not a demon, got it? And if you don't know that, you'd better stick with me. I'll take you home and we can talk to your parents about-" "No!" Axel exclaimed, tightening his fists once more. "I'm not going home!" The Satyr looked puzzled. Well I can't just take ya to camp without letting them know. And if you stay out here well-" he motioned to the crumpled body of snake-man. "There's more where that guy came from." "I dunno where this camp is or what's going on here, but I'm not going back." The seriousness in his voice must have had an effect, since the man's face softened. "Easy kid, I ain't lookin to fight ya. I dunno what's going on at home, but I can't just leave you out here to the monsters. Come with me, and we'll call your folks on the way, deal?" Axel looked at him suspiciously. He didn't know anything about a camp, or monsters, or Satyrs, or anything going on really. But he knew he didn't want to go home, and if this guy tried anything he was pretty confident he could take him down before he got far enough away to viably use that fancy bow of his. (Of course, he may have just been overconfident - that was something young Axel was prone to.) "Okay... where are we going?" "Camp Half-Blood. It's actually only about a 2 hour walk from here. Faster if we take the car but I assume you ain't gettin in a car with a stranger?" "You assume correctly. Besides, everybody walks in New York" "Fine then, but take this." He held out a small dagger. "It's nothing fancy, but better than a tree branch. And you'll need something if we run into monsters on the way." Axel took the weapon. It was nothing impressive, but something about having a blade in his hand felt right. He gave it a few test swings, then nodded. "Off to - what'd you call it?" "Camp Half-Blood." "Camp Half-Blood." Personality Axel has a tactical mind and a powerful sense of justice. He is by no means dumb, but could certainly be considered brash at times. He is not one to stay silent in the face of unfairness, even if staying quiet might earn him a better outcome. He thrives on competition and is very capable at most things he puts his mind to. He loves to win, and most often he does. He relies heavily on his mind and physical skills to carry him trough situations, and is very slow to rely on others for help. He is not unkind in general, but friendship never appears high on his list of priorities. While he doesn't pretend to be the best at everything, he does strive to be. He is, however, a terrible loser. He takes every loss to heart, beating himself up far more than is reasonable. He often becomes obsessive over challenges, trying again and again until he succeeds. He is also not the easiest person to get along with. The value he places on self-reliance can sometimes become a mistrust of others, and simple mistakes can be taken for personal attacks. Axel sometimes without realizing, pushes all the wrong buttons and creating rivals out of potential friends when interacting with people. 23. Levi Jones biography Mr. Jones, grew up wealthy, because of this he got to go to one of the best art academies around. At just 18 he was accepted, studying the art of the film industry. Growing up his parents were never very romantic to each-other, but they showed their love for each-other in their own special ways. Once he graduated he decided to start making films about love stories. Mr. Jones study Gods and Goddesses, one that stood out was Aphrodite. He became obsessed with the thought of this Goddesses, wanting to make a movie to portray her. He worked for years on a script. Finally at 25 years old, he had the script of his dreams. Now all he had to do was find the right actor and actresses to play the roles. Mr. Jones put out a casting call, and with in a week he had hundreds of applications, mostly women wanting to audition for the lead role as Aphrodite. He sent the applicants back telling them to arrive at the theater at 9am sharp the following saturday. The day came and he sat through hundreds of auditions, each one no better than the next, they were good but not what he was looking for, for the lead role. Finally by 5pm that evening he was down to the last few. He tiredly called up the last women, "Ms. Abby". When she walked onto the stage, his eyes went wide and sat up, just the look of her made him gasp with excitement. Long story short, he made "Ms. Abby" lead role playing Aphrodite, and every day they spent together, he fell more and more in love with her. Mr. Jones finally asked her on a date, a couple months later, after rehearsal. They found themselves back at his place after diner and making love. About a month and a half later, they were still together, and he just recently found out that he was going to have to change his script around, because "Ms. Abby" was pregnant. 3 months later, he had the script fixed to include the pregnancy. He was excited and called for her from his study, to show her, but she never came in. He left his study and called for her again but no answer. He frantically ran thru his house only to realize she was gone. Mr. Jones was devastated but he had to move on, he needed this movie. He called back another applicant and set his mind to focus on getting the movie ready. Opening night was just 6 months away. Opening night was suppose to be a day after the birth of his child. Opening night had come, and he went to his study one last time to lock up, to his surprise there was a basket with a small baby in it and a note that read "Hello My dear Mr. Jones, this is your son Levi. My true name is Aphrodite." He was in shock to find out that the person he fell in love with and had a baby boy with, was the one and only Aphrodite. Mr. Jones smiled and whispered a promise to her that he would do his best to raise their son properly. Mr. Jones was an amazing father to Levi, he never had any heart ache for his love, who turned out to be the goddess he was obsessed with, but he did hope for her return one day. He honestly never lost any love for her, he just geared his love toward his son, who resembled his mother the older he got. Levi born Sept 12, 2002, grew up with a loving father, but no mother. By the time Levi was 6 years old, he started asking questions about his mother, and why his dad never found anyone else. He was very inquisitive child. Levi also quickly realized that his dad was very gullible as he thought anyways, because he could convince to get him any toy he wanted. Levi was 8.5 years old when his father met a women, and Levi actually liked her. But he soon learned from being nosey that his father was not wanting to move on, even after all these years, he still had hope for the possibility of Aphrodite coming back. This caused Levi to become upset, he didn't even know his mom, and even knowing what he knew about her, he felt it wasn't right that she left them. One day the women was over for dinner, they were sitting at the table and Levi was talking to her about his day at school. He decided to poke his nose further and asked her if she loved his father. She excitedly said yes. After dinner and the women left, Levi decided he was going to try to talk his dad into loving this women. Getting pretty much everything he wanted went to his head, and he thought he could convince to love this women too, because he did look happy with her. 6 months later, just before Levi's 9th birthday, his dad proposed to the women. Levi was excited. He soon at a beautiful step mom, who became pregnant. Levi got to welcome his baby sister into the world about a month after his 10th birthday. Levi went to a private school thanks to his dads movie making career. At the start of 5th grade he met a girl that became his best friend, they did absolutely everything together. As he continued into middle school, school became harder and harder for him. He started to get frustrated, causing him to skip classes. Soon he was getting into trouble, and his father was getting called constantly. One day the principle Mr. Rose called Levi into his office to have a serious talk with him about his behavior. As he spoke with his principle, he started telling him that he is sorry, and he would stop his bad behavior. The next time he would see him in his office was to give good news. Well a few days past and he gets in trouble by one of his teachers. This teacher calls the principle up to tell him, that Levi was coming to his office. Levi rolled his eyes, and walked into the office. But when he got there the principle was smiling. "I don't believe your teacher understands your behavior and we are going to place you with another teacher, so you don't have this trouble again" the principle says, and Levi started in disbifle "so I'm not in trouble sir?" he questions. Going through middle school, he learned that it wasn't just his dad, he could persuade others of all kinds of things. Majority of the time it worked, as long as he really wanted something. He didn't know what was going on but he loved it. He got away with not doing homework and still getting good grades, and his dad rarely ever got called. A couple of month before his thirteenth birthday something horrible happened. Levi and his best friend were walking home from the park down the street, when a monster appeared out of nowhere. Levi stops in his tracks and stares in horror. His friend though, doesn't seem as scared, she looks at Levi with concern though. In one swift movement Levi shoves his best friend to side as the monster charges him and hits him, causing him to go flying. His friend sat on the ground staring in shock, she seen a guy just shove her friend so hard he flew backwards... she couldn't move, she was so scared. Mr. Rose, walks up to the girl and pulls her up from the ground, he looks at the shocked scared girl and tells her to run, fast! As his friend took off running, Levi hurt, he tries to get up, as the monster comes at him again. A second before the monster gets to him Mr. Rose is in between them and he puts his head down raming the monster with what looked like horns. Levi stood and watched as Mr. Rose faught this monster. His mouth open in shock. After a few mins Mr. Rose was able to fight the monster off and it disappeared, or died, Levi couldn't really tell. Mr. Rose walks over to the stund Levi and nudges him to move, he lead him to his house to talk to his father. Levi sat on the couch still in shock, as he listened to Mr. Rose explain to his father about the attack on him, and how going to some camp, would help keep him safe. Mr. Jones, was sad He never thought his son would have to leave, he pondered the thought and ask "Will we ever get to see him again?" he says with tears building in his eyes. After some thought though, he wanted his son to be safe not dead, so he agreed to let Levi go. Levi not knowing what else to do and feeling as if he didn't get a say anyways, he said good bye to his father and sister and walked out the door. He followed him in silence. He had so many questions running through his head, but he couldn't get any of them out. He was still way to shocked. It took a couple days to get to the camp but when he arrived he noticed a big sign saying camp Halfblood. That was when it really hit him that he was a child of a goddess. After he got to the blue house he was then told more information about what the camp was really like. It was after he had all his questions out of the way that he was brought to the bonfire and claimed by his mother. His first day at camp he meet Mateo, who he became fast friends with because they had some things in common like getting into trouble. Growing up Levi decided that he wanted to say at camp the whole year around only going to see his father every so often bringing Mateo along with him to have fun around the city. As he got older he was always getting into mischief with Mateo and flirting with the girls around camp. He soon fell into a rhythm that seemed comfortable and helped out wherever he was needed. Personality Levi portrays himself as a very self obsessed person, who only enjoys attention from women when it benefits him. He has one male friend, only because he is the only person who can put up with his antics. Levi does have a soft side, but the only people to ever see his soft side is his family. He doesn't want anyone thinking he is weak, Mateo, has only seen bits just from how Levi acts towards his family. He thinks very highly of himself, because he knows he can get pretty much any girl he wants in his grasps. Levi can be a huge asshole, but even so his charming good looks, trap them in anyways. He doesn't like romantic relationships, he finds them to boring. 24. REBECCA ELORA JONES biography Rebecca was born in Westminister, London, but soon after she was born, her mother passed away. Her mother's best friend became her godmother and decided to take care of her. Her godmother and godfather has a son who became her older brother. She never knew who her father was, neither did her godmother's family. Although being an adopted child, she grew up with a fairly good family environment, except that her school years had been a rough one. She was seen as a rare kid in school, outstanding in sports and arts, and is known to be a good singer in music classes or casually humming in school. It was out of norm so her fellow classmates tease her sometimes due to her odd fond of singing and drawing in class. She was caught drawing a huge mural at the walls of the school one time, although she wasn't aware of what she was drawing, and the drawing was picturing some flawless scenery with the sun and birds, orangey and bright, as if it lights up the world. It was as if it brings some light to her, and healing mentally. Maybe there was someone out there wanted her to be happy as well. Then there was one time when she saw one of the students fainted in the middle of a sports event, she rushed to sing to her, unaware of her abilities but as if her body and soul told to do so. The student awoke from unconsciousness after her healing by singing worked. None of the other schoolmates seen her ability but what they saw instead was that Rebecca hold a warm cloth over the student, holding a bottle of water and waited as long as the student woke up. Since then her schoolmates showed some respect for her and never teased her again. Soon after her adopted family had another son, in which they spent more time in him than solving Rebecca's unexplained abilities, and Rebecca continue in her growing abilities on her own. Her elementary school years were short and she had to move to the US where her adopted parents work and cope with their living. She grew up with athletic abilities, especially archery, although her singing was more frequent. Sometimes she even sang hymns she hasn't heard before from all musics known in the world. Rebecca's adopted older brother was shocked to see her abilities but kept this secret for her, along with the rest of the family. Until at the age of 12, she had numerous attacks from monsters, which she told her family about, but they had no clue about the incidents happened, neither did her own mother's family, especially her aunt, who had not seen her sister's relationship partner before, even if she heard about the man, she would have forgotten as the encounter was very brief. At the day of her 12th birthday, she was met by a satyr after saving her from another monster attack, who explained to her that she was a demigod carrying all the odd abilities as she grew, and her father was actually a god, Apollo, who had an affair with her biological mother, same as other demigods, to her disappointment however, although feeling a bit better at the thought of her other demigod siblings. After coming to know the nature of her birth, she wasn’t shocked however, but she decided to live at the camp they provide for demigods, and train her own abilities. Her godmother's family agreed, although her adopted brothers would miss her a lot and she promised to be back occasionally. The satyr, Nate, had kept contact of her after their encounter, and was more than pleased to help her anytime she needed, and they became friends after. Soon after, the satyr brought her to camp, and join the rest of her family. When Rebecca was 13, her abilities grew a lot, this time she was able to mentally draw on papers, and has a big dream of being a doctor. Or maybe an artist who can draw to help people in both body and soul. A soulful artist. Personality Rebecca is outgoing, friendly, honest, and will sometimes get too worked up when getting too many inspirations in art and music. She loves singing especially old hymns, plays the piano and surprisingly the harp. She has a lot of healing abilities through singing and drawing as well. She is bright and always eager to help instead of putting people in danger. In high school, she is good in language, biology and other sciences since she has a liking towards being a doctor. She also has knowledge of all plagues and diseases which really inspired her adopted family with her abilities. She joins the archery competition at school as well for her fond of the sport. During the holidays, she spend most of her time hanging out with her brothers as they cared for her a lot, as much as her godparents. About Me Birthdate: May 23 2008 Likes: Music, arts, biology, parties and large events, truth, sunlight and bright places, archery, dancing, camping, hanging out with her adopted brothers Dislikes: Prejudices, darkness, lies and deception, diseases that cause harm to people, fights, abandonment, ignorance Family: Mom: (Biological mom) Catherine Jones, 40, deceased (Godmother/mom's best friend) Julia Carter nee Adams , 40 Dad: (Godfather) Johnathan Carter, 42 (Biological Dad) Apollo Siblings: (God-brothers) Peter Carter, 16 Maverick Carter, 6 Other: (Biological mum's sister) Aunt, Lily Jones, 36 Happy Thoughts: Bright sunny day, sound of the ocean waves that form peaceful rhythms, music and arts, chilling at the bars by the beach, her brothers Nightmares: Being neglected by her peers at school, being homeless Fatal Flaw: Inferior with her peers, monsters, snakes, sensitive to sound PLAYED BY: VIV FACE CLAIM: EMILIA JONES
  25. Emberlynn Knight biography Emberlynn Knight had always been an "odd duck", especially in the eyes of her adoptive parents. They were, after all, an exceedingly normal family. A religious middle-class sort that valued conformity, modesty, and outward morality... complete with a white picket fence. The Knights were neither aggressive nor neglectful, but they were quite strict. Their daughters grew up under strict supervision. Their clothing, their friends, their studies, their hobbies - all kept under constant supervision. Such methods worked well for their older daughter. 15-year-old Katherine Knight was exactly the child they had hoped to raise. She was a model student, a volunteer in her church and community, obedient to authority and involved enough in her all-honors high school to be a shoe-in for any college applications. On the outside at least, Katherine was perfect. Emberlynn... was not. Helena The younger sister was not a bad child by any means, but she was certainly different. Her elementary grades were average, and she had a terrible habit of "talking back" when she felt things were unfair. She enjoyed many extracurriculars - choir and drama club in particular - but was more motivated to hang out with her friends there than to add anything to her future resume. She was outspoken and cheerful, and try as they might her parents could not get her to "take things seriously". Ember loved to joke around, and her winning smile brought her a multitude of friends. But it could not win her parents' approval. Especially not with the legacy of Perfect Kate hanging over her head. Somewhere in the back of her mind she knew they loved her, but it was hard not to think they loved Katherine more. Not that she could really blame them. After all, she was pretty weird, and weird stuff seemed to follow wherever she went. She'd walk up to perfect strangers and somehow get them to start telling this little child their life stories. She sketched and colored on EVERYTHING in sight, and had an eclectic fashion sense that left her traditional parents confused and horrified. And then there were the stranger things... the almost magical things... Emberlynn had once seen a cartoon featuring a gorgeous, badass woman with deep purple eyes. She wanted those eyes. So badly did she wish for them that as she fell asleep that night the only image on her mind was one of her own eyes sparkling like amethysts. The next morning she found that her vision had manifested! Overwhelmed with joy and wonder she ran to show her mother, only to be met with "I don't know why we got you those damn contacts." But she didn't have contacts, and they hadn't bought them. Had they? That wasn't something the Knights would do... The only member of her adoptive family she felt a true connection with was her Aunt Amelia. Aunt Amelia ran a small bakery in New York, and had a personality every bit as boisterous as Emberlynn's. Her visits were always a blast! She'd take her to museums, plays, art swaps - even to the fashion stores her parents would not allow her to shop in. Amelia was also the only adult that seemed completely unphased by Ember's quirks. She encouraged her to draw and paint the colorful visions in her daydreams. Taught her how to do makeup, and gave her temporary glitter tattoos to experiment with. And best of all, as Emberlynn entered middle school, she offered to bring her to New York to attend a local school for the arts. This was a difficult ask of the Knights. Helena Knight trusted her half-sister. But to trust her with her child's life was another thing entirely. The two women had only really become close as adults. Their mother had always been extra mysterious about Amelia's missing father and had long seemed determined to keep the two halves of their family apart. So much in fact that they had gone to different schools and Amelia had been sent off every summer to some camp. The sisters had reconnected as adults, but the freshness of their reunion made the decision a bit difficult. Still, it was clear the boisterous woman knew how to handle herself. More importantly she seemed to know how to handle Emberlynn. Though they were loathe to admit it, she knew her better than they did. And while they didn't agree with the way she dressed and acted, their traditional methods did not seem to be working. Between Ember's begging and Aunt Amelia's persuasions, her parents agreed to let her go. Her new school was amazing, and she thrived in the less restrictive environment. For once, she felt like she could really let herself shine. She found it easy to make friends anywhere, and this place was no exception. On her first day she met a somewhat clumsy and awkward boy called Atlas and the two became fast friends. Even though it drove her nuts that he wouldn't let her style his hair - it was super shaggy and always covered by an old baseball cap - the two seemed to agree on almost everything else. He's walk her home from school most days, and they'd spend hours talking about their latest ideas and new projects. Yet as she grew closer to her thirteenth birthday, the strange occurrences around her became more frequent. Once she swore she heard a horse complaining that he hadn't been given the right quality of oats. Another time she felt the gargoyles atop the library roof were watching her, only to turn and see no gargoyles at all. And when she stole her best friend's hat as a prank, she thought she saw little horns poking out from his messy hair. He assured her she had seen no such thing. But the scariest occurrence happened on her way home from school one day. Atlas had been absent from school, so for the first time in quite awhile she was by herself. She heard a bark and a whimper from a nearby alley. When she checked to see if perhaps there was a stray dog in need of help, she found herself face to face with a snarling creature too large to be any normal dog. She charged down the street to her Aunt's apartment, the monster on her heels. No sooner had she reached the door than her Aunt Amelia emerged - wielding a massive battleaxe! With one clean strike she drove back the beast, all while Ember looked on dumbfounded. "What... the hell... was that?" She managed to get the words out. But the axe-wielder was on a rant of her own. "I knew it! I mean, I didn't know it know it until recently but I was pretty sure by now.... but you're so young... and were in the world is Atlas? If he was here I wouldn't have to -" Aunt Amelia stopped abruptly gave her a concerned look. "Dammit... happening already, is it? You got a wild ride ahead of you, Em." Emberlynn blinked. She couldn't process how she was feeling. Relieved? Amazed? Confused? It was too much to handle. And what on earth did Atlas have to do with any of this? Atlas usually walked her home, sure, but it's not like he and Auntie were particularly close, she thought... Well, at this point she had no idea what to think. So befuddled was she that she didn't even register the apparent randomness of her Aunt's next question. "How do you feel about summer camp?" Ember was quickly rushed to her room, where she listen to her Aunt stumble through an explanation. Apparently one of her parents - the biological ones - must be someone powerful and important. Amelia specifically said one of them must be a god, but that must have been an exaggeration, right? Anyway because of this lineage, monsters like that giant dog were going to keep attacking her and she needed to learn to defend herself. So now she had to go to some kind of camp to learn more? It was where Aunt Amelia had learned to wield that axe, and part of the reason the "other side" of Amelia's family had been kept a secret from the Knight clan. It all made sense in a vague fiction-y kind of way, but the fact that this was real life was still causing a major mind fog. After a few very confusing minutes, Atlas came pounding on the door. "Amelia! Where's Emberlynn!? Is she safe? I'm so sorry, I was sick today, I should've been there!" "Yes, yes you should have." Aunt Amelia seemed cold and concerned, yet far closer to Atlas than Ember could ever remember her being. "Atlas is a Satyr." She stated as though that would explain everything. She then turned back to the panicked friend. "Thank the gods they let me move her to New York. I guess I'll have to call Helena. And after all the effort mom went through to keep her out of all this... Life's funny sometimes, ain't it? Get in the car. You too, Em. We're going to Long Island!" Neither of them were making any sense. "Long Island?" Ember mumbled. "What's in Long Island?" Altas placed a hand on hers. Somehow it was reassuring, despite him clearly being involved in whatever this whole mess was. She didn't know it then, but his answer was going to change her life forever. |"What's in Long Island?" She repeated. "Camp Half-Blood." Personality Emberlynn is outgoing and exceedingly cheerful. She instantly loves everyone she meets, and strives to make a friend out of even the most stubborn adversary. One of her favorite pastimes is finding (usually making) the perfect gift for someone - and she's quite good at it too. She's a bit naïve at times thanks to her eternal optimism, but somehow manages to bring out that bright side she's determined to see in almost any situation. She's carefree, colorful, and incredibly creative. Ember's innocent nature endears her to many people, and she has an almost supernatural ability to make people want to protect her. She loves people, and for the most part they seem inclined to love her in return. Despite her extroversion though, Ember suffers from terminally low self-esteem. All the bright colors and makeup feel great when she looks at them, but she can't shake the feeling that everyone secretly finds her ugly and annoying. She constantly compares herself to others, and obsesses over every reason that she falls short. She also tends to try and "lighten the mood" in serious situations, making her look callous and uncaring at times. She is stubborn to a fault, particularly when she feels someone is trying to make her conform to their own style. Ember simultaneously wants desperately to be accepted, but despises the idea of changing herself to be "acceptable".
