22. Search for a Dryad; Tag: Red team!

Rebecca had not wandered off the trail too easily without the whole team in formation. They were on the route in search of any possible dryads in the forest and they came towards the central to the eastern areas of the forest. It was a tough search but the team wasn’t backing down yet. Not really sure how it began but they just wanted to have some fun and began an adventure of sort. Who knows they might stumble upon a few other mystical creatures as well. She continued following the team as they walked quietly as if no one would interrupt their journey.

RPC #22

Alyssa had started hiking off through the forest. Her goal was to try and find some strategic places for her team to take over as lookouts and to ask a Dryad if they would, maybe, help use their tree to trip up any half-bloods from the other team they saw. But she had been on her trek for a good long while now and had grown quite thirsty. Realizing that her water bottle was empty, she began to make her way to the nearby pond, hoping that it was unoccupied.

When she arrived the place wasn't unoccupied, but thankfully it was a friendly face. One of the children of Apollo she hadn't quite met yet, and some other stray members of her team. "Hey everyone. Just me." She said as she entered the clearing, hoping not to spook anyone.

Rebecca was resting under a tree awhile and at the same time they were looking for dryads near a pond. She hoped they could find it no matter what as they do need help from them to be able to challenge the other team as they kept attacking their flag station. She had only archery so she was depending on the others for the fights. She turned to see their new arrival Hebe demigod who came to help for the search. "Heya, are you Alyssa? Still searching for the dryad and hopefully they’re somewhere near here."

Alyssa smiled at Rebecca. "Yup, that's me!" Sitting down next to the edge of the pond and running her hand through the water, she decided it was cool enough to fill the water bottle and dipped it in. "We should probably try looking for some of the nicer trees in the area. The well-maintained trees are probably Dryad trees." Part of Aly hoped that the Dryads would hear her say that and feel flattered. Anything to encourage them to reveal themselves

(3) Rebecca nodded and smiled at Alyssa as she was glad that they had more help from the team. Not all were present but she hoped they could pick up their trail later. Or maybe head for another route for another creature’s help. "Nicee…. Ah good point. Let’s do that." She had enough rest and she was ready to find the better looking trees as what the dryads would maintain and furnish themselves. Speaking of which she was curious to how they do that. She walked up ready to find the trees.

MK was off in the woods doing some searching for the flag as she was determined to win this thing. The competition was just heating up so she wanted to show blue team who was boss!!!! But when she stumbled across a small pond she noticed a few others on her team. "Oh hey everyone" she said with a smile. Wondering what they were doing she only caught the last few words from what they were saying. "What are you all looking for?" her smile was one of kindness as it seemed like something cool!  Wondering if she could help before she ran off to find the flag.

Alyssa pulled her water bottle out of the pond and started twisting the cap back on. "Be there in a moment!" She called out to Rebecca, when she heard more movement in the trees. Immediately her hand went for the dagger she'd strapped to her hip. But she calmed down when she realized it was just another teammate. "Hey MK." Alyssa removed her hand from the hilt of the dagger and turned to face McKayla. "Dryads. Maybe we can ask them politely to help trip up the other team in their tree roots. Want to help?"

MK's eyes widened with curiosity as she listened to Alyssa's suggestion. The thought of enlisting the help of mystical dryads to gain an advantage over the opposing team ignited a spark of excitement within her. "Definitely!" she replied eagerly, her determination to find the flag momentarily forgotten. MK joined Alyssa by the pond, her gaze scanning the surrounding woods for any signs of the elusive dryads. The gentle rustling of leaves and the whispers of the wind added to the mystique of the moment. "Do we know where we are starting to look?" MK asked, her voice filled with anticipation. She eagerly awaited Alyssa's guidance, ready to embark on this fantastical quest that could potentially turn the tide in their team's favor.

Rebecca looked around the trees to find the possible dryad habitat. She was still near the others as she didn’t want to go far yet, waiting for Alyssa in particular. She also noticed McKayla as she passed towards the other tree, glad that they were gaining more members for the adventure. The place seemed to be really mystical and enchanting, more like somewhere she could find unicorns than any of the other creatures. She hoped she could find them soon.

Alyssa started to make her way towards Rebecca when she began to answer MK's question. "Well... I suggested looking for some of the nicer trees in the forest. The dryads keep their trees well maintained. It's their home, or maybe body, after all. I still get confused as to how all that actually works." She blushed a little embarrassed at her omission, hoping that none of the dryads heard her and were offended. "I think there might be one in the next copse over."

MK's eyes widened with wonder at the mention of a nearby copse potentially housing a dryad. Eager to embark on this adventure, she nodded in agreement with Alyssa's suggestion. "Let's go check it out!" MK exclaimed, her voice filled with anticipation. With quick steps, she followed closely behind Alyssa and Rebecca, their path leading them deeper into the forest. MK's heart raced with a mixture of trepidation and excitement. She glanced at Alyssa and Rebecca, a glimmer of determination in her eyes, ready to face whatever magical encounters awaited them within the heart of the copse. "In there?" she mouthed to them both trying to be very quiet.

Becca waited until Alyssa and MK gathered with her before they went to find the dryads together. They continued further as they find the possible tree that lives the dryad. Hmm were could they be? Then they came across a copse which was possibly their homeland. She stopped as well checking in it.

MK's heart raced with anticipation as they ventured into the copse together. The air grew still, and a hush seemed to settle over the surrounding trees. MK's gaze darted around, searching for any signs of movement or hints of the ethereal dryads. She mirrored Rebecca's actions, stopping and observing their surroundings, hoping to catch a glimpse of the elusive creatures. Her eyes widened with excitement as a subtle glimmer of light caught her attention. MK pointed discreetly, her eyes sparkling with delight, signaling Alyssa and Rebecca to follow her gaze.

RPC #22

Alyssa slowly walked over to the copse of trees nearby. She could hear giggling from inside the copse, which was a fairly good indicator that the Dryads might be near. She slowly made her way towards the clearing and followed the gaze of McKayla, hoping to catch a glimpse. However, by the time her gaze reached there, the shimmer dissipated and the giggling stopped. Heaving a heavy sigh, Alyssa continued. "Well, guess we're out of luck today. They seem to be in hiding again. Might as well go join in the game."
