James had been at Half Blood Camp most his life. More than half at least! He was doing his duty as a cabin leader and welcomed some of the newer campers who the satyrs brought with them. After that he had lunch and a chocolate chip cookie. Grinning he was walking out of the dining hall when he went to the training grounds. He needed to sharpen up on his skills since you never knew when the next quest was going to happen or even the next war. He had been through a war with percy jackson once already. That changed his life all together. He knew he was lucky but he challenged it with the war. That was one of the reasons he stayed and taught the young heroes on the world. As he made it to the training grounds he found a sword and began to do some of the routines he did that saved his life. "Take that" he stabbed the dummy after doing a fake after jumping.

Having finished his lunch, Theo headed off to wander around the camp. He had just finished reading a novel and jumping on to the next one hasn’t crossed his mind just yet. There were certain skills that he needed to improve on: hand to hand combat. When in battle, Theo found himself relying more on the abilities that he inherited from his mother. He wasn’t particularly good into sword fighting but it was a necessary skill to improve on.

 

He thought of sparring with his half-siblings first but none of them seemed to be around the area. He saw James Selway, the cabin leader for the children of Tyche. Theo has been around the camp for years to know who’s who which included the cabin leaders. He was still uncertain if becoming a cabin leader would be the right choice for him, however, he believe he still have a few years before deciding which path he’d take.

 

He watched with awe as the cabin leader went on to attack the dummy. “That dummy didn’t know what’s coming.” He teased, approaching the son of Tyche. “You mind if I join you? I could learn a trick or two.”

James was sweating as the summer heat had finally come. As he attacked the dummy with several blows as he practice his manevores. He had been so focused that he didn't see Theo come up. That was until he spoke and james jumped a bit then laughed. Rubbing his head with his non sword arm. "Of course you can!" He said in his surfer voice. That is when James walked over to the side where a pile of words laid. He picked one up and threw it to Theo. "Here ya go" he hoped theo would catch it or use his magic to catch it.  James then walked back and stood a 7 feet from theo. "First start with your stance. It has to be strong and planted to the ground so that with the blows you make it doesn't set you off balance."
