Sing, Play and Dance Around

The sun was starting to set, giving off pretty colors of pinks and oranges and some purples. The campers were starting to wind down a little, bringing some quiet to the place. The younger kids were getting ushered into their cabins since they were starting to get a little tired, one could tell by the way they were rubbing their eyes. It was about that time that her cabin mates had wanted to have a little fun. Saying something about singing and playing out near the bonfire. The thought of having fun with her siblings made her smile. She hadn't gotten to spend the time she wanted with them when she got in yesterday, as her day was pretty much taken up by a certain someone and then that party that happened at cabin 12. But who was really talking about that at the moment? She smirked as the memories of last night played in her mind as she helped her siblings bring out some of the instruments and other things that were needed. She even brought out her box drum when her siblings started singing.

Larissa began to clap to the song that they were playing. It was pretty much an upbeat song and everyone seemed to join in. This time, unlike others she wasn't singing but she was beating on her box drum. A bright smile plastered all over her face. She was having such a fantastic time, that she got up from her drum and started dancing around. Grabbing some of her sisters and spinning them around. Heck, even her brother had turned her around. There were even others that started coming over. Soon the Apollo children had a mess of older campers around them and Rissa had been dancing around with all of them, trying to get them all in a good mood.

Lilythe had watched the sun start setting as she made her way onto the campgrounds from The Big House, done with her shift for the day. She was on her way to the Cabin 11 to start helping her siblings and unclaimed campers with getting ready for bed. After the previous night's excitement in Cabin 12, Lilythe was sure that everyone would be partied out. She hadn't accounted for the musical inclination of Cabin 7. Shaking her head with a smile, Lilythe began walking over towards the cabin.

There was no reining the children of Apollo or Dionysus in when it came to music or parties. When they combined forces it was a true force to be reckoned with. So her intention wasn't even remotely close to stopping them. She just wanted to see what was going on, and make sure that the older campers helped corral their siblings into the cabin before midnight.

She went and stood on the sidelines and smiled, watching them all have fun. Lilythe was one of the oldest campers still around. Most of them moved on to New Rome or just left to be out in the world, having learned the skills they needed to survive. Being one of the oldest had its perks though. Almost everyone knew who she was, and so she was greeted with open arms by most of the Apollo children when they noticed her standing there. For many of the younger ones, she was the first person that had looked out for them at camp. It was strange to think that there were now campers there that hadn't even been born when she had first arrived at camp herself.

Lilythe waved at Rissa, one of the few other older campers around, as she caught her eye.

Dancing and singing was a favorite past time for Rissa. She loved music and playing it as well. It was a gift from her father that much she knew. She often wondered if she didn't have him as a father what her life would be like. Would she still like the things she liked now? She knew that she wouldn't be able to find this place, which was a sad feeling because that meant that she wouldn't have been able to find James and the others. Even if she had some bad times here she didn't want to change that at all. It was her home and she lived for that feeling. That feeling of being with her siblings and having fun doing so. Like tonight, right before bed. She had a huge grin on her face as she sung the choirs to a song they were singing when she noticed a very familiar face looking over at them. She waved happily and bounced over to the woman. Rissa was normally one that was in a good mood all the time. "Lilythe." She breathed out heavily. "Come and join us." Her hair was all over the place, in frizzy curls. "You've been working a lot here lately, so come chill with us." She grinned. "We are taking request." She giggled as she through her head back as her siblings started chanting the woman's name. "The cabin calls you." She said wiggling her eyebrows a little teasingly. "We would love to have you."

Lilythe chuckled as Rissa encouraged her to relax. "You and I both know that 'chilling' is not something that comes naturally to me." She had avoided the party at the Dionysus house the night before. It wasn't really her scene, and she would probably have just been a buzz kill. The campers needed a little fun now and then. The Apollo cabin's drum circles were more her speed, but she still didn't really dance much. "I'll just stay on the sidelines and listen." She said with a smile.

She knew that it wasn't likely to fly with Riss. There was a very large chance that she would get dragged into the circle one way or another. But that didn't mean she had to just accept her fate without some resistance, did it? She did chuckle as the rest of the cabin began chanting her name. They were, for the most part, sweet kids. She beamed at each of them as they continued. "You guys know I don't dance."

Rissa couldn't help but grin as Lilythe chuckled. She knew the woman didn't really take time off, most of the time she was pretty sure that she was in the big house helping others enter the camp. She grinned and shook her head. "Well, we can make it natural tonight." Rissa was in a pretty good mood at the moment. Nothing really could get her down at all. Minus the fact, if Kyle walked through the door at the moment. But it was less likely that was going to happen since he was all the way in New Rome. He never wanted to leave that place so there was that. Rissa sent the woman a pouty look when she said she would stay on the side lines. "That's fine." Rissa said with a mischievous smile on her lips. She would get the woman to move around if she had the last word.

She knew her siblings wouldn't stop until they got Lilythe out there with them. However, she smirked when Lilythe told them that she didn't dance. "Oh guys. Don't worry, she says she doesn't but I know better." She grinned as she glanced over to the woman and smirked before walking over to stand next to her. "Fine. We'll play your game but I know the music will get to you." she mused with a happy smile on her face. The music began to play a little louder and Rissa couldn't help but sing along with her siblings. They were some of the old camp songs that some of them would sing when they were younger, however, there were some upbeat music being played too. And soon there was a song that the group started to play and Rissa turned to Lilythe with a smirk on her lips. "Come one you know you want to." She said holding out her hand and dancing a little.

Lilythe smiled at Rissa. It was clear she was in a happy mood, and that was infectious. Perhaps it was futile to try and resist the offer to dance with them, but she really wasn't a great dancer. She felt like she had two left feet sometimes when compared to the other campers that seemed to have dancing in their blood. She wasn't exactly clumsy. Thankfully being a child of Hermes had that perk. Still, she wasn't graceful, and grace was required to be a good dancer.

As the music's volume increased, Lilythe watched as Riss began to dance around. Before long though she was back trying to get Lilythe to dance, holding her hand out to her. "You're going to end up with me stepping on your toes if you pull me out there." Lilythe chuckled, but she found herself taking Riss's hand and letting her lead her out into the drum circle.
