He was a very popular social person. Always going to parties and helped where he could to get his name out there more. He also had a thing about his looks, which made him very popular with the ladies. He never had a stitch out of place, and never let a woman try to claim him. So it came as a shock for many people when they found him in the arms of a woman for more than a week long. Mr Vance had started to fall in love with the woman when she just up and vanished one day. Leaving him in his home that he wanted to share with her. On May 15 of 2005, a little girl was placed on the doorstep in the early morning. There was a note with her explaining who she was to him. The man not believing the note at all seeked to prove if the child was his. Finally, after a DNA test was taken and the child was certainly his, he asked his PRs for help with everything. Since he was always out doing what he wanted. He didn't need a child bothering what he had. He named the girl Delaney, Laney for short. He also hired a nanny to take of her. He never really did anything for her, or even spoke to her while she was going up. The most that he had done was he placed her in all kinds of things to keep her out of the house as much as possible. Dance was the main one that he put her in. Dance keep her out of the house and on the road most of the time since she traveled with the team. She was home-schooled for the first five years of her education. Which seemed to be easier for her. She understood some things however, reading was never her strong suit. When she got into the sixth grade, her father had placed her in a private school. Wanting her to get a better education. While in school, she made a couple of friends as she was a very sociable person. She didn't have a problem with that. However, she did make a friend that she had more in common with. They done everything together. His name was Nal and she adored him. They were on their way to her house when something strange happened. Something that she couldn't describe appeared in front of her and Nal. Without a second thought, she pushed the boy behind her and grabbed a stick to defend them. Though it did no good, Nal had to pull her away from the monster and ran the other way into a crowd of people. Nal finally got her to her house and walked into it and straight to her father, who was strangely home. He had told the man that it was time for her to go to camp. Mr. Vance looked at him like he like he lost his mind until Nal had told him to remember the note that he had gotten off her blanket when she was younger. Laney was confused when her father told her to go pack. But she did as her father said as she didn't ever disobey him at all. She ran to her bedroom and packed everything that she could and was back in the living room with a bag full of clothes. He ordered the nanny to take her and Nal to the place that Nal had told her to go and the woman did so without any issue. Not wanting to have any issues with the father. However, she was also confused when they had her drive and stopped in the middle of no where. The woman was about to question when she remembered the fathers words and just let the kids get out. Laney pulled her bag out of the car just in time for something to come crashing out of the trees. It was the monster that had been chasing them. She scremed and grabbed on to Nal who had gotten a knife out of his boot, which was no longer on his foot.. or rather hoof now. Lancy once again screamed as Nal told the woman to leave and told her to run up the hill and not to look back. She didn't want to leave her friend but he had a look in his eye that said he wasn't playing. She ran up the hill and heard the monster running after her but she knew that Nal was right behind her because she could hear him breathing. However, she heard a scream and then Nal's voice telling her to keep going that she would get there. Soon enough she arrived in the camp and ran up to the door, screaming that Nal was getting hurt. They rushed her into the house and some even went to go help Nal out. In the house, she was told that she was a demigod and was told that this place was the safest for her to be. She had many questions most were answered, the others, well, they were answered at the bonfire when she was claimed by her mother Hebe. She was still rather confused but ended up being part of a whole cabin that were just like her. The next three years during her time at camp, she helped out as much as she could with the food and parties that were being put together. She also jammed out with some of the Apollo kids as she loved to be around music. Personality Laney loves to dance around since her father had placed her in dance classes when she was younger. She lights up more when she is around music. She is a very sociable person and will talk anyone ears off if they let her. Though, she doesn't do rumors or drama. She finds both very distatefull. She is the one that loves to help out during parties and feast. Making sure that people have what they need and making sure that they have fun as well. She is also one to help out with any kind of chore, cleaning, cooking the cookies for the new campers anything goes. She has a smile on her face most days. If you ever see her without one then something has pretty much ruined her day.
