  1. "Yeah, James is a pretty great guy." It was clear that the girl was anxious being the center of attention in the crowded cabin. So when the girl agreed to come to her room, Lilythe guided her back and shooed away the other Hermes cabin kids. Closing the door behind them, Lilythe gestured to the comfy chairs against the wall, and her bed. "Sit wherever you like." She said as she made her way towards the edge of her bed. "So you remember where you got every coin huh? That's pretty awesome." Lilythe made sure to show interest in what the child liked. It helped them feel more comfortable, she thought. "Do you want to tell me any of the stories? Also, what's your name?" Smiling, Lilythe waited for the little girl to reply.

It was her sincerest hope that she could make the girl feel more comfortable. Many people came in and out of the Hermes cabin, and she wasn't sure how long she would be here for. Still, it would be terrible for the girl to feel uncomfortable for the entire duration of her stay. If Lilythe could at least get her to feel like she was a safe person to come to, that would be enough.

  2. The drowsiness didn't go away for long, however. Once again a soft glow, like the dim amber of a nightlight, began to float above a camper. This time @ Savanna Lewis  had the honor. The now familiar soft sound of a lullaby began to light upon the air again, once more lulling everyone into a bit of a drowsy spell. Suddenly another blanket, very light purple in color, draped itself softly around Savanna. Lilythe yawned as she waved the girl over towards the other children of Hypnos. "Cabin 15." Forcing herself to stretch and wake up. "Child of Hypnos, go join your siblings." Lilythe smiled blearily, still trying to recover as the urge to sleep slowly faded. Hypnos if you could wait a minute or two between claimings, I'd rather not fall asleep by the bonfire.

  3. It wasn't new for a child to join the Hermes cabin. In fact, it was almost a daily occurrence. So Lilythe didn't even bat an eye when one of the older kids knocked on her door and let her know they had someone to see her. She got up from her bed where she had been reading, and set her book on the nightstand. What did surprise her was how young the kid was. Most of the new campers were preteens. It wasn't every day that someone so young arrived on her doorstep. Poor thing must be terrified. Lilythe watched the way the girl clutched her jar. "Hey there friend, I'm Lilythe. Do you like coins? My friend James likes them too." She smiled and sunk down so that she was just about eye level with the girl. "Do you want to come to my room for a little bit? You can tell me all about those pennies you have." Lilythe pointed down the hall where her room was. The Hermes cabin was always crowded and it looked like the poor girl could use a little space from everyone to feel more at ease.

  4. It seemed like the claimings were coming faster and faster. It wasn't long before another change began to occur. It was faint at first, but a soft glow, like the dim amber of a nightlight, began to float above @ Elena Miller . Then the soft sound of a lullaby began to light upon the air, lulling everyone into a bit of a drowsy spell. Suddenly a blanket, very light purple in color, draped itself softly around Elena.

  5. Most of the campers that Lilythe had led in had dispersed into the seats near the front. It wasn't hard to figure out who would be next though. The gods often gave her a moment with a subtle hint before the full reveal. Giving each child their moment in the spotlight. The next child Lilythe noticed have something occur was @ Kenna Rhys . Lilythe gave her a reassuring smile as she noticed a small flicker start above her head. "Well Kenna, it looks like you'll get your claiming today too." She gestured above the girl's head as a fiery hammer appeared above her head. "Looks like you'll be in Cabin 9." Lilythe gestured over to the section of the campfire where the other children of Hephaestus sat. "Welcome child of Hephaestus."

  6. Lilythe was pleased to see that Kenna seemed to settle right in. Nothing appeared to phase her, and instead all the information seemed to comfort the girl. Maybe it had helped her to make sense of her life. That was the best outcome Lilythe could hope for with any of the campers. Kenna appeared ready to explore the camp by herself, and didn't even really hesitate all that much when Lilythe gave her the cue to do just that. "If you need me, you can find me in The Big House, that's the place we just came from, for the rest of the day." She smiled and gestured towards the camp. "Enjoy the camp! I look forward to seeing you around."

  7. Lilythe liked how inquisitive the girl was. She'd honestly be surprised if she didn't belong to one of the more clever gods. "It is manipulated by Hecate and her children easily enough, but I personally believe it has a mind of its own when they aren't around." She had no real evidence to back that up, other than really weird things happening here and there. "Mostly, though, it just keeps mortals from seeing things that they can't really understand. Like monsters."

"When your parent claims you, you'll move into the cabin for their house. As for the actual claiming itself... that depends on your parent, mostly. Usually some sort of symbol appears above your head and you have a minor blessing for a day or two bestowed upon you." Lilythe tried her best to think of an example that would help. "Um... for example, Aphrodite gives her children instant makeovers for her blessing." There really wasn't a very good way to explain the claiming process. "Most of the time it happens at the campfire. Right around sundown. Speaking of which..." Lilythe started leading them around the grounds and pointed to the bonfire"Feel free to have a look around and ask any questions you like.  But that's where the magic happens."

  8. Lilythe sat there and listened as the music began to flow from James. She smiled brightly at the song he sang. It was clear that the song was from the heart. Honestly, he could have given the children of Apollo a run for their money with the way he was playing. It was absolutely beautiful. When he finished, she clapped and smiled softly. "That was really lovely James! You're going to make those Apollo kids jealous if you keep that up." With that she hopped down from her countertop.

"That reminds me... We should start figuring out how we're going to divide the teams up for capture the flag this year..." Every summer, they participated in capture the flag. And every summer, Lilythe and whomever she roped into helping--often James and Dustin--helped her divide the teams. It was never perfect, and the task was harder than it sounded. You had to be careful to balance power levels of parents with quantity of children. For example, Apollo and Aphrodite could probably make up their own team by themselves with sheer numbers, but it wouldn't be the most powerful. Lilythe took her task very seriously.

  9. Before long the campfire was roaring and most of the members of Camp Half-Blood were sitting there around it. As had become tradition, Lilythe guided the new campers, including @ Katie Rose  to the front of the group. She smiled and reassured them that everything would be okay, explaining to the younger ones--those not quite 13 yet--that their parents may not claim them tonight and may wait until they were older, and ensuring those who had reached their thirteenth year, or close to it, that their parent would claim them tonight. They didn't have to wait long. As soon as the sun set the gods began their work.

Above Katie's head, an owl appeared. "Well that settles it, dear. You're bound for Cabin Six. Athena." Lilythe smiled and gestured towards the benches where the rest of the cabin six children were sitting.

  10. Lilythe nodded. "Exactly." It was very refreshing to see that the information seemed to help Kenna make more sense of her life rather than startle her further. "And the reason nobody else appeared to notice this was because of the mist. It's like... some kind of supernatural force that basically prevents mortals from seeing things as they really are. If that makes sense." Lilythe was never really certain how to describe the mist to people. But she needed them to understand that there was a reason that they were the only ones who saw things as they were. It helped them realize they hadn't been crazy this whole time.

She smiled brightly. "Yes. You'll stay with me until your parent claims you, anyway." It was nice seeing that the new campers took to her. It was important they feel they had someone they could go to when things got overwhelming. It was difficult getting your head around the idea that you've been out of the loop on this whole other world happening for however long it was. "Well mostly we run like any other summer camp as far as structure goes. You'll have activities you participate in, food is served at the mess hall, we'll have inter-cabin games. Capture the flag is played quite often here. But the activities, and even the games, are all designed to help teach you how to survive if you get caught by a monster outside of camp. Some of our campers return home when it isn't the summer, and they need to know how to defend themselves if necessary."

  11. Lilythe had been at Camp Half-Blood for pretty much her whole life at this point. Leading activities during the summer and going on quests was pretty much all she knew. She couldn't imagine walking away from being the leader of Hermes cabin ever. The idea just felt insane. That was her home, and the residents were her brothers and sister--or cousins for those who weren't claimed yet. She felt like she needed to look after them, and they gave her a purpose to keep her head up. Taking the time away from camp to heal after Shadow hadn't been something she enjoyed, but it was necessary to get her head back on straight. Break ups were tough, especially ones that happened after several years of being together.

She appreciated that James didn't push the subject further. She really had never been all that comfortable taking compliments anyway. At least, not ones that made her feel like people held her in high regard. She was always afraid she would let them down. Instead he went on to answer her question, which she genuinely appreciated. Lilythe beamed as he said he had written some new songs. While creature lore was definitely an interesting change of pace for him, she knew how much he loved his music and Lilythe always encouraged people to follow their passions. "Really? What songs did you write? Can I hear them?" She hopped up onto the counter to sit as she waited for him to continue.

  12. Lilythe quirked a brow as he muttered his hello. Clearly it must be fairly upsetting if he couldn't even manage to realize how rude he had been and was continuing to be. As soon as he entered, she had closed the door behind them so they had total privacy. She listened as he spoke and had to hold back a small chuckle. There was only one girl it could have been. "You really need to stop letting Ash get to you." In all honesty, the young girl probably wasn't intending anything malicious. It likely just made her laugh to see him get all riled up like this. She would have to have a talk with the girl about learning when pushing someone's buttons went a little bit too far. Until then, though, she was going to have to help Dustin work through things.

"I know that she can be irritating. And she likes to push your buttons. But when you get worked up like this you're just giving her what she wants." In essence, he was rewarding her by showing her that she was getting to him. His best defense would be to stop showing any reaction whatsoever. The girl would eventually give up if she no longer got the reactions she was looking for. "I'll talk with her for you, but I can't promise it'll do much good."

  13. The girl was taking things remarkably well, all things considered. She had been prepared for an ambush of questions and having to prove that she was telling the truth--which was harder than you would think, and also more common than you would think. However, Kenna just took it in stride and asked her to tell her more. "A few years ago, the titan Kronos managed to sway a few campers into corruption and a war broke out between him and the Gods. As Demigods played a crucial part in getting things back on track, we were able to negotiate that our parents have to claim us as their children by the time we're 13. This is because the older you get, the more monsters can sense you, and it puts you more at risk." She paused there waiting to make sure that there weren't any concerns.

"The claiming from your parent usually happens at the bonfire, and until you are claimed you will stay with me in Hermes cabin as we are the hosts of travellers." Lilythe smiled sweetly. "Do you have any specific questions? I don't want to overwhelm you with too much information. I think that's about all you really need to know before we get you settled in."

  14. Lilythe had been unpacking her things. She had gone away for a while this time, so her room was fairly bare. Rushing around, she tried to make the room less like the jail cell it currently looked like with its blank walls. She had just finished putting up a painting that she'd been given by one of the Iris Cabin kids a few years back when she heard a knock on the door. "Just a minute!" Lilythe straightened the painting and then headed to the door.

As she opened it, she quirked a brow. There was Dustin, the Ares Cabin Leader, and he looked quite upset. "I take it my welcome home greeting will have to wait." She chuckled softly and gestured to the room. "Come on in." Stepping back, she let him into the room and then looked out to her siblings and the other campers hanging out in the cabin. "Hey guys, could you give us some privacy? Go out and find an activity to do or put in your headphones, yeah? Thanks." Lilythe closed the door behind her and sat on her bed as she looked over at the boy. "So... what happened?"

  15. Lilythe blushed a little at James' compliment. She wasn't sure she felt that way. After all, if Percy Jackson or Annabeth Chase ever came back to Camp Half-Blood, they would be better leaders than she could ever hope to be. All she provided was a warm welcome for weary travelers--her best homage to her father she could muster--and was sure that one of her siblings could rise to the occasion, or any of the other cabin leaders, in her stead. "Well, I'm glad you seem to think so anyway." They were going to have to agree to disagree on that one. But she knew her friend well enough to know that he wasn't going to budge on his stance.

"I know you're here for me." She smiled and placed a hand affectionately on his shoulder. James was a sweetheart. He could be so uplifting to talk to when someone was down, too. But Lilythe didn't know how to talk about the break-up with Shadow. Most people wouldn't have understood. The two had been slowly drifting apart for years. Her ex hadn't been ready for it though, even though everyone around them could see it coming. He had said some pretty hurtful things as they were breaking up, but Lilythe didn't blame him. They had been together for years. Shadow had never been one to give up on something once his mind was set to it, and it had been set on being with Lilythe since they were children. But somewhere along the way, Lilythe and him grew apart and it would have been unfair to keep him in a relationship when she wasn't in love with him anymore. He deserves to find love.

"Well I never officially stepped down as Cabin Leader, so... It's definitely still my place. And I'll probably just going back to teaching the campers how to scout like I have every summer since I was 16." She chuckled softly. "What about you? Picking up anything new to instruct this year? What have you been up to?"

  16. "Yes, you're a demigod. The half-god, half-human offspring of a mortal and a god. A Greek god to be specific. There's other gods, but if it had been one of those, you'd have gone to a different camp." Lilythe remembered Camp Jupiter and assumed that there were other camps for the other children of the gods. There has to be, right? She smirked as the girl asked who her dad was. That was the million dollar question, wasn't it? And she never knew the answer. "We won't know until they claim you. It's... well... it's different for every parent.  But essentially... we'll know. You're just about 13 right? Your parent should claim you pretty soon."

"It's very nice to meet you Kenna. As I said, I'm Lilythe. I'm a daughter of Hermes, and I'll help make sure you get adjusted to camp." With a soft smile, she tried to be more reassuring. It was difficult for everyone on their first day. After all, it was hard to learn that nothing in your life was what it had seemed. "I'll start with the basics, and then add more later, okay?" She paused to make sure that plan was okay with Kenna before continuing. "The Greek gods are real. So is every 'myth' you've ever heard about them. Heracles? A real person. Well, god now. Chiron the Centaur? He's our Activities Director at Camp. Olympus isn't so much a mountain as it is just what we call  the home of the Gods. It's currently located at the top of the Empire State Building. Are you with me so far?"

  17. Lilythe nodded as he said they were undetermined. That wasn't uncommon for children prior to getting to camp. In fact, it was pretty unheard of for a child to know who their godly parent was before they made it to Half-Blood Hill. She wasn't quite sure how that would even happen, since the gods typically weren't involved in their children's lives other than as a passing thought. Her mind was caught up in those kinds of thoughts as James said her name. She blushed ever so slightly at his compliment. "I'm sure you guys were fine without me." After all, the camp wouldn't crumble if she left. Though deep down she knew that it would definitely have felt her loss if she had chosen not to return. At this point Camp Half-Blood was more her home than anywhere else she had ever lived before.

Everyone thought that Lilythe had gone off to university at New Rome like Vienna and Azrael had. But the truth was, she hadn't. She just needed space after her break-up to get her head back on her shoulders. Lilythe couldn't bring herself to make it all the way to New Rome. It would have been great to see Vienna, but she wasn't sure she was ready to face Azrael. You miss him. Just write him first. But she couldn't. At this point it had been 4 years since he left to go to the university, and Lilythe didn't believe her message would be well-received after this much time.

She let James continue talking about the camp, answering her questions, as she bit into the cookies. She just about spat her bite out, however, when he asked a question of his own. Damnit. She should have known better than to try and sneak it by him. "I don't really want to talk about it..." She scrunched her face up. "I'm sure you guessed, but I didn't go to the university. If I had, I'd still be there. But... after things with Shadow, I just... needed a break, you know?" She wasn't ready to admit that she had chickened out at the thought of running into Azrael. It didn't even make sense to her why she felt that way, so why would it make sense to anyone else? "But he wasn't on your list of return campers so... I'm thinking I get to keep having my break for a bit." She smiled softly over her cup of lemonade. "Here's to not having to worry about awkward run-ins with the ex." Lilythe chuckled softly before taking a sip.

  18. Lilythe sat back and waited for the girl to finish speaking. She would have answered the question first, but there hadn't been much pause before she began asking several more. So the pertinent thing seemed to be to wait. "You are at Camp Half-Blood, which conveniently is located on Half-Blood Hill like your friend mentioned. Jeffrey, right? Well he's a satyr--that's a half-goat, half-human creature--and he was quite correct. You are a half-blood, a demigod." Lilythe paused here a moment to let it sink in. It wasn't every day that someone got told that they were half god, after all. "What that means is that somewhere along the way one of your parents had, for lack of a  better term, relations with a god or goddess. Specifically, one of the greek ones--though there are definitely other options out there." She bit her lip before continuing. "You most certainly are safer here than anywhere else." Except perhaps New Rome, Lilythe thought to herself. But no need to overwhelm the girl with information about Camp Jupiter while she's still learning about this camp.

Lilythe gestured to the cookies and lemonade. "You might want to get comfortable, this is going to be quite the lesson. But before we begin, are there any immediate questions you have?" It was very likely that the poor girl would give her another slough of questions, and Lilythe was absolutely ready for that. She would answer them as best she could, when she was able. But filling the girl in on everything was going to take time. The girl... you should probably ask her name so you don't just keep thinking of her as a nameless person. "Also, uh, would you mind telling me your name? I, uh, don't believe you ever gave it to me."

  19. Lilythe was just getting back into the routine of welcoming campers. She had baked some chocolate chip cookies and placed them out to cool. They had just finished getting put on the serving plate when Lilythe heard the door open. "I'll be right out!" Lilythe grabbed the plate of cookies and the pitcher of lemonade. "Meet me in the living room, it's just to the left." Is it sad that I know the layout of this house so well? Sticking a couple of solo cups on top of the cookies she made her way out to the living room with the plate in one hand and lemonade in the other.

As she entered the living room, Lilythe smiled at the new camper. "I'm Lilythe. I'll bet you've had quite the journey." She gestured to the plate of cookies and lemonade, then poured herself a glass and grabbed one. She wasn't particularly thirsty or hungry, but she wanted to show that there wasn't anything wrong with them. New campers often came here traumatized by some major event with monsters, had their whole world turned upside-down, and a whole slough of information thrown at them in a short amount of time. Oftentimes they were left feeling overwhelmed. The last thing that Lilythe wanted to do was make things even worse for them. "Why don't you start at the beginning and let me know what your friend told you before they brought you here? I'll fill in the gaps where I can."

  20. Lilythe whipped her head around to face the person whom it belonged to and a smile reached her cheeks just in time for him to collide with her body. "James." She smiled brightly as she wrapped her arm around him to return the embrace. As she stepped back, Lilythe looked at the young child that was near them. Chances were, until they knew their parent, she would get to know them pretty well. She waited before she heard the door close behind them. "Another undetermined or has their parent claimed them while I was gone?" If she was grateful for anything, it was the fact that the gods now had to claim their children by the summer of their 13th year. Lilythe remembered the days when her cabin was filled to bursting--hardly any room to walk in it--with unclaimed campers who didn't know their parent. It was, always heartbreaking to watch them wonder why their parent hadn't wanted them.

Gesturing to follow her, Lilythe began to make her way to the kitchen. She needed a glass of lemonade after the trek through the strawberry fields to get there. She could have ran there and gotten there quickly if she had wanted--only Nike cabin children could compete for speed with Hermes children--but she still wasn't sure she was ready to be back. Lilythe grabbed the lemonade out of the refrigerator and a glass from the cabinet then poured herself something to drink. "Anyone back for the summer yet?" She didn't want to be surprised if her ex was skulking around a corner. Better to know now if she was in for a miserable time than to get caught off-guard by him. Still, she didn't want to directly talk about her ex, or their terrible break-up, and there were a few other good friends that she hoped might be back for the summer from the university in New Rome. "Or are we the only members of the Old Guard sticking around this summer?" She smiled softly. It was one of those understood, informal rules that Lilythe was basically the leader of the campers and that James was her right hand man. The two of them always knew everything going on at camp, and could typically dissuade anyone from starting issues between campers. It came with having been there longer than just about everyone that was still there.

Offering him a cookie from the tray on the counter, she tilted her head. "Did you bake these or that kid? They're pretty good."

Plot Locations: Camp Half-Blood, mostly. Though some activities in the city or wherever site-wide plot events occur may also happen.
    Full Plot:

Lilythe, daughter of Hermes, has recently returned to Camp Half-Blood from an extended leave of absence. Before she left she had broken up with her long-time boyfriend Shadow Moore. Though the two appeared to part on amicable terms from Lilythe's perspective, Shadow has been obsessed with getting her back ever since. Now, after her absence of several months, he has a plan to win her back and nothing is going to stop him. At least, that's what he thinks.

Azrael Blackburn is Lilythe's former best friend. Recently, she's began to realize that she may care for him as much more than that. He left camp 4 years ago to attend Camp Jupiter's university in New Rome and she hasn't heard from him since. However, Azrael also missed her. Azrael had always felt something more for Lilythe but could never bring himself to tell her. It was a large part of why he left for university in the first place. But now that he's graduated, and a little birdie named Vienna has told him that Lilythe and Shadow broke up months ago, Azrael is ready to return to Camp Half-Blood and reconnect with his old friend.

As Lilythe begins to reconnect with Azrael, sparks fly and it's as if no time has passed. Just as it looks like the two are finally about to enter a relationship, Shadow begins to work his vile plans into action. First he begins to sew doubt with Lilythe by telling her lies about Azrael's intentions with her. Then he makes sure to have Azrael walk in on moments where he and Lilythe are alone, in an effort to make it look like Lilythe still wants to be with him. Finally, as rifts are formed between cabins (not uncommon), Shadow seizes the opportunity to use his mastery over the mist to brainwash Lilythe into believing she still loves him and to steal her away from Azrael by causing more and more fights between them.

While she returns to Shadow, Lilythe and him essentially pick up where they left off. Only Shadow tries to push things further and further. He wants all of Lilythe, and he can convince her that she wants it too. But each time he manipulates her, Lilythe becomes a little bit more and more odd with her friends. Eventually Vienna, James, and Dustin get concerned enough to bring things up with Azrael. Azrael is reluctant to accept that Lilythe isn't acting of her own accord--pessimistic about her ability to ever return his affections after the second heartbreak from her he's had--but eventually succumbs to their pleas. Every effort he makes to bring Lilythe back to her friends ends in vain and Azrael begins to lose hope. That is, until he sees Shadow using his ability to manipulate the mist on Lilythe and realizes what's going on.

After coming up with a battle plan, Azrael confronts Shadow, but gets significantly hurt. In that moment, no amount of magic can overcome the real love and despair that Lilythe feels upon seeing him so hurt. Lilythe breaks herself free from Shadow's manipulations and runs to Azrael's side. Thankfully his wounds were not as grave as they appeared and after several days of love and care, and a lot of ambrosia, Lilythe and Azrael can finally have their happily ever after.

  22. Lilythe stood on the porch to The Big House for quite a while before finally mustering up the strength to enter. She had been away for much longer than usual this time. Truth was, she had been wondering whether or not she would come back this time. It wasn't that she didn't love camp, she did. It was just that she was getting so much older now. Part of her was hoping she would be able to lead a normal life sooner or later. Or, at the very least, forget about him. In that moment she wasn't really certain whether which of the two she meant, but either would suffice. Prior to leaving, Lilythe had broken up with her boyfriend of several years. Things just hadn't been working out, but he definitely didn't take it well. After she left, she realized that she hadn't seen or heard from Azrael in longer than she cared to admit and that it hurt far more than she would have ever expected. It's been four years. Lilythe thought to herself as she realized he had gone off to college without so much as an Iris Message since. He had been so close to her before, and she never understood why he hadn't reached out since arriving. She knew he was okay, because whenever the other kids would come back from Camp Jupiter, they would mention running into him in New Rome.

Stop fixating. Lilythe shook her head and pushed her way through the front door. "Hello, hello. Is anyone around?" It was not uncommon for there to be tons of campers running in and out of The Big House at any moment. However, it was just as common for there to be nobody in The Big House because they were all out running around doing various activities. Chiron was even hit or miss these days.

Setting her bag down by the door, Lilythe walked slowly deeper into the house.

The course of true love never did run smooth. A child of Nemesis, Azrael is Lilythe's former best friend. Having survived the Titan Wars with Lilythe the two share quite the history. He also has harbored feelings for her for years, but was never able to act on them because she was with someone else. As time went by it got harder and harder to watch her be with someone that wasn't him and so he left the camp under the guise of attending university at Camp Jupiter, but it's been 4 long years since then and now it's time to return home.

The idea I have for this plot is that Lilythe--who is now single--can be wooed by Azrael only to have her ex-boyfriend, a son of Hecate, work a little black magic to put Lilythe under his spell. This will all happen during the site plot events so that the timing looks like it's just the camp dividing them so Azrael doesn't immediately understand what's happening. A lot of drama will ensue.

Lilythe's ex-boyfriend and a child of Hecate. His name and history are fairly flexible. But I want this plot to be really rough. I want him to be psychologically damaging for Lilythe. He doesn't have to be an altogether bad human being, just incredibly toxic for her. To the point where he uses the mist to trap her into a relationship with him because he's not ready to let her go.

I'm thinking some very adult themes with this one.

Lilythe's best friend, a daughter of Dionysus, she's basically the person that breaks Lilythe out of her shell and gets her to relax once in a while. She's fond of Azrael and not a big fan of Lilythe's ex-boyfriend. She's known for throwing big parties and coming up with wild schemes. She also was around during the Titan Wars and sometimes struggles just like the others, but always puts on a brave face not to show it.

During the plot she'll basically be the first person to realize something's off with Lilythe and convince Azrael that he has to do something about it. After the plot, she's probably going to be the girl that Lilythe leans on to tell what happened with her ex.

    biography

Lilythe was the only child of Hermes and her mother, Bianca. Little does she remember about her life prior to Camp Half-Blood. She had been there since the age of eight years old, after a hydra destroyed her home, killing her mother. The orphaned girl was saved by a satyr--who merely rushed her to a safe distance until she was conscious enough to bring her to Camp Half-Blood.

When she arrived at Camp Half-Blood with her Satyr, Drapheus, she was claimed instantly. It was perhaps a kindness from Hermes, ensuring her the family that she was now deprived of. For many years at Camp Half-Blood, life was wonderful. And then came the days of the Titan War.

During the days leading up to the Titan War, Lilythe had a hard time coming to terms with all of the people she had considered her brothers and sisters, or cousins, that turned out to be traitors and working for Kronos. She refused to fight with them, insisting that she could reason with them. It wasn't until Matthew--her closest friend at the time--had been uncovered as a traitor as well that she saw perhaps she couldn't save them.

Matthew was turning Half-Blood Campers to Kronos' cause after Luke left camp. Lilythe found out fairly early on, and desperately tried to convince him to stop. Lying to her, he said that he had. When it was finally revealed which side he was on in the War, Lilythe was devastated. Her anger was so much that it gave the push she needed to join in the battle. It was her that delivered the death blow to Matthew during that fight. To this day she blames herself for his death, and the death of all those he converted to Kronos' cause that perished in the war.

After the war, Lilythe buried herself in books for a while until she was old enough to venture forth from Camp Half-Blood on her own. She ran after that. Taking quest after quest, travelling the world. But no matter how far she went she never really was able to escape her nightmares or memories. So she returned.

Since she had no other family, Lilythe had no way to succeed in the world outside of Camp Half-Blood. Despite her advancing age, she stayed in the cabin. When the Stoll brothers eventually left, she took over their duties as Cabin Leader. Finally, after many years had passed, and Lilythe entered her twenties, Chiron asked her to step in as Activities Director until he could return. She moved into the Big House, and left the only home she'd ever really known, Cabin Eleven, behind. Though it was only a few yards away now, and she had travelled the world several times over, it felt like the longest distance she had ever been from it. When she's not otherwise consumed with her duties, Lilythe finds time and excuses to visit Cabin Eleven, her brothers and sisters, and the unclaimed Half-Bloods that are passing through.

    Personality

Highly intelligent and resourceful, Lilythe can be counted on to find a way out of any situation. If there is a problem to solve she is often the first to find a solution. Should there be a limited selection of tools available she can usually still find a way to fix the problem with what is available.

She is creative and can sometimes get lost in her own little world. The creativity has its uses, but can be a source of distraction more often than not. It is often the case that her friends need to pull her out of her daydreams to keep her focused on the task at hand. When she daydreams like this, she often misses things--people who don't know her may think that she is forgetful when they ask her to recall something they said while she was lost in thought and she fails to be able to, thus resulting in her nickname "Lithe". She seems most able to focus when taking the time to educate others.

She is very nurturing and supportive. She is quick to reward those campers and individuals that she believes to be excelling. And she is slow to punish, believing that embarrassment of failure can be its own form of punishment. However this does not make her soft, she will punish should the offense call for such a measure.

She has a melancholic side, and can be quite easily drawn into bouts of reclusive and quiet. This usually occurs around the anniversary of events she finds to be traumatic. At these times she would rather be left alone than have others try to cheer her up. There are a select few people that she is not bothered by at these times.
