Hailey King

Hailey had been only busy with her art work these days. Producing better work was her mission right now , apart from some new sports to catch up with. They weren’t all a good sports taker, only Fin among them at the moment. So she wanted to be good at at least non art related stuff. She would be grateful if anyone were to approach her and guide her as well, but her toughness would also carry herself to be independent and start work in her own. Her art was getting better each day as she could tell , even her siblings had encouraged her. But then apart from all the talents she had also her own light power, so she would be seen flickering light from time to time, it had been a thing since young. She flicked a glittering light as she was sitting outside the cabin, enjoying the sun, admiring it and inspired from it as she played with her own powers. It was until a girl named Cora came by and talked to her, which she could vaguely but roughly recognised to be someone from Phobos. She only knew that their sister had been really close with one of them. Hailey smiled immediately, always welcoming, but more so when it was someone related to the guy her sister was crushing on, so it piqued much of her interest. "Hi….I’m Hailey, pleased to meet you……So what has brought you near our cabin? “ She had half guessed that she might wanna check out their cabin and their people. She was in a pretty good mood and she would love to get to know this girl as well. All of the Irises liked to get to know people because of their communication gift. She waited for the girl to continue, in the meantime she had her light powers still on, lingering above one of the grasses afar from the cabin.

Hailey was looking at Ember’s musical notes art painting on Petal’s face. The decent art line and creativity were what amazed Hay. She beamed as she was always happy to have siblings with similar traits and likes, it was hard to befriend anyone like that, but you find them in your family here. She grinned as Petal intended to be her cheering squad team, and she was more than pleased to be having supporters of her own. She didn’t have any at the moment. She hoped she could fulfil her goal in the future, and it seemed like sports weren’t hard that much right? "Definitely Petal!!” Their conversation moved on to crushes, as Hailey listened intently , munching on another pastry. She was glad that Petal had one particularly from Phobos. It wasn’t a surprise their cabin had crushes of their own not to mention their brother had a few of his own too, but Hay was still open in her love circle, awaiting for that special someone. No rush of course. She had to agree with Petal as she shared how grateful she was to have them all. If she didn’t have them , well life wouldn’t be as exciting as now as well. "I’d have to say the same.” Even more when she had more sisters now.

I VOLUNTEER AS TRIBUTE

Hailey can only giggle as she made her way along Ember’s precious face. She wanted it to be as perfect as possible being an artist as well. They were also known as perfectionist sometimes, but there could be one wrong or two. As she painted she heard Petal mentioning her musical skills, and Ember telling them her piano past experiences. It seemed that all of the Irises inherited different talents of their own, and she could say she wasn’t much good at music as well, singing a little maybe? And luckily she had a good grip on the paintbrush as it went away for a sec when Ember got too excited that it bumped into it. She shrugged it away and smiled, gesturing her to continue , as she knew her condition. "oh no worries Ember….it’s almost done too….” She grinned, until she finished the last wave of the paintbrush and was pretty much satisfied with her paint work, she let her turn to Ember next on Petal’s face. There they continued their conversations, as they were always good at conversations. She wondered what to do next as Ember asked them about their daily lives at the moment. She hadn’t had much to do these days to be honest, other than art, and helping in the kitchen, it was only the new stuff she would be learning then. Some sports perhaps. Speaking of which, Fin was good with sports which made her wonder whether he was good in arts as well. "Hmmmm nothing much for me really, but I’m trying some sports like swimming and diving………and definitely no crushes yet haha.” They were already at that age but she was sure she hadn’t met anyone special yet. She was too busy with her own activities that she didn’t really see anyone yet. Hopefully there would be a someone out there, she was too a romantic person after all.

Hailey had to say that she was pleased to have sisters like them, and she knew her brothers were like that too, though their bros weren’t here today……hopefully! She smiled at Ember’s kind words, she was also hoping to see their art too and not just hers. She was, to be honest, already used to her work so she likes to others too, and they all had unique styles of their own. Face paint was also her first doing that as she used to do on canvases. Though she didn’t mind going first as they kind of insisted the best artist among them in their view. "Alright then, I guess I’ll go first to do your face Ember, but I can’t wait to see all of your art work too!! " She was sure they’d do a great job. And Petal was really good in music in which they might not be as much as her. She was proud of them of course. Right now they were just having fun with the night party for ‘only girls’ , and she wanted to make the best out of it. She nodded at Petal’s words, agreeing with how music affect their emotions and lives too. She was an artist so she could understand that. She picked up the face paint next and started with one that has rainbow colours, ready to paint it over Ember’s face. She grinned and faced Ember. "Here goes nothing.” She made a light wave on her face, from the left cheek , to the forehead, and then to right cheek, illustrating a curvy rainbow sign along her face.

Beaming, Hailey was more ready than ever for their perfect sister night in party at the cabin. She grinned when her sisters were all ready to go ahead with the face paint. "Go ahead Ember!!“ Hailey went for a round of Auntie A’s cupcakes as she waited for Emberlynn to start with the paint. She had t agree that the cakes were delicious. She had them laid out so they could refer to any of the colours easily. Petal was also waiting so they were going in turns for the paint. She wondered how long it would take, but she hoped it would be a meaningful night party tonight.

Hailey grinned, always ready for help and even more when Silvio here agreed on that. It was a fine moment when she thought he was creative too for a Demeter. Maybe the plant kids do have some art skills like they were, since planting required good hand skills too. ”Awesome! I’m free most of the time so hit me up whenever you’re in the kitchen. “ Anytime he could call her from around camp or send an Iris message would do, she thought. She nodded understandingly, not many like parties, but the Iris were a biggie on it. Especially when it comes to camp events where post/pre event party comes. They were mostly the organiser for that. "I see, well that’s absolutely fine, since not many like them, but we do better in creating parties that are more friendly for everyone to join, like you could just sit by and relax just a few distance away from the crowd. " She hoped their plans worked as they were still making up ideas for anything that suits the campers. After all , they wanted to bring as much as fun as possible to camp instead of staying dead all the time. And well they need most of the participants for that too. Sipping her drink she wondered if he had become bored or perhaps he wanted to have a swim. "By the way, do you swim Silvio? I’m planning to next haha, it’s a waste not to for this bright day.”

Bailey looked around excitedly wondering which they would do first. Since she was the second eldest here so far along the girls, she would’ve given the chance to the youngest to pick. "Same old for me haha! Doing more art than usual these days." She turned around the at Petal’s arrival, beaming at her sister like the Iris daughters always had with the happy and enlightened face, especially whenever they see art! "Petal!! Just in time for the party……… ooh I agree on the face paint, and then we can enjoy the food and the karaoke, good idea." She also went to try on the cookies Emberlynn made , and her aunt’s as well. They were both delicious which made Hailey grin even more and gave a big thumbs up to Ember. She was always supportive to her sisters and their families too. Which was great as their families kind of became one another’s too. She went to grab those face paint next and gathered them in front of them all, awaiting to start on the painting. "Shall we?"

Hailey giggled as she was always cozy and happy around her siblings. They had almost everything in common and she really loved being with family. "Yess you’re right! Ooh you’ve got just the one I need!" She placed down the ball and focused on the picnic things Petal had brought. She reached for the lemonade as it was one of her favourite drinks. It was probably their favourite drink as well! But she loved the sister time the most definitely. "Always ready haha. Well I’d love to learn some new swimming skills, or diving maybe. How about you? Met anyone so far? Hahah…" She laughed a bit on her last words. She loved the conversations with her siblings as they were always fun , plus they were all in the same wavelength. You know sometimes when other demigods don’t get you , but your siblings will always do.

Hailey was glad that she wasn’t the only one helping out at the kitchens. She was doing that as she liked to touch everything with colours and she knew she had a lot to learn for her love of colours. She also liked to be outside of her cabin and learn many new things in life where she got the chance to. Being a year rounder at camp made her explore many and she was up to any new experience. "Ooh you’re really good at that….hmm maybe I can help a bit with the cooking sometimes." She could learn new things and cooking can be one of it. She nodded hearing what he said that he liked to have his alone time sometimes, which is similar to her as well. She thought that most people liked some quiet time as it was one of the most private moments in their lives. "Same………sometimes I’m at the arts centre and sometimes just randomly around camp. Well if there were parties or events I’d help out too. Are you a fan of parties? Haha…" She knew not many liked that as it can be pretty boring. For her though, it was part of their duties being good in communication and connection with people, to bring some life to camp.

Hailey listened to him as their conversation took over from one topic to another. She was glad to be meeting someone other than her own siblings everyday. "Nice name." She loved name meanings as much as getting to know each of their personalities. She was very much one of the communication lovers in the demigod world. She was quite surprised as she had something in common with Silvio. It was then that she knew about medics vs healers. "Wow that’s cool….And I help out at the kitchen sometimes too to differentiate between the colours of the veges and fruits…." She wondered if she had seen him before. She liked to help out whenever she can but not as often as him. She smiled later when she heard that he wasn’t good in sports. She was also more towards the creative side so she only knew swimming in the various field of sports. "Well that’s fine haha, I’m also only good in swimming………And sure I’ll let you see whenever you’re free…..So you’re mostly in the infirmary and the kitchen then?."

Hailey was glad that their camp had demigods who do planting and harvesting work, which was pretty much what the pavilion mostly needed as well. She wondered if he helped with the kitchen as well. The thought made her chuckle as she might be thinking a little to far. She nodded hearing his name. Nice, it means ‘nature’ or ‘trees’ right? Is it Portuguese? Or Spanish? Hmm..." Name meanings were really interesting to find out for her so she always does that. She had the habit of doing some research on people here as she wanted to meet and get to know more friends here at camp particularly because she was a year rounder as well. She might also end up being one of the tutors here. She gladly moved away from the capture the event topic as Silvio didn’t seem to like to talk about it much. She nodded at what he had been doing, and she got it right withe kitchen helping while also amazed with people who help out at the infirmary. She only knew that the Apollos were good at that. "That’s cool, so you’re like a healer too then." She smiled , respecting all people who does healing. She only had light power so she could only cast light when people needed, much like helping too. "For me I’m always doing arts and crafts, and I do some sports like swimming too. I think you do like sports too right or no?" Not many people do at least not every demigods.

Hailey smiled and nodded in acknowledgement with the drink she had in hand. It was a juice indeed so she had nothing to say about it, besides it was everyone’s favourite she guessed. "I see…..well thank you for your hard work too ." She guessed that those fruits were from him and the other Demeters then. Or they probably volunteered to. She smiled as she wondered what other things the Demeter boy had been up to besides harvesting. She grew a fond of meeting people and that was where she would go for. "I’m Hailey by the way. So what have you been up recently besides the event?" She also wanted to talk about classes but she could leave that for later.

Hailey had nothing to do much other than relaxing or reading. The beach was filled with people as they didn’t want to waste any time before Fall arrives. However she likes summer she also wanted a peaceful moment to herself to enjoy the thin clothing weather as it was always an entertaining moment. She sipped through her drink scanning around the people seeing what they were up to. It came around couples, siblings, and then towards a Demeter who had a basket of fruits and beges that caught her eye. It wasn’t the basket but the boy who was with it. He seemed bright even if the he looked sweaty. That made her want to talk to him, but also the harvest he did which amazed her. She knew the Demeters were good at plants but she didn’t know how good they were. Wow……are you planning a party or going to eat all of them yourself?" She was curious but she ended with a tease. Though her face was filled with admiration. They would plant even if the weather is hot.

It was near the end of Summer but Hailey still felt like she was in the summer frenzy. The heat brought her to near the waters mostly these days so she was always out , but she still kept in check of her health as the weather could be a little tangy to her body. Even if she loves swimming she didn’t forget to drink enough water and keep cool in the shelter. She was looking towards the sea of people at the beach while seating at the covered bar side area , drinking a fresh juice. She didn’t want to be too crowded there as she wanted to sit back and relax awhile. She and her siblings were all about the skies sometimes since they can easily connect with their mother , plus Pegasuses were their thing. Her friend Pegasus Lily was always around so she knew where to find her. For now she just sat back and laid still hoping the air would turn cooler sooner. @ Silvio Suarez
