  1. Cora laughed at the blush that flushes his cheeks, with a smirk. He had talked a lot on the way to the forge that she could barely get a word in, and then he started on getting things ready and working on a part of the dagger. Once he took a break she took a moment as she admired his body, but jolted back to reality, smiling she continued their conversation from on the way into here, "I would love to use a test dummy, and ya I do have a weird sense of humor and things that I like, but hey its who I am" she laughs, she knew the comment she had made was creepy, and she was used to being called creepy among other things. She thought it was really cool what he could do, "I would love to see you in battle!" she exclaims with a small smile playing a crossed her face. The pyrokinesis was pretty cool all on its own, she would love to see it all working together out of the forge being used as a weapon. "See, powers can be great for battle, not just weapons" she says with a giggle. Telling her it might take two to three hours, she shrugged her shoulders and smiled "I guess I better pull up a seat, I wanna see this" she says with a smile spreading ear to ear, "I, umm, mean, if you don't mind me watch you" she comments with an innocent look upon her face.
  2. Cora laughed a small blush when he makes his comment, realizing that he had noticed she was looking. "Oh, I wouldn't have opposed" she says with a smirk. As they walked toward the forge Cora answered his question, "Well, I love my power don't get me wrong, it so much fun to listen to the screams of others" she says with a wicked grin on her face. She truly loved it, her voice dropped as she continued "as for fighting with a weapon, I've never been good at it, plus I don't like any of the weapons here, they just don't feel right in my hands. I do like hand-to-hand combat, so I want something that gets me close to them." As they walked, she tried to think of anything she had that would be worth Devon's while for this dagger he was making her, but she really didn't have anything he was talking about, she was pretty simple when it came to possessions, she had her clothes, one stuffed animal from when she was a little girl, and she one piece of jewelry that was he moms, so she isn't willing to part with it. "So, I guess I just need to pay you, because I don't have anything you're asking for" she says in a nonchalant voice, as they reached the forge, she listened to what Devon had to say but she definitely wasn't one to listen, as he started the forge, Cora was walking around looking at all the different things "Ya, ya, got it" she tells him dismissively. When he started to walk on her knife though, she stopped to watch, her eyes roaming, watching every muscle in his body moving, the sweat dripping making him look even more attractive. She jumped not realizing how long she had been staring, when Devon stopped what he was doing to grab some water, "Damn that looks hard" she says acting as if she was just watching what he was doing, and not just his body.
  3. Cora was puzzled for lack of better description of her emotions, there was a small change in Damien with how he spoke. This caught Cora off guard as she staired up at him, she wasn't sure what to say, because honestly it was kind of sweet. She didn't break though, her attitude on the outside was still a stone-cold wall. Her eyes could burn holes into his soul, she wanted to know more about this boy, she wanted to know what made him tick, what made him as an individual scared. Her aura alone not doing much to bother him. His question rang through her ears. "have you ever met someone who didn’t run away from your fire? Someone who was drawn to it instead?" As she was thinking about what the question, she heard a slight hiss, slightly looking around him she noticed the bottle rocket, but before she could comprehend what was about to go on, it went off with a loud POP! Her heart be speed up and she got chills as Damiens fear of the nose radiated through her. It was a fun filling for Cora, as for the boy not so much, she noticed how he lost his cocky demeanor for a bit, and his soft embarrassed chuckle was actually kind of cute, it made her icy demeanor break slightly as she smiled at him. With a soft giggle "are you ok?" she asked him, she could feel his fear which feed even more interest she had for the boy. When he isn't being cocky he actually seemed like a nice kid. "Well, it was for you" she said with a sly smirk. It's always fun with unexpected scares, they were right up there with causing the fear herself. "Anyways, as for you question, I guess I can give you that much" she said with a sigh, the jump scare definitely put her into a slightly better mood "No I haven't, I have people that don't run at first, but they do eventually" she continued as she started up at him, his softer demeanor a sight to see, it actually attracted her, "I will say, you haven't beat the amount of time it took someone to run from me" she says with a suggestive smile, as if she was challenging him.
  4. Cora eyes were still wondering, he was pretty good looking. As she listened to him speak, he named the knife she was wanting and her eyes shot back to his "Ya a push dagger!" she exclaims, "those look pretty cool, and being able to get right up close and personal to my enemies is so much more fun" she continues. As she follows Devon toward a small desk, she thought about what he had said for payment. Materials? What kind of materials would she have that he would want, she thought to herself, pondering. Looking down at her shirt, she grabs the shirt tugging it slightly "you mean material like this?" she questions him. She was so new to any of this she had no idea, what a Hephaestus camper would even want. He started talking about going to the forge and changing, and then rambled about what kind of material he would need to use "Umm I guess, whatever material you think will work best" she comments with her head tilted up to look at him, with a smile. Just then he walks off, assuming he went to change, she smirked and her thoughts got the best of her, she wanted to see and as far as she could tell he had just walked around the corner through a door opening, assuming it was his room, she inched closer to the door and peeked in. Her eye went wide seeing his abs, "Damn!" she says under her breath but louder than she meant for it to me. But she doesn't move, she was just a little to intrigued. Once he was changed though, she moved away from the door hoping he didn't see her. Taking a breath when all he asked was “When do you want this done by?” she smiled up at him with a slight blush, "However long it takes you, hey would you care if I watched you?" she questioned with a sly smirk playing a crossed her face.
  5. Cora turns toward the voice and laughs "Knock, what's that?" she questions with a smirk playing a crossed her lips. Walking over to the guy that just appeared, stopping right in front of him, he puts her hand on her hip and looks him up and down. "Hmmm well aren't you in such a rush! What if I just wanted to chat for a bit?" she loved to be a smart ass when the opportunity presented itself. This weird guy was actually kind of cute, and his attitude intrigued Cora, her aura was down; as she was pretty relaxed, so of course he might not run off screaming. "In some kind of rush? I was just admiring the interior, it looks nice!" she comments stalling anyway she could just to bug the guy. She had seen him around the camp, but she didn't really know he was either, he had introduced himself, but she didn't know his name. "I'm Cora" she smiled finally introducing herself. She rolled her eyes has he went into a speech about what he can and cannot do "Ya, Ya, I'm not after anything magical anyways, I just wanted something a little more unique than most of the weapons around here" she said as she tried to think how she was going to describe it. "I want a form of a dagger, that I can hold between my fingers" she tells him "Do you think you can do that?" she says in a teasing voice.
  6. Cora had always relied on her powers; she didn't start learning how to fight with any kind of weapon; until coming to camp. The problem was she didn't like any of the weapons that they had at camp to practice with. She hated training at this point because she doesn't want to use any of them. Instead, she constantly tells the cabin leaders that her fear works as the best weapon. She finally caved but said she wanted to find a weapon that would fit her, and her alone. She didn't want anyone else to use it. She liked to be unique. So, she was pointed to the Hephaestus cabin to talk with one of those campers. She really hopes one will be able to make her idea she is thinking of. Arriving at the Hephaestus cabin Cora walks in and looks around "Hello, anyone here?" she questions as she looks around the common area of the cabin, she had never been in this one, it was pretty cool looking.
  7. Cora rolled her eyes as the little boy talked; his cocky attitude just made his voice sounds like nails on a chalk board to her. What do these girls see in him? she thought to herself as he stepped closer to her, he was pushing his boundaries with her, and she wasn't sure how she felt about it. He obviously wasn't going to just leave her alone, especially not after those comments, he acted too much like a ladies' man for only being a teenager. Of course, Core was a teenager to, but she wasn't young and ignorant like him. In her head, trying to figure out how she wanted to respond to him, part of her wanted to play into this little game, and the other part of her was like 'just scare the shit out of him and be done', but she really hadn't had a chance to have some fun the last few days, so maybe this could be a fun opportunity to just play along and fuck with the boy. That's when he got even closer, and she was now having to tilt her head to look up at him. One thing she hated about being short, was that even people younger than her were even taller than her. Not back away though, she holds her ground as she place's her hand onto his chest and pushes him back slightly "down boy" she says in a mocking tone. "A puzzle huh?" she laughed; she'd never been referred to as a puzzle. Tilting her head to the side with a smirk dancing a crossed her face "You going to try to put me together?" she questioned him, it was a pretty good analogy, but she was definitely a broken one and there's no way anyone was going to get close enough to her to put her back together. Honestly, she didn't really want to be put back, she had been hurt more than enough times. Keeping her face, a mask, be damned she would let this sixteen-year-old, cocky boy see what he might be doing to her. She was intrigued, she really did like the face that she found someone that was sticking around instead of running off in terror, but why did it have to be him.
  8. Handing the flask back Cora could feel her headache start to fade away. Whatever was in that flask seemed to work like Damien had said, now if only it magically made this boys cockiness disappear. Rolling her eyes, she couldn't believe she was even giving this boy the time of day, but there was just one thing that kept her interested in the boy. He wasn't running or even acting like he even cares about the aura she was putting off. 'Persistence' she thought, as she staired him down, not giving him any sign of her own interest of him. Crossing her arms, she shifted to one leg as she stood in front of him, her lips curl into a small smirk. Unfolding an arm, she pushed her index finger into his chest "I don't take to kindly to persistence" she commented, she wasn't one to play games in that manner, if she isn't interested and someone tries to persist anyways, she usually likes to play her favorite game of getting them to reveal what they are scared of, and then she uses it. That was one good thing about the fact that this cocky boy was Apollo's son. She didn't need to peruse him into telling a fear, she had one handed to her. Snakes. Making his smartass comment, Cora rolls her eyes again. She couldn't believe that of all the people she could have run into, she just had to run into him. He was gorgeous, the way his skin glew in the sun light, and his eyes had a glint of playfulness in them. Too bad he was too young for Cora. She absolutely hated his cocky behavior, but she did think he looked particularly good, but she would never let him know that. With an annoyed look on her face, she caused the arura she was putting off swelling and cause a little more anxiety. "I’m not as easy to scare off as the others." Cora took these words as a challenge, and she loved a challenge "Oh really now? I'm sure I could scare you off really quick, but that's just a little too easy" she said with a coy smile a crossed her face. "What are you so intrigued about?" she questioned. She could see the way he looked at her, she could almost bet this cocky boy was going to get himself into a world of hurt and trouble.
  9. Cora watched the light flicker that the girl seemed to be controlling. She didn't really know what all the Iris kids could do, she never really ever paid attention to them, but now that her brother was talking with Petal, she had a lot more interest. Looking to the girl with a sly smile, she wonders if she should just come out and say what she was doing, or maybe bead around the bush some. "Nice to meet you Hailey" she commented very nonchalantly. She liked to meet new people, but usually because of how they acted around her, becoming anxious, it made it fun especially the feeling she gets when she senses their fear. This girl didn't show any sign of it, which made her wonder how much she could handle. Cora pushed her aura out a little more, letting it linger a little more intense to see how the girl would at then. Watching for a reaction, she laid back on her arms in the grass and smiled up at the sky. "That light is pretty cool, I didn't know you Iris kids could do that!" she commented with some enthusiasm. "What other things can you all do?" she questioned as she try to just get away from the question she was asked, she would rather the girl not know, because then it could mess up her little experiment.
  10. Cora had a great night spending some time with her little brother, she found more out about this Iris girl that has got him feeling stuff. She loved that her brother has found someone that sounds like they could handle their own being around us Phobos kids. Cora wanted to find out more about the Iris cabin though and wondered if there were other Iris campers that could handle our powers. She was mainly just curious if it was just something to do with this weird Petal girl or if it had something to do with their lineage from their godly parent. Because of this curiosity, she headed straight to the Iris cabin the next day, leaving her poor brother nursing a headache from being hungover. Arriving at the Iris cabin there was a girl sitting outside, she seemed to be enjoying the sun. Walking up to her, she plopped down onto the ground next to her "Hey there, I'm Cora, and you are?" she questioned with a smile. With the calmness Cora was feeling, her aura wasn't swirling strong around her, so she was hoping it wouldn't affect the girl to bad, if her experiment didn't work. @ Hailey King
  11. As Cora gets closer to Damien, the aura of her fear was already swirling around her, invisible to other campers but she can feel her power swarming the more she is aggravated. Just the sound of the kids voice was enough to make things worse. Taking a breath as she tries to relax a bit, biting her tongue, she was not in the mood to fight with a young boy with her head pounding like it was, and as much as she loved the scream of fear on a camper, again her head was not going to have that right now. Once she was right up next to him, she looks him up and down with an annoyed look on her face "right sure you do kid" she says rolling her eyes. She remembered the nights events as well, and she remembers how many times the poor boy got turned down by girls older than him. He might be good looking, but with his big head, Cora would never go for him. "I would need more then just two hands to count the number of times you were turned down by the older girls" she smirks, as she looks down at the bottle rockets. "The morning doesn't need any help being beautiful, especially help from something so loud" she says grumbling, as she puts her fingers to her temples, trying to get her head to stop hurting. Damien handed a flask to her saying it was some Apollo thing that could help with this headache, glaring at him as she hesitantly grabbed for the flask "this isn't some kind of trick is it?" she ask as she examined the flask. She knew Apollo kids had remedies of all sorts, but she still had a iffy feeling about the cocky little boy in front of her. Opening the flash she puts it to her nose giving it a sniff. Making a face, it stunk but it didn't smell like anything sketchy. Taking a breath she closes her eyes, opens her mouth and throws back some of the liquid down her throat. Swallowing it she coughs slightly with a gag, "YUCK!" she says as she hands the flask back to him, using her free hand to wipe her mouth. "Thanks, but please for the love of our gods, don't shoot off anymore of those damn bottle rockets!" she exclaims. She did know what thing about him, so if he tries anything or this liquid she just drank, isn't something to help her head, she knew exactly what she was going to do "I'm warning you, anything funny and you won't be laughing for long" she says giving I'm a serious look.
  12. Cora had a great time at the party, she actually passed out there after all the excitement. She had way too much of whatever that drink was last night, and now she was hung over and her head was pounding. Getting up from the ground, she dusted her dress off and looked around, seemed that post all the campers passed out here or in the cabin. Staggering slightly, she walked toward the forests edge, headed toward the water. She needed to get somewhere quite and alone before everyone started walking up and annoying her. As she walked toward the forest the sun was rising and started to blinding her slightly, squinting her eyes. Well this is just great! she thought to herself, her head was only getting worse by the second. The closer she got to her destination the louder this sound kept getting. She swore it sounded like fireworks but she couldn't see any because of the morning sun, but every time the noise would boom out, her head would start to throb, which caused her to become more and more irritated. Whenever she got mad, it was harder for her to control her ability. As the shore came into view she could see some kid sitting with his back turned away from her. Just as she approached him, he set off what looked like a bottle rocket, the sound hit again "aaarrgghh" she said letting out an annoyed growl. "What the hell are you doing??" she yelled at the kid, as she covered her ears.
  13. Cora was picky on who's parties she would go to, Ash's birthday parties were one of them that she wouldn't miss for anything. Honestly any party at the Dionysus cabin is pretty fun. She had relaxed majority of the day in her room that day, just wanting to relax. When she finally felt like getting up, she took a quick shower and then found a simple black dress and heels and through them on, looking into the mirror at herself with a smirk. On fun reason to go to parties is scaring the unexpected campers that are just having such a good time. Walking out she picked into her Gael's room and seen he was already gone, he really wasn't to much on parting but maybe the girl that's been on his mind convinced him to go to the party. Shrugging she walked out of the cabin and headed toward the loud pulsating music. Once she was there, she went straight for the drink, grabbing a cup she downed it in seconds. She needed that small push just to enjoy the party. As she looked through the crowd she spotted her brother, who was talking to two cute girls. A smirk playing on her face she grabbed another drink and made a beeline for her brother. Walking up behind the red head "Hey there bro, so these two girls got you to come to the party huh?" she said teasingly with a smile.
  14. Cora hated going to classes it was her least favorite thing to do at camp. So, after lunch she grabbed her favorite person to be with and convinced him that she would be worth skipping classes. But, before he could really even agree or disagree, she grabbed him by the hand and started to pull him towards the forest with a huge smile spreading across her face. Mateo wasn't exactly a goody too shoes that needed to be at his classes and try to protest. Dragging him down the trail, she had a spot in mind that was deep into the forest, she had found it one day exploring, and it was the perfect place to have some fun. Giggling as she tried to play innocent, not telling him of her plans. They had a very active relationship, and he knew her a little too well for her own good. Next thing Cora knew, she was pushed against a tree, by Mateo, his dominates was impeccable, as she looked up at him innocently, trying to play off how it made her feel when he used his size against her. "Hey" she giggled "We aren't there yet, can't you contain yourself a little longer" she smirked, sticking her tongue at him, she wasn't a full-on brat, but she did like to push Mateo's buttons just a little sometimes. When Mateo lent down, Cora pushed up on her tiptoes to meet his kiss, as a small moan slipped from her lips, when she felt his hands linger on her skin. She loved the feel of his soft but rough hands on her bare skin, it always gave her goosebumps. "I think that we should take this a little farther." The words that came from him, hit Cora hard, she knew what she was getting into with Mateo, they had talked about it multiple times, but she had yet to actually give herself over to him, sign his contract and forever be his 'pet'. She loved the idea of it. She knew exactly what he meant before he even said it. She was ready, she wanted to sign his contract, and be able to please him how ever he wanted, whenever he wanted. Within seconds a scroll appeared out of thin air, which made her smile, she loved his magical powers. Reaching up she grabbed the scroll, tucking it into her back pocket of her jeans, she used her size to slide out from under him, and take off running, she was so excited that he wanted to take it to the next level, she couldn't help but be giddy and playful. "Come on!" she yelled "I have a special place to show you, and we can go over the scroll there" she yelled with excitement. The place she had found wasn't that far off from where they were. Coming to a stop when she reached the spot. It was a small quite area near the far end of the lake, there stood a huge weeping willow that she absolutely loved. Once Mateo was in sight, she walked through the leaves of the tree to sit underneath it. When Mateo joined her, she smiled up at him from her seated position "isn't this beautiful?" she questioned him.
  15. Cora smiled as she wrapped an arm around her around her little brothers shoulders. They had almost made it to the lake side in silence, when Gael spoke up, asking her what was going on with her. She looked to him and then back to the lake. "Oh not much, just had something racing around in my mind, and needed some fresh air" she says with a smile. Her brother had no idea the mess she was about to cause with Mateo and Helena. The most he knew was that She use to date Mateo, and now he is with another girl who is now pregnant with their child. She honestly wasn't sure if she should tell her brother, he probably wouldn't care, but at the same time she really didn't want to talk about it right now, her feelings were still mixed up in it pretty bad and she just wanted to relax. As they reached the lake, she kicked her shoes off, sat down into the sand and dug her feet into the sand, with a sigh, loving the feel. Patting the ground next to her for her brother to join, "Sooo, what's going on with you? I've seen around camp, it looks like you have the attention of that Iris girl" she says with a smirk on her face.
  16. Cora couldn't sleep, she was restless, tossing and turning. Finally, getting up after fighting the urge long enough, she grabbed a light jacket tossed it over her black spaghetti strap that she used as a pajama top. She was wearing some black booty shorts but decided that wasn't the best idea to hang out by the lake in, so she grabbed a pair of gray sweet pants and yanked them on as she walked out of her room. She noticed that her brother's door was open and decided to peek in on him. He seemed to be having the same issues as her. She lightly knocked on his door "hey, want to go to the lake with me?" she whispered with a small smile. Cora loved that she had a brother at the camp, growing up she was all by herself. So being able to share the same abilities and getting to know her brother was the best thing about coming to camp. @ Gael Masterson
  17. Cora Laine biography Cora was born at midnight on December 1st, sadly her mother didn't survive the birth. Cora was taken home to be raised by her grandparents Mr. and Mrs. Laine. Her grandparents hated her, they blamed her for their only child's death, and she resembled her mother, which only made it worse. As she grew up, her grandparents shunned her and told her, that it was her fault her mother was dead. By the time Cora was 6, her grandparents made her move to the basement, they would lock her down there, thinking that she hated it, but really, she loved it being in the dark with little light and able to do pretty much whatever she wanted, she was quite content on her own. She didn't know why they did it, but she never cared to ask. Going through school she noticed that kids seemed scared of her, which kind of bothered her at first. At first, she wanted friends but the harder she tried the worst the hurt was when kids would run off screaming. Cora gave in and started to embrace her appearance, acting as scary as kids thought she was. She had no idea that she was projecting their fears at them. When Cora got into 6th grade she meets a boy name Avery, who seemed to be a bit scared of her, but he pressed through to her and became her best friend. She still walked around like she was some badass scary person, even though deep down she just wanted to be liked. Even her grandparents were scared of her, they hardly even talked to her at this point. When she was 12 and half some type of shadow monster attacked her while she was out walking around her neighborhood at dusk, it was her favorite time of the day. She tried to run from it but it was faster, so she tried to fight with it, but she was losing. Just as she went flying a crossed the street, she seen something come running up and attack the monster. Standing to her feet, she noticed it was her friend Avery, but something was different about him. Avery was able to get the monster to leave for now. When he came over to Cora her eyes were wide, she couldn't believe what she was seeing "What are you?!" she exclaimed. Avery her hand and with a smile he said he was a Satyr and she needed to get to camp half blood. Cora wasn't sure if she should believe him or not, but the thought of leaving her grandparents' house and starting over somewhere that was supposed to have others like her, it made her excited. Following him back to her grandparents house, she was slightly worried what they might think. But when Avery said she needed to leave here, Mr. and Mrs. Laine barely gave him time to explain, interrupting to say "good redans" After a long few days of traveling with Avery they arrived at the camp. Cora was soon claimed by her father Phobos, and learned that she had a younger half brother who lived at camp. She stayed at camp, she did not want to go back to her home for school or anything. She was finally happy. Spending her days mostly with her brother, and walking the woods at dusk. Personality Cora still likes to think of herself as a badass, but since coming to the camp, she learned about her power and realized that she could control it. This realization made her extremely happy, she started to make all kinds of friends throughout the camp. She isn't one to shy away from virtually anything. She loves to be surrounded by people. She does have a dark side, if you pick on her or someone she cares about, she is not afraid to use her power on said person. Cora's favorite place to be is out by the lake at night. During the day she is either with her friends or with her brother. She can be one of the sweetest persons you ever meet, or one of the scariest persons you ever meet. You choose your desired experience with her.
