The North Woods

Finley braced himself as Elena lunged forward, her agility evident in her swift movements. He couldn't help but admire her determination and skill. As she reached for his shoulder, he instinctively tried to evade her attack, knowing that one wrong move could leave him vulnerable. The thrill of their playful competition surged through his veins, and he focused on maintaining his balance and outsmarting her. With a mischievous grin, he sidestepped her grab, narrowly escaping her clutches. But then another one on his team Silvio had come out to help protect the flag. Giving him a nod of thanks he waited for the next attack.

Elena was near the flag but she felt like someone was throwing some beans or nuts towards her direction, or probably was meant for another but she quickly dodge it as well while tending to Finley. Smiling she could see how quick Fin had reacted to her attack as he side dodged her aim leaving her going forwards. She braked herself abruptly and noticed that she was nearer to the flag than Fin. Feeling the victory near her once more she could better reach for the flag now.

Axel strode proudly through the woods, the hellhound fang resting heavy in his pocket. He'd been tempted to find something to string it up with. A keychain, a necklace... something to tie that weight to him more permanently than simply letting it rest in his pocket. It was a good weight - a wonderful weight. Something to remind him of the battle he and his sister had just won. The boy found himself daydreaming, picturing the hefty fang tied around his neck by a solid leather band. In his dream it was accompanied by several other trophies. Talons and teeth of various monsters represented the many battles he'd fought and won. One day he hoped to make that dream a reality.

Though for now he supposed he should focus on a less lofty but still important goal. They were in the middle of a game after all. Speaking of...

The commotion in the north part of the woods alerted him to his target. Axe pivoted directions, pacing toward the source of the noise with a determined stride. As soon as he broke into the clearing, he noticed one of the Ares campers fighting the blue defenders. He moved in beside her in fighting formation. "Got your back."

The Storyteller

Elena was able to grab the flag and make a break for the Red Team's base. It was a long and arduous journey, with Finley hot on her heels. But eventually she was able to take it back to the Red Team's base, claiming 1 point for her team.

Red has successfully captured the Blue Team's flag, Blue Team your flag will be placed in a new location (check your PMs).

The Storyteller

The Blue team was given a new directive after their flag was captured, they were to head out to the North Woods to set their flag flying high once more. The team trekked into the forest, and managed to set their flag. Hopefully it would be protected well enough to prevent the red team from finding it.

Trying to quietly breathe, he calculated what it would take for him to have a run for the flag. He was only 9 well almost 10 now as his birthday was 2 days away. But he did not have long legs at all. Looking around he didn't see any older campers but that didn't mean anything. Then telling himself he was just going to have to do it, ran for it. The flag was in sight but would he be able to grab it?

Helena decided to go for one last attempt at protecting the flag. She was beyond exhausted at this point. She was angry and frustrated with herself for deciding she had something to prove. But it was almost over now. The sun was starting to set. Surely they would be calling the game at any moment. She stood near the flag and kept her eyes peeled for opponents.

Just as he was going for it, he stopped when Helena blocked him. GREAT HER AGAIN he thought to himself. Huffing and puffing he then had to rethink what he was trying to do. He knew she was probably tired by this point so could he out run her with his tiny legs? Well it was worth the shot right!!! So then trying to fake her out he went for the flag once more.

Lena continued to search the area for opponents. She hadn't spotted anyone yet, but that didn't mean they weren't out there. People could hide in the dense forest fairly easily. She could hear the occasional twig snapping, but couldn't find the source. Someone was out there, but they hadn't made themselves known. She knew it.

But then he came out! That small kid. She moved between him and the flag.

The sun was going down which played in his favor as he would try and move in the shadows to keep cover. Even if he was just a little kid he would try and play the game the way he knew. Since he was getting bigger he knew that he could not take on the older campers just yet. All he had for weapons was a wooden dagger he made and then a slingshot.  It was then when he realized that she had seen him, CRAP he thought as his eyes got big. Dodging this way then that he would do his best to slip by her to get the flag.

Hailey was not backing down from her team, much less the attacking side as well. She told her teammates that she will be back to the blue base defending their flag while they could change their roles for awhile. She was holding a sword this time defending the flag at all cost. She saw her teammate facing the other from the red team and she had to help. It was time that she gave her all right this moment!

The Red team was so close to winning, which only pushed him more and more to do his best to get it. Running through the woods he found his way towards the sounds. As it came into view he noticed poor little derrick trying to outrun the pregnant Helena but then Hailey was also there. Raising an eyebrow he was wanting to add to the chaos. So charging as fast as he could he held his sword out ready to take on hailey to get to the flag!

Hailey was not going to give in to the other team despite their chase in the points for victory. She had prepared a lot for this event but she didn’t forget to do her own stuff either. Well she needed to help out at the kitchen and also go to the arts centre everyday. It was pretty much a busy life but she also had time to train herself. Standing there she spotted the Ares boy Liam again, and of course she had to block him. She knew how strong they can be so she had to be ready. She raised her sword towards him to defend the flag.  "Not today !”

Derrick could see he had a lot more things to overcome so he stopped and pulled out his slingshot. He was going to use this to get past Helena but then noticed Hailey. It was then that liam came out charging. With a smirk he nodded as he aimed rocks at hailey as the two of them would clash. Maybe he could add to the battle and throw hailey off target at least.

Liam saw Hailey standing resolute, her sword raised to defend the flag. He charged forward, his focus solely on the flag and winning the game. As he closed in on Hailey, he could see the determination in her eyes, mirroring his own. With a swift and calculated move, Liam clashed swords with Hailey, their blades meeting with a resounding clash. The intensity of the battle heightened. Liam's mind raced, analyzing Hailey's every move, searching for an opportunity to gain the upper hand. He knew he had to channel his training and experience to outwit and outmaneuver her. That was when he saw Derrick out of the corner of his eyes.

Hailey was overly focused on her sword and Liam in front of her so she wasn’t aware about the others at the moment. She was already charging at him and they clashed their swords against each other which to Hailey’s pleasantry, she could control the strength with no problem. She had to push again to gain momentum and enough weight for him to back down. It was just then that she felt something being thrown towards her. She dodged it swiftly and looked towards the direction. Seeing it coming from Derrick, she knew she had to put up with both of them! But she had her teammate Helena here and the rest around so she wasn’t afraid.

Derrick could not help but giggle as he was having the best time. This game was a lot of fun and he finally got to play this year. He had gotten the flag before so he knew it was possible. So as he slung more rocks at the hailey girl he tried to aim for her as he hoped a rock would get her. Maybe making it easy for Liam who was super bigger than he was. Those Ares campers were kind of scary but he was happy they were on his team and not the other side.

Liam did not look around but focused on the battle in front of him. Laughing he could feel his rage fuel him as he fought with hailey. This iris girl was a joke right???? I mean he had hated a few iris girls but again they always said his communication was bad so it did not go well. He also had that run in with petal which liked him? Anyways he was quite happy to keep a distance from them for his liking. Going at Hailey again he would determined to get to the flag!

Hailey was never going to be tired of this as she felt the skills she had learnt coming off her. She dodged as quickly as possible from both of them, one hitting and one throwing randomly. She swore she could’ve gone there and kicked the boy but she had to focus on one first. She resided her position to a flying kick , with her sword, gaining enough strength to do that in one shot!

Liam's focus sharpened as he saw Hailey move. He knew he had to react quickly to avoid being caught off guard by her attack. Anticipating her move, Liam sidestepped, narrowly evading the full force of her strike. He seized the opportunity, swiftly countering with a quick jab towards her exposed side. Would he knock her back? Only time would tell if he would out do her in this match as the two of them fought!

Petal couldn't believe her luck, she'd been looking for her sister and now she'd found her. Not only that but she was fighting that handsome Liam for the flag! Ooooooo this could be fun she thought to herself as she walked up, being carful to stay out of distance from their fighting. "Hellowwwww Liam!" She said, with a giggle as she waved at the Ares boy she'd had a bit of a crush on. Maybe she could distact him a bit in his fight, who knows?

If someone who could tell prophecies told him his fight today was going to be an interesting one he would have just shook his head and laughed. But it was as if the fates wanted to have a show worth watching! He was focused on Hailey but then he turned to see OH NO IT WAS PETAL. He tried to keep the hailey girl at bay but then he was going to have to keep away from petal. Would she try and kiss him? "Stay back you" he said as he tried again for the flag.

"St...stay back?" Petal repeated, pretending to be hurt. She secretly assumed Liam couldn't resist her and that this was just some tough guy he was putting on in front of her sister. "Why Liam how could you!!" but she couldn't stop the giggle that came out at the end. "Don't worry I won't try and mess with the flag behind your back while you're fighting. I can tell it's already hard enough for you to keep my sister at bay." She teased as she started up a cheer leader dance. "Go Hailey!!" She might have had a crush on Liam, but Hailey was family.

Hailey dodged again and again, thinking of ways to strike back. This ares boy was tough but she wasn’t going to let her team down. She hoped for the others to arrive , maybe someone stronger than them. She turned around when she heard a familiar voice and beamed immediately, so happy to see her sister and to have help. She was already sweating but she wasn’t backing down either . She also sensed something going on between her sister and the ares boy , but her sister’s cheer for her made her wave of her sword strike again. This time harder!
