RPC 19) Get captured!

Dahlia was roaming in the woods as she loved to do. Being in nature was where she felt at home as her mother was strong with the harvest!!!! As she walked in the woods she was trying to be silent as she felt the plants around her. Trying to sneak towards the enemy camp to capture their flag. Dahlia was thinking in her mind of a song she loved to sing but would not sing it out loud in case someone was close. That was when she heard some voices in the distance. Crouching low to the ground she hid behind a tree waiting for them all to pass.

RPC 19

Annie had set off again in search of the red team flag, she loved running through the woods always with the adrenaline derived from the desire to be found by someone and engage in battle.  Slipping with ice on her feet among the trees as if the woods were her skating rink gave her euphoria and she couldn't contain her feelings...but at one point she saw someone, she immediately hid behind a shrub to check if whether friend or foe, but then he recognized her, it was a girl of Demeter's whose name he couldn't remember, but who he had definitely seen during pre-game planning.

She then left the bush to go towards her and found her face frowning, as if she were listening to something, Annie tried to keep quiet and in fact she heard noises too, but she didn't understand what or where they belonged.

Dahlia glanced around, her senses heightened as she tried to pinpoint the source of the voices. She motioned for Annie to stay silent, placing a finger to her lips. Slowly and carefully, she maneuvered through the trees, using her knowledge of the woods to remain unseen. As the voices got closer, she recognized them from the rival team. Peeking from behind a thick cluster of foliage, Dahlia saw a group of enemy players huddled together, strategizing. Their backs were turned, unaware of her presence. Dahlia's heart raced with excitement as she realized this was the perfect opportunity to gather valuable information. She strained her ears, trying to catch snippets of their conversation, but the wind carried only fragments of words. That was when she noticed one them going going off by themselves.....maybe they could capture this person "Lets follow them" she mouthed as to be very quiet but trying to tell annie what she was doing.

Annie was also lying on the grass to try to listen to the conversation of the opponents and felt the excitement for this kind of thing, they were real spies and being able to observe the others without them noticing everything was really fantastic! If she leaned in far enough she could see them, but she, after doing it the first time, she decided not to try again because she could put them in a dangerous situation. A rustle of air brought her back to reality and she turned her gaze to Dahlia, she was whispering fast institutions to her and, with the corner of her eye, she too noticed some suspicious movements, Annie stood up carefully, trying not to make any noise, and, together with Dahlia, set off in pursuit. But she had a bad feeling…

Dahlia and Annie moved with utmost caution, Dahlias own steps light as they trailed the lone enemy player who had strayed from the group. The tension in the air was palpable as they ventured deeper into the woods, the sound of their own breathing drowned out by the rustling of leaves underfoot. Dahlia could feel a knot forming in her stomach. As they crept closer, Dahlia's eyes narrowed, trying to discern the intentions of the enemy player. The figure seemed to be searching for something, moving with purpose through the dense foliage. A sense of foreboding washed over Dahlia, but her determination propelled her forward. She signaled to Annie to halt momentarily, and together they watched as the rival player reached a hidden spot, bending down and unearthing a concealed package. What did they have? But just then a sound behind them happen. Making her turn around to see that they were surrounded. "RUN" she yelled to annie. That was when Dahlia put her hands out as she made the vines on the trees attack those around them. Dahlia using all the fighting skills she had.

She understood it, she swore it! Annie had a bad feeling, all the noises she heard couldn't come only from the boy who moved, he wasn't the only one there with them. Maybe some of their teammates saw them and were coming to help them? A rustle in the branches and Annie and Dahlia were surrounded… maybe they weren't their teammates. "RUN" she heard Dahlia's command and Annie couldn't respond in shock, her hands moved on their own as she tried to escape with the ice, but someone pinned her arms and then she was knocked down with chains. She tried to freeze them but they resisted, these were the chains that blocked the extreme temperatures of Hephaestus' children, damn! What a great way to test them... She took one look at Dahlia and said, "Run away!". Everything went black.

Dahlia's heart pounded in her chest as she witnessed Annie being restrained and overwhelmed by the enemies. Fear and desperation surged through her veins, but she knew she couldn't abandon her friend. Without hesitation, she sprinted towards Annie, her mind racing for a way to free her from the clutches of their captors. Summoning the power of Demeter coursing through her, Dahlia focused her energy on the surrounding environment. Vines sprouted from the ground, snaking their way toward the enemy players, aiming to entangle and hinder them. She fought with all her might, using her knowledge of the woods and her powers to create a diversion, giving Annie a chance to escape. That was when some of the others got her as well. Holding her down 'you are captured' they said looking all smug. Dahlia pouted as she was still thing of ways to try and escape. But it was no luck they had been taken by the red team.

[Last post for dahlia....go ahead and end it]

It was all black and Annie felt herself drifting into unconsciousness as she opened her eyes abruptly. The light hurt, but she quickly got used to it, she saw her and Dahlia tied to a tree in the middle of an open patch of land, this was the previous encampment of the red squad portion they had been spying on. By the way... where had they gone? It was enough for her to look up to understand it, they were all there watching them to make sure they didn't run away. Annie's eyes darted far and wide to find something to escape with, unfortunately most of the objects were positioned away from the two of them. Her hands were up behind her back and touching the tree. Of course the tree! Dahlia could control it right? He looked at her trying to make himself understood but she still seemed dazed by what was going on. She just had to wait then. She decided to whisper to her one last thing, a promise. "We'll go out, whatever the cost.".

The Storyteller

After having their flag captured, the Red team was given a new directive, they were to head up to the heights of Zeus's fist and set their flag within it.

The team trekked through the forest and managed to set their flag. Hopefully it would be protected well enough to prevent the blue team from finding it once more.

Since the last round of capture she wasn’t going to back down just yet. Katie knew how to gain points for the team so she had to stay focus and alert on the task at hand. She always needed to be at the base but she thought attacking the other team was useful too as she could divert their attention back to their own. She walked towards the blue team and was ready to snag the flag. Seeing that not many of them were guarding it she knew it was her chance to now.

Derrick was so upset that he lost a flag to the blue team as he almost got cooties from that petal girl. Gosh cooties are gross and so are most girls!!!! Wiping his face he was walking towards his flag when he saw a athena girl going for it! Not on his watch, running out he got in front of her with his wooden dagger. “Not today lady” he was puffing out his chest to be all brave!

Samantha had been briefly separated from Evelyn. Evelyn had insisted she sunbathe when they passed the perfect spot in a clearing. As much as Samantha wanted to join her as the two had grown MUCH closer during the game she was just too competitive. Plus in all her time hanging with Evelyn she hadn't reallyyyy been focussing on capturing flags so much as capturing Evelyn's lips. She needed to fix that as she couldn't disappoint her teammates. Plus this one seemed to only be guarded by a little kid. How hard could it be?

Derrick was being all brave and stuff as he held off Katie. He did not know that someone else was close by or he might be running to hide. He was only 9 years old after all and soon he would be 10! But until then he would have to try and be brave and ward off anyone until one of the older campers showed up. Maybe big irish man or even one of the ares campers would help a bit. Either way he kept waving his dagger in front of him towards katie.

Killian had been off setting traps with Willow but he was now making his way back towards the flag as he knew that he left it with Derrick to guard. He of course had lost the flag before but when you have such a wee little camper on your team. Then it was a bit harder to find a place for them. So as the flag came into view he noticed that derrick was fighting of a weee athena camper. A young lass who was trying to get by him. Running he came up behind Derrick. "So worries lad, I am here!"

"Thought you'd be off passed out drunk somewhere in these woods Killian" Samantha taunted as she raised her sword defensibly. Two against one was never easy, she'd have to be on guard now. She felt good about taking on Killian but Derrick would be a real wildcard with that slingshot of his! "Derrick hun why don't you go back to your cabin and let the adults handle this ok? Don't want you getting hurt too badly" she cautioned.

Derrick was nervous but then heard the big ole irish man come up to help him. "Good....you are here" he breathed out as he felt him body relax but it wasn't much longer when Samantha popped out of the trees.....wait did she or was she there the whole time? Well anyways it made him have his dagger out as he put it at katie and then towards Samantha. "Hey wine dude, you got the older one right?" But then her next words got him all mad "NOOO I AM PLAYING...it isn't fair that if i dont" he said scrunching up his face!

Killian was there for maybe a wee bit of time when Samantha showed up. A smirk came on his face as he laughed at her comment. "No I was actually setting traps but the drinking will come later when we win" he said back to her. "You know a victory toast" he laughed as he watched Derrick tense up. Patting him on the shoulder he did not want the boy to hurt himself but he did want to play. "You can play don't worry, she is just nervous at your talent....arent you Samantha?"

Samantha was reminded of the last time she'd spared with a younger camper. Images of a broken and beaten Kenna still guilted her mind. "Well, don't say I didn't warn you Derrick, when you're in the infirmary you'll have only yourself to blame. And as for you Killian you should know better than allowing kids to play in this dangerous game. Is your desire to win that strong you'd allow kids to fight??" She charged and took her first swing at the Irishman, she was mad and her self-righteous side was flaring up now.

All Derrick wanted to do was yell at the older lady who was saying he could get hurt. “Ha I am stronger than I look lady” he glared at her. He would show her a thing or two about him handling himself just fine. Plus Azrael has had a whole year to train him with axes and such! Crossing his arms he made sure to stand in her way to the flag “I’m not scared of you” he said spitting on the ground. If she wanted the flag he was filling to fight her for it!

Why must all Athena campers be so full of themselves as if they were the only ones to care about anything or anyone else. "If I didn't care for the wee lad I wouldn't be here, but I am miss" he said to her trying to keep his cool. Playing with his hair he slicked it back and looked to Derrick "No worries lad, you will show her what you are made of" he laughed as he pulled out his own sword. It was like this last time they had met up too! Always thinking so lowly of him, which he didn't mind but he would show her that it was more than just winning. It was giving the wee lad some experience as he wasn't able to leave the camp like the others did when they got permission.

Samantha's competitive streak blazed as she took on Killian. Her protective side however, guilted at her. She didn't want to see Derrick get hurt even if he was foolishly brave and terribly annoying. "Then at least make sure he knows the risks," she shot back at Killian keeping her eyes darting toward Derrick with concern. She had to make this quick. She had to secure the flag without causing serious harm to Derrick. Killian on the other hand, him she didn't made knocking some sense into! So she quickly sent a lightening fast jab towards his mid section meant to knock him back quick.

Killian could see the concern in Samantha's eyes but the wee lad had to learn. He didn't come to came with rainbows and sunshine as none of them do! He himself had to watch his friends burn in a fire he started because of a monster. The thoughts haunted him more than anything but he knew the lad had show he was strong. "Well he is on my team and we work together so bring it on Child of Athena" he said with a smirk as he watched he do a jab at his torso. Doing a circle move with his own he deflected it as he looked back "Now derrick" he said with a smile as he then pushed back at Samantha with his strength. Going at her with attacks that he had mastered for years now.

Derrick was still a bit annoyed with the girl as she making as if he was a baby. HE WAS NO BABY! He was big and strong like the others at camp. It was almost two years that he had been at this camp now. His 10th birthday just around the corner which was so exciting for him. But then it all happened so fast as he took a step back as Samantha attacked Killian which his little face was going back and forth when Killian called him to action. "Oh right" he said as he reached in his pocket to pull out rocks and began to use his slingshot to fire at Samantha as he was doing his part of the battle.

Samantha was now in the thick of it, an angered child and a cocky Irishman attacking from both sides! Uggggg the little kid was actually a pretty good shot forcing her to stay on her toes. "Alright kid, have it your way," she grumbled. But Samantha's main focus remained Killian. The more experienced and physically stronger opponent, he posed the real threat. She darted and lunged deflecting his blows while attempting to land some of her own. She attempted again to land a direct hit on Killian! How was he so fast??
