Truth, Dare or a Secret Third Thing

Recommended Posts

Tempest wasn't quite sure why Celeste couldn't simply ask Mila herself before she left but whatever! Clearly Celeste was taking to the dare which was nice. She knew the girl would be capable and if she did manage to screw it up then all the better, the fallout of the drama would be worth it. Turning to her sister, "Well, what will it be, Truth or Dare?"

Mila was looking around wondering what the game was about and how it was running along as she didn’t think she had played this kind of game before….or was it because the mood around her was a little bit weird? She could feel the tension between some, and some were enjoying them in a unique way she could tell. She turned towards her sister when she asked her what she would choose.  "Ummm let’s see…..how about dare?” She thought it was a it more fun doing a dare than the truth, well since she was already used to the truth being a Nemesis child. So why not just let herself out and open in some weird stuff tonight?

Tempest had the perfect dare in mind for her sister, especially considering how much fun they'd had with Loukas earlier. "Alright, brave soul," she began. "For your dare... you're going to need a blindfold. Once it's securely on, one of our fellow campers here will give you a kiss. Your task is to guess who it was. And just so we're clear," Tempest added with a wicked glint in her eye, "if you guess wrong, you'll be taking a refreshing skinny dip in the lake, much like our dear friend Loukas had the honor of doing earlier this evening. What do you say? Do you have the courage?" Tempest reached into her bag, pulling out a dark piece of cloth she had once used as a makeshift sleeping mask. "Here's your blindfold," she declared, twirling it in her fingers. She threw it to Mila, watching intently for her reaction.

Mila blinked, still stunned and wondering whether the words came out off her sister. Her sister!!!! It seems like her sister was very keen to let her meet people and….kiss…..and then…...!!!!! Though she was a brave soul indeed and had no choice but to accept the dare. "Dang sis, didn’t know you had that in you.” She caught the blindfold Tempest handed her , wiggling it before getting to the centre and putting it on reluctantly. Now standing still she waited for the other brave soul for the kiss. Hmmmm who could it be?

Miro was sitting next to Novalie the whole time, marveling at what came out of Tempest's mouth, the girl could be very mean, and the fact that Mila was her sister didn't change anything. But Miro was blushing because although he had come here to get over Elena, he was developing a crush on a certain girl....they had only seen each other a few times but....would this be the right time? No one got up, it was his time. He kept looking at Mila in the center and didn't give a single glance to the others, he knew that if he did he would lose all the trust he had. He got up and walked over to Mila, the fact that she was blindfolded helped, she got closer and closer until their noses touched, he kissed her and his heart fluttered with joy, it was his only attempt to win her secretly, so he made the kiss last quite a while, he knew he good at it and the one in front of him was Mila, his maybe-secret crush. Then he stopped, and their lips parted, he stood in front of her, waiting for her reaction.

Mila was standing as still as the summer night, awaiting to be lit. She wasn’t at all nervous, but very curious to who might that be. Part of her hoped that wouldn’t be a girl, but if it was she would also want to know how it felt like. The touch of someone’s lips…..no she hadn’t been kissed before. If this wasn’t a game it would be her first kiss. Her first kiss!!! And then she felt it, soft and tender, wrapped around her lips just nice. It was soft and sweet and it was really good to be honest. It must be a guy, and she felt taken away by the kiss as she kissed the person back fully as if drawn by it. My, her first kiss was such a great one! Excitement drew in her until the person drew away. She could’ve pulled the person back to continue their kiss but she didn’t want to interrupt the game. She could feel how the person had felt, like someone had been interested in kissing her, but couldn’t quite put who that was. Probably someone she knew, or someone just happened to like kissing like most of them here………… She began her guess in her mind quickly, beginning to feel the lower hand of the game right now. Oh well, just take a guess and be brave. "Um…….uh……….I guess it’s…………is it Miro?” Because he was one of the boys she talked to more before here and well she kind of had a crush on him too so…. She was still blindfolded since she didn’t want to hear the result of getting skinny dipping tonight, oh that would be very awkward. She was still a reserved girl ya know!

Miro stood in front of her as he waited for her answer, so close he could feel her breath on his neck, he was a little scared actually that she didn't like it....although he heard how she kissed him back. .. or that she thought someone else had given it to her. As he saw her lost in thoughts of her she licked his lips briefly, lost in the memory of hers, it wasn't his first kiss but, even if it was just a game and probably Mila didn't reciprocate his crush, it had been the best he had ever had. She kissed well…her lips soft and…

when he heard her talking about him he froze, her voice was slow and he worked out each word. Miro heard his own name come out of her mouth and instinctively hugged her, whispering "You guessed right Mila" and smiled so much. He then remembered that everyone was watching them, a little demeanor Miroslaw. He pulled away from the hug and then took off her blindfold, giving her another smile, just for her, he didn't say 'our kiss was amazing, I hope we'll do it again soon' but he thought so, yes. Then he stood up, this time wanting to see everyone's reactions, and walked back to his sister, proud.

Gael watched as the others began to call out truth or dare to each other and he was pretty glad that he hasn't been called out, he wasn't sure if he would do anything like that. Without thinking much, he sat himself behind Petal, stretching his legs around her, lightly pulling her back to his chest. He didn't know what she was going to do but he felt like having a little fun. Besides the remark that she had made, made him think that she was a little salty about something that was said. Was it about how Alyssa said he was cute. He couldn't help but smirk about the thought. Maybe she did have some kind of feeling about it. Wouldn't it be fun if he could play those out of her. He glanced from around her and looked out into the rest of the group while he placed his fingers through her hair for a moment. It was soft. Uh. He blinked and looked back at the colorful hair in his hand and pulled it lightly enough to bring her ear to his mouth. "I think know a secret." he muttered in her ear before he moved her head up, still running his fingers through her hair.

Mila could only feel the person’s lips at that moment so she couldn’t feel anything else anymore other than her own heart beating fast. You guessed right Mila. The words made her heart beat even more but she still remained in her position. So she guessed right after all, huzzah to that, she didn’t have to skinny dip any more!! But she was more concerned to the person in front of her, and slowly she relieve the blindfold, watching him who was standing very close to her. She smiled as he mentioned about looking forward for their next kiss, which she hoped it would really come true from the Aphrodite’s son. She threw the blindfold back to her sister Tempy and went back to her seat. "Okay I’ll pick………Gael next, truth or dare? " She noticed how weird it had been from his actions, but she thought she find everyone weird as well. Ah well, can’t blame those kids with troubled parents including her can she?

Petal's breath caught in her throat as Gael's long, lean frame enveloped her from behind. Every fiber of her being screamed to pull away, to distance herself from the unpredictability and chaos that was Gael. And yet, she remained immobile, trapped in his embrace, his darkness pulling her in like a moth to a flame. His fingers threading through her hair felt like soft tendrils, both comforting and invasive. As he whispered into her ear, a shiver ran down her spine, and not entirely from the cold. Petal's heart raced, her pulse quickened, and her breathing became erratic. The teasing edge in his voice was unmistakable, making her wonder what mischief he was plotting this time.

She leaned into his touch just a fraction, despite herself. She was torn between wanting to break free and relishing the dangerous warmth of his proximity. The very essence of him was intoxicating, making it harder for her to think straight. "What secret?" she finally managed to murmur, her voice betraying a hint of vulnerability. She tried to regain her composure, focusing on the game and the people around them, but it was impossible to ignore Gael's lingering presence and the sensation of his fingers gliding through her hair. Every tug, every gentle pull was a reminder of the complex web of emotions he invoked in her. She was trapped in this dance with him, not entirely unwilling but still fearful of where it might lead.

Gael couldn't help but have a smirk play on his lips as he threaded his fingers through her hair. There was a lot going on in his head at the moment. The fact that she allowed him to pull her close and then even more that she hadn't up and left him. Was he winning this little game. Was he breaking her? He had to wonder. Though he did really enjoy the way that she spoke to him. There was something in her voice that grasped at something inside of him. He hummed softly, allowing his fingers to flow through her hair a little more. "A secret that you're keeping." he muttered back to her. Fixing his eyes on the side of her face, to see if there was anything that he could catch. He had forgotten about the game that was being played honestly. Having her in his arms at the moment brought something in him. So when his name was called and then truth or dare came after it. He looked up a little confused. Crap. He wasn't wanting to play. He was enjoying himself at the moment. What should he pick. If truth, they would know something about it, dare then he might have to move from the spot that he was in. He didn't want neither at the moment. But any of them knowing something about his personal life was enough to make him pick. "Dare." he said as he removed his hand from Petal's hair and placed both hands behind him, keeping himself up, though cocking his head to the side just to see the girl that was talking to him. His eyebrow raised a little in question waiting for what was to come next.

Mila, being the child of truth and justice could easily ask a truth question and tell whether it is true or not, that would be fun to see whether anyone her tells the truth if they ever chose that. Dare for her was a hard thing as she had to think of weird or difficult stuff to do for the victims who chose it. She had a thought formed in mind when she saw how close and almost too close Petal and Gael interacted to the point that they might be doing something pretty private. She giggled, as much a matchmaker as she was, she’d like to see how strong their relationship was. "Okay good, well your dare is…….to carry Petal around the cabins, blindfolded, with Petal guiding your direction, and back here…… Oh sis, sorry gonna need that blindfold of yours again. " She quickly slip back the blindfold that she threw back to her sister earlier and handed over to Gael. This should test their chemistry and help towards one another. She could say she had bit of the Aphrodite’s charm from just now to be able to think of some dare like this. Beaming she was excited to see how it will turn out.

Annie had come out of cabin 11 that evening to take a walk, feel the fresh air on her skin and mind her own business, her cabin was always so crowded and the campers in there kept increasing, she didn't know how Lilythe did manage everything without going crazy, but she wouldn't ask questions like that now, she just wanted to get away from the mess that was created there. As she walked through the woods however she heard voices giggling, they could have been campers as well as something else so she took the knife out of her pocket and walked towards them slowly, looking through the trees for signs of anyone. When she found everyone in a circle, playing what seemed to be truth or dare Annie relaxed and quickly put the knife away, there were many faces she didn't know but also someone she had spoken to several times. She greeted Sage, Silvio and Gael with a nod. "Can I join you? I ran away from my cabin and I'm bored...", then she, without even waiting for an answer, sat next to Sage and whispered to her friend "something interesting happened?"

The wild challenge of the dare made Petal's heart leap to her throat, her normally pale complexion flushed a deep shade of pink. She glanced at Gael, then back at Mila, mentally grappling with the idea. The thought of being so close to Gael, having to trust him, to guide him, was both thrilling and unnerving. Her thoughts were a chaotic swirl: Would they make a mockery out of themselves? Would she let her guard down too much, revealing the tangled web of feelings she had for him? "Mila!" she exclaimed, trying to feign nonchalance even though her voice quivered slightly. But inside, a curious excitement grew, intertwined with anxiety. She pondered how it would feel to have Gael's arms around her, to trust him to not drop her in this odd yet intimate dance of trust. "Alright," she whispered, more to herself than to anyone else, steeling her resolve. She looked at Gael, uncertainty glittering in her eyes, "So should I like....climb onto your back or are you going to just scoop me up?" she asked.

The dare came to his ears like a river and his eye widened, showing his emotion for just a moment. He didn't want to do that did he? But did he want to sit here and let the others call him names for not doing something so simple. It was an easy dare, but to have Petal telling him where they needed to go might be the harder part. He closed his eyes for a long second before opening them once again. He stood up nodding at Mila. "Sure." he said to her as he dusted himself off. His eyes landed on Annie there. They had chatted a little when they were in the cabin, and he nodded at her too. She got him, being a child of a god that wasn't represented in the camp. He turned to look at Petal this time as she started talking to him. He was really going to do this wasn't he? He went over to grab the blindfold from Mila and turned back to the little Sprite. "You can get on my back and put the blindfold on me." he told her in a soft but rough voice. "So, hurry up." he told her with a small, forced smile on his lips.

Mila grinned, awaiting for their reactions, and as expected, they seemed to not be rejecting her kind proposition. But they had to anyways because of the dare right? She silently clapped and cheered for them , hoping they could succeed in travelling together and back here with great teamwork. She sat back to her seat, wondering how long the game would go, as she was feeling a little droopy at the moment. Maybe because of the kiss just now? She stole some glances at Miro, wondering whether she could catch up with him later or something.

The challenge seemed playful on the surface, but the subtle undertones of vulnerability and trust in Gael's response to her were evident. It was an opportunity, she realized, to pierce through Gael's seemingly impenetrable armor. Maybe, just maybe, she could touch that hidden part of him, that softer side that lay buried beneath layers of darkness and mystery.

Taking a deep breath to muster her courage she moved closer to Gael, her fingers brushing against his back. It was a sensation of warmth, strength, and a hint of danger, all in one. Slowly with the grace of a dancer, she positioned herself to climb onto his back. Her hands gently reached up to secure the blindfold over his eyes, the tips of her fingers lingering on his forehead for a split second longer than necessary. As she secured her position on his back, she took the opportunity to indulge her cheeky side. Playfully, she tugged at a strand of Gael's hair, a playful retaliation for his earlier antics. "This way," she whispered, directing him with gentle tugs, as if holding the reins of a wild stallion.

With every step they took, Petal felt the rhythm of Gael's movements, the subtle shifts in his muscles, the controlled power in his stride. Trusting someone in the way plus also being responsible for their safety was exhilarating and terrifying all at once. As they navigated around the camp, Petal was hyper-aware of their closeness and blushed. Every now and then, she'd lean in and whisper directions into his ear, her lips barely brushing against his skin. Petal was kinda shocked that they had not stumbled over anything yet, at least not too badly. And while there were quite a lot more zigs and zags than the normal straighter path one might take they still managed to clear about 75% of the "course" with relative ease. Nearing a corner she could see the distant light of the campfire again, so close! "Almost there Gael, giddy up!" she teased playfully, soft laughter filling the otherwise quiet atmosphere.

Gael's mind was reeling at the moment. He had been wondering what was going to happen with this little dare. It wasn't like he didn't want to do it. No, he wouldn't go back on his word. He was a man of that. His skin prickled a little when she felt her touch his back, though just barely. He took a deep breath and waited for her to get on his back. Which she had done without any trouble. Which was nice, because he didn't want to hit the ground with her on top of him. That would be a little strange, and he didn't want that to be said all over camp. Gael couldn't hold on to a girl and let her fall. Though that would be a little tamer than what was going around the camp about him already. His hand rested under her legs holding her up, so they wouldn't fall.

Soon his sight went black, and he knew that she had place the blind fold over his head. This was going to be the part that he had to trust her with. Not that he wanted to, or that he trusted anyone other than his own siblings, and that was only sometimes. A light playful pull to his hair and her words brought him out of the thoughts that he was thinking at the moment. He grunted a little and began walking slowly the way that she had pulled his hair. "Don't fail me Sprite." he told her in a low mumble so that only she would be able to hear it. It was totally out of his norm to be doing something like this at the moment.

The steps were slow but flowing, he had to put his trust in her for them to come back to the site with the others. He didn't know what was going on, but he didn't really say anything to her at the moment, he walked in silence. He had walked around most of the camp when she ended up talking, telling him to giddy up. "I will drop you." he told her and slightly let go of her legs to show her that he wasn't joking although there was a smirk on his lips. Would he really do it? Maybe, maybe not. Though if she keeps calling him like a horse, she would more than likely find herself on the ground in the dirt. Because he didn't want to play that, but he notices the tone in her voice was playful so he would be good at the moment. "Which way." he asked her a little more serious this time. He just wanted to get this all over with now.

As they rounded the final corner, successfully reaching their starting point without incident, Petal felt a mix of relief and... disappointment? She couldn't quite put her finger on it. Was she disappointed that the dare was over, that this strange experience had come to an end? Or that her time being this close to Gael had?

Petal grinned as her heart pound. She could almost feel the smirk on Gael's face, even if she couldn't see it. In this blindfolded walk around the camp, she sensed a metaphor of their intricate relationship—dangerous, intoxicating, a delicate balance of power and vulnerability. She tightened her grip around him just a little, more as a cheeky response than out of actual fear. "I dare you," she whispered, her voice tinged with a daring playfulness. It was a loaded statement, carrying within it a multitude of meanings, unspoken words hanging heavily in the air between them. And in that moment, she realized that this dare was about so much more than a playful camp game; it was an unspoken test of trust. Besides....Gael wouldn't really drop her......would he?

Winnie wasn't used to participating in things. Usually, she hung around in the background, content just to watch from afar. At Camp Half-Blood, that was usually enough; there was always so much going on, she never got bored of simply observing it all! She'd been watching the distant game of Truth or Dare from her cabin window for some time, far enough away to have to guess most of what was going on. She saw a boy sprint off into the lake, naked -- I guess he picked dare! Another boy had put on quite a show, too. Winnie's curiosity got the better of her, and she slipped out of her cabin into the night.

She picked her way carefully over to the group, avoiding pegasus droppings and trying not to draw too much attention. She really had no intention of playing, but it had looked so fascinating. Anything new she could learn about her fellow campers, Winnie was there. She slipped into a spare seat, tucking her hair behind her ears as though preparing to listen. She only recognised a few people by name -- Henry was a spitfire from the Athena cabin. It seemed like her game, as she sat more or less in the centre. Then there was Loukas, one of her friends! She gave him an enthusiastic wave. "Hi! The moon seems happy to see you!"

Loukas jolted a little in his seat, he was so infixed on the game going on that he didn't even see Winnie show up. She seemed to have that ability, like a whisp of wind coming along unexpectedly. Oh gosh did she see him naked?!? he panicked for a moment before trying to collect himself as best he could. "Oh hi Winnie! Didn't see you there" he said in a hurried tone hoping that if he talked enough he'd move on from his previous worried thought. "I'm kind of surprised you're up this late. Is the moon rubbing off on you sun girl?" he teased before awkwardly continuing. "Ummmm, soooooo have you ever played this game before? What have you seen so far?" Loukas was not the most subtle of campers, something Sage consistently teased him about.

Winnie gave Loukas's girlfriend Sage a sincere grin before letting out a giggle at his joke. "The moon, yes! Your moon, not so much," she joked, trying to block out the image of him sprinting into the water. It was seared in her mind! "I've never played before," she added quietly, looking around at the chaos that unfolded. One of the boys was carrying Petal Price around! Was it a dare or a whim of his own? Who knows really... even observant Winnie couldn't keep track of all the flings and affairs around camp! "Everyone looks so happy, I just had to come over!"

"You're all very complicated creatures, but you laugh like harp strings," she beamed, looking around. Most people were watching Petal and Gael, but some were, like her and Loukas, caught up in their own conversations.

A part of him felt awkward for having been exposed to his new friend but hey that's truth or dare for you. But another part of him found amusement in Winnie's careful observation of camp dynamics. "Happy to see you're soaking in the lunar ambiance," he grinned, playing along with her joke. Loukas noticed that she was genuinely interested in the emotional landscape of their fellow campers, her remarks almost poetic. "Harp strings, huh? That's a nice way to put it," he responded thoughtfully. His eyes briefly met Sage's, his primary source of comfort, before he redirected his attention to Winnie. "It's a wild game but fun, you should join in if you're feeling adventurous. You never know what you'll end up doing," he said with a light laugh, still tinged with the anxiety of his recent dare. "In fact, what is the more daring thing you've done?" he asked curiously.

Winnie smiled, watching Loukas seek comfort in Sage's eyes. They were very sweet together; when her friends were happy, she was happy. Hugging her knees to her chest, her big eyes scanned the other campers again. Wild and adventurous weren't really her strong suits... most other demigods enjoyed the thrill of spontaneity and battle. She, though, was definitely more of a bake-some-banana-bread-and-bird-watch kind of girl.

"I'm not very daring," she admitted. "I once snuck out of my mum's house when I was 10... only because I wanted to feed the ducks at the park though," she grinned, remembering how much trouble she had got in for that escapade. That was about the start and end of her career as a rebel. "What about you? Aside from your earlier performance of course," she questioned with an airy giggle.

Loukas felt a flush creep up his cheeks at Winnie's last question. His mind darted to a moment not long ago, a daring escapade he and Sage had embarked on that involved sneaking into the stables. It was one of those things they did when they felt the gods' eyes were elsewhere, a secret rendezvous under the guise of "checking on the Pegasus." It was a thrilling, intimate experience but of course he couldn't share that part with Winnie!

"Ah, well, Sage and I once snuck into the stables late at night just to see the Pegasus. It's a whole different atmosphere in there when the moon is high," he found himself saying, glossing over the true details. Hey, it was mostly true! He chuckled, looking at Sage for a brief moment, whose eyes met his and twinkled as if sharing an unspoken secret. "So yeah, that's probably one of the more daring things, aside from tonight's dare of course," he concluded. "So, sounds like you'd be more of a 'truth' girl than a 'dare' one then?"
