Elena was watching other siblings sleeping when suddenly, one of her sisters woke up. She did want someone waking up with her but not so sudden!!! Her heart raced a little bit then came back to normal, she looked at the girl who just woke up, her old memory was brought back. It was Savanna, she was claimed right before her, just a few seconds. She never had a chance to talk to her when she was still at the camp and of course, after she went back to home. She grinned back at her, her left hand placed on her stomach. "Eat. Are you hungry? I'm starving to death", well, she was not that starving since if no one woke up, she would go back to sleep right away. Looking around her siblings who were still sleeping deeply, she shook her head. "Nah, if we do it, they will kick our arse", she laughed, "Savanna, right? I'm Elena. Didn't have the chance to introduce myself properly in the last summer"

Elena noticed Kenna complimented her, her face turned red right away, she nudged her and giggled, "Stop that, you made me blushed". Elena took the marshmallow she just took from the camper, her eyes hurt a little bit as she still lacked of sleep. She poked the marshmallow onto the stick she just received then roasted it on fire. It changed quickly after a few seconds and she took it out. Turning to Kenna, she gave the newly roasted marshmallow, "Hey, do you want some?". Standing up to take new marshmallow and stick, she didn't have the chance to watch the claiming or something strange was happening. When she came back, she found a man with the leather jacket just sitting there in the middle of cabin 5. She was going to ask who he was but Lilythe raised her voice, introduced him as the god of war, Ares. She also saw the unclaimed twin went to cabin 5, which means they were parts of them as well. Are they just claimed? Elena tapped Kenna's shoulder, her head tilted at the god and murmured, "What was going on? Why is he here?". She could also hear Azrael speaking carefully, they all seemed to be scared of the god.

History

Elena is the daughter of a single mom. As far as she could remember, she had never seen her biological father, as in person or in photograph, as if he had never existed. However, she still lived very happily with her mama as Angela really loves her and so does she. Elena is not a very outgoing girl, she never finds the joy of going outside or the beauty of sports so she only goes out when she needs to. Her mother always complained about this, but she didn't think this was a problem. 

In class, she was not liked by her teachers and classmates, except for Alden, a close friend of hers. She was always isolated because she was the daughter of a single mom while their parents thought their children shouldn't play with someone like that. They often say, "Like mother like daughter". Elena never really understood their words but she knew it's bad and in one time, she had a fight because of it. 

She likes it most when she wears headphones, turns on a song she likes and falls asleep. In her dream, she can do anything, the world in it is also much more beautiful although she felt different. She had searched about it and the result was lucid dream. Gradually, she slept more and more. In there, she has more friends, sometimes she also sees an unknown man playing with her but when she wakes up, she cannot remember his face but she found peace when she was sleeping.

One day, during the break, Alden insisted on waking her up, not letting her sleep. Angry, she ran out of the classroom and ran to the basketball court. Her Math teacher was there, asking her why she came out here. She gave a brief answer about what had happened and then, following the Math teacher's instructions, went to the empty room at the back of the building. When she entered the room, she didn't realize that the teacher was behind her trying to arrest her. She only realized it when there was a loud roar behind her. Alden, who now had a horse-like lower half, hit the teacher, who could now only be recognized by his clothes. Before she could react, she was dragged away by Alden, followed by the monster in pursuit. Alden kept saying something about how quickly time passed while she could only tremble at the roar that was resounding behind her. The monster's heavy breathing was getting closer and closer and she wondered why she didn't practice more. Suddenly, she tripped, Alden rushed to protect her but she could no longer think, she fainted.

Personality

Elena is a dreamy little girl, both literally and figuratively. She is not an outgoing person, she chooses to stay at home even though it is the most beautiful day of the year. She is a bit shy when meeting new people but gets very angry if she is woken up while sleeping. She can’t do anything when she lacks of sleep. She isn't a fan of book either.

Elena opened her eyes with joy, she felt like it was a great day. But here she was, standing before the stables, her head still thought about the chore she had to do. She shouldn't wake up that early while others didn't, but she was so hungry, she had been sleeping from yesterday afternoon till now so she had to wake up and have some food. She had to enjoy as much as she could before she got back home and might not have a wonderful sleep like at the camp. She was eating when Chiron told her to clean up the stables as her cabin member didn't do much of the time. Her mouth opened wildly as she was shocking and after she managed to talk, he had gone. So she finished her meal as slow as she could then went to this place. Even she was far from the stables, she could felt the smell of the barn. It was not something she could be familiar with. When she came closer, she found someone already here, she had shovel in her hand. "Hey. You have to clean the barn too?"

Elena woke up pretty late when everyone in her cabin had gone to the bonfire. It was the time of the year everyone gathered around and had a nice party. It was also the chance some campers was claimed by their godly parents when they turned 13. Elena was claimed like that the time she got here but it changed a little bit. When she got here, unclaimed campers were a lot, her sister were claimed after her claim. The child of Hypnos walked to the bonfire just the time she saw the last person was claimed, a son of Hebe. She had seen him around but of course, she didn't have the chance to talk to him. She also found Luca, the guy strawberry-delivery guy, who was talking with someone she had never seen before but she still gave him a wave. Elena spotted her half-sibling and sat next to Codie then asked both of them, "Hey. Did I miss something?"

When Elena opened the door, she could hear other campers chatting about the activity the just practiced while the weather was warm enough for a trip or picnic. The light from outside was too shine for her, the person just got out from bed. She rubbed her eyes to be familiar with the light then blinked a few times. The guy standing at the door looked so energetic, someone who always exercised, trained while she was opposite to him. She wanted to have a nice bed, sleep most of the time, if she had to go outside, the spot behind a tree was a perfect place. Elena tilted her head when he offered her the strawberries, watched behind him to see if there was anyone with him. He had gone alone so it must be tired to go from the bid house to each cabins. "It's okay. But next time please don't come so early. We are not early bird", Elena giggled at the fact she just said, "They look so fresh. Are they just picked out?". The child of Hypnos took the box from his hands, "Thank you anyway. We would love to have some snack in our cabin. I'm always starving when I wake up"

Elena watched Kenna more carefully, she was still sleepy but the grumpy mood had gone away. She blinked a few times to force her eyes open but she could see Kenna had changed a lot. She had been at the camp the whole year, maybe working hard in the forge, making weapons or something, it brought the feelings that she was meant to be here, she belonged to this camp while Elena just looked like some visitors come and go from time to time. "Really? You must introduce me to some of your friends. And show me the camp like we used to?", she giggled when she remembered the time she went here the first time. She hadn't met her satyr friend Alden after she got here, maybe she should went out more often. "So what are you doing? Making weapon?"

Kenna suddenly mentioned her mom and she smiled immediately when she thought about her mom. It was a long story but they had time. "I'm okay. Try not to be eaten and beaten by the monster", she laughed, "Just kidding. I slept a lot but my mom told me to go to a school. I had to force my eyes open the. whole. time". She was not a sport girl so she normally just sat there, now without Alden, she had to be more careful to protect herself. "My mom is fine, she just complained about me for not updating often"

Sleepy and grumpy when she lacks of sleep is what I, the writer thought about her. She is calm and easily make friends. As I'm still figure her character while writing, it's still needed to change and improve a lot. The color I will use to highlight her words is #9999ff

Elena was back at the camp a few days ago but she only slept at their cabin so most of the time, she only met her siblings. Of course, when she woke up, they were sleeping, when she was asleep, maybe they woke up. She hadn't really talked to any of her siblings after she was here but she wasn't too sad about that. Sleeping next to them was a gift she always wanted, quiet and comfortable were all the things she desperately expected when she came here. When it was time of dinner, she woke up because of hunger. She had slept all day so she needed to eat if she wanted to survive. Turning to her siblings, she wondered if there was anyone waking up and had dinner with her.

Since the day she came at camp, she hadn't met anyone else other than her siblings. She just went out for food then came back to her cabin to sleep as her eyes couldn't open anymore. Elena could notice new campers had come at the camp and her siblings had increased but she was too shy to make a new friend. Even she didn't talk much when she was awake, she didn't really feel lonely. In the dreams, she could talk to her moms or her satyr friend. Sleeping here made her comfortable than at home, maybe it's because she didn't scare a monster would chase her when she was asleep. However, when it was early in the morning, a knock woke her up. She opened her eyes immediately, her brows knitted, she looked at the door and got out from her bed. She ran her hand through her hair so she didn't look like a mess and opened the door. A guy was standing outside with a box of strawberries, this must be a child of Demeter. She had heard that they delivered fruits every morning after harvest. "Hello. What can I do for you?", she asked, her eyes couldn't take off the delicious fruits.

Elena went back to the camp when the summer had come. After being claimed in the last summer, she was told she could stay at camp or go home when the summer was over. She didn't hesitate choosing going home, she really missed her mom and her home. Beside, she wanted to make sure her mom was okay, the chase from the monster was still made her having nightmare. Anyway, she just arrived at the camp and honestly, the trip was exhausted. She had to try opening her eyes wide so she could reacted on time if the monster attacked her, and as being a child of Hypnos, it tortured her. Putting her trunk on the bed, she lied down immediately and slept a few minutes later to regain her energy. In her dream, she was trying to contact her mom in dream to inform she was okay and she had arrived and a knock disturbed her. She ignored the knock but the person outside the door didn't give up. Opening her eyes, Elena grumpily got out her bed, walking to the door and opened it. It was Kenna outside, her first friend when she was here. Meeting her was a joy to her if she didn't disturb her dream. Maybe she had heard her coming at camp from someone. "Hey Kenna. I really miss you. How have you been?", Elena hugged her and smiled after secretly sighed.

After Elena stayed for nearly a year, she understood what would happen next. This was an important event for her life, the event she had waited since the time she understood she was a half-blood. The camper here was quite friendly but she wanted a place to belong. She would have half-sister and half-brother like everyone else. She took a place in front of the bonfire, watching two other childs to be claimed. She had known Kenna since the first days and she was very happy for her to be claimed while the other girl was strange. Maybe she joined the camp after her. Elena shrugged and waited for her turn to be claimed.

Elena nodded at her answer while knitting her brows as she heard laughters from other campers. She took Kenna’s hand to stand up and pulled her to somewhere else as she couldn’t bear the attention of the accident brought to them. “They are so mean”, she said after finding a quiet place, “I’m Elena by the way. Really nice to meet you”, she focused too much on the crowd that she forgot to introduce herself. “Have you been claimed?”, she asked curiously.

As soon as she mentioned some names from the stories she had been read, thunder was heard from the outside, like it was trying to threaten the girl not to say those names out loud. Elena shivered down her spine and was told that names had power as well. If that’s so, she just couldn’t say it here or anywhere in the world? And his next words made her eyes opened widely, her mouth couldn’t close properly, she was shocked definitely. Elena never thought it would be true, she closed her mouth after a few minutes and managed to say something. ”You mean they are real, real like us? So what about half-blood? Please don’t tell me you and I are son and daughter of those gods, once again she felt the panic attack came again. 

Elena was sitting outside the big house, tried to accept what reality just threw at her. Demigod? Half Blood? My father is a god? There was nothing making sense here but she couldn’t find another answer for what happened. That’s why she was just sitting here, looking at the sky and wondered about her mother. She hadn’t contacted her since the morning and Elena desperately wanted to make a call to her, told her everything and hope she would say this was a joke. No, this wasn’t a joke, just a life. Elena stood up and went to the cabins when there was more and more people coming to her place. She didn’t like to be alone but she didn’t get used to the crowd, it was too noisy. 

...19...20, there were 20 cabins here and she was unsure about her godly father. The Miller heard that she would know when her 13rd birthday came, a god would ‘claim’ her at her 13rd birthday. She is 12 now and will turn 13 in July, which is more than 1 month from now. She was stuck in her thoughts that she didn’t realize someone was standing on her way. ”Ouch”, she fall on the ground, ”I’m sorry. Are you hurt?”, she asked the girl.

Elena followed James to the kitchen as he said he would explain to her. She had no idea about what happened, maybe Alden had said something while she was panicking. You can’t force someone who has panic attack to listen carefully. Taking a seat next to him, she grabbed the cup of water and drank it immediately. If James didn’t mention, she wouldn’t have realized she was craving for liquid. Putting down the cup, she took a cookie and munched it slowly. ”Thank you”, she finally managed to say. For the first time since she was here, she smiled at him, her hand played with the hair. ”Like Zeus, Poseidon and Demeter? Are they just myths?, she tilted her head. Her mother had read those stories to her when she was a kid.

The silence answered her, which declared nobody was here. She turned around to find Alden but he was nowhere to be found. He knew she didn’t like to be alone but here she is, standing in the middle of the house questioning a lot of things. The pain from her knee reminded her fall when the monster chased after her, something she would like to forget. 

A male voice came from behind her, following after that was the sound of the door opened. Elena turned around and found a older guy welcoming her. The smile on his face reassured her but his words confused her. ”Half what? What do you mean?”, she knitted her eyebrows, ”I’m Elena by the way”
