“Yeah it did seem pretty awkward during the introduction. It seemed like you two was angry wit each other. Need some love between yall. Y’all familly kinda. But you know, none of my business.” He would continue listening to her then she would bring up the egg and saying that he can trust her. “Yes I picked it up, it was big, weird and not in a nest it would die without me helping. It is definitely dangerous it’s the size of a chicken. And if I take it out of the cabin what it gunna keep it warm I have it under a heat lamp I got for one of frogs which I just let go of so I could use the lamp.” He would just continue talking about the frog and how he was one of a few but that he was ok once the egg hatched if it was something that needed it he would keep it in but if not he would find something else to go in there. “So I can’t take it out of the cabin plus you already said you wouldn’t tell. Unless you know of somewhere with heating lamps to do it.”

“Ok so you have some crushes I was mostly kidding to be honest I don’t care.” He would crack himself up and then continue by saying “Why would I tell you? How do I know you won’t just tell James? Technically I didn’t break the rules of no new animals yet.” He would laugh to himself as he would put the towel next to his sisters and sit criss cross. “Ok it starts with a story and I will tell you but you can’t tell James yet? Because it is a secret and I don’t want him to take it.” And listen to her response which would convince him it’s ok. “Ok so yeah so I was running through the woods when I came across a cave right. So I did the logical thing and flipped a coin to see if I went in to explore it. So I did. And I found this bigger egg in it. It seems bigger than a bird but I don’t know what lives up here in New York. So right now it’s under my lamp to stay warm.”

“Allons! ALLONS ANDRALYN! It means let's go. Do you have a extra towel? I am using mine for something else. No questions.” he would start kind of bouncing up and down in excitement then he would see his sister coming down the stairs. He would immediately as she made it down the stairs and say let's race. He would be halfway out the door sprinting as fast as he could. And he would not even care about the race or beating his sister he was so excited to go the lake that as soon as he saw the water he would jump in yelling “CANNONBALL” and jump in performing said cannonball then finally turning around to see if Andralyn was there already or behind him. After seeing her he would swim over or walk over depending on the depth and say “So who won and who are you trying to impress out here? I can be a good wingman or at least one that speaks French.” he would laugh “I am kidding. So race again or are you tired now? Is there a tire swing?”

“I am ok with no bets for now. I do not see any reason for us to bet anything unless there is something that you want to bet. Just in case I lose.” He would laugh then continue alright “Big money big money big money” as she flipped her cards he would yell “Shit, i mean crap i didnt mean to curse in front of a lady.i was taught better.” he would then jump up and yell “Ill go get my swimsuit on and stuff. I love to go swimming.” he would rush into his room and find some shorts he used for swimming and take his shirt off and yell “Are you ready yet!? I do not really know the best way.” when his older sister would come out she would see him with just shorts on no shoes or shirt yelling “Hurry up slowpoke!” And just start running.

“What do you mean, I am too young? Nevermind i don't care i know you are trying to distract me so you can win. Also James said i had to sweep the main room. So don't forget to do that tonight.” he would look at her and her smirk made him feel sorry for Petal but at the end of the day he wasnt worried about it because he didnt have to do any chores for a couple of months. “I would love to go swimming maam. Is it ok? Also where do we go swimming? WAIT WAIT first i will stay also what did we bet what do i win if i win? Or did we not bet anything? Now show me whatcha got.” He would wait for this anticipation to see what his sister got.

“Well that seemed a little too easy. I feel like i could have gotten longer. Do i wanna know what your planning. She made a delicious Breakfast so food is a good option. If your hungry or something. Also that smile is kinda creepy.” he would then look at his cards to see a seven of hearts and a 3 of diamonds that was hidden “I’ll hit!” he would then continue to talk “I would love to go swimming i havent been to the gulf or the swamps in what feels like forever. I use to love going to the pond and taking a dip in it. Wait now stop distracting me and deal the cards.”

Leroy would see Petal making Breakfastand would say “Wait your gunna make breakfast? Do you know how to cook? If so i can bring like Frog legs and stuff to fry. Make some good cajun recipes, i have an envie for some good home made cajun food.” he would see the omelet she was making and as soon as it hit the plate he would scarf down the omelet and then the waffles. They were so fluffy and crisp it made his mouth water and the combination of the strawberries. It made it so sweet and the contrast between the textures was so good. “These are for me too? allons these are great Petal.”

“Hmmmmmm. 2 months you do all my chores and i’ll tell Petal to help you with something. That seems fair to me. Don’t you think? I mean all my chores for James. He is kind of bossy and panicky. For a guy with good luck he seems worried about a lot. I let a lucky coin flip make decisions. It has worked out well so far.” He would pull out a deck of cards and sit across from Andralyn. “I guess you deal first.” as she was shuffling Leroy would ask “So you like swimming? I love to go swimming or out on a boat. However i feel like there will definitely be less alligators here.” he would laugh as he looked at his hand.

“I prefer my payments in the form of favors, those are always more useful than some money or drachma. You know Petal owes me one but since your a sis first one is free. I do not know what to ask for but I am sure I’ll need some help eventually unless you need some help from Petal.” He would laugh. But then as she continued to talk about the camp she would offer swimming and other activities and then suggest poker. “Would that just mostly be a battle of who can get more of our ma’s luck. Sounds like it could be fun but how is that gunna work see who she loves more.” He would start to laugh but say “what the hell? I wish there were some ares or Hermes kids around they like to gamble sometimes and the lose a lot.”

Leroy would look at his older sister and say “ why would you be scared of snakes like my papaw use to say if it ain’t a moccasin or rattlin you’ll probably be fine.” He would start to laugh “He was a crazy old man though but I have heard worse advice. Really though it’s nice around here and I will help if you need it. But it’ll cost ya next time. And I would guess that the snake thought the lights on the lamp were warm.” He would continue and ask “ok I am bored! I’m gunna go find something to do. Do you have any advice on fun stuff to do or is every day just training then food then more swords and stuff? I like bows better anyways. I do not know what to do on a free day and also hiding from James. No particular reason but it seems like a fun idea to try and get out of chores and useless stuff like that.”

Leroy would walk in holding and petting Sly after hearing his name from one of his sisters rooms. “That one aint mine! I Have mine right here.” He would hold up his snake to her and say “i got some hermes kid to get me a tank and supplies so mine don't get out no more. Would you like some help with that. Why is it in your makeup?” he would ask politely “Is it ok to come in?” if she says yes he would walk in open the window and pick up the snake and put it on a branch outside it and close the window. “See it is that simple now can i put sly away.” he would rush and do that and come back in the hallway and see his sister “So i swear it was not my fault this time. Man for a bunch of people who live in the woods yall sure are scared of snakes!”

“Yes Breakfast!! and thank you for breakfast, i was not planning on paying breakfast either way. The dude there forgets which cabin I am in and I make a bet for breakfast all the time. And win because you know Tyche. So I get breakfast free a lot. OOOOOOOOOOO strawberries are you thinking what i am thinking? waffles .” he would laugh and run a little ways “I would like a good Omelet with some andouille sausage. Why would you cook snake eggs? If you cook all the snake eggs there would be no snakes.”

Leroy would follow Dustin out when and follow him around the camp. They would go to the cabins and a few other places. After the tour he would follow him out the back door of the big cabin. On the steps there was another young boy sitting on the steps. “Do you mind if i go talk to him and maybe get a more of a tour from him? No offense your kinda boring.” He would then run off to talk to the young boy on the steps and introduce himself and the two young boys run off. Exit and the end

“You really dont know much about these guys do you?” he would look at her and would watch the snake. It would continue up to a tree and climb up it and leroy would say in response to him being to young to gamble.“Hey now that's just details. It will probably be a while but I could definitely go for some breakfast. Food sounds good i envie some good eggs, oooooo ooooo or an omelet. But I think you are implying that we cheat at poker. Allons to the cafeteria. I dont know how I feel about cheating. I was thinking more like something I could say to throw him off.” He would then start running to the cafeteria and the dinning hall “Are you moving slow on purpose?”

He would look at her and say “I promise ya somethin like this will be fine in a little bit.” He was legitly trying to reassure her that it would be ok. He had had much worse injuries and was ok. So the young lady would go open the door and Leroy would head out towards the woods and yell back “You gunna stand der all day ,Allons! Say goodbye to your slithery friend here.” he would walk towards the woods and gesture towards petal and ask “SO have any nice words to say to him or her? I donno which one so. So” while she was talking Leroy would get distracted and just let the snake go mid sentence. “So about this favor, I’ll let you when I intend to cash it in. i dont gotta need for it now but I am sure something will come up sometime. Unless you know anything about that could be useful in the tyche cabin something to give me a slight edge on distracting someone on poker night. He keeps winning and i wanna win.”

“It’s all good y’all, I was just trying to see if you all knew any Cajun or French.” He would start to laugh and say while picking up his two shoe boxes when one would all of a sudden, from one of the boxes came a croak. “Oh, awkward,I was bored by the creek. You know! Found a frog caught it, saw it was too small to cook up so it became Kermit!” He would start to laugh about the croaking and say “I guess I should tell you about the red neck turtle in the other box. You can’t eat dem Dey don’t have enough meat on em”. He would start laughing again. He would completely forget the slithering snake in his pocket. But it would slither around and maybe noticeable.

Leroy would see some of the older siblings leaving for party which he was upset he did not get an invite to.However he heard about a sleepover at the Hypnos Cabin for the younger siblings. He would go and ask Octavia if she planned on going to the sleepover. Depending on her answer he would offer to walk over to the Hypnos cabin with her. He would go up to the cabin and knocked on the door. When he was invited in he would say “Howdy, how are y’all doin this evening? Thanks for the invite.” He would try to make small talk when he would see Derrick out of the corner of his eyes and say “This is a great sleep over and look at that it’s Derrick.” He would walk over to him and say “How are you bon ami? Are you staying the whole time?”

Leroy would jump at her scream “It's fine nothin to worry about. I have had worse.” he would start to pet the snake on the head and then say “Do you have a water bottle?” and if she hands him one, put a little water in the cap so the snake could get a drink. Petal would slowly pet the snake. “Well I guess. I mean I didn't care if you petted it or not. I just wanted you to see it but if you feel better about pettin it, facin your fears, good on ya.” Looking at the snake, how green it was and how calm it had become. He would stare at the snake for a few seconds absolutely admiring his beauty. He was confident they could probably move it back to the forest to let it go. “I mean I was plannin on just lettin go in the woods somewhere. It is very hard to tell if a snake is a boy or a girl. Who needs bandages? I don't need it for that little thing but I will need you to get the door or you can carry the snake and I will get the doors.

“Oh how rude of me, my mamaw would be honte knowing i did this. But my name is Leroy. It's a pleasure to meet you. I probably should’ve put on more clothes before just running out the door but who likes wearing shirts anyhow and don’t get me started on shirts. But are you sure it's ok to go into the cabin? I really dont wanna be yelled at.” after her approval he would run in and start looking for the snake. He would that it was a harmless little grass snake and say “Oh that thing is harmless.” He would calmly walk up and pick it up. “Can’t believe I am going to be late to breakfast for a grass snake.” he would kind of whisper to himself when all of a sudden he felt a sting on his arm and he looked down to see the snake's mouth open on his arm. The snake bit him. “putain de bordel de merde!! Sorry about my french.” He would laugh a little and then he would pry the mouth off of him and his arm would start bleeding but he would then hold the snake up to Petal. “Here is your friend.”

“I do love the ocean it is always so fun. Where can we get some fishin gear? I have been craving some home style cooking. I dont know where to get some good cajun food but i guess that is a problem for another day.” He would see Derrick throwing stones and join him. However Derrick looked angry and Leroy would ask “You aight there Derrick?” he would be legitly asking. They would talk for a bit and eventually the sun would be setting shortly. “I heard about this camp fire? Should we head that way I guess.”

In a thick Cajun accent “Alright a favor for a favor then.shake on it.” He would hold out his hand to shake on it so a deal would be made. All of a sudden he seemed to be full of energy and a big smile would come across his face. He would say “It was all a show, I was just trying to get something out of this deal, drachma would have worked but a favor is even better. I mean I was gunna go after that snake either way but now you owe me a favor Pauvre ti bête, favors are always more expensive.” He would then start laughing as he sprinted towards the Iris Cabin and hope Petal would follow. He would get there and up to the door and realize that he should probably wait for her. He would wait patiently as Petal would show up. “What color was the snake and what shape was the head? Was it like this”he would make like a triangular shape and pray it wasn’t that, “or like this?” And try to make a rounder shape with his fingers.

Leroy would be sound asleep in his room having let a few of his critters go the night before. He had started to build a legit collection of creatures from the woods surrounding the camp. He had also stayed out late playing games with some of the other kids at the camp. He was killing it with the dice games but you know some of the other kids forget what being the child of Tyche means. He was trying to sleep in when a loud panicking knock on the cabin door. Leroy would just yell “JAMES DOOR! JAMES…” the knocking would continue. “Fine I will get it.” He would stumble out of bed put on some pants and head towards the door. Groggy and slow he walked to the door not realizing he was not wearing any shirt, socks, shoes. He would open the door not really listening to the voice on the other side of the door. He would see a girl a bit older than him and say “what’s happening? I am trying to sleep. There’s a snake? Well they should be there after breakfast still.” He would turn around to see if he could get away.

"Ph ok i guess that makes sense. Getting picked at a bonfire." he would say this kind of sarcastically but then he would say "Do you know who i can talk to about finding out what happened to my family? See if they are ok?" he had a genuine concern in his voice "I donno if you can call them and let me know when you hear something i donno how camp works really never went to a real camp before. i have been Campin (Putting extra emphasis on the -ing syllables) in the swamp before hunting for ducks, deer, dove, turtles, frogs, turkey..." he would continue listing game animals before getting distracted "I guess i am ready to get a tour an stuff."

"Sly I like the sound of that. It seems fitting and I mean dat its only one of dem ratsnakes, they are harmless, unlike dem big cottonmouths back home. they are very venomous but not this one so it should be fine in my pocket i guess till we get a better solution." he would then listen to Derick talk about a beach. "A beach!?! i love the ocean my pa was a fisher in da gulf. he also liked to dive. thats where most of my coins in my collection came from." but then he would yell "ALLONS!!!! Which way to the beach?" as soon as Derick would show the way he would just start taking off in that direction and eventually get to the beach "Derrick its the ocean!"

Devin Long biography Born in west county, St. Louis to a mom who worked at a garage as a secretary, front desk lady. So he spent most of time playing in the garage and the older gentlemen mechanics would teach him a few things here and there. They would talk to Steve, the owner of the shop who wasn’t actually a very good mechanic. At about six was the first time he accidentally burned a candle by making the flame so intense. He would spend everyday at the mechanics before and after school till he was about 9 when he was attacked by something in his school and he accidentally burnt the school's library down defending himself. When he got home Steve was over and grabbed the young buy stuck him in a 69 Chevy and drove to camp half-blood. Steve was his protector. He would find out later that his mother was killed because she would not give up where he was. He arrived at camp half-blood and found out that he could control fire. He was trained how to control it and grew up from 10 in camp half blood. . He got his first motorcycle parts to build at 16. He finished it by 17 smuggling in parts to finish it. He helps by building for the camp and his siblings but refuses to be a cabin leader of any type and builds up the camp. He drives a lot to clear his mind. He is now 19 and works and helps with camp when he is not riding around. Personality He tends to be more of a loner than anything. He is friendly but likes to by himself in the garage or a workshop rather than in a large group of people. He tends to be a little reckless at times even though he is calculating and very good at making things work. He is not very talkative but is a very good listener, sometimes.
