  1. Mason smiled when he noticed Liam bring his weapon down, he was getting a little tired, he wasn't use to this kind of stuff. When Liam spoke Mason could feel a tinge of excitement though, he thought he had potential "Thanks". That's when he said he was going to give Mason one more chance to prove himself with an attack move. Getting into a stance ready to strike "I'll get you this time!" he exclaimed with a grin spreading from ear to ear. Bringing his sword into an attack position, he charged, using a similar technique that Liam did, by alternating side to side, trying to fool him and confuse him as to where he will strike. With in seconds Mason as swinging his sword coming up on Liam's left side, catching Liam, finally landing a hit as he fell forward from the momentum, still finding it hard to find his balance after an attack. Fixing himself upright he turned back toward Liam "I did it!" he said with joy. He was kind of sad though that this also marked the end of their little session. "Thanks for showing me, it was nice meeting you Liam" he said as he turned to walk away, he hoped that Liam would be his brother, once him and Maddox were claimed.
  2. Mason was kind of bummed that him and Maddox weren't allowed to go to the jamming sounding party. Dustin basically said we weren't old enough and told them to head off to the Hypnos's cabin for a sleepover with the other young campers. At first Mason was hesitant and he could tell his brother was too, "the heck with it! let's just go, better than staying in our empty cabin well our older brothers and sisters go have fun without us!" he exclaims. Packing himself a small bag for himself, he wondered what kind of trouble they could get into there. Once Maddox was ready, they both headed out to the Hypnos cabin. Mason remembered meeting Savanna in the forest not to long ago and how just having her around made him feel tired and he looked to Maddox "have you meet a Hypnos camper yet?" questioning him. He wondered if she could do that to him, then what was it going to be like in the cabin. As they arrived the door was already open, picking in there was already a few campers here, but the only person he knew was Savanna, the rest he'd only seen in passing at the camp so far. "Hi Savanna" he waves with a smile. That's when he spots two boys already here and he felt a little better knowing that him and Maddox weren't going to be the only boys, because usually sleep overs were for girls. Looking to Maddox he smiles, "I'm going to go say hi to those two boys over there" he points and walks toward them "Hey guys! I'm Mason" he introduces himself.
  3. Mason could see the shear tear on Maddox face, he was feeling that same fear, but he was a little better at concealing those feelings from others to see him, he did not like showing weakness. Anger was really the only emotion Mason let others see. Maddox and his family were the only ones to see him smile and laugh. Now all he could think about was he would never be happy or smile again. He was hurt and all he wanted to do was blame their mom for leaving them. It took a moment for Maddox to realize what the officers were there for, they were just there to tell us she was dead, they were there to take up away, which could mean they could get separated and that wasn't going to happen if they could help it. Once the realization was hit, Mason was being pulled out by Maddox. "I don't want to be here either, we will figure this out Mad, I promise" he says in a pain redden voice as they kept running. They didn't stop running even after they were out of the school, they ran and ran until they found themselves back at their house. Stopping in their tracks, they staired at the now empty house. "Mad, we might be able to grab a couple things, but we can't stay here, they will come here looking for us" he tells, as tears start to build in his eyes, now that they were away from everyone, Mason couldn't hold back the tears any longer as they started to stream down his face.
  4. Mason groaned rubbing his eyes, he had heard something about these campers that could do something like this but had yet to run into one of them. He couldn't even remember the name of their godly parent. The most he knew about them was they slept a lot themselves, and they could make others tired. He wasn't sure how they did it, and honestly, he didn't think it would happen as quick as it did, so part of him didn't think it was this girl, but she was the only other camper around. Gaining eye contact when she stood up, he gave her a smirk, when she stumbled over her words just to say hi, he could tell he startled her. Mason decided to start to walk over to her, wanting to get a better look at who he was even talking to, when she asked him 'what are you doing here?' He cocked his head to the side, squinting his eyes in a slightly annoyed manner, "What am I doing here, what are you doing out here?" he shoots the question back at her as he comes to stop right in front her. That's when the girl yawned, and next thing he knew, he was yawning along with the girl, he could feel his body start to feel heavy, and all he wanted to do was lay down himself. Which he was trying to fight that urge, he had just woken up not that long ago, he didn't want to go back to sleep. Before the girl could even respond he gave her another annoyed look "are you one of those sleepy campers I've heard about that can make others sleepy too?" he questioned, as he leaned up against the tree that the girl was once laying against.
  5. Mason never let Liam out of his sight as he circled him. He had no idea was Liam was planning, but Mason was determined to prove to this older boy that he could fight. "You won't get me this time!" he demanded, as he rocked on the balls of his feet trying to figure out where Liam was going to strike. He watched as Liam alternated left and right, trying to trip him up but he was paying attention. Just as Mason took a deep breath, trying to concentrate, Liam lunged, headed right for Mason shoulder from behind. Mason wasn't exactly experienced in this type of dual, but he got this weird feeling telling him exactly where his opponent was going to strike. It was a very late response, and he could feel the tip of Liam's sword pierce his shoulder just as he stumbled sideways, swinging his sword up to knock Liam's away. "You almost had me!" he exclaimed, he was proud of himself though, even if the sword did hit him slightly, he was still able to get out of the way before he could do serious damage to him and he could still fight. With a Bright smile on his face, he brought his stance back to a defensive position, pointing his sword toward Liam "You won't get me again!" he challenged with a smirk on his face, he was having fun trying to figure out how to block attacks.
  6. Mason rolled his eyes when he heard the girl call him a 'pretty boy' it was something he'd never been called before, and honestly didn't know how to react to it. Stopping once he was out in the open water, he felt a small since of relief. Running his hands through his hair getting wet and slicking it back out of his face, he looked back toward the shore to see the girl getting into the water. Rolling his eyes, he knew she was right, but he'd be damned to admit that, let alone leave her be. He figured if he could bother her enough, she might get tired of him and leave. "Oh, I'll make sure you don't want to stay here" he says with a smirk and then Mason disappears under the water. He swam as fast as he could, trying to hold his breath as long as possible, coming up just a few feet from her, he took his arms and shoved the water, splashing the water up and into her face. Falling back a little laughing to hard himself, as he watches her reaction. He knew she wouldn't give up without a fight, but she'd have to get tired of him sooner than later, he'd hoped.
  7. Just as Mason's foot hit the sand, the girl was right there with him, falling to the ground as she got there. He couldn't believe what just happened, he had it her beat! How the heck did she catch up so quickly, he thought to himself, glaring at her. "What the hell was that!?" he exclaims. "You cheated! I got here first, the beach is mine for the day, go away!" he growls. This was not how he wanted to spend his time at the beach, the beach was where he could relax in the cool sand, or swim in the water. He wasn't happy and he wanted to make sure the girl new it. Storming off toward the water, he took his shirt off and tossed it to the side, once he got to the waters edge, he slipped his shoes off and started to step into the water, looking back at the girl. "Fine, I'll get in the water, you say on the sand. The water is mine I claimed it first!" he said with a huff, and dived into the water, swimming out as far as he could away from the that girl.
  8. Mason had gotten quite a bit ahead of her, but she managed to catch up, shoving him back. He stumbled being caught off guard, regaining his feet he took off after her. "You're a brave one shoving me" he says with a cocky tone in his voice. The only person aloud to lay hands on him was his brother, even if he was the one to shove her first, he didn't like she shoved him back. Getting slightly head of her, he moved so his foot would trip her, whether she fell to the ground or not, it would still slow her down, he was determined to be the one at that beach first. Honestly, even though he made the bet, even if she was to bet him there, he wouldn't leave, and it would only piss him off more that he got beat by a girl. "I want to beach to myself, just give up and go away!" he yelled behind him as he sprinted, the beach was started to come into view, which meant they were getting closer.
  9. Mason jumped when the music cut off and Lilythe immediately started to get onto them. Looking toward his brother he gave him a small smirk. That smirked was wiped away when he looked back to Lilythe and seen how pissed off she was. It was still kind of funny, but at the same time, she seemed pretty scary mad, and well neither of them really knows what she would do to them being new the camp. Reluctantly Mason stepped forward, and with a halfhearted smile he spoke up "Well, you see we couldn't sleep, and so we decided to play some music. We just wanted to have a little fun is all" he says to Lilythe, with a fake innocent tone. Elbowing his brother, he gave him the look of you better start apologizing with him, or he was going to make him do all of whatever punishment Lilythe gives them.
  10. Mason had a long day, and it was cooling off as the sun was slowing moving down. He decided as a way to relax he was going to head down to the beach. Running back over to his cabin, he went and got changed into his swim trunks, and grabbed a towel as he walked out the door. Heading for the beach, he noticed a girl in the distance, jogging the same way he was going. Mason wasn't in the best of moods, him and Maddox got into a little spat which was usually for them, but Mason wanted time alone and he really didn't want another camper at the beach with him, which is why he waited tell later in the day. He picks his pace up, catching up to her he purposely bumps into her "First to the beach gets the stay, the other has to leave" he yells at her still running getting a head start.
  11. Mason got up early Saturday morning, sneaking around his room to not wake Maddox, he threw on some running clothes. He wanted to go for a run to also explore some of the land that the camp was on. He debated on waking his brother up, but thought better of it, since he could be a grouchy pain in the mornings. Headed the kitchen in their cabin he grabbed a bottle of water and headed out the door. As he ran through the woods, he was falling a trail that led out toward the beach, but it was a way he hadn't been yet. He was enjoying his jog, when he seen someone in the distance, he wasn't sure who they were, but they seemed to be laying against a tree. As he got closer, he could see it was a girl and she appeared to be sleeping. Getting closer, a few fallen twigs crunched under his feet, which caused the girl to stir but she just yawned and adjusted her body. Just as he passed her, he got this strangle feeling of tiredness, yawning himself, he slowed down just passed the girl. "What the hell" he says aggravated, he wasn't tired at all and now all of a sudden, he wanted to go laydown and sleep himself. Turning toward the girl, he glared at her trying to figure out if she had something to do with it or not. 2 @ Savanna Lewis
  12. Mason was still in shock seeing this God, who claimed them as his children. How was this even possible, were we lucky? he thought to himself. Mason wasn't sure if he should be excited or scared, especially after the display of fights that broke out because of Ares. He did understand that his father is where both him and Mad got their anger from. As he watched everything unfold, Ares walked up to an older boy, who is apparently a brother of ours now, and grabbed him by the ear leading him off as he tells the rest of Cabin 5 to follow. Mason and Maddox were apparently part of this cabin now, so they both hopped up quickly and took off following the rest of their new brothers and sisters. Once to the cabin, Ares voice sounded out loud and rough to get in line. Maddox yanked Mason closer to him giving him his 'holy shit' look. Mason sighed and pushed Maddox to get in line "just listen and we will be fine" he whispered to Mad.
  13. Mason glared at Maddox when he made his comment, because all he could think about was their grandparents. They passed away in a house fire. That's when it hit him, his eyes when wide and looked back at the others in the room. His eyes said it all, he had a feeling he knew what they were about to say. Mason grabbed for his brother's hand hoping what he was thinking wasn't about to come true. Unfortunately, he was right and just as the officer said it was their house, Mason could feel the tears build before the man even finished his sentence. Don't cry, I have to be strong for Maddox, he thought to himself, taking a deep breath in and trying to blink away the tears. 'she didn't make it' was the last words Mason remembers hearing when all he could see was red, his mind racing, his ears were ringing. Mason had replaced his sadness with his anger without even realizing it. "Why would she do this to us! Momma G wasn't suppose to die and leave us all alone!" he yells out, as his grip on his brother's hand tightens. Mason was usually the calmer of the two, but he couldn't control himself this time, he wanted nothing more than to scream and tear the room apart. He tried to calm himself, but it wasn't working. Looking to his brother, he whispered "you know what's going to happen to us now" he voice was laced with a sinister but saddened tone hidden within it.
  14. It was a pretty normal day at school, well normal for the boys. They had just got to class and were immediately separated by their teacher. They knew they would be but at the start of the class they always try to sit together until the teacher notices. Once he noticed, Mason was always the one to get up and move all the way across the room. They didn't need to be next to each other to cause trouble though. Just as Mason was getting settled into his new seat, the phone rang, and the whole class went silent. Mason looked over at his brother who was already smirking, but his face dropped with the teacher spoke our names, telling us that we were wanted at the office. Maddox was already up and ready to go. Mason groaned as he got up and headed for the door. What the heck is this all about he thought. They both walked slowly toward the office, keeping close to each other. "I hope not, we didn't even do anything wrong this time" answering Maddox's question, just as they came into view of the office, and there were police officers. Feeling his little brother's hand on his shoulder, he gives him a small smile and takes a deep breath. "I'm not sure what's going on, but this doesn't seem good. We need to be ready Mad" he says as calmly as possible, as he reaches for the door to the office, walking in. Mason was scared, he could feel his heart beating faster. As they stepped in letting the door close behind them, they looked toward their principal and then too the officers "Whatever it is we didn't do it" he says defensively.
  15. Mason falls forward, stumbling as Liam dodges his stab. "Dang it" he growls under his breath, as Liam taunts him. Mason caught his footing just in time to block Liam, but he tricked him. Mason was shocked when Liam changed in mid strike and went for his legs. Falling to the ground, mason cursed under his breath. Taking a deep breath in, he pulls himself back up quickly and goes into a defensive stance. "I'm ready this time, Come at me again" he says through gritted teeth. He was not happy that he was caught off guard, but he was going to be ready for anything this time, or at least so he thought. "I won't let you knock me off my feet this time" he says with a smirk.
  16. Mason was bobbing his head as he threw his hands in the air, jumping up and down on the couch with his brother next to him. Now this was life! In this moment he actually felt slightly happy, especially when he saw the goofy grin come across his brother's face, causing Mason to mirror his brothers goofy smile back at him. That's when he noticed some yelling, and a few campers started to come out of their rooms. Looking up at them, he gave them a wicked grin, as he motioned them to come out. He was really hoping at least some of them might lighten up and join him and his brother. The music was doing its job, getting everyone up, and it was great! Soon the common room was filling up grumpy, sleepy campers, that were yelling at us to turn the music down. Mason just ignored them, jumping more and more, becoming a little more excited, getting more and more into the mood, Mason pushed his brother playfully. As he looked around the room, he hadn't spotted Lilythe yet, which was a good thing. Who knows what she might do to them when she does finally join the party. Mason wanted to have a small hope that Lilythe would just join in and lighten up, but he knew that was far fetched for that women, she was to motherly like.
  17. Mason smiled as his brother got his clothes on. Once Maddox was by his side, he handed him the speakers. Plugging the cord into the speakers he turned the CD player on, and the music came to life through the speakers. Mason smirked as Maddox "TURN THEM UP!" he exclaimed, excitedly. As they walked out of their room, Maddox turned the speakers wide open, and the rock music was blasting through the speakers as they walked down the hallway to the common room. "HECK YES!" Mason shouted, when they reached the common area, he sit the CD player down and climbed onto the couch, banging his head and bouncing. He might have acted a little older, with having to take care himself and his brother, but he was still just a twelve year old boy, who loved his music. He smirked at his brother "GET UP HERE" he laughed as he starts to sing loudly to the music in a horrible voice, but he didn't care. In this moment he didn't care about who woke up or heard, or if they will get in trouble, all he wanted to do was be carefree and have fun after the time him and his brother had. Listening to music was a fun way to get out of his head, and not think about why their father still hadn't claimed them yet. He wanted to know so bad, he hadn't living in this cabin, the campers were nice but sooooo boring compared to him and his brother, who were much more aggressive and active, hardly ever able to sit still.
  18. Mason was having a hard time sleeping with still not knowing who his parent was, and staying in this cabin with a bunch of kids that him and his brother just didn't seem to fit with. He wasn't sure exactly what time it was, but the sun wasn't even up yet, and he shook his brother Maddox "Hey wake up!" he yelled in a whisper at him. Of course, he woke up swinging, and Mason laughed "Hey! it's just me! I got a great idea!!" he says with a mischievous grin across his face. "Get up!" he nudges Maddox again before hoping off the bed and throwing on a pair of pants and a cut off t-shirt. Mason rummaged through his duffle bag until he found the speakers and CD player that him and his brother had snagged while they were living on the streets. Turning on his heel to show his brother "Let's go to the common area and show these boring campers how to rock out!" he said with a laugh. Mason started for the door as he waited for Maddox to get dressed.
  19. Mason didn't normally leave his brother's side, but Maddox was in a mood and Mason wasn't dealing with it, so he told his brother that he was going to check out the Arena, in hopes it would make him follow. Mason could be a hot head too, but as Maddox puts it, he got a little more of their momma G's patients. As Mason left the cabin, he felt a little bad for leaving his brother, but Maddox knew where he would be, and he could come join him when he was ready. Mason made his way to the Arena, looking around he spotted someone. He made his way in, sitting down at one of the benches watching the older camper. He wasn't sure what the guy was doing, but it was interesting enough to watch. He really wanted to try himself, but he didn't have any weapons or even know what he was doing, which he hated making a fool of himself. Mason cleared his throat to get the campers attention, as he stood up from the bench to walk toward him. @ Liam Santos
  20. Mason followed step by step along side his brother, as he listened closely to everything Lilythe was saying and showing them. She pointed to the strawberry fields and her comment had him and his brother busting up laughing in unison. He couldn't help but wonder if that really was true or not, she didn't say she was joking, but Mason still had his doubts. Part of him wanted to meet this Mr. D and see for himself, but at the same time, if it is true, he really doesn't want to be a strawberry plant himself. As they continued, his thoughts ran a muck as she listed off all the possible things they could do there. "A forge" a smile came across Mason's face, as much as he loved the idea of using a weapon, he was also very interested in how they were made. They kept walking, his brother pulling him along when he stood a little to long staring off at everything. When they got to the arena, Mason's mouth dropped, as he watched two people clashing swords with each other. He definitely wanted to try that, he couldn't wait. He could hear his brother's excitement in his question, looking toward him, he smiled in agreement. Then Lilythe made a strange comment, something about training us to be hero's, and that's when his brother piped up. Mason shot him a look and then looked at Lilythe curious as to what she might say to that. Mason didn't really know how to take that, I mean his brother was right, what if we weren't meant to be, or maybe didn't want to be hero's, doesn't being a hero mean that we would have to help other?, he thought to himself. Of course he definitely wanted to fight monsters, and know how to protect his brother, but that's really the only person he feels he would want to protect. Lilythe finally drew him from his thought, when she asked if we had any questions. He looked to his brother and then back to her "Nah, I think we are good" he states, ready to be turned loose. He really wanted to the cabin he would be staying in, and then get to this bonfire in hopes that their father would claim them sooner rather than later.
  21. Mason could feel his brothers apprehension, not that he blamed him of it, he did feel a little worried about himself. His brother finally reaching for a cookie, gave way for a slight smile to come to his face as Maddox munched down it. He still didn't fully trust the lady sitting in front of him, but he didn't want to cause any issues if this was going to end up being their permanent home. As Lilythe spoke about being claimed by their godly parent, Mason couldn't help but wonder who their father could possibly be. He looked over to Maddox, giving him a nod of reassurance, wanting him to know that he can lighten up just a bit, even if stuff went a bad he was still there by his side. Being twins have its own special perks, like letting us quietly speak to each other, just using gestures. Maddox perked up ever so slightly, just enough for Mason to notice, at the mention of being shown around the camp. He took that feeling and ran with it, giving his twin a hard but not mean slap to the back "Come on then!" he says to his brother and Lilythe "Lets go see this camp" Mason comments standing to his feet, nudging his brother up onto his own feet.
  22. Not long after they spoke out, a female voice came out from somewhere offering us to make ourselves at home. Honestly did we really know what that even meant?, he questioned himself, looking toward his brother. Seeing the couch Mason, moves over to it and sits down, with his brother in tow as the women to the voice finally appears with a tray of cookies and lemonade. Before Mason can say anything his brother drives straight in, with an eye roll, Mason elbows his brother and glares at him. "Don't be so rude!" he hisses toward Maddox, as he looks back at the women. Of course Mason was thinking the same thing, he just wasn't going to flat out say it so bluntly like his brother just did. Following suit, he picked a class of lemonade up, eyed his brother and took a sip. It tasted fine, but part of him truly wanted to mess with his brother. They had been through so much though, it might not be the best of ideas right now. "I'm sorry about my brother, I'm Mason, and he is Maddox, we have been through a lot, neither of us take to well to adults, but he has a tendency to be a little more blunt. But I do agree with him, and I will stand my ground on the fact that you will not seperate us!" he states as he can feel himself tensing slightly, that was the only thing that worried him, was being seperated from Maddox.
  23. The week leading up to arriving to this huge house the satyr brought us to, was a crazy one. Monster after monster, it was draining, even with the satyr there to protect them, Mason still felt the need to be up front and keeping his brother as safe as possible. He knew his brother could fight, but it was just the big brother thing to do. Standing in front of this house Mason smiled at Maddox as the satyr told them to go ahead into the house. Mason chuckled at Maddox grumble, when he realized the satyr had already left. "It'll be alright, he said someone would be in the house waiting for us, so you can ask them" he said patting him on the shoulder. Shrugging his shoulders Mason gave his brother a questioning looks, "Maybe?" he said as they walked up to the door. As Maddox opened the door, Mason walked in with his brother following in behind him. "Wow" his eyes went wide has he looked around the room. The most twin like thing they do is speak as one, they both yelled out "Hello?" as they looked toward one another.
  24. Mason Grimes biography Mason was born at 4:02 pm on November 12th 2009, the reason the time is important is because I have brother, who is just 2 minutes younger than me. The doctor's told our mom we Were Mirror twins, I was left handed and my hair parted to the left, Maddox was right handed his hair parted to the right. They found out we were mirror twins by the inkblot shaped birthmark on my left forearm just below my elbow crease, and my brother had the exact same mark mirrored on his right forearm. We were born via C-section thanks to my "little" brother, he was facing wrong which caused our mom some complications. After a few days in the hospital we got to go home with our mom. Now she was a party animal per say, at least that's was she told us. She meet our dad one wild night, and he disappeared after that. Our grandparents helped our mom out, by moving us into a little house behind theirs. As we got older, we weren't the best of kids to our Momma G. Her and our grandparents tried to help us the best they can but they were at a lost with our anger issues. In school we were bullies, well mainly my brother, who hit first and asked later, but I always stuck up for him, no way was he going down without Me by his side. One day when they were 6 years old, they came home to their grandparents house burned to the ground, sadly they were inside and didn't make it out. We also had learning issues, we got told we had ADHD and Dyslexia, which we just shrugged off. Didn't matter what labels we had, it didn't change who we were. In September just two months before we turned 12 years old, we were called into the principal's office, which wasn't unusual for us. But something was off when we walked in and there was a cop and some lady we didn't know. That was when we found out that our Momma G died. As we took that information in, they started to talk about foster care, that's when we both looked at eachother, talking through looks, we knew foster care wasn't for us, we didn't want to be seperated. With in seconds, I shoved the cop, and we both darted out the door. We found some older "street" kids, that took us in and helped us learn the streets. We lived happily, even celebrating our 12th birthday with the kids we meet. We would steal, fight, and do whatever we needed to do to serve. We had only lived on the streets for about 5 months, when were out without our street family, and this giant bird like creature came right for us, both I and my brother were frightened we had never seen anything like it. Just as I was about to get in front of my brother, he grabbed my jacket pulling me back as this strange man came racing up with a sword, fighting and eventually killing the creature. Maddox was ready for a fight with the guy that just saved us, and I was just standing there in shock trying to take it all in. The guy explained to us that he was Satyr and about a camp, and I felt maybe this was for the best. Of course I had to convince my brother, and we set off with the clothes on our back and nothing else. After a few weeks, and plenty more creatures trying to attack us, we made it to this big blue house, where the satyr told us to wait inside there, for more instructions. Personality Mason was the level headed one of the two. Well if you could call him level headed. If you compared him to someone other than his twin they wouldn't really call him level headed. He had his anger issues, but unlike his brother he didn't always hit first. He cared for his brother and that was it. He had trust issues, only reason he trusted the Satyr was because of some weird gut feeling he had. He hated authority, and would fight back any chance he got. He didn't get told what to do, he told you what you were going to do. Mason did have a hint of a sensitive side, but the hell if he would let anyone know that, he wanted everyone to be scared of him. He didn't want anyone thinking they could weasel their way into his or Maddox life. Which by the way they were a 2 for 1 deal, no matter where Mason was Maddox wasn't far behind. Mason is hard to get along with, so his only real friend was his brother Maddox. Which he was perfectly fine with.
