The Red team was given one directive, they were to head to the northern part of the woods and set their flag. At noon, the team trekked into the forest, and managed to set their flag. Hopefully it would be protected well enough to prevent the blue team from finding it.

RPC 1) Camouflage yourself.

Dahlia was so excited for capture the flag as she was ready to use her abilities to defend the flag against the other team. Feeling a bit sad she was not on Tristan's team, this might be a challenge but the game was during the day so his magic would not be as strong. Pulling out her makeup, she was walking to the spot in the woods where she would be defending the flag. Since she was surrounded by the plants it would be easiest for her and Luca to use their abilities against those on the blue team. As she was putting the dark browns on her she was trying to blend in with the trees so that the surprise might happen when plants started to move but no demeter child was in sight. Finishing the first layer, her face was going to look so good, her outfit was one that already looked like a plant. She had made it over the summer when she came up with the idea after being at camp her first year. Seeing people stopping at the stop which was surrounded by trees. A smile was on her face as she felt so much excitement.

Aislynn was the last person you would expect to show up to the Capture the Flag game and actually want to participate. Let alone be the first to find the opponent's flag. She was a bundle of chaos, and a lot of fun. But a coordinated offensive front was not something anyone expected from her. And that was exactly why she tried to give her best effort in the game. Nobody suspected her.

When she arrived at the site where the red team had attempted to hide their flag, she was a little surprised to find it completely unguarded. Or at least, it appeared to be so. She stepped towards the clearing, cautiously and waited to see if anyone would come.

Aislynn reached for the flag...

Dahlia had finished her makeup which was quite good if she could say so herself. Looking to the others in her cabin she sat back to one of the trees behind the flag. Waiting and listening for the other team to come up. Try to grab the flag. That was when she saw her, Aislynn the older Dionysus camper who looked a bit surprise that no one was around. Dahlia tried not to smile as it would make her makeup move. That was when she saw the girls hand go for the flag. That was when she closed her eyes feeling the tree she was standing up against. Making it move towards the girl. Hoping to make the girl jump back and fight the tree as getting the flag would not be that easy.

Her hand was just about to close around the flag when a tree began to move. Okay Demeter kid. Where are you? She couldn't see them, but the power was distinct. Manipulating plants could only be done by children of Demeter or Dionysus--and even the Dionysus kids were really only a subset of plants. She looked around trying to find the person who was responsible. Of course, it could be a Dryad. She thought. They could move their trees, she was sure. She hadn't seen it done, but it would make sense at the very least. Dodging the tree had been easy enough, she had rolled out of the way. But now she was further from the flag. She was going to have to run for it and grab it on the way out, she figured. Aislynn began to run back towards it and stretched her hands out to grasp it again.

Dahlia was trying not to make a sound because what if she saw her. Then the jig would be up. Dahlia watched as the girl rolled away. But this did not stop her from going for the flag though as the girl went running towards it again. Dahlia then began to make other plants try and go for the girls legs. Trying to keep her mouth shut was hard which was when it happened "NOT TODAY" she then had the tree swing at her again. As she stepped out from the camouflage she had going on. The smirk on her tree face. Moving her arms to make the plants around her to go after the girl. If she got it then so be it. But it wouldn't be easy!

Aislynn almost grinned when she saw that the plans that were going for her legs were blackberry bush vines. "Nice try! But my daddy works with fruit too." She thrust her hand up and encouraged the vines to go around her. Aislynn had to think fast and roll forward as the tree tried to come for her. That was actually a close one. But the girl finally came out of her hiding. "Oh, so it's you Wakabayashi." Aislynn smirked. "You're such a sweet girl, I hate to do this to you but..." Aislynn moved to position herself behind the girl. Placing a hand on her head, she goes "I promise to fix it after the game." And Aislynn attempted to cause some minor madness in the girl.

Assuming the girl was down for the count, Aislynn moved to grab the flag once more...

Aislynn was able to grab the flag and make a break for the Blue Team's base. It was a long and arduous journey, with Dahlia hot on her heels. But eventually she was able to take it back to the Blue Team's base, claiming 1 point for her team.

Blue has successfully captured the Red Team's flag, Red Team your flag will be placed in a new location (check your PMs).

Stefan had been pumped for this very event since the beginning of summer. Due to the extreme nature of the competition, not many demigods are willing to participate and be pitted against their friends. That was the point - to test their physical prowess, mental processes, and overall abilities in preparation for a real battle. The man had fought his fair share of monsters but to him, it's no different from facing demigods either. With the preparation of a battle mind set, he wanted to test his new bionic arm that was modified to help him level the playing field against his more physically enhanced peers. Thank goodness Dustin is on his team and James knows how to whip up a good battle plan from his prior experiences. However, the odds were against them and they had to set their flag somewhere else.

The amputee was guarding the flag and can be found circling around it with slow foot steps. Eyes turned into slits every now and then so he can try to spot whoever is nearby friend or foe. Taking a deep breath to maintain a calm composition, waiting for a camper to just attempt to steal the flag within what he calls his protection bubble when he's actually just walking a presumed circumference.

Katie was defending the blue flag but she thought she could spy on the red flag instead so their team could have more chances of winning this round. As the old folk used to say, ‘divide and conquer’. She hoped her half sibling Zoren or any other from the blue team would come as well since they were short handed at the moment. She managed to slip through the trails leading to the red team silently since she wasn't that tall, 160cm, and found the red flag area. One of the red team member was already there protecting the flag, and the flag seemed to be under protection. Hmm, how would she break it? Maybe one of the Hecates can help. Or she would try crafting some battle tools with something herself. Ack it’s tough.

Azrael had returned to the Red teams base to regroup and check in with allies. To assault the enemy flag would require either a solid force or a better level of stealth than he was likely to get past the sneaky ways of Hemres or the magical alerts of Hecate.

He strode up to Stefan asking "How goes the home base?" and nodding to his reply. He looked frustratedly around expecting the next illusion to pop up around him. He started to look for a good hidden spot to guard from as the Hephestus camper did his guard perimeter checks..

Following Katie's lead, Emberlynn pursued Azrael through the forest. She stayed a few paces behind the older campers, keeping a close eye on how they carried themselves. The girl may not have had training quite yet, but that didn't mean she couldn't learn from those around her. Katie struck her as a smart girl - someone with a good head on her shoulders. Perhaps that was a virtue bestowed on her by Athena, or perhaps simply a trait of her own personality. Regardless, it seemed she knew more about this game than Emberlynn did, and the little camper was relieved not to be leading the charge this time.

When they reached the camp, she found that there was another Red Team member waiting for them. Great... she thought. Seriously, was the entire red team composed of buff adult men? Azrael aside, the other guy had to be at least eighteen or nineteen. She'd already seen Mr. Selway  camping out by a red team flag, and the Ares councilor had been mentioned as well.

As for her teammates, she'd met a small somewhat-rude boy and now a girl who looked to be around her age. Though Katie may  have been a bit older - she did seem more experienced with all this. Still, the teams from what she'd seen were wildly unbalanced.  She'd have to do something to distract them. As she and Katie sat near the edge of camp, she tapped the other girl on the shoulder. "I've got an idea," she said. "I doubt those we could take those two in a fight, but perhaps we can lure them away from the flag." She pointed to some large stones laying about, then pulled some leftover vines and ropes from her last trap-making endeavor from her bag.

A few moments later she'd built a precarious stack of stones atop a long string of vine. Em moved a good ways away, then yanked on the rope, causing the stones to crash noisily to the ground. She nodded to Katie as if to say NOW! Then, banking on the distraction, she made a charge for the flag and hoped her ally would do the same...

Azrael took the time to settle into a steady hiding position near the flag and left his Hephaestus teammate to move up and check out the noise as part of his guard rotation. His mighty mechanical arm would be imposing enough to sort most problems.

He gathered his blades ready and prepared for more invaders or magical trickery but mostly he took the time to dart out to intercept the very insistent Iris camper as they hurtled across the camp. He took the time after blocking her charge to call over to Stefan "we have invaders..  I think I might need a cage soon if this keeps up!"

He was trying to work out how best to stop the youths without injury now, he was going to need to work out a plan before the dark came and the shadows began to creep out from the blue team.

"Well m'lady. What other tricks do you have for us..?"

Emberlynn skittered to a halt as Azreal once more intercepted her path. And this guy calls ME persistent. Still, she had to admit she was developing a certain level of admiration for the man. Like a young child looking up to a much older (and stronger) brother. And like any good brother, his uncanny  ability to get in her way had started grating on her nerves. Perhaps she shouldn't have expected to win. By all logic, she shouldn't win. And yet she had. By luck or skill or some combination of the two, the rainbow-haired girl had managed to grab a couple of points for her team. And with the sweet taste of victory fresh on her tongue, defeat was all the more bitter.

More tricks? Well, she hadn't actually thought that far, but she wasn't about to let him know that. "Well, Sir Azrael, I could hardly let you run off mid-conversation, now could I." The young camper eyed the other Red defender. She didn't recognize him, but he looked dangerous. Ember didn't like that calculating gleam in the man's eyes. Thankfully he hadn't gotten involved yet, but it was only a matter of time. As for her own reinforcements... from what she could tell, Katie hadn't been spotted yet. Good. Then she'd do what she did best - keep the others entertained.

"You're going to throw me in a cage?" She put on an indignant face, though she knew this game was no holds barred. Still, it made for an amusing picture. "How ungentlemanly of you. I'm not an animal you know, even if I've no recourse but to fight like one!" To an extent it was an accurate metaphor. The little warrior had relied more on instinct than anything else to survive the game thus far. Though her instincts leaned more toward communication than combat. She made another swipe for the red fag. If she could grab it, awesome, but she mostly wanted to keep the defense occupied until Katie could make her move.

Azrael was impressed at the sheer stubbornness of the camper, he looked down at her and her tactics which though rudimentary were actively working with her team towards their goal. He was ready and pushed back with careful strong blade slashes, designed to clash and push at the big weapon in her hands, to push off balance and disrupt her movements.

Azrael was taking stock of the movements, the attempts to use conversation as a tool in the warfare, one that might not get to him but would do well against those easily goaded into action. He felt like he was throwing his weight around already but the object of the task was not to injure of duel as much as it was to get hold of the flag, and that was the task he kept blocking her access to.

"A cage, to dissuade you of your unwanted advances little one." he said with another flourish of his blades. He started to move to allow his Hephaestus teammate to position himself near the flag while Azrael could start harrying the Blue campers and keep them off the point. "For you are naught but an unruly cookie and should be dispatched as one..." he said knowing that this inside joke would likely be lost on this one but if it ever got back to the younglings they might find amusement...

"Cookie? In that case, don't you mean dis-BATCH-ed?" She did not, in fact, understand the inside joke. But Emberlynn Knight was never one to pass up an opportunity for puns. She watched his movements, finding herself inadvertently mimicking his blocks and slashes. Of course, her attempts were much slower and clumsier than his. "Still..." The girl gave a wry smile. "I wouldn't underestimate me."

Actually, he probably wasn't underestimating her. So far his estimates appeared to be spot on. But all she could do now was keep stalling. "I plan on being quite the warrior when I grow up! Someone strong, like you! Or like Ms. Rayne..." Her former cabin leader was one of the first people that popped into mind. Though she'd recently seen the woman take a rather embarrassing fall, it had done nothing to dampen the girl's admiration.  As she spoke she kept trying. Another pass, another swipe - maybe she'd get lucky.

Come on team... where are you?

"Not so much underestimating, I see great potential but you are still a little.. underdone so far" he said honestly, having used the sparring to assess her capabilities, most of fighting was in the attitude and she had the basis of that much. Still Dustin's lessons would be pretty rollercoaster-y if Azrael had a handle on his style.

On mention of the current camp leader he smiled "She has a bit more of scouting technique but I am sure she still does lessons out by the riverside." he said circling one of the blades in his hand.

"I think we find you a lighter weapon and some actual technique and you will be formidable." He moved fluidly as she made another sprint for the flag to put a foot directly in her path "but this is not that day.."

The hiding was still on. Katie managed to picked some thick vines off the ground around her, and refined some wood as a sword like weapon. Really this was her first ever time to craft a rope in a few minutes. At least it was enough to have a weapon of sort. She made a large ending enough to grab the flag from afar. This wasn’t as challenging luckily as she had her Athena blood in her, for she silently prayed to thank her mother for it. Emberlynn came soon after which made her feel most relieved, and told her about a plan to steal the flag. She nodded and before she was even ready Emberlynn made her move. Luckily she wasn’t seen yet. She ducked down and moved towards the tree behind the red flag. She readied the rope she made and prepared for her attack anytime now.

MK was hiding out in the woods as the action was hot in the forest. MK watched as the other team tried to get their flag and she saw that Azrael was doing a good job keeping the new camper busy while she saw a daughter of Athena  (katie). "Oh noooo not today, I wonder where Zoren is at" she said lowly to herself. Running out of the place she was hiding she was ready to block the daughter of athena. Today was not going to be a loss to the red team if she had anything to say about it. "Surprise" she called to the girl as she got in the way between her and the flag. Katie would have to get past her if she wanted the flag. It was not going to be made easy!

Katie knew her team was already bested by the red team as they were currently outnumbered, and well, the red team had good defense. She had her little sword with her but still she had to grab the flag in some way. She was about to grab it when a Nike child came out of sudden and stood in her way. So it was either a real dogfight or she would not get ahold of the flag. If only she had magic like the Hecates did. ”You guys are really good.” She smiled, actually had no thought of attacking right now since she didn’t like fights at all, but she held tight to her wooden swordlike weapon just in case.

Laney was walking around the woods, trying to find the blue flag when all of a sudden she noticed MK there. She blinked and watched what MK was doing. She was waiting. Of course that was when she jumped out and blocked the blue team from getting their flag. Thank gods. She muttered to herself for a moment before hiding behind a Tree waiting for the next thing to do. She looked around and noticed that Azrael was there as well and she sent them both a wave, letting them know that she would totally be there for them if they needed it.  She would be sitting this one out at the moment since she was the one that grabbed the last flag.

Katie kept calm, it only felt like seconds from when they started spying out the red flag. She knew the blue team would come in rescue of the attacker side, but she still had to be ready for combat. She needed just some time to stall the demigod in front of her, for the rest of the blue team to come so they wouldn’t be outnumbered. She sensed there would be more of the red team for backup so she remained her place. They still have some chances left.

MK was ready for whatever the young girl would throw her way. Seeing the wooden spear in her hand she reached to her own side which had her sword. Since all of the campers were trained in combat it was one she was ready to use. MK having been at camp for 4 summers already and this one being the 5th! Out of the corner of her eye she saw Delany. This made her happy her friend was there ready to help her at any moment. Pulling her sword from its cover she smiled at the athena girl "Come on, show me how badly you want the flag" she called to her holding out her sword.

She smiled a bit knowing that she couldn’t be affected by words from the opponent. She only have to wait for some backup from the blue team.
