Fireworks, Fall 2021

The hurt was washing over MK which Levi could read so well. Part of her want to scream at Zoren for abandoning her but it was too late now. Hearing what Levi was saying about Zoren was hard as her heart was aching. "I guess" she said looking down to the ground as it was hard to look at Levi right now. He was a year older than Zoren but the two acted so different. But when she agreed she hoped her brother Axel would tag along as it would make it a bit better. "Cool where to?" she asked Levi as she turned to Axel with a small smile. It took no time at all for Levi to take her hand and lead her away towards Mateo. Waving for Axel to join she did not want to go without him as a part of her would feel a bit award without someone there with her.

"Ohhhh" she said out loud as she was soon in Levi's lap. Hopefully whatever was happening with Levi was going to not go too far like the lake incident. Part of her was not feeling too comfortable with this at all as she was still with Zoren. The two may not be on the best of terms but she was not the type of girl to be throwing herself at boys. Looking over to Axel it seemed her young brother also did not like something. Just as she was about to say something to him he called her to talk to him. "I will be back okay" she said to Levi as she was getting up to follow her brother as he pulled her to the side.

The look on her face along was one that said she was not okay with it "Not really I mean" she put her hand on her other arm as she rubbed it. It was hard to know how to get out of the situation as Levi was the guy that would escalate things in a heart beat. "That would be nice actually" she said to her younger brother looking relieved. "I hope he doesn't try and start anything" she said looking worried once more.

Levi smiled at the two siblings, he had a feeling as to what was going on, because he was protective over his own siblings as well. He let them have their moment, nodding at MK when she said she would be back. He leaned back on his arms and watched the fireworks go, just enjoying the company of his best friend, sister, and some new friends.
When they came back he smirked when Axel sat down between him and MK "Your a brave little boy" he says laughing, he would never hurt a young kid, but he would tease them, specially when they wanna act tough. "I'm sure your tough, but I can easily get my way without fighting, you know this right?" he says as an empty threat. He may have the powers his mother gave him, but he refused to use them unless he had to. Of course no one at camp but maybe Mateo actually knew this about him. Levi was the camp asshole and he was fine with that.

Levi looks toward MK "Your welcome come sit back on my lap, if the ground becomes to uncomfy for you" he comments with smirks.

Octavia hummed a little as she listened to Derrick and nodded her head. "Sure. I think James wants to keep an eye on us anyways. Way to many people around." She told him with a small shrug as they walked to the spot where they were going to be sitting and smile at the two holding hands. She didn't know Rissa that well but she noticed that her brother seemed so very happy when she was around. She turned her head to Derrick when he asked about the two. "Maybe." She told him as she eyed the couple again. "They do look a little cosy huh." she tucked some of her hair behind her ear and smiled. "Don't worry I wont go all mushy on you that is gross." she giggled but grabbed his and to pull him down with her into the sand. She smiled brightly when James called back out at her. She couldn't help but wave happily to him. He was the best. However, he puffed out when Killian hadn't spoke to her. It was almost like he had other things on his mind. But why didn't he say something back to her? It was then that Derrick questioned her about who he was. She pouted a little more before she pointed to the tall red headed man and crossed her arms a little. "He is Killian. But apparently he doesn't want to talk." she told him as she blinked back a couple tears. She didn't need to cry over a guy that didn't say anything to her.

A certain daughter of Ares was looking forward to this event. A fireworks show at the beach, marking the beginning of the fall season. She knew it was going to get colder from now on so she was glad to have her fall clothes ready which made today could be the last day to enjoy the beach without feeling like you are freezing after a brisk breeze. The rest of her siblings had gone off ready so she was pleased to have the privacy of packing up for the beach. She was looking forward to meeting her friends who had also went ahead to the beach but she simply needed some time to prepare herself for such a big event. "Oh that won't be needed." She commented as she grabbed a dagger out of her tote bag and instead placed the necessities.

It didn't take her long to head to the beach with several other campers heading in the same direction as her. When she arrived, many had gathered into groups already so she began eyeing on the first individual she's familiar with and paraded towards him and apparently her other siblings who were wresting. "Guys..." She gave them a Really? look but she wasn't surprised at their behavior. "At least don't bother other people. We all want to enjoy this event, right?" After they exchanged nods, they were focused on Dustin and so was she. Among the enabling, she wanted to support him - knowing that you've loved someone for the longest time only to break up. Getting back together won't be an easy task but it'll be worth it once more.

Sporting a white tee shirt in which the rims are tied into a bun from the back and denim shorts, she adjusted her tote bag to her shoulder and paraded towards Dustin. His half-sister gave him a light slap to the back of his shoulder. "Hey brother- Oh." She acted shocked upon the eye contact as she covered her mouth. "Krystal. Um, sorry. You guys pretend I wasn't here." Walking a bit away from them, she turned around. "I was never here!" She shouted happily. It was her little attempt to lighten their situation.

Talking to Loukas, the two of them were chatting on the way to the beach. It was nice the two of them were campers who stayed year around together as it was always hard when their friends left at the end of summer. Nonetheless they were going to enjoy this time with everyone as it would be the last time this year she saw all her friends. "Sooo what do you think the Hephaestus Cabin has up their sleeves this time?"  Her gaze went from the path in front of her to Loukas who was walking beside her. Turning around she was looking at him as she walked backwards. "I mean they have done battle scenes in the past but they have been super secret this time." Her hands went to her chin as if she was trying to pull out a good thought.

As the group came into sight she saw the first firework go off in the air. "Crap they have already started......come on Loukas we need to hurrry" she grabbed his arm and began to walk faster and faster to the group who was sitting down watching as the show began.

Loukas was excited, the annual fireworks show was one he looked forward to every year along with any event that took place after the sun had set. It was one of the few times where he felt like he could keep up with the rest of the campers. Plus this year had the added bonus of going with one of his oldest camp friends, Sage. Being a year around camper like him meant that he felt less alone when his other friends had to leave back to the real world. His first year at camp was hard, Sage had made the second year much better. “I don’t really know” he replied to her question. For him the surprise was the best part of the experience.

Smiling, he watched her walk backwards and continue the conversation with increasing enthusiasm. His energy was rising with the night, Sage seemed to have energy 24/7. Her bubbly demeanor had been a little overwhelming when they first met years ago but now he had grown accustomed to it. The loud BOOM of a firecracker broke him out of his thoughts with the sudden realization that they were late. “Let’s go then!” as he linked arms with her and began to brake out into a fast walk, almost a run as the friends hurried to not miss the show. “Who should we sit with?” he asked.

TJ had enjoyed the start of the fireworks - the super awesome bangs and blasts and the cool shapes they made over the lake. He had seen fireworks before sure, plus he had found a stash of firecrackers in the woods once and they made a cool bang; but nothing was of this style or epicness before!

It as while the show was going on he saw that the grown up from Aphrodite was still causing chaos, he had seen them earlier, Ember had been looking him up and then now squaring up to another kid camper. He had his three strikes, plus if he was just being a pretty boy then it was just a bit of water, plus the cabin had told him he needed to go through with it.

He leant over to the rucksack he had left on the tree branch and scooped out a couple of the water balloons out of the bag and then braced himself with a good bit of the tree behind him, taking aim and preparing his throw. Sure it wasn't the skills of Apollo archery but Hermes was an expert at getting a package where its meant to go.

He pulled back and launched the water balloon up and plummeting down towards the group, dropping towards @ Levi Jones ....

With the two of them being so young it was only natural that they shouldn't go far from the older campers. I mean even when they did capture the flag, they stuck with his older brother Azrael almost the whole time. It was nice to have someone care for once. "Yeah we don't want them to worry about us" he said with a smile. His eyes were watching the group as he asked about James. I mean the older campers were very different than him and Octavia. "They are always together any time I see them" he said smirking. When he laughed with a gross face "Good I hated it when girls tried to kiss me back on the playground" he laughed again as he knew Octavia was different than they were.

Laughing as he got pulled down he giggled more "Heyyyyyyyy" he said landing on the sand looking up at the sky. Sitting back up Octavia began to call out to her brother and another old guy. Asking who he was it seemed that might have been the wrong thing to ask as she did not seem the happiest about it. "Well he looks dumb anyways" hoping this might make her feel better. "Let's just get ready for" he didn't even finish his words when a big boom entered the sky. Derrick's eyes lite up as the firework show was beginning. "Loook at that Octavia that was so coool" he tugged on her arm pointing.

As Levi relaxed back, ignoring the fact that a little boy was trying to get between him and the girl he wanted at that time. Watching the fireworks glow in the sky, unaware of the pending doom above his head. Levi knew the younger campers were playing around and hand different playful 'weapons' such as water balloons but he was not excepting one of them to aim one at him.

Once second Levi is dry, enjoying his time. The next a huge balloon lands down on his head bursting open and a good amount of water washes over him. "Shit!" Levi yells, in a mix of emotion, he didn't know if it was an accident or on purpose. He tried to tell himself if it was accident he would be fine, but if one of those little shits hit him on purpose they were in for it. He stood up and looked around, he wasn't seeing any of them at first, but then he spotted one up in a tree "Hey you! get down here now!!" he commented to the young camper (TJ). The way he was positioned, it looked very much like he aimed at him on purpose, which was only making Levi fume more.

"No way pretty boy!" he said throwing the backpack over the shoulder and beginning to scamper around and higher into the tree branches. He told himself this as to make sure Ember didn't get too caught up in the struggle but as much as that he knew that from a good vantage point he could drop a couple more before he caught up. He was only now realizing how much of his skills in climbing and scampering about were all from his godly father but he was enjoying them to their fullest now.

As he got to a good point where he thought he could hop from tree to tree based on the high branches he took the time to look down. The way Levi reacted he knew that the Aphrodite camper was solidly on the asshat list and from the sniggers he could hear from the couple of the Hermes campers he knew that his task was completed. He didn't quite grab out another balloon but the temptation was there already along with his usual cheeky grin.

Levi took off after the boy, and usually didn't use his abilities but he know if he didn't do something to teach this little shit a lesson, he was going to have hell at camp with the other young campers thinking they can pick on him. Once he was in ear shot, Levi spoke in an enchanting voice "Come down here little boy" he says softly, standing under the tree the boy had stopped in.

Levi smiled at the boy, knowing he couldn't resist his words at this point. They are aware of what they are doing, but can't stop themselves from listing to every word spoken to them when Levi used his powers. Using charmspeak can be dangerous if Levi wanted to have full control, but that wasn't his intention, he mainly wanted to embarrass the boy.

TJ saw Levi running up and knew it was now or never, dropping the balloon he had been holding directly downwards in their direction. As it dropped though he couldn't quite make out the words around all of the fireworks and the activity and the thudding of his heart with all the activity. "What?" But for some reason all he could think of was getting a little closer to properly hear what the angry camper had been trying to say. Soon he was beginning to pick his way nimbly down branch by branch... just till he could hear it at least..

Levi smirked as the boy came down. As the boy got closer Levi walked toward him "Come here little boy, we are going to head back to the beach" he says softly with his enchanting voice. The boy instantly started to walk toward the beach, as he passed Levi, Levi wrapped his arm around the boys shoulders leaning down some as he whispered in the boys here "You picked the wrong person to mess with" he says with a evil grin on his face.

Just as they came into view for the rest of the camp to see, Levi then used his clothing curse. Instantly the boys closed shriveled up becoming extremely tight on him, way to small. The boys shirt looked like a tiny crop top showing off his belly and chest. His shorts and boxes began to give him a wedgie. For Levi's last 'trick' he shoved the boy toward the middle of everyone, and told him to then announce his crushes name and tell him or her that he wants to kiss them.

Levi laughed and smiled at the horror look on the boys face as his body begin to move out of his control into the middle of the crowd of all his friends and older campers.

TJ moved in a trance almost through the throng of campers until he had gotten to the water front. his outfit slowly morphing and shrinking around his form, the vest he had rolling up until it had cleared his midriff and what had once been full cargo trousers had crept inch by inch up his legs till his steps were stiff and almost looked like he needed to pee.

He pushed the last step to the edge of the water and yelled at the top of his lungs  "Girls are all horrible and have cooties!" he shouted at the top of his voice... his mind seemed to try to follow what should have been a simple enough command but he was having trouble with it. he looks up and around "... and i want to do kissy things like all the grown ups!"

-------

TJ found himself standing in the middle of the fireworks lot as another rocket burst with light above him he had been up in the tree a minute ago watching the show last he remembered. He looked around at the faces staring from the lakeside at him. "What you all looking at?" he said as he glared around. He felt uncomfortable and tried to pull his trousers back into place, only to realize the nights breeze was catching across his bare stomach and the trousers were now short shorts that had ridden up way too high... He looked around in bewilderment for the moment...

Levi moved back over to his friends, sitting down with a smirk on his face, looking over at Axel "And let this be a lesson to you" he says to him since he wanted to get between him and MK. Of course he let that go for now, but he hoped that this little scene that the Hermes kid was about to do, will prove his point to Axel and the rest of the little shits around camp. He never messed with the younger campers, and he usually stayed far away from them, the only younger kids he had any care for was his sisters and brothers.

Levi leaned back relaxed as the boy began to speak. His clothes caused chuckles to proceed as he spoke. Levi started to laugh hard when the kid said he wanted to do kissy things like all the grown ups. This turned out better then it did in his head. Once the boy had did as he was instructed the charm was gone, but as for his clothes, they would stay that way for the rest of the night. Levi couldn't exactly control how long that curse lasted but he did know that from past experience that the time does play some on reason behind it being used. Levi used it out of anger one day and it only lasted maybe three minutes on a person. But when he uses it as a way to embarrass someone like the Hermes boy it will last usually a good two hours.

TJ slowly began to recall the last of the time that had elapsed, he had been up in the tree and he had been ready to drop another balloon straight on.. wait no.. he hadn't done that though.. something about whispering...

He took an angry look around but even the motion of twisting caused his some tight troubles downstairs, with a small yelp he started to move to push his way back through the crowd, he looked like he would have started to bolt in that direction if he could have but each step seemed to be careful and restricted.

Under his breath he started to mutter with each step "Stupid asshat... deserved to be soaked... deserves everything else... deserves to be torn apart by killer clowns..." tears were slowly starting to build in his eyes but it was hard even for him to tell if this was due to the embarrassment or the constrictions as he tried to stomp away.

"Is that supposed to be a threat?" Axel asked, genuinely curious as he returned to sit between his sister and Levi. The boy wasn't good with social situations, so he wondered if perhaps he was reading the situation wrong. He'd certainly had his words taken the wrong way before. But the hostility dripping from pretty-boy's words left little room for misinterpretation. And what exactly did he mean by "other ways"? If this guy was gonna brainwash his sister with his weeird goddess powers, the Nike kid would mess up his face so bad nobody would fall for him ever again. "What exactly are you implying? You'd better cool off mister-"

Just as he said that though, it seemed Levi did cool off. A water balloon suddenly dropped from the sky, crashing down on the boy's head! Some of the water splashed onto Axel as well, but he was too shocked to notice. He then burst into laughter as Levi took off after the little Hermes kid. As he watched the commotion, he couldn't help but root for the little boy. The kid was smaller than he was, yet for a while there was holding his own against the older camper. It didn't last too long before Levi got his revenge though. Seeing this, Axel's blood boiled more than ever. Much as he was prone to fighting, the kid didn't actually have anger issues. But seeing the guy pick on someone half his size like that. A little water was one thing, but this... Social humiliation was not only something Axel had experience with, but to a teenager it was the highest form of cruelty.

"Oh, lesson learned alright." He growled back. He'd learned that this... Levi. This guy wasn't just an asshole. He was a bully. Someone who used his powers over others to get his way. In that moment, the Aphrodite child had solidified himself as the villain in Axel's narrative. And if he thought he was getting anywhere near his sister he had another thing coming.

Ember was concentrating on her newfound power when TJ suddenly got up and scrambled to the edge of a branch. Target spotted, apparently. The girl couldn't help but giggle a bit. He was certainly a determined boy, excitable and easily distracted. He reminded her a bit of her best friend back home. Atlas had always struck her as a bit of an airhead, though a kindhearted one. Though since coming to camp she had begun to doubt a lot of the things she knew about him. She cheered aloud as she watched her new friend leap through the trees, the older boy hot on his heels. Wow... he really is fast. And he thought my little nightlight was cool.

The end of that confrontation, however, left her horrified. It all happened so quickly. The shrinking clothes, the odd confession... Ember wasn't exactly shocked at TJ's answer to the questions. "Girls have cooties" was pretty on-brand for him. She briefly wondered if he thought that she too -as a girl - was so disgusting. She'd thought they were getting along quite well... No. This wasn't about her. To make him say things like that in front of the other campers- who the hell did this guy think he was!? Emberlynn sprung from the tree with a clumsy thud and ran to his side.

"TJ! Are you alright?" She spun to glare at the older camper, who it seemed had taken to threatening some other boy around their age. Ember didn't know either of them, but her usual inclination to diffuse tense situations has dissolved when he'd done such an awful thing to her friend. "You there! Do you actually think that is an appropriate response? That water didn't cause you any harm. And yet you assault and humiliate someone in such a manner?" Her tone was incredulous. Perhaps she had nothing to do with the situation, but she went on with her tangent. She swept her arms toward the general crowd. "You know what? I take it back. I hope it did harm you. I hope that water revealed to all of these people what a vile and spiteful person you must be on the inside. Especially those young women."

Of course, Emberlynn had no idea what the guy was really like on the inside, but what she had just witness did not make her inclined to give the benefit of the doubt. Having gotten her jabs in, she turned on her heel and chased after TJ. "Are you hurt? Is there anything I might do to help?"

TJ had gotten only about twenty or so waddling paces back towards the Hermes cabin as he kept muttering under his breath. He really hadn't expected anyone to come after him after he found himself in his weird shrunken outfit as Emberlynn chased up he had to struggle not to fall over, Hermes demigod or not he was barely able to move in the outfit and even that took squeaks of pain.

He looked around in surprise as EmberLynn and just about managed to get out a few words.. "Ow..   just a stoopid outfit... stoopid asshat..  can't take a prank." he was still wincing with tears every step or two "  Guess everyone...  was looking at.. the tiny clothes" he whelped.  "Gonna sort.. new clothes" as he kept trying to make his way to the Hermes cabin.

Levi was laughing too hard to really notice anything else. When Axel spoke up after the young boy started to waddle off, back toward his cabin. Before he could respond to Axel, some little girl thought she needed to intrude on his fun. Levi rolled his eyes, "Yep, but at least you all know now that you don't need to mess with me. I haven't messed with any of you all, and that little shit wanted to start something" he says as he leans back, relaxing more into the sand as more fireworks went off in the sky.

Levi didn't care one bit what the other campers thought of him, and he sure as heck felt that was the best way to make sure the little campers didn't mess with him again. Levi wasn't that happiest about using his powers, he also felt a ping of regret after using them, not because he felt bad for the person he used them on. But because it just reinforced the acknowledgment of his mother.

There were days when she thought about her dad....how much she missed him but wondering if even missed her back. The pain of his words lingered in her mind which she had to fight off. Trying to stay present with her good friend Loukas was hard at times which meant sometimes he had to repeat himself. Putting her hands behind her head she thought to herself about all the shows they did in the past "Well it has to be something good! They have been whispering to each other a lot and I haven't been able to get anything out of them." Sage was one that if she could find out the latest news then she was one to write about it. But the Hephaestus cabin did well this year keeping it on the down low.

Sage was a girl that at first was a bit standoffish as she was not one to let others in but as time went on she opened up. Finding this bubbly and corky girl inside! Seeing the first one go off, her face was one of panic. She hated being late to anything so she looked at Loukas hoping he would rush with her. "Well lets see" she stopped this on the edge of the beach looking around. Seeing a few faces she pointed towards James and Rissa with a smile. "There....wait what is happening" she said as she watched Levi and boy she did not like at all was doing something to a younger Hermes cabin boy.

As the water balloon had landed on Levi, Sage began to laugh looking at Loukas to see if he was seeing this. She hoped the boy would be okay but in time it seemed Levi got his revenge. "Oh this is not good" she said as she rushed towards them. "Levi pick on someone your own size, he was just having a laugh but of course you don't even know what fun is do you!" she yelled at him with a glare. She was not afraid of this boy no matter his abilities of charm speak.

As Loukas and Sage walked up to the rest of the campers he watched Sage's face carefully as the events unfolded. He knew his friend well enough to predict how she would react. If there was one thing he knew she hated it was bullying and while the little kid had thrown the water balloon first this did seem like a pretty big escalation on Levi's part. Though Loukas did have to stifle a laugh as poor TJ did look pretty ridiculous.

I should probably make sure Sage doesn't do anything foolish in response he thought to himself. "Hey Sage let's be carf...." but as he turned back to her he noticed she was already running towards the confrontation. "Oh boy" he muttered to himself. He didn't want to confront Levi, not after seeing what he had done to TJ, but he was not about to let Sage charge in without backup. Taking a deep breath he rushed in after her at the ready.

Having Axel there was really nice, having siblings was sort of nice for a change cause normally they were all compettiting with each other. As axel sat in between the two of them she watched as her younger brother was not afraid of Levi. "Be careful Axel" she placed her hand on his arm. Trying to get him to calm down. I mean with Levi having charm speak it was something that made things a bit more difficult with him. As he could get his way if he really wanted. "He had charm speak" she tried to whisper to Axel, hoping he might know what Levi was implying to him. But looking pained when Levi told her she could sit on his lap if she wanted too.

Just then a water balloon came out of the sky right onto Levi. Covering her mouth with her hands, she began to laugh as she looked to see TJ. One of the Hermes new campers had launched. But soon enough it was just like she feared. Levi used his ability to embarrass the poor boy. Just as she was about to say something it was Sage who also got upset! The girl was known to have a bit of a sense of taking things into her own hands when she felt things were unfair. "Sage, girl coool it okay" she said to her seeing that Loukas was close behind her. Glad to see that he was there, made her feel as if things might not go as bad if he wasn't.

Levi, rolled his eyes when he heard Sage start hollering at him. Sage was an interesting girl to him, and he honestly didn't know if he would ever want anything to do with her. He hated how she documented everything! Levi sat up about to say something to the girl charging right for him, but MK spoke up telling her cool down. Levi knew he went a little far, but he really hated someone make him the laugh of the group. He acted like he didn't care what anyone thought of him, but deep down, he did have some resentment toward the judgement of others. He didn't mind being the asshole or manwhore of the camp, but he would not be the one everyone laughed out.

"Oh calm down Sage! He'll be fine! I didn't make him do anything that bad! I could have done way worse and you know it!" he exclaims defending his actions. Ya maybe it was a little to much for just a water balloon, but a water balloon could turn into way more if he didn't do something. Looking toward MK "You know, I actually hate using my powers" he admits to her, he seen the look on her face, and he really didn't want her thinking that he would do that to her, because he wouldn't.

Loukas, looking to defuse the situation was grateful for MK speaking up. However he couldn't help but feel a bit awkward now, both Sage and MK were two of his closest friends and he was hoping a fight wouldn't break out now between the two girls.

Putting a hand on Sage's shoulder he gently tried to pull her back a step. "I think it's over Sage, we were here too late. Let's not let a bully like Levi ruin the show for us. See? The fireworks are starting!" Loukas hoped this would be enough to persuade her that it wasn't worth escalating the situation any further than it already had been. Maybe the loud noise of the fireworks going off and the beautiful displays of color would be enough to distract her. "Besides" he whispered, leaning in so that only she could hear. "We can always come up with a way to get him back later?" he winked. Trying to turn up the charm the way he had seen his own father do so countless times before.
