Ready to Archive Winter Volleyball

[Mateo Sanz Rare]

He could barely hear Levi calling him the couple of times that he was trying to grab his attention. Everything seemed to be going in slow motion for him at the moment. Things were of course not but what he was watching was happening like that. He had no idea what was going through Lena's mind at the moment, but he wanted it to stop as soon as it started. His eyes were trained on Lena for a moment before his head snapped over to look at Levi. His best friend could clam him down, right? This was all just a ploy from Lena, right? She just wanted his attention, but something felt a little off about the whole things. Like something was just about to take a turn south. He listened to reason from Levi, and he could start feeling his body becoming less tense by the minute. He knew that she could be that way, but it still didn't help him none. He huffed a little as he once again went to cross his arms over his chest. His mind was still reeling from what he was watching for a moment, and he didn't know how much more of this he would be willing to take. He glanced back over to Lena and Theo and watched as Theo pulled her closer to him. Mateo could feel his eyebrow twitch a little. He was just going to let it go. He didn't need another Megan in his life. This was how it was turning out for him anyways. He grumbled a little and closed his eyes, taking a deep breath before opening them once again. 

Not meaning to, his eyes went right to where Lena and Theo were. He watched as Theo's hand came down on Lena's ass. His ass... that was his. She belonged to him no one else. How could she think that any of this was okay. She was going to have to explain a lot later on when he was ready to talk to her. His breath got a little heavier and his arms dropped from his chest to fist at his side. It was then that Theo winked at him that everything turned black in his vision. He had no idea what was happening next. Had no idea if anyone was trying to stop him from going to confront them both. But tunnel vision showed that he was heading that way to them. Mainly Theo. He didn't care who he passed on the way or if he had bumped into anyone. He only had one goal at the moment, and it was heading to Theo and Lena. A couple more strides from Mateo and he was soon right next to them both. He didn't take notice that Theo was letting Lena go, he had grabbed her wrist and gently pulled her behind him before getting into Theo's face. "You got a problem here mate," he pushed out 

[Theodore Thatcher]

Theo's arms released Helena from his embrace, he wasn't one to usually let go of a bombshell like her. That puzzled him, but only for a moment, as the towering figure of Mateo came into view! Theo was no stranger to causing trouble and quickly running into dangerous situations. He also was no stranger for continuing to push boundaries well after he shouldn't. "Mateo, Mateo, Mateoooooo. Please allow me to apologize mon ami! I see I have made you quite jealous. Have no fear, daere is plenty of Theo to go around. If you wanted me to grab your ass too you had only need ask" he said in his thick honey-dipped cajun accent; the kind reserved strictly for flirting. As Theo said this he knew it would get a rise out of the very straight Mateo, but that didn't stop him from blowing a kiss anyway; the coup de grace of his whole performance.

[Levi Jones Rare]

Levi had finally gotten through to Mateo, so he let his hand down and watched as he closed his eyes and took a breathe. Still watching what was happening between Lena and Theo, Levi's expression changed when he seen him smack his sisters ass and then proceed to wink at Mateo, taunting him. He knew Mateo seen it as well, because Mateo was gone before he could say anything else. 

As Levi tried to calm himself, knowing Mateo can handle himself, when he overheard that familiar sounds of his sister using her charm speak to get Theo to let go. "That low down son of a bitch" he says through gritted teeth as he heads straight for Theo himself. It was bad enough he was aggravated with his own sister for doing what she did, but now all his anger was geared straight at Theo. He knew Lena, and she was just like him with using charm speak, she hated it just as much as him. Levi's mind was racing, she had to use charm speak just to make him let go, she just had to mess with Theo, his though kept coming as he tried to processes the whole situation. 

When Levi joined Mateo, his hands were in fists as well, when he heard him try to flirt with Mateo. "You piece of shit!" he responds before Mateo can respond back. Levi didn't know what else to say, all he could do was clench his fist and teeth, just staring from Theo to Lena, who was standing behind Mateo. His breathing was hard, as he tried to calm himself, he Levi was never early for violence. But Theo was definitely on his shit list for fucking with his best friend and Sister! 

[Akemi Lancaster Rare]

The minute Theo spoke to Mateo, attempting to flirt with him, Akemi could feel a hot sensation boiling up in her chest, her lungs, her core, snapping like white hot ropes. Her fists tightened slightly, as she stood close to the shadows, but the sensation of magic through her veins wasn't foreign. She didn't know why she was so pissed, she was not the kind of person fight others' battles...she did feel a bit peeved when Theo address Lena, but when Theo crossed Mateo? No, she couldn't...it wasn't like her at all. 

But the purple, crackling light swirling around her balled fists begged to differ, her nails pressing into her palms and causing cuts, from how aggressively she was squeezing. Before she could stop herself, or perhaps prompted by the shadows, she spoke, her voice low and dangerous. "Back. The. Fuck. Up." she said, her voice hitching in her throat. She tried to make that response as quietly as possible, the shadows hiding her still, but the look of anger on her face was clear to see. She refused to admit it or realize it, but her reaction of offense attributed to pure sibling instinct.

No one would mess with them in her presence.

[Helena L'Amour Rare Rare]

In a matter of moments, Mateo was there and pulling her behind him, placing himself between Theo. Lena's cheeks flushed bright red. She hadn't intended to have him protect her from a predator today. Her plan had completely blown up in her face, and she knew that. Her pulse was racing, and she felt completely flustered. With Mateo's grip on her wrist she couldn't do much but watch as he got up in his face.

As her brother and Akemi joined, she couldn't help but feel even more guilty. Here they were defending her, when she had gotten herself in that situation. She would have to remember to apologize to them later. Vehemently. Lena tried to calm everyone down before a fight broke out, but she was so flustered it all came out in French. "Il n'en vaut pas la peine."

[Mateo Sanz Rare]

His breathing was haggard as he pulled Lena behind him, getting her out of the way was his priority at the moment. He didn't know what he was going to do, and he didn't want her to be in the middle of it if things were to go sideways. He knew that his sister and Levi were right behind him just by how cloudy their voices were at the moment to him. However, he didn't pay them any mind since they weren't in this, well he didn't want them to be in this. He was worried more about his girl and the dude in front of him. He was already seething with anger and when Theo went to speak, saying his name in that accent, it just did something to him. Something snapped in his head. It wasn't the fact that Theo was just rubbing salt in his wounds so to speak, it was the fact that the guy thought that this was just a joke and if anyone knew Mateo, they knew that he didn't do jokes in this moment. He inched closer to the guy losing his cool even more but what really threw Mateo over the edge was the fact that he was flirting with him in a time like this. A dark chuckle came from Mateo's lips as his fist connected to Theo's face. He honestly couldn't remember even lifting his arm to even hit the dude. It just happened. Now here was a show. 

[Theodore Thatcher]

Theo had expected to get a stir out of Mateo, what he haddn't planned on was both Levi and Akemi rushing up to him too. He must've crossed a line if that quiet little Hecate was all upset too. He couldn't help but grin, proud of all the chaos he was creating. And over what? Helena had started this, now would probably be a good time to mention that as Mateo looked pretty pis...........................................................................................................................................................

 

With a thud Theo collapses to the ground knocked out cold.

[Akemi Lancaster Rare]

"Woah, okay." Akemi immediately swirled her hands in a brief circle, calling the shadows forward to attempt to drag Mateo backwards, taking great care not to hurt him and keeping an eye on the girl he was protecting. Sure, her face had the expression that she would've most definitely full on fried Theo's face with an ultraviolet bolt, but she really didn't want to be looped in with her sibling in this mess, so she had to play the risk of also ending up as his next punching bag as the shadows wrapped around him, binding. "That's enough from you." but as she stepped in front of him to stop him, the evil glint in her eye, along with her brief coy smirk, was a signal that it was a ploy.

She was amused, and happy that he did that, and it didn't matter to her that he probably wouldn't care, Akemi had to get her point across somehow. But that didn't stop her from wrapping him with shadows. "If you kill him, that's the issue." she mumbled, crossing her arms to look at the decked bitch boy. 

"But that was well thrown and rather well deserved."

[Evelyn Scott Rare]

Evelyn walked to the side when she noticed that Theo was now giving attention to her younger sister. Rolling her eyes she looked back at Samantha as she noticed the girls ass. Smirking she knew this girl could not hide it one bit. But soon it seemed there was so drama with Lena and Theo.....oh gosh what did the girl get herself into. But soon it seemed that Theo's mouth got himself into trouble with several parties which made her roll her eyes as she then saw Mateo throw a punch.

Theo was out like a light switch. Rushing to his side she glared up at Mateo. "Lena you would do this" she said in anger as she got down on the ground. "Do we have an apollo camper?" this is when she got flustered "SOMEONE HELP"

[Akemi Lancaster Rare]

Akemi was finishing off binding her sibling, praying he didn't get back at her for it later, when she overheard Evelyn's comment. She bent down, adrenaline rushing through her so much she disregarded her shadowy, spectral nature. 

"If you were paying attention to your new boy toy as opposed to her ass," she said quietly between them, flicking her eyes over at Samantha, "Then you would've known it wasn't her fault, okay? Don't start." she patted Evelyn's head as she walked back over to her bound brother. "He'll be fine, he's just out cold." she tossed her a small, black rag.  "Hold it to his nose, it looks pretty bad," she said, gesturing to him.

[Samantha Adams]

Smantha had come to play a serious game of competitive volleyball with a few of her friends. She got into position though it was still a major distraction knowing Evelyn was staring at her....well she was staring at something but Samantha wasn't ready to admit it. "Ok Samantha, get ready, it's go time!" she said softly to herself to hype herself up and forget about Evelyn. That's when she noticed that something wasn't quite right and now too many people were running on the field, Mateo, Levi and that silent little Hecate camper, what was her name....Ageha, Aiko,.....no Akemi! "Oh my Athena!" she cried out when Mateo knocked Theo clean out. "WHAT THE HELL IS WRONG WITH YOU ALL?!?" she shouted running in-between Mateo and the downed Theo, surprised to see herself next to Evelyn trying to make sure Theo was ok. Leaping up she marched toward Mateo, finger pointed at his face "Calm. The. Hell. Down!!" she commanded, trying to be as intimidating as she could be.

[Gael Masterson]

Gael was waiting for Theo to say something else when he saw one of the Aphrodite girls come up to Theo and start talking to him. He didn't have a good feeling about this however he was just going to allow it to happen something about the way that Theo seemed to be having fun didn't bother him that much. However, everything happened so fast, and he was soon watching Theo getting punched and then getting knocked out. His mouth dropped and he couldn't help but fall to the ground and help out Evelyn with Theo. "Holy hell." he muttered as he glanced over to the girl. "Let's get him to the big house."

[Helena L'Amour Rare Rare]

Helena watched completely unable to stop what was happening. Mateo's fist met Theo's face with a force that knocked the boy out cold immediately. Helena gasped. Things had gotten beyond out of hand, and Helena felt truly guilty. So it came as a complete surprise when Akemi came to her defense as Evelyn chewed her out. "I didn't think he would hit my ass..." She mumbled softly from behind Mateo. She had to use her charmspeak to keep him from crossing lines she didn't want crossed. She felt completely gross after the whole encounter, and she couldn't believe that her sister of all people couldn't understand that.

[Evelyn Scott Rare]

Evelyn did not care for the excuses her sister had, plus the pat from Akemi. Their friendship was not worth destroying over this dumb drama!!  She was just done with all of this as Gael ended up by Theo's side. "Yes, I can do that" she said to him lifting him up. "Just figure your shit out and stop involving others in it" she said as she began to say as she tried to help Gale. Feeling herself getting blood on her, she had left the rag on the ground. "Man he is heavy" she said trying to lift this dead weight of her boy toy! Soon they would be at the big house where they would find the Apollo camper and most of all Lilythe. Goodness who knows what was going to happen now that this madness had happened. 

[Levi Jones Rare]

Levi's eyes went wide when he seen Mateo's fit come up and then BAM! Theo is on the floor, before Levi can react to anything here comes his sister Evelyn sobbing over her boy toy. Levi rolled his eyes at his younger sister and then turned his attention to Lena "How could you do this! You should of never started it in the first place!" he says with his teeth gritted. After scolding his sister Lena, he looked at Evelyn once more and sighed, as he turned now toward Mateo. 

Putting his hands on his friends shoulders he looks at him in his face, "Dude! Did that make you feel better?" he questions him with a small hint of sarcasm. He couldn't, well maybe he could believe that Mateo would punch a guy, but damn of all times. "It's going to be ok" he tells him, mentally saying it to himself. 

[TJ Gardner]

TJ quickly snapped out of it to move to help lug his big brother out to the big house, realizing bigger folks had the load he changed his plans once more.

"Will run ahead... make sure they get some of that yellow brosia for him."

He smirked for moment from some unseen thought before turning on his heel and headed to the big house

Guess he really was more of a lover than a fighter like he always said...

[Dustin Graves Rare]

Dustin watched as there were tears building in Krystal's eyes. He had no idea what was going on with her at the moment. Then she said something about she was the one that should be sorry. He blinked a little and looked down at her hand when she squeezed his. He was absolutely loving the contact they were having at the moment. It reminded him of what it used to be like. He couldn't help himself when he started grinning. However, her next comment made his eyes widen. She wanted him back just like he wanted her back. She wanted him back! That was the only thing that was running through his mind at the moment. He would be able to kiss her and hug her anytime that he wanted to which was going to be amazing. Though he was going to have to keep his comments about his wanting a life with her in his head for a little while. Until she was ready for something like that. 

The tears were still there, and he was just about to wipe them away when she done it herself and then she told him that she loved him. His heart was racing a mile a minute. "I love you too." he gushed out, very unlike the Ares boy he was. He didn't know what was wrong with him, but Krystal always brought out the good in him no matter what she did. She was the only one that was able to calm him down, minus Lilythe when things normally went array for him. What shocked him more was the fact that she pulled him into a hug. He was expecting that to happen just yet. Hell, he was going to try and take it slow with her so that he didn't mess up anything again. Because he still felt like it was his fault that this all went down anyways. A brighter smile formed on his lips as she had agreed to talk to him more after the game. 

When she pulled away, he couldn't help but miss the contact with her. However, she brought up a very good point. "Right. I'm very confused about that because I remember her not liking that cabin that much..." he said blinking over to her, however there was something else that grabbed his attention. He blinked as he watched Mateo hit Theo. Theo hit the ground and Dustin couldn't help but raise an eyebrow. "Well, looks like we missed something important." He mused and shook his head. He could feel Mateo's anger and he couldn't help but smirk. He wanted to fill that anger a little more so, being the sneaky little shit that he was, decided to push on that anger of Mateo's just a little more. He watched as one of the other campers come up to him pointing her finger at him. The smirk only got bigger on his lips. "Now this is interesting." He faked a sigh and turned to Krystal with innocent eyes. "Let's head to MK." He said shaking his head though clearly amused with himself.

[Krystal Rose]

Krystal was so happy to hear those words, she beat herself up so much for how they ended. She feels it really was her fault, because she got so scared. But now here they were saying I love you, to each other like nothing ever happened. She felt like she was in the clouds. "Right! I wonder if that Levi boy did something to mess with her feelings?" she says slightly choked up still trying to compose herself from all the feelings. 

Krystal had heard the commotion but had choose to ignore whatever it was that was going on, until Dustin made a comment and smirked. At first she gave him a look, then turned to see the boy laying on the ground and Mateo standing by him with so much hate in his eyes. She quickly looked back at Dustin "You didn't!" she said with a stern tone. When Dustin said his next words, and his smirk became bigger, she realized what he had done. Pulling her hand away from his, she hit him open handed on the shoulder "I can't....well ya I can, but still. We were having a moment here and now your just gonna up and cause even more trouble, there was obliviously enough without your help" she gave him an annoyed look. But she couldn't be to mad at him, it was in his nature, and she loved him. She choose to love this bundle of angry! So she bit her lip and kissed him, one because she wanted to, and two just to try and distract him so he doesn't do more. "Ya lets go talk to Mckayla and not get more involved then you just did" she says smiling ear to ear, grabbing his hand to walk with him back over to the court.

[Katie Rose Rare]

Katie had been spending her holidays time at camp. Winter wasn’t that cold here and in turn was much of Summer here. She wore her usual sports attire, and went to the volleyball event following a few campers who were as excited as she was. She hadn’t been able to meet the other cabins so this was a chance to. There were many campers already though the game didn’t seem to start yet. She spotted Sage and Sam her half sisters halfway and smiled at them. She looked around as well wondering if the game was starting soon.

[Rebecca Jones]

Rebecca had been spending the rest of the holidays season at camp since she wanted to meet more people here. Winter wasn’t that cold here and in turn was much of Summer here. She wore her usual sports attire, and went to the volleyball event following a few campers who were as excited as she was. She hadn’t been able to meet the other cabins so this was a chance to. There were many campers already though the game didn’t seem to start yet hmm. For a second she thought she heard someone calling for the Apollo demigods but she was distracted by the environment and the display of the volleyball play area. Ah, when were they starting?

[Dionysus]

A slow clap started from the sidelines of the volleyball field, somehow not too loud but enough to carry to every ear on the pitch.

Clap................  Clap................  Clap................

The swirling grape purple tracksuit (pic) was the first sight to everyone as they turned, it literally swirled and pulled the eye in, a sporty alternative to the usual tasteful shirt fashion statement.

This view was offset by godly and girthy figure lounging in the fold out camping chair with his customary diet coke can nestled in the seat arm pocket. "You know this volleyball thing is not quite as dull as I remembered."

He looked over toward where James looked slightly dumbfounded after all the action had kicked off, and on his watch as much as any other. "Jeeves, shouldn't you have a whistle or something?" he said entirely straight.. "I suspect that counted as a foul" He laughed to himself at the comment, his time away from camp having slightly lifted his spirits but he knew it would not last long.

He pulled his diet coke can from the seat for another swig and settled back to watch the next round of the volleyball. I mean its not as impressive as gladiatorial combat but maybe they would schedule that for the next activity.. those two looked like they might need the practice..

[James Selway Rare Rare Rare]

Poor James just wanted to have a simple game of Volleyball but like all things at this camp....things were never that simple. He had been distracted by Dustin coming to join the group. He nodded to Krystal the other cabin leader of Nike with a smile. It was good to see her talking to Dustin once again as the boy hadn't been the same without her! But with anything things began to go into chaos as Theo the boy who knows no bounds started to flirt with Helena. "Theo don't" he tried to say but it was too late. The boy seemed to always take things to a ten if he could which is when he noticed Mateo walking over. "SHIT" he said as Mateo threw a punch........running his hands through his hair he was worried how Lilythe was going to take this! Not to mention Mr. D. 

"Everyone just calm down" he called out as Evelyn was being her dramatic self once more. Shaking his head he saw that Gael, TJ and Evelyn were taking the boy to the big house. Things were still a mess so why did he even try anymore???? But his head snapped to the side of the courts when he heard a clap....CRAP!

His gazed turns towards the God he knew would be there as always at the worst time. The God was as he always was found with his diet coke in toe. "It is James and I I I tried sir...but you know how the campers are" he tried to stutter out as he hoped he would not get put on latrine duty! "If you say so sir?" He said back to Mr. D who had called the punch a foul.....well i guess it sort of was.

Shaking his head he knew he needed to get the group of them settled into the game. Okay TJ had made the suggestion of Girl God children on one side and the males on the other. Counting he started to figure out what that would make the teams. "Everyone EYES ON ME" he called out before naming the teams. 

Team 1: Dustin Grave, Rebecca Jones, Krystal Rose, McKayla Johnson, Levi Jones

Team 2: James Selway, Samantha Adams, Helena L' Amour, Mateo Sanz, Katie Rose

Calling out the names for what team, he would add them more as they joined. 

[Samantha Adams]

Today was NOT going according to plan for Samantha, this was supposed to be a simple game of volleyball put on by James, it was turning into anything but! She'd tried to get Mateo to back down but he was just in a pissy mood and mouthed off about not even knowing who she was. As if! Everyone knew who she was, she was the moral glue holding this camp together. And speaking of people who were supposed to be holding things together, there he was; Mr. D! Just the person who should be stepping in, only he certainly didn't appear to be. She knew James was trying to get teams put together but that could wait.

 

Marching straight up to Mr. D she planned to give him a piece of her mind! "Excuse me?? Foul?? How about being kicked off the field entirely! He punched and knocked out another camper! Who knows who he might sock next? Aren't you supposed to be responsible for our safety??" She was getting angry herself now, taking a deep breath to try and calm her emotions down, she was better than giving into them. "Aren't you going to do something about this?" she said a little more calmly this time.

[Dionysus]

Mr D could feel the tinge of madness coming off of this one even before she started to march her way forward.

He took the moment to savor the emotions boiling off of her as he took a sip from his can of diet coke letting her tirade burn out like the last of a candle. He thought about a potted plant.. some time in the care of the Demeter kids might help her mellow. 

"fu-ow-ul. not playing by the rules. Jeeves is supposed to blow his whistle before you kids start attacking one another. I don't know if you have worked it out yet but the game -is- part of the punishment.." he did seem to take a moment to think it through.

"You do make a loud and obnoxious point though, Samuel" he said standing up seemingly finished with their discussion.. "you.. Dusty.. aren't you supposed to be the punch instructor?"  pointing over to Dustin "That boy they dragged away was a sorry excuse..."

It was always a bad sign when Dionysus opened his arms wide and started a speech, he had the oratory skills of a senator with the ability to get the attention of pretty much any party and that was what he was starting now.

"I want to see a real fight, no weapons.. you have two weeks to get that lightweight into shape for a proper battle in the arena. You get to share in his rise or his downfall. If you are so ready to tangle yourselves together then the arena will be ready for those two.. at the feast of the Lenaia!"

And he was just about able to keep that vacation time buzz going for all of five seconds.. they even picked the worst time to make him make this kind of decree - well he should try to be on stepmother good side and it was her month. Plus she had enough problems with these wretched rugrats maybe she would send some off into the wilderness again...

Dionysus could feel a migraine coming on. He resisted the urge to pick out the pocket watch from inside his tracksuit, that he used to track his remaining years of punishment.. only fifty more years until I can get a drink...

[Killian O'Connor]

Killian might have woken up a bit late as he had been drinking with his siblings a bit...well more than a bit! They had a good time as they sang, danced and laughed. Ohhhh how he had missed these nights when he was off a new rome. They were a bit more strict over there....in his opinion! Well anyways he had gotten himself together as he strolled off towards the courts as he saw Theo being carried by Evelyn and Gael with lad TJ. Raising an eyebrow he hurried a little more to see if anyone else needed help.

But upon arriving he saw his Dear oh daddy talking to some of the camper. Ohhhhh this should be good. "Ohhhhh it is Dadaí D, it is good to see you" he said with a smirk. Most never got to meet their olympian parent. "Soooo what did I miss...seems like it was a knockout!" Winking at James to Dustin he smirked.
