Ready to Archive Winter Volleyball

[Levi Jones Rare]

Next few moments seem to just flash before his eyes so quick he could barely comprehend what was going on anymore. Shaking his head, and look back toward the court, he noticed more people showing up. One specific person catching his attention, Dionysus. "Well look who finally decides to show up" he says eyeing him. Levi couldn't really stand Dionysus, he was suppose to be there to help run the camp, yet he had been gone living it all up to another camper. Now he shows up for this! Rolling his eyes, he turned his attention to James, who started to speak.

James announced teams, and when Levi heard his name, "I am not playing, I just came here to watch" he protested, Mr. D said playing was part of the punishment but Levi didn't do anything, so he didn't feel that, that statement applied to him. Looking back at Mateo, "Are you good, Bro?" he questions him, as his over dramatic sister and some others carried that Theo guy off to the big house.

[Mateo Sanz Rare]

His breathing was still hard as he watched in slow motion as Theo hit the floor. The fact that he had knocked him out was shocking to him. So, the guy couldn't take a punch? His mind was reeling with what was going to happen next that he hadn't even noticed that he was being pulled back by shadows. He glanced down when he felt himself moving and looked back at his sister, who was now coming into view a little more as she stepped in front of him. Then he started to hear everything else around him. A girl's voice that started to scream and all of a sudden, he started feeling angrier like he could hit something else. He had no idea where this was coming from, and he was a little shocked if he could say so himself. It was in that moment another girl came up to him and pointed a finger at him telling him to calm down. He glanced down at her, still mean mugging everyone around. "And who are you?" he questioned not really caring that if she said anything else to him. 

His attention was once again on Levi, and he could feel himself calming down a little more. He felt himself breath slowly for the first time in what felt like ages. "Felt pretty damn good." he muttered knowing that wasn't what his friend wanted to hear but that was what he was going to get. A clap however seemed to grab everyone's attention. He blinked and looked over his shoulder to see Mr. D sitting there watching. Oh shit. He had seen everything that had happened today. Well shit. he thought to himself as he couldn't help but wonder what was going to happen next. His attention went to Levi once again this time he could honestly say that he was good. "Yeah. I'm fine." She said as she shook his hand that he punched with. 

[Helena L'Amour Rare Rare]

Mateo still had a hold of her wrist. Which meant that, thanks to Akemi's shadows she was pulled up right against him. She could feel the rage in him, and she wasn't even a child of Ares. It exuded off of him, and she was sure everyone nearby could feel it. She had really miscalculated this whole scheme, and had tons of regrets. It became really awkward when Levi turned his ire on her. "I didn't think he was going to turn into an absolute predator in front of everyone... and... I'm single, in case you boys have forgotten!"

Her righteous indignation at both of her siblings turning on her in a matter of minutes came to a screeching halt when she heard the thunderous clap. She turned to see Mr. D freshly returned to camp. She watched on in horror, convinced that a far more severe punishment was incoming. However she felt like Samantha might be pulling some of his ire as she boldly attempted to tell a literal god how to do their job. The fact that he hadn't turned her into a grape vine instantaneously was astounding to Helena. But then Dionysus issued a decree that Mateo would have to fight Theo in a matter of weeks. This is all my fault...

[Rebecca Jones]

Rebecca sighed and shook her head watching the drama acting in front of her. This was all the other cabins’ act. Luckily Apollos were famous for their straightforwardness and justice, so they weren’t always in a fight. She began humming with a hymn song and looked over to see if anyone needed some healing, not physically but in heart. Then Mr D came and it seemed that more drama was brought to the volleyball game session. Well luckily the game was about to start and she turned to over James when he announced the grouping. Moving to the Team 2 side she hoped it was going to be fun than overwhelming with the situation going on. 

[Dionysus]

Dionysus sighed as the Aphrodite started to make his complaints, thoughts of a thorny rosebush passed in front of his eyes but thankfully it was at this point he saw Killian arrive - possibly late to the game, possibly just in time.

As Killian asked what he had missed he responded "You will get a chance to have a chance to see round 2 kiddo" he said as he took his seat again, a fresh can of diet coke in the side..

He then leaned forward in his seat as a whistle appeared in his hand from nowhere and then blew it loudly.

"Substitution! Sending Killian on in your place! Show them that Cabin Twelve can be both lovers and fighters - just like Me."

A smile came to his lips... a memory of one hell of a night in a Dublin bar.. some women were like a fine wine - that one was like a double whisky, knocks your senses for a couple of rounds but leaves you with a fire in your heart! - damn was he in need of a drink... 

“Well, I did not miss this place!” he said to the assembled campers.. "Next one to complain gets sent off as a bottle of Pinot Grigio!"

He cracked the ring pull on the fresh can and looked expectantly at James.

[Sage Roberts]

Sage was watching everything that was going on as it was a lot at once. It seemed Helena was wanting to make her man jealous but backfired as Theo was a loose cannon. He took things too far which then had him get knocked out by Mateo. Sage looked at Akemi when she told her to take note which she did as her notebook and pen was out writing fast as she just wished her hand her camera to take a photo of Evelyn screaming about her broken boytoy. Sage couldn't help but smirk at it all as this was just ridiculous when Mr. D showed up. 

Putting her notebook away she listened as Mr. D was going to punish them all by playing a game. Oh no she was going to disappear before that would happen to her. So as Mr. D attention was focused on Levi and Killian who just join she began to slowly back out of the area hoping no one would say a word!

[Samantha Adams]

Samantha got back into position, she was determined to actually get to play the game! Looking around her to see who all was on her team yellow again;James, Helena, Mateo, Katie and Herself. And assembled across from her stood Dustin, Rebecca, Krystal, McKayla, and Killian with the last minute substitution for team orange. 

This time everyone waited until Mr. D blew the whistle before beginning. Samantha knew this would be an uphill battle against a team consisting of TWO Nike kids, but like any game strategy was key and that was her gift. As the ball went back and forth she paid attention to where everyone was set up and when she saw an opening she went for it leaping up and spiking the ball into enemy territory for the point. "Wwwwooooowwwhhhoooo! Bring it Nikes!" she cried out in challenge. 

Yellow: 1

Orange: 0

[Dionysus]

Mr D had spotted the child sneaking away, still not entirely sure who was meant to be playing this game but at least getting Jeeves' attention. It was at that point that the kids that had lined up across the net started their match.

Seeing how both sides had the same number of kids, though a disappointing lack of weaponry, he considered it to be mostly fair and let it continue.

So they just bounce that ball around, no weapons, no flaming ball, not even the customary volley of grapeshot. he looked over the match and they seemed to be getting into the spirit of it.. one of Athena's brood seemed to be doing well enough and landed the ball roughly in the right area.

Taking the time to think back to Chiron, he really should work out where he had trotted off to - how was he supposed to get any peace when he wasn't around to corral these little foals, and his decision to add lava to the climbing walls he clicked his finger as they were setting up for another round.

From the two posts at the edges of the net, giant vines curled around the poles, they spread across the net itself like creeping ivy and then bloomed into flowers and produced mighty long and wicked looking spiky thorns, a fine addition to the game.

Leaning back to watch the mayhem and eyeing up the edges of the court with magma pits in mind, just in case the term out really needed some punctuation for the second half, he went back to enjoy the rest of his diet coke.

One more day towards his eventual escape..

[Katie Rose Rare]

Katie was still sleepy actually from her night’s sleep just now. It all went a bit hazy but she was sure she was standing by at the yellow team where James had briefed them. So she and her Athena siblings were fighting together, yay! She wasn’t good at volleyball, but they were all strategy so she thought she might help with throwing in which side. Though this was practice after all so they could enjoy the game whilst having an audience , Dionysus. It seemed that it became a forced game ?  She hoped they win though, Athenas were competitive sometimes. She cheered at Sam’s goal. Next round the orange team started, and Katie was ready with her feet. She jumped and punched the ball towards the opposite row. 
Floop! It landed on the ground just near the net.

[McKayla Johnson]

It was like everything happened so fast that she even forgot about the game. The drama of it all had gotten people worked up when Mr. D showed up.....oh Snap! What was going to happen to Mateo or even Theo???? Well whatever it was she was not apart of it at all. They were then placed on teams which Levi was not happy about. Running up to him she smiled "Hey will you still watch me play? I can make it worth your while later okay!" She leaned up and kissed him before she ran back to the court.

It was being a good game with things aside!!!! She set it up to let her sister then pass it back as the Athena Campers had been getting a few points in. So when someone set it up she spiked it down. Scoring a point for the orange team. "Take that Athena" she laughed as she high fived Krystal.

Orange: 1

[Levi Jones Rare]

Everything had happen so quick, Levi really wasn't sure what was going on at first. When Mr. D showed up, he decided to help dictate who is playing, which Levi had forgotten about the volley game at first. When Mr. D tried to say he was playing, he refused. Rolling his eyes at Mr. D, he thought for sure he was going to get forced into playing, but when Mr. D got distracted and went on to someone else, Levi grinned slightly. Once he got confirmation from Mateo, he patted his shoulder, and walked over to the court line, where he could get a perfect view. 

Levi's smile grew winder when McKayla came up to him, her words made him chuckle. He kissed her back "Of course, I can't wait" he said with a wink, smacking her ass as she turned back toward the court to join in the game.

[James Selway Rare Rare Rare]

Even though the group seemed to have a bit of drama at the beginning of this, Mr. D made sure that they all played a game to entertain him. Even with the Nike campers being on their tip top shape did not come out with a win against the orange team! With a final score of

Yellow: 25 points

Orange: 23 points

The group finishing headed out for a bit to eat as they all worked up an appetite. The Dining Pavilion ready to welcome them all with some barbecue, fruits and cheeses. James looked around smiling at everyone as they cleared out fast. 

[Loukas Makris]

Loukas rubbed the sleep out of his eyes as he made his way out of the clearing onto the volleyball field. He'd promised Sage yesterday that he'd make an appearance and maybe even end up playing too. Looking around though he didn't spot a single camper. "Hello! Where is everybody?" he shouted out confused. "Wow! I'm actually EARLY for once" this was an unusual experience for him but Sage would certainly be excited to see he was the first to arrive as he walked towards the volleyball net, leaning against the post waiting for the others to show up.
