The Chronicler Posted June 11, 2023 The Storyteller Share Posted June 11, 2023 Capture the Flag Event The houses will be divided into teams of the Red vs. Blue The event will start at 12am British Summer Time on Saturday, June 17th, and will go until Sunday, July 1st. Administrators will notify each team where their flag is to be located originally, with the Administrators placing it there themselves. Subsequent flags will be placed after a flag has been captured, by the team members who have had the flag captured. Each team will attempt to capture the opposing team’s flag by posting where it is. The defensive team can stop the capture by posting within one hour of the offense. Failure to do so will result in the offense capturing the flag, at which point the defensive team will need to place their flag in a new location within the event area. A flag is only moved in the event of a successful capture, if a team successfully defends their flag, the flag remains in the same position until an offensive team member manages to capture the flag in a new countdown. All posts must be in RP style, single word posts will not count as an attempt to capture or defend a flag. Each captured flag will be worth 1 point. Alternate ways to earn points for your team include completing RP Challenge tasks (information below). These are worth 5 points for each participant who posts at least 3 posts, but must be completed to count for points. This means, they need a beginning, middle, and end to the posting. The team with the most points, or captured flags, at the end of the time period will win the event! Sample Flag Capture: Administrators place the Red team’s flag in thread A, and Blue team’s flag in thread B. Red team posts in thread B with an attempt to capture their flag at 4:35pm, Blue team fails to post by 5:34pm the same day. Red team successfully captured the flag from the Blue Team. Blue Team must now place their flag in thread C, D, or E. Sample Flag Defense: Administrators place the Red team’s flag in thread A, and Blue team’s flag in thread B. Red team posts in thread B with an attempt to capture their flag at 4:35pm, Blue team posts by 5:34pm the same day. They have successfully defended their flag from the Red Team. Below are a list of possible scenarios, writing prompts of a sort, that can be completed throughout the event. You simply find a partner (or several) to write one with, and attempt to complete the roleplay with a beginning, middle, and end before the end of the event. The roleplay does not have to be in the event forum. However they do need to be turned in using the form below. There is to be a minimum of 3 posts per person involved. RP Challenge Number: Participating Characters: (list all characters involved) Link to First Post: List of Roleplay Challenges: 1) Camouflage yourself. 2) Spy on the enemy forces. 3) Capture a fellow teammate on accident! 4) Actively avoid participating. 5) Get into a fight with a friend. 6) Get yourself injured. 7) Get at least 4 people lost with you. (worth an extra 2 points per person in addition to the 5 if you can get 5 actual characters, you count as one of the 5) 8.) Follow the trail. 9) Bring sustenance to your teammates. 10) Create an elaborate plan. 11) Fend off a Hellhound. 12) Defeat some Myrmekes. 13) Roast a Scorpion! 14) Eliminate a Karpoi. 15) Hide from the monsters! 16) Break up a fight between teammates. 17) Grab the wrong item. 18) Attempt, and fail, to make peace with the other team (you don't need a member of the other team to RP with you) 19) Get captured! 20) Spring your own trap! 21) Forage for a meal. 22) Search for a Dryad. 23) Fall in some water. 24) Make up a scary story and tell it to another teammate 25) Celebrate your "impending victory" a little too early Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
